What: Divination Lesson One

Where: Divination Tower Classroom....and then other places.

What to Bring: Nothing much, just some parchment and quills for notes

When: NOW! (Lesson will last approx. from Jan. 7th-11th)

OOC: The lesson won't officially start for at least 6-7 hours, so around 8-9pm EST. Be sure to read and re-read the Classroom Rules for Divination before attending lessons. I WILL know if you haven't.

1.) List at least two ways the study of Ichnomancy (human or animal) could benefit someone. (3 points)

2.) Break down the work Ichnomancy to discover its origins in language. (2 points)

3.) Create a short story (2 paragraphs; 1 paragraph = 5 sentences) of an animal of your choice making a short journey and leaving behind prints for someone to discover. Please be specific in what they are doing to cause these prints and include any emotions you would like the animal to feel. Next you will have a witch or wizard come along and interpret the prints like you did in the lesson.

OOC: The lesson won't officially start until around 1-2 pm EST on the 17th. Be sure to read and re-read the Classroom Rules for Divination before attending lessons. I WILL know if you haven't.

1.) You are to create ONE card that you think would add something interesting to our Tarot Deck. (10 points)

2.) Become closer to your tarot deck by spending time with it, meditating, or sleeping with it. (5 points)

OOC:
1.) You are to create your own tarot card in a photo editting/creating site like PhotoShop, GIMP, or any of the loads of free ones like paint. You will have to include this image in the PM. Next you will need to create a short (few sentences to a paragraph) story of what the background of the figure in the card represents and then a list of what the card means if it is drawn. You can use this website as a template if you wish.

2.) In order to spend time with your cards I would like you to post ANYWHERE in the Castle or Grounds doing just what I mentioned above. Have fun with this. I would like at least 4-5 lines in your post, no one-liners if you want full credit!

Extra Credit will be given for outstanding work!!
