After watching and copying West's little demonstration, Theo held back his WOAHH reaction and just continued to gaze at Professor Bellaire. Should he even bother with trying to explain this? It was kinda obvious and everyone else had pretty much covered everything. Oh well.

The boy raised his hand and gave it a go, for house points sake. "Expanding stuff, undetectable-y."

Nailed it.

Jory raised his hand. "The charm is one that expands the interior of an object. But this expansion will go unnoticed on the outside. Meaning, the object will look regular sized when looked at from outside.'' That was all there was to it. He had read about it but never actually saw it being used.

Everyone knew so what was the point of answering? Still, Blue raised her hand anyway. "The undetectable expansion charm has two effects. The first, like many of my other classmates have so kindly pointed out," she nodded at a few, trying to be polite and formal because that made class a lot more interesting just cause it did. "is to make the object's internal space bigger than the object itself. The second is that the charm disguises the object so only the witch or wizard who cast the spell and anyone who the spell-errr or castor tells can see the inside."

Yeah. Something like that.

Belle heard the professor's first question. She asked what is the undetectable expansion charm. Belle remembered her camping trip and her mother made the tent bigger than it was. Her father did not approve but hey that is why they used magic!

Belle raised her hand, "Professor, i know the charm makes objects such as tents bigger than they seem and not even muggles notice. Only the caster has the power to let certain people see how they changed the inside."

Belle remembered when she first experienced it and she gobsmacked. She couldn't believe her mother did it. She really wanted to learn this charm.

Minerva listened as class began, then she had asked about a charm. Oh.. she had heard about this one. Looking at the tent she smiled, this was going to be fun. "Professor, the charm will expand an object to make it bigger or for a tent, have more room, but still leaving the outside look the same so know one looking at it will know that it has been expanded."

She couldn't wait to try this charm, giving a small smile she listened to everyone else answer.

Even though Daichi had seen the smiles and waves from his fellow students, he didn't react. He wanted to but only a deep sigh came out. He wrapped his duck printed sky blue blanket closer around himself as he shivered and while still not looking at the fire he turned his attention to the professor when she was done talking with Milton.

"it...ma-makes things bigger..." he answered. Totally forgetting to put his hand in the air or say Professor. He didn't even look at the woman because he was scared he would have to look at the fire as well.

If she was going to demonstrate that spell on the fire he was so out of here!

Did professor strict charm lady just say undetectable expansion charm? Lily sat with a huge grin, listening to the professor and then classmates. A bigger inside without a bigger outside was always a concept that Lily never fully understood, probably because she had never seen it at work.

While listening to her classmates, the fourth year jotted down a couple notes before turning her attention back to the professor and Captain Milton. Now why did he have to go and get himself a detention right before one of the biggest matches of the season, even if it meant Lily would have a better chance of playing chaser?

Mika thought it was about time to pipe up. After all this was a class and her opinion mattered. Since it was a good one.

"An undetectable extension charm as Blue said makes things have more room in them...which would be great for my current rucksack because it'd have more room for candy." She smiled brightly and pulled her hoodie a little bit closer against her. It was spring after all and she was wearing shorts.

HAHA! Milton's such an idiot.

Anyway, Lottie was about to raise her hand when...she actually staaaaared at West's explanation, and sort of kept on looking his way once he was done. Blink. She was brought to present time soon enough and her eyes shifted to the Professor next.

Okay, er, what was she going to say? It was difficult to come up with something after such Slytherin awesomeness. So she went ahead with definitions, "Clearly, the charm does what its name states. It enlarges the inner space of any object, while disguising it from everyone's sight." CLEARLY, hand raised.

Her eyes went to Dustbin and she wondered whether this would work for water too. You know, adding infinite amounts of water into a very small water-balloon and then being entirely soaked after it hits you.

It's worth the shot.

All Beezus could do was rest her chin on her hand with her elbow to her knees and squint at the Seventh Year, sighing every now and then. He always tried to be charming with lady Professors and dutifully fails seven times out of five tries. When would he learn?

Speaking of learning, it looks as though West Odessa had been Slytherin enough to share his awesomeness with them tonight. And as he talked and demonstrated this and that, Beezus did exactly what it was that he had offered the class. ......Oh. Well, that was cool indeed.

For the question, Beezus chose not to raise her hand and just listen, moving her arms to hug herself as the fire in the center crackled merrily. It wasn't that she did not know anything about the topic. It was just because she didn't want to said the same things her classmates had already presented. Plus, she knew for herself that she was theoretically and practically armed with knowledge about this charm. Why not? She had been using this exact charm on the Broom Cupboard at the Great Hall for a many times than few after all. Of course, with permission from the Headmistress that is.

Oh wow, was it because they were outdoors? A lot of oxygen must have been going to their heads tonight because her class seemed to be on point..even numb nut Shacklebolt who had almost managed to spoil the evening gave a good answer.

"Very good class, take three points each and umm..Mr.Odessa can take five for the insightful demonstration. Moving on.." She reach down for a small cup and tapped it, performing the charm non verbally. She then placed the cup down in front of them and started pulling cushions and chairs and all kind of assorted objects from her tent, which she then dropped into the cup.

"So like Mr.Odessa and the rest of you pointed out. It changes the internal dimension of the object while the outward appearance remains the same." The cup wasn't looking any different even with everything stuffed into it.

"We'll be attempting this charm on the tents you are sitting in front of." She flicked her wand at the fire and then in mid air she wrote out Magnus Centrum in flaming letters. "This is the incantation...and the wand movement is a light tap on the object you are placing the charm on." She stepped out of the way of her tent."Everyone come forward and get a cup and a cushion..if you successfully perform the charm on the cup and you're able to fit a cushion in we'll move on to the tents. If you have any questions relating to the charm, please do not hesitate to ask me."

"Oh and Mr.Shacklebolt..you may come and collect a cup as well and cushion as well."

Magnus Centrum....

Easy. I hope. Zeke began to wonder what would happen if he tapped the object with all his might...but enough of that. He wouldn't want to be causing trouble. Not right now. 'Cause this was an OUTDOOR kind of stuff. And he didn't want to be sent inside.

He went on and got a cup and a cushion first, seeing no one else had gone up yet. Err, was he supposed to do the charm stuff yet?

Ohwell. He lightly tapped the cup and softly said, "Magnus Centrum."

Blink.

So, did something happen yet? "Erm, professor? Is this okay?" What to do with that cushion? Hmm.

West had his attention with his little demonstration. Which Aidan spent the next few minutes copying. Over and over and over again. It was COOL, okay?

He kept it up idly to himself until Bellaire started speaking again. And only then. The other students weren't as interesting, see?

His eyes grew wide in amazement at how much Bellaire could stuff into that tiny cup. Sure, he knew of the charm and what it did, but he never saw it IN USE. ...Could he fit inside that cup, too? He wasn't much bigger than a few cushions. Probably.

Magnus Centrum, Magnus Centrum, Magnus Centrum, he repeated over and over in his head. THIS would be one WICKED spell to actually manage to execute. He bounced onto his feet to retrieve a cup and cushion, still repeating the incantation.

When he got back to his tent, he pulled out his wand and finally said the spell out loud, "Magnus Centrum," TAP. Then he attempted to stuff the cushion inside. Quite forcefully, too.

It didn't work.

Jory eagerly went to collect a cup and a cushion. He brought it back to where he was sitting and set to work. "Magnus Centrum...Magnus Centrum...Magnus Centrum...Magnus Centrum...'' he repeated the incantation.

Now to try it on the cup. "Magnus Centrum!'' Followed by a light tap. Obviously, Jory could not see any size change for the cup. He took the cushion and tried to stuff in into it. No luck. "Another try, then.''

"Magnus Centrum!'' A light tap. Once again, the Puffer made an attempt with the cushion. It fit! The entire cushion fit comfortably into the cup.

Cushions and cups. Interesting. She looked over at both while everyone else went to get theirs. This would have been a neat charm once she learned it. After the rush for cushions and cups had died she got up to grab her own.

Let's see...

Magnus Centrum.

Simple enough. The incantation pronunciation and the wand movement were never her problem, it was usually getting her wand to cooperate afterwards. She repeated the incantation a few times anyway. Once that was covered she got to tapping the cup, you know, just in case her wand needed to be properly introduced before any magic could happen.

"Magnus Centrum!"

Tap.

Ahem. Tap. Tap. No really, tapping meant it was supposed to work. Then again...she hadn't tried stuffing the cushion. How would she know it worked. Duh Lex.

Sticking her wand back in it's holster she tried stuffing the cushion in. Her eyes widened and she gave a little gasp when it slipped right in. Holy kneazle.

Ooh, pretty flaming letters. Kinda harsh on the eye, though. Theo looked away and blinked a few times.

A light tap?! This was easy! The third year let out a sigh of relief, because the wand movements were something that he always messed up. Theo got up and retrieved his cup and cushion. Seemed easy enough, he wasn't worried. He laid the cup on the floor, and then sat crossed legged in front of it.

Just a tap.

Just a tap. Easy!

"Magnus Centrumk!" Tap. Theo did a little bounce of excitement and picked his cushion up to shove inside. It felt kinda weird at first, as it didn't appear to go in.... PUSH DAT CUSHION, KINSLEY.

Guessing that he'd gotten it wrong, Theo looked up at the flaming words again and realized that he had said it wrong. No big deal, that happened a lot, too. After clearing his throat, he proceeded to tap the cup again and said, "Magnus Centrum!" Nothing appeared to have happened, but he tried nonetheless.

PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSH, SQUEEEEEZE IT IN THERE.

And pop, there it went.
......... Amazing.

Theo was literally flabbergasted.

Alyssa got up from her cushion and walked up to where Professor Bellaire was standing. She waited in line and when it was her turn, she picked up a cup and returned to her cushion. Sitting down, she looked at the cup.

First she tried prounouncing the incantion. "Magnus Centrum...Magnus Centrum...Magnus Centrum."

Now to try it out for real. Concentrating hard as she looked at the cup that she had placed on the ground in front of her, Alyssa took out her hand and lightly tapped it while saying the incantation.

"Magnus Centrum"...she didn't see any change in the cup. But then she realized of course she wouldn't see any change in the cup. She wasn't supposed to. The change was supposed to be not visible from the outside.

"Well I guess I'll just have to find out whether my cushion fits this cup." Scooting off the cushion, Alyssa picked up the cushion and tried stuffing it into the cup, but only the tip of it entered the cup with the whole other part still hanging out.

"Okay let's try this again." Alyssa whispered to herself.

This time she closed her eyes and cleared her mind of all thought except the image of the cup looking really big on the inside. Big enough to fit the entire cushion inside. Concentrating really hard on keeping the image in her head, Alyssa opened her eyes and looked down at the cup.

Keeping that image in her mind, Alyssa lightly tapped the cup with her wand and said, "Magnus Centrum". Then she picked up the cup and began pushing the cushion into it. Like before the corner tip of the cushion entered the cup....and then it kept on going in. The middle was now finally in, and there seemed to be no end to the cup. Alyssa continued to push the cup in and finally she had the entire cushion inside the cup.

'Wow! this spell really works. I wonder whether I can put my shoes in as well.' Alyssa thought to herself laughing inwardly at the thought of her doing that.

Minerva listened as the professor discussed what the charm was they were doing and how to do the wand movements. She really had to take a moment and enjoy the setting. This was a fun way to learn. The fire was a great added prop as well.

Belle was happy she got the answer right. She was beaming! Belle saw Magnus Centrum in flaming letters. Her eyes were widened and thought that was really cool!

Belle stepped forward to go get a cup and cushion. Once she collected hers and went back to her space, she practiced the wand movement. It was only a little tap. That seemed easy enough.

Belle was concentrating and cleared her mind. She took a deep breath and said "Magnus Centrum...Magnus Centrum....Magnus Centrium....noo...Magnus Centrum!" Belle muttered to herself.

Belle said..."Magnus Centrum!" and tapped the cup. Hmm..Nothing happened. That was to be expected. She was not concentrating because she heard the wild sounds like the animals chirping and her classmates. She did feel calm though.

Belle tried it again. "Magnus Centrum!" and then the cup expanded. Belle's eyes widened! She did it! Then she got her cushion and it fit like a glove! Belle was happy.

They got to try the charm now! Awesome! Ariana followed the class and grabbed a cup and a cushion more cushionss! could she keep this one?... Ariana took her cup and cushion back to her spot next to HER tent and sat down.. looking up at what the spell was once more she tried to remember how to say it, was it Magnis Centrum? yeah she was almost sure of it. and with a hard tap! she so had this..

"Magnis Centrum!" she said putting a hard tap on her cup and she blinked.. what was that? the inside of her cup was.. black.. and not just because of the light.... she was confused but thought hey maybe this is what's suppose to happen.. so she tried to put her cushion inside and..

it wouldn't fit.. she had NO idea what the heck she did wrong... she put her hand up "professor," she said oh so politely "i'm not sure i did it right." "how did you say the spell again?" and she Listened very very closely cause Ariana was WAY too excited about this spell and she did not want to mess it up... again..

"Magnis Centr-CHOOOO-m" yep that wasn't the spell at all. There was nothing in the description that said sneeze mid-spell. Nope. Nothing that she remembered hearing.

So what she did was try again. "Magnis Centrum!" she tapped her cup this time. And picking up the cushion she tried to place it inside. She tried and tried but nothing. It hadn't worked and no matter how hard or loud she groaned at the cup it didn't work.

Taking her wand she tried again. "Magnis Centrum!" this time she concentrated more on the idea of a cushion fitting inside of a cup and it worked! "OH LOOK!" She chirped excitedly.

Raising her hand looked to Professor Belaire and rather oddly asked, "So could you in a sense fit a human in the cup and use it was a swimming pool?" What it had to be asked.

Spell practice time. Penelope never really looked forward to this part of lessons, but this charm didn't seem too bad. The wand movement was really simple at least, and the incantation didn't seem too hard or complicated to pronounce.

She would still try to practice just that a few times, though. "Mag-nus Cen-trum. Maaag-nus ceeentruuuum. Magnus Centrum..... Magnus Centrum." There. She was pretty sure she had it.

So now to try it out and concentrate. Penelope eyed the cup for a couple seconds. Then she tapped it with her wand as she said, "Magnus Centrum."

It didn't really look like anything happened, but there was one way to find out. She picked up the cushion and proceeded to attempt to stuff it into the cup...

...but it definitely did not fit. Hmm.

"Magnus Centrum," Sierra thought to herself. "Magnus Centrum." For a charm, it had a pretty simple incantation. The wand movement was even simpler. A simple tap on the object? Nothing to it. Now all she had to do was mix in a little concentration and intent, and she should be good to go.

Sierra went forward and claimed a cup and a cushion. So all she had to do was get this pillow into that cup? Ehh, shouldn't be hard. She moved out of the way and toward an area she could easily do her spellwork.

Milton was trying his best to pay attention to Bellaire AND balance on one foot while holding it AND his ear, but it was proving to be rather difficult. He was wobbling and hopping to stay balanced and at one point he almost fell over onto someone's tent. But he saved himself, don't worry.

Thankfully, he was able to catch the incantation for the spell. "Maaagnus Centruummmm," he mumbled lowly to himself. Sounded easy enough.

Oh, and he could move. Milton sighed LOUDLY and let his foot and ear go. "Thank you, Professor, that was really an enlightening experience. Really." No, not really.

Milton walked up and grabbed a cup and a cushion and.... "Wait, professor, do I have to stay in the corner?" Because that would suck. He wanted his own tent.
