That's right folks, come on in a Gobstones match between two of your favorite Hogwarts houses is taking place and you don't want to miss it or the prime seats up front! The room that plays host to the Gobstones matches has a few rows of raised seats along each of the long side walls, leaving plenty of room in the middle for the players to shoot for the Jack Stone.
Find a place to cheer on your house or whichever house you want to win because these players may not be brawny Quidditch jocks (or they might just be) but they still deserve the support!

OCC Note: This thread is located outside of the Gobstones Club sub-forum because of the new unfortunately moderated set-up currently in place there. DanialRadFAN01, hpluvr037, the rest of staff and I (Nordic Witch) are going to do our best to keep an eye in this thread as Matches progress, although it is no longer a moderated thread. Remember all SS School RPG and site rules apply here. Thank you very much for watching!

There were two things Medea remembered to bring to this match to be a little more spirited and support the houses that were playing. Two hand sized flags of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff colors she could wave around! From what she could see, not many showed up to these matches, so the more spirited she could be, the better. Next time, face paint might just happen.
Finding a seat quickly at the front, Medea leaned forward a little, waving the flags around and already focused on the game. Just started from the looks of it. Exciting! She waved her flags towards Leo and Callie as well. Good luck players! Good luck referees!

Hopefully he wasn't that late. Botros was trying to memorize how much time it took him to come down all the way from his office out to the grounds with his cane, and the moving staircases changing positions before he got a chance to get off them. By the time he entered the room, he was slightly out of breath and his cane was a few steps ahead of him, just something he used to do when he was on a hurry - extend his cane forward as a third leg.
The match was just starting though. He smiled widely at the players, and his colleagues standing referees. One was the young Divination lady and the quiet librarian. He headed for the seats to the side and only then did he see yet another co-professor there... with flags. That was pretty spirited. He forgot the cheering part in the hassle of getting to the match on time. Anyways, the old man took a seat next to the young woman, his smile never fading. "Good afternoon, professor." The cane stayed up by his other side. "Did I miss any hits?"

Since she missed the first roll by a split second, Medea waved both of the flags when the second came around, putting Gryffindor on the board alongside the Hufflepuffs. Very shortly into the game though, and with lack of notice until he spoke up, did Botros sit next to her. Oh! Only too often would she be startled during a game. "Oh, please, call me Medea." she smiled, too caught up from the match to even lessen her accent.
As far as the game went... "No, I think you made it just in ti-" Speaking of hits, it looks like the Gryffindors got a good shot in. Seemed to be on top of their game early on, those lions. "Vell done, Sarah!" Medea waved around the Gryffindor flag over her head.

On her way out to the greenhouses, Anastasia heard a little hullabaloo coming from the Gobstones match area. She paused and decided oh why not, why no go cheer on her the Hufflepuffs students.
The redhead made her way over to the viewing area and sat down behind Botros and Romanos. "Good day," she greeted them both, leaning forward just a bit to squint at the game. "Who's winning?" Merlin, it had been decades since she'd been to one of these...!

Come on, Badgers was mostly what was going on through the defense Professor's mind as she lowered the Gryffindor flag. Oh! OH! They got one! "Vell done! Keep it up!" she beamed, yellow and black flag automatically taking the red and gold flag's place in the air, waving around. Up until she noticed the Headmistress. Ahem, one should not wave a flag in their boss's face.
"The Gryffindors seem to be on top of their game today." she commented, glancing behind to their Headmistress before scooting over a little, just so the woman had a little better view of the match going on and not the back of their heads.

Seren had been in her own little world, standing off to the side in the front... as close as she could get to her Lions. She'd been sitting with her hands folded in her lap, anxious for the final results... but it wasn't long into the game that she managed to relax. Her Lions had this one in the bag. "Keep it up Lions, good work Sarah, Ira..."
She was aware there were other people viewing the match, and the voices sounded familiar. But she was too zoned in to care who it was. Instead, Seren played with a loose thread on the sleeve of her burgundy robes. She had dressed for the occasion.

Jory wasn't really supporting any House but he was looking forward to a good match from Slytherin and Ravenclaw. He was still disappointed that Hufflepuff had lost to Gryffindor.
When he got to the Viewing Area, there was only one other student there. "Hi,'' the badger said with a smile before taking a seat. Slytherin had took an early lead.

Jen walked in and saw the match hadn't started yet. Good she was early. She sat down by a hufflepuff boy.
"So what's up?" She asked him "I mean, besides the match"

Slytherin versus Ravenclaw match...WOOHOO!
She was late.
Nevertheless, Medea did show up, two little Ravenclaw and Slytherin flags in hand AND...two smudges of green and blue paint on her cheeks. Came a little more spirited to this game. Who knew it could be so fun!? Oh, hellooooooo students! Medea waved her flags at those who attended, as well as the referees and those who were actually playing the game.

Jory turned as someone sat down ext to him. "Hi, there,'' he responded. He didn't think he saw her before or if he did, he didn't remember. "How are ya?'' Grin. "Not much. Just here for a good game. You?''

The professor took a seat in the back this time.
Jory wasn't surprised o see Professor Romanos there. He remembered her being there the last time with her Gryffindor and Hufflepuff flags. He waved back at her. "Hi, Professor!'' he called.

If this was a Quidditch match she would have brought a horn as well. But Gobstones didn't really call for that.
"Anything new going on with you two?" She asked some students that sat down near her. (Jen and Jory)
She could make some small talk and enjoy the game. ::
Jory grinned at the Slytherin's enthusiasm. He remembered being like that the first time he attenuated a Gobstones match. "Nope, just the same old stuff,'' he replied still grinning. "Great snake,'' the Puff said, indicating to the snake she had made of ribbons.

Ganymede shrugged at Jens shrug. "Yeah, not much else you can do. 'Spose it keeps up out of mischief." Ganymede winked.
"Same old same old here as well." She replied to Jory and she gave him a wide grin.
"Seems like our lives are a bit boring. Would you two be up to something more... adventurous?" She asked them. ::

Finding a seat in the viewing area near the front, Airey tugged on the sleeves of his signature red suit that SOMEONE had nearly ruined during the Quidditch match with, ironically, the same two houses that were playing in Gobstones now. Heh.
Waving his little red Gryffindor flag around a bit, he watched as the match began and stones were thrown. He hadn't ever really followed this, erm, sport while he was a student - all of his attention being on Quidditch, but it was rather interesting. Who didn't like throwing stones, right?
"Well done Miss Wilson!" Airey called out from the stands while giving several loud claps to the Gryffindor prefect. "Fantastic shot Miss Fischer!" Looked like she wasn't just good with a bat but also knew how to throw.
Which gave Airey ideas...Maybe he should talk to Miss James about having a friendly baseball match on the Quidditch pitch. If she would allow such a thing. "Keep up the pace lions!"
So far it was looking like a complete reversal of how Quidditch had happened and Airey liked this VERY much.

Eliza had bundled up all in navy and bronze for the Gobstones match against Gryffindor. She was really terrible at making it to events like this on time, so she hoped she was in the right place now. At least I can catch the end of it, hopefully, she thought. Besides, isn't the end the best part? Seeing the final rush for points? She thought so anyway. At least, when a game was close, which sadly this one did not seem to be at the moment. Gryffindor was up with a pretty good lead, but she still had faith in her fellow Claws. C'monnnn! she encouraged internally from the viewing area. I wonder if I know anyone on the team. She knew Ethan played Quidditch, but she wasn't really sure about Gobstones. Gosh, I must not be a very good friend if I don't even know these things. I'll have to work on that.
She pulled out her sketchpad while she watched and doodled little pictures of ravens and lions. Oh look! Sarah and Alexa are playing! Oh but wait, they're not in Ravenclaw. Well...hmph. She watched as other players took their turns with the stones. Oh, oh! There's Ethan! So he DOES play. Good, now I know, she thought with a smile. And Beezus too, cool. She'd only talked to Beezus a few times, but she liked her. She seemed pretty all around nice in fact. Is it okay to cheer? she wondered. She'd never made it to a match before and wasn't sure if cheering would throw off their concentration or not. Oh, what the heck, she decided before yelling out.
