With the arrival of fall comes cooler weather, brightly colored leaves, and now an exciting temporary addition to the Hogwarts grounds! Seemingly overnight, a large field of corn has sprung into being thanks to the skilled wandwork of Mr. Firth. But this corn isn't just for eating at the Halloween Feast: if you look closely, you'll notice small walkways twist and turn through the field. That's right, it's a maze! Grab a friend and try to find your way through. If you succeed, you'll notice a table at the exit with warm apple cider, apple slices with caramel dip, and assorted donut holes. Don't spoil your dinner!
OOC: This thread will be open January 10-15. A map of the maze is provided below if you wish to RP your character all the way through the maze.
Laura suddenly saw Belle, as she was walking along in the maze "BELLE!!!!!!!" Laura shouted towards her friend. "I'm really scared." Laura really shouldn't have come into the maze, she didn't like them, they were scary places and she really didn't know what she was doing in the maze. "I'm really scared." Laura hugged her friend. "I don't know which way is which anymore, I feel like I'm going in a circle."
Belle heard a familiar voice. She looked around and then saw Laura coming toward her. "Hey Laura!" Belle smiled at her. She did not look so good. "Awww it is normal Laura! Everyone gets lost in a corn maize. I have gotten lost many times before." Belle chuckled to herself remembering the times she did it with her family. "Alright let's help you get on your way...well i mean our way. Did the grounds keeper give us a map of some sort?"

Laura looked at Belle and smiled. "How are you Belle?" Laura hugged her friend again. "I know it's normal but I get scared sometimes." Laura really did feel scared now, she looked at the map she had been given but she was reading it upside down and not realizing that it was upside down, "See this is supposed to be there and that there and well I'm confused and my head hurts." Laura sighed, it was so not fair.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

"This is ridiculous." the Slytherin smoothed the back of his head and searched his immediate area for a clue on how to get out. Seeing small rocks, he started to collect them one by one and as soon as he got a handful, he proceeded to mark all the paths that he already covered. Totally missing the entrance again which was now on his right, he took a left and followed the path. As soon as he took a right, he found a bunch of cornstalks blocking the way.
He turned around and immediately did a double take. Was that Oakey on the ground? Where'd his friend go? Mordred hid himself on the corner and contemplated his next move. Should he ask Oakey if he needed help? "What if he says no?" Wincing at the thought, he took a step away from his position to get another path. "Okay. THIS is ridiculous. All of this is pointless." Turning around, he went back to where Oakey was sat, and watched him do the Point-Me thing.
"That thing's not going to help you." he said as he eyed the wand on Oakey's hand. Mordred then looked at the ground and turned around clearly chickening out because of the awkwardness. He'd love to not care about Oakey not finding his way out, but it's not in his nature to leave his friends behind. He purposefully walked slowly to let Oakey catch up with him...that is...if he wanted to.
Oakey looked up when he thought someone called his name out. "Who said that!" He said as he stood up and tried to look through the Corn Stalks to spot who it was who said his name.
Then from the corner of his eye he saw Mordred again! Maybe I should follow him now. Oakey thought to himself. He was about to peek around the corner to see if he hadn't lost the Slytherin when Mordred popped around the corner again and berated his Four Point Spell."It's better than nothing." He scoffed to Mordred who he was sure still hated him. "I'm sure you couldn't think of anything yourself."
But the snake had ignored him and continued on, how rude! Oakey hurried behind him kicking a rock out of his way accidentally. Why did he come back? Oakey thought as he caught up to Mordred.

He shook his head. "I'm not lost. I was with Oakey but suggested I go on my own because he kept leading us to dead ends.'' Like Jory minded. Alyssa looked at her wand that she was still holding in her hand. She quickly holstered it while apologizing at the same time. "Sorry about the wand. The last time I was in a maze, I encountered Red Caps, Peeves and a Boggart." Alyssa recalled.
Then she listened as he told her that he had decided to separate from exploring the maze with Oakey. Alyssa laughed. "I would be more surprised if Oakey hadn't gotten you both lost." Alyssa told Jory.
"Me? I've had my fair share of dead ends, but so far I've been following this theory that if I keep my end on the same side of the wall, that I will eventually find my way out of the entrance. Whether that's true or not, I'll find out sooner or later." Alyssa grinned at him. "Definitely hopefully sooner, since I am getting hungry myself too."
"Would you like to walk with me, or do you want to go on alone?" Alyssa asked Jory.
With the nice warmth of the fall day, Ellura had ventured out onto the grounds to continue exploring. she had simply been wandering around when she had spotted the high stalks of corn from a distance. Curious, the third year moved closer to investigate just what it was, realizing as she was almost upon it that this must be the maze she had heard others talking about around the castle.
A maze of corn...how curious.
"Might as well check it out," she mused with an innocent smirk. The Gryffindor walked around in search of an entrance, eventually finding it on her first turn to the next side. Stepping into the gap created it was then she spotted an other girl, her redhair and familiar appearance identifying her as the head girl she had met at the opening feast and seen around both in class and the lion tower.
"Hello..." Ellura greeted making her presence known as she neared her fellow Gryffindor.
Okay, Selina was SO ready. It was time to get ready to prep for James Bond training. Being a Bond Girl, not many people knew this, but ACTUALLY being a Bond Girl was a lot of work. She had to do a lot of training to be the most efficient and compelling Bond Girl when she eventually was done and retired with Quidditch and moved on to work for James Bond. Besides, she did not want to be one of those common Bond Girls who did not stick around too long. No way, she wanted to be the Moneypenny of them all. The girl who kicked butt and took names and was helpful with the whole saving the world nonsense. Yeah, that one.
But just as she was about to test her puzzle solving skills- because evil masterminds could throw her and Bond into a maze- she was suddenly met with a young sounding voice. It had to be one of her ickle. BUT as much as she loved her ickles, this was a task she had to go at alone. Bond would have waned that for- OH look, it was that Ellura ickle. Oh well, she was a sweetheart, wasn't she? They had only met briefly at the opening feast, but she had been very lovely.
Grinning at the girl, she said, "Hello there, Ellura right?" She really hoped that Ellura was the girl's name. It was always awkward when people knew Selina's name and she did not know theirs. It was just that Hogwarts had a lot of students.

So why not risk getting lost to explore a maze that didn't happen everyday at Hogwarts? It would be fun, Kat thought. She liked to take chances, yes.
Good, Kendall was fine with it. And uhm... following her cat? The blonde wasn't sure if her cat would lead them to the end of the maze with food and all. Omnomnom. But Kat was really fine, following Kendall's cat. If they get lost... well, she won't blame the cat for not knowing. Getting lost was part of the fun anyway, which would be a cool new addition to her 'book of experiences'. Like she had one, anyway. Chocolate, however, Kat could not reject. "Sure," Kat said and waited for Kendall to get a bar or something. Or cut a part from hers, but she liked a whole one better. Duh. "So, do you think the Point Me spell could lead us to the end?" she asked, wanting to know what the Ravenclaw thought. She was a Ravenclaw for a reason, anyway.
The longer she stayed in one spot, the more Kendall started feeling the memories from the Arithmancy maze. She wasn’t about to let Katrina know she was nervous, though. She wasn’t even sure if she would let Patrick know she was nervous, if he’d been around, but then, he knew the story about the acromantula and everything else. Maybe he would have known even if she hadn’t let it be visible. The chocolate she had was definitely helping, however, as well as continuing to talk. That and knowing that Accio was still in the maze with her too, along with the fact it was still basically light out. Therefore she could see anything that came at them, and she still doubted that there were any surprises in this maze. It seemed like it was just for fun, especially knowing there was supposed to be food at the end. Odds were it wasn’t more chocolate, since even she knew that most people didn’t necessarily think chocolate when they thought of fall and corn mazes and whatever, but she figured it would still be good. Plus, she had enough chocolate in her bag to last for a while.
Something told her the Slytherin was a little confused by the idea of following Accio through the maze, but that didn’t bother her either. She trusted her cat, therefore there wasn’t going to be any problems as long as there weren’t any small animals around to distract him. So far it seemed like the feline was only focused on her, so she turned her attention back to her new companion as she had at least responded to the offer. “Okay,” she replied, opening her bag again and pulling a wrapped bar out before handing it over. “I’m not really sure what kind that one is, but I know it’s good.” She hadn’t exactly asked Patrick what everything was when he’d given her the last batch and she hadn’t had the chance to go to Hogsmeade to stock up on other chocolate yet. She went back to her own chocolate bar as another question had been asked, as well, back to walking along the pathway. “It might,” she responded, eyes watching the orange tabby walking ahead of them to keep aware of corners and stuff like that. “So far we haven’t gotten lost, though,” she added with a grin, glancing over at Katrina again. The spell was more useful if they got lost, she thought. Right now things seemed fine.

Belle was going down to the Maize. She was excited at the idea of going into a Maize and exploring what was in there. She always loved Maizes because they remind her of fall. She heard people screaming and yelling and saying the were lost. Belle giggled and decided to start and go in.
As Belle went in she noticed she was walking straight and then had to turn right. She knew that. Belle hoped nothing would pop out at her. She did not need to have a heart attack that is for sure. She had on her trusty sneakers to help guide the way. Belle knew she was going to right way. She wished she had a map though but she did not think to get one. Ah well....Belle used her instincts to guide her through. She hoped to see some friends in the maze.

Sarah had heard that there was a maize maze and she was eager to try it out. You see, Sarah had an amazing sense of direcction, it was like she had an inborn compass. Also, she was eager to get lost once, as after she got lost once she knew her way around perfectly. She had just entered the maze when she spotted the Hufflepuff prefect, who although Sarah had not officially met her, Sarah had picked up that her name was Belle from around. "Hi, Belle, my name is Sarah, do you want to do the maze together?" she said, being as blunt as she liked to be. Then Laura, terrible Laura showed up. Laura the one who tried to frame Sarah and who did not like Alexa."Um, Hi Laura" Sarah began. Then Belle and Laura began speaking. They were scared for goodness sakes. When one had a wand on them, how could they be scared, or at least that was the lioness Sarah thought. Then Belle asked for a map, which Laura had it was then that Sarah put her foot down. "Oh come on guys... don't take the lazy way out. I think I have an idea of the way out. Lets go back to the begginning take the first right, I have a feeling that path leads us along the perimeter of the maze. I am teling you and if anything goes wrong it will be my fault, yet I doubt there are bad things lurking, I mean this is a normal Hogwarts activity, not the 1994 Tri-wizards cup. I know you may think that as girls our skills in the defense against the dark arts may not be good (actually Sarah did not do that badly), we have a wand on us anyway and besides we can always utilise the same trick that the muggle girls can use - our voices! When things go wrong we can just scream!" Sarah said, then regretting telling them that if anything went wrong it would be her fault, as knowing Laura she would make up something to shift the blame on Sarah.
I'll probably be slower here since my focus is on the auction right now *snugs you 2*

Deciding not to push it any more she pulled Felix into a hug and kept her arms wrapped around him. "Don't worry Felix, I still love you and the Professor loves you too...he just doesn't know how to show it." She put her face close to the creatures ear and continued speaking in a muffled tone against his fur, "He was probably never hugged by a kneazle as a child." Poor Professor. It was just so tragic when she thought about it.
His next statement caused her to raise an eyebrow at him even as they kept walking. "Pebbles...you mean your rock?" Then people had the nerve to say that she was strange.
"I don't think it would mind honestly, rocks don't have noses, it would never know the difference and besides there's no scent a nice long shower can't get rid of!" BEAM. Was he convinced yet?
A bit further down she started to hear singing and before she knew it the Professor was singing too. "Huh? Me? Not really...what song is that?" He had to know because he was singing it.
Just then a girl appeared and started giving them instructions about dead ends and all that. Quite the rude one she was. Didn't she know that intros always came first. "Hello to you too!" BEAM. "I'm Alexa and you are???" NOW they could get on talking. See? Simple stuff.
Airey was just about to correct Alexa and tell her that making sweeping accusations about a person was not a nice thing to do and that everyone knows what happens when one assumes, but he really REALLY did not want to tell the Grffindor about the death trap she held in her arms so he instead sort of just nodded his head and kept his distance. Yes yes, he loved the kneazle, yes yes right right...loved it about as much as he loved stubbing his toe.
Well, she didn't need to say the word rock with such disdain. "Yes, that would be her," he grinned. No fur. No death trap. Just a sweet innocent rock that always stayed when commanded to. "Oh, she would know and it would be weighing on my conscious." Yep, so, sorry death-trap-Felix.
She didn't sing. That was too bad. "It's an old song, nearly a century old now actually," he explained as he hummed a bit more of the song.
SPOILER!!: Kanna <3

"I could ask you the same thing, Professor." OH! SCORE A COMPLIMENT! But seriously, most of the professors at Hogwarts were... pretty... aged. Of course, Kanna had no idea how old Professor Space was, but... he looked pretty young. "Well," she started, squinting her eyes in mock concentration. "If you replace the word 'young' with 'awesome', the question answers itself," the girl grinned. She could be clever when she wanted to be. SOME professors would label her as 'cocky'. Kanna Basthowe was many things, but never cocky. She was testing the waters of this new professor, and her outstanding mood today was only helping.
"My grandfather owned a huge collection of muggle music, and when he died, I rescued it," she answered, finally serious. "I love music, but the old stuff is the best, I think. A lot of people don't like muggle music, but..." she shrugged her shoulders, mentally finishing the sentence with 'not me'. Kannalynne adored music. Seriously. There was almost nothing better.
"Nice voice, by the way, sir," she praised. Her own voice was... Well, her opinion would be distorted. She was ALRIIIIIIIIGHT.
It was a good thing Kanna was already smiling. This young Gryffindor was talking about rocks not having noses. How would she know? Was she a rock? HMM? WAS SHE?
"Hi," the older Ravenclaw greeted as she closed the distance between them. A much more comfortable space for introductions. "Hi, Alexa. I'm Kannalynne Basthowe," she introduced herself to both of them, loving to unload her name on people for shock value. "But you can call me whatever you like-- I don't think I can run out of nicknames... Anna, Kay, Lynne, Annalynne... Most people stick with Kanna."
It was much easier on the palate to just say 'Kanna'. A real time-saver.
Chuckling at the Ravenclaw's initial reply, Airey sort of idly toyed with his tie for a few moments while he spoke. "Ah, of course," he laughed again, dropping his gently against his white dress shirt. Her grandfather...ouch. He wasn't sure if that was an insult in disguise considering that he was a fan of the music and certainly NOT old. No, that would be that Ancient Runes professor who almost looked as though he were going to keel over any day now. "Your grandfather had good tastes," he winked. "Must run in the family."
Puffing out his chest just a little at the voice compliment - he actually did take pride in his singing ability. Came second only to his fashion sense. "Well, Miss Basthowe, Miss Cambridge, left or right?"

Tiffany pouted as the snake addresses her by patting her shoulder. 'How can you not be scared, my frienddddd?' she complained. She had come from nowhere and made herself sound scary but they didn't work. How frustrated. But then Juliet's invitation brought back her smile, replacing that childish pout. 'You know I can never say "no" whenever you ask right?' she smirked as she raised her hand and longed for a high five from her. Tiffany could never reject the offer from her friends no matter what they asked her for, only if that thing was not illegal. 'You first,'she replied, leaving a path for her. Actually she was just afraid of being the first one getting in.
Seeing the frown on Tiffany's face, Juliet cocked an eyebrow and her lips curled into a smile "We should work on your manly voice" adding a giggle at the end. Tiffany was one of those girls, you know, that no matter how they deepen their voices it will never sound as manly as they think. Not that Juliet can do a manly voice in fact, she herself fails in that area. Yeah, they should definitely both work on their manly voice. Just in case it may come in handy in the future.
'You know I can never say "no" whenever you ask right?'
Juliet then nodded to her. That means it's a yes from Tiffany. Good, because Juliet was not intending to go inside without her. Just like that, she swung her hand over Tiffany's back and started walking inside, completely dragging her with her. And hey, with this they could definitely catch up.
On the first part of the trail there were two sides. One is to go straight while the other one goes to left. "Let's keep walking" walk straight. "I hear there's food on the finish line." she said while glancing over to Tiffany. That'd be nice. Food after this maze.

There were some things Kat was thankful about the maze. First, adventure which has always been the first reason. Second, Kat considering spending time with people she didn't know that well. Like Kendall. It was a surprise that Kat didn't know her even if they were in the same year. Had she been that oblivious for the terms that passed? She hoped not, cos she wanted to know a lot. Third, she needed a break from homework. Who wanted to be locked up in the common room doing nothing but writing essays all day? Not that there were that much homework to be done. She did like to save it during the last minute (bad habit, I know) but when she felt like being responsible, she'd turn her essays in before the deadliest deadline. And for this, and only this time, her fourth reason was because she got free chocolate. Well, at she was going to get chocolate. Hehe. You can't say no to chocolate because they calm you down but also are friendly to the taste buds.
"You have a pretty cat," she complimented. The fifth year Slytherin didn't find it weird that Kendall trusted her pet. It's the same way Kat trusted her toad, B.O.B., whom she bought during the summer. But she didn't trust the toad well enough for outdoor adventures since it loved to jump around. Her toad almost ran jumped away from her at the common room, but with her super mega awesome speed she was able to catch up with it. Hopefully B.O.B. learnt his lesson. Hmph. "Thanks," Kat said and she accepted the bar of chocolate Kendall offered her. Eh, not sure what kind? Well, any was okay with her cos she wasn't allergic to chocolate in general. To know though, she had to taste it herself. The blonde tore part of the chocolate's wrapper and tucked the cut part in her pocket. The groundskeeper Firth would take away house points if she was caught littering. Besides, Slytherin couldn't afford to lose points. She took a bite of the chocolate and ate it. Hmm. "It tastes alright," she assured Kendall. Of course, chocolate tasted great! Oh... it might? Something Kat had to prove too. "We could try it later if we do get caught in the maze," she said. Not that she was disrespecting her friend's cat. Heh.

Ellura nodded as Selina acknowledged her presence as they met just inside the entrance of the corn maze. "Uh huh, thats me," she answered in confirmation, somewhat glad that she had managed to get someone to remember her amongst her housemates and other students. But then she supposed as a student leader, especially head girl or boy, it was their job to try and remember people.
"Would you mind some company?" she asked, the question not needing clarification as to what activity she was asking about being a companion on. It seemed pretty clear that maze exploring was what was on the agenda. She couldn't help wondering though if she should perhaps wait behind if the older girl wanted to go at it alone. Selina hadn't looked upset by her appearance but that didn't necessarily mean she wasn't just being polite at first.
Best to question rather than just assume something...right?
Minerva laughed and rolled her eyes a bit at the knight comment. "I think I let that go to your head to much." She said jokingly, but he did always seem to be there when she needed someone a few terms ago. That had changed drastically last term though. She was glad they could at least be in the same area without fighting this term.
As she walked through the maze Minerva listened. It didn't seem like he was to thrilled about the new brother, but he wasn't about his little sister either, so Minerva knew he would come around. "Well I haven't seen her or talked to her since our fight last term. It's probably better that way I guess." She really wasn't sure how she felt about their friendship anymore. Stopping she looked at the new directions.. "Let's try this way.." Minerva turned to her right and began walking again. She laughed and rolled her eyes, "I know it was just corn." She walked until she had to stop and started laughing.. "Pretty sure I took us the wrong way." Turning she started back the other way.
Maxwell laughed a but. "When do i ever keep things from getting to my head?" Max could have a very high opinion of himself at times. But She had called him this for about a year..
Maxwell followed her down the path, he wasn't sure where they were headed but he didn't really care. It felt nice to get lost every once and a while. "She's been weird since this whole thing with her ex-boyfriend went down, she has it in her head i'll never approve of anyone she likes.." He rolled his eyes at the idea and his sister. "Okay, we have to find the right way eventually, right?" He asked, chuckling.

Oh? Was that Oakey's voice? "HAAAI, OAKEY!!" Sophie suddenly yelled as she stopped, flailing her arms in the air. She couldn't see him, but she could totally hear him! Wherever he was. The arm flailing was probably because of her Italian blood which she didn't have.
"Bumping into someone right now would be great, though!" Not that she didn't appreciate Ella's company. Of course she did! But the more brains thinking, the fastest they would be out, right?
Ella was spinning and pointing again. 'Let's go right!'"Let's!!" And saying that, Sophie grabbed Ella's hand again and jogged in that direction.
Ella was listening to all the voices around them when O__O Sophie yelled out, flailing and causing Ella to jump a bit. Merlin! The blonde raised her eyebrows at her friend for a second before giggling because really, Sophie and Oakey were quite cute! "OAKEY WORMMMMM!" She called out, trying to help her best friend locate her boyfriend. Besides, Oakey worm was just plain fun to say.
"Oh I...well I meant literally but..." And the fifteen year old smiled a little, shrugging her shoulders. "I suppose some company would be nice! Should we try and find Oakey, then?" Because surely Sophie wanted to find her almost-husband, yeah? GIGGLE! "He can't be too far if you heard him clearly." Just saying.
Oh! And then they were jogging again and Ella smiled, letting Sophie lead the way. Who knew she was going to get so much exercise today? ...If she did, she would have worn better sneakers!

He looked back at Alyssa. "If you don't mind, I'll walk with you.''
Alyssa blinked in surprise. It was rare that anyone would want to take a walk with her let alone partner her in class, so she was surprised when Jory agreed to accompany through the maze.
"Awesome. I can't guarantee you that we'll get to the end of the maze in time for dinner time, but I am very sure that we will get out of this maze, even if we have to plow through it." Alyssa grinned at Jory.
"Well I've been walking for over and hour and it looks like we may be at least past the half way point....or I've been walking in circles, then that will mean that we're still somewhere near the entrance." she jokingly told him.
"Let's just continue the way I was headed. I'm sure we'll eventually end up somewhere. Who knows maybe the next three turns will take us to the exit."
Alyssa then placed her hand back on the side of the wall of the maze. The same side that she had been following ever since she entered the maze and began walking. She turned around to make sure that Jory was following her.

His laugh was infectious, and she couldn't help but beam up at the new professor. It was a shame when people were in a bad mood. Could be one of the reasons Kanna didn't seem to be a social person. Too many people were down and sulky. She liked to be bright and happy and... It just made the word a brighter place. The world needed more laughter.
Curse her for being a girl; she giggled at his charming wink. "Thank you, sir." She wasn't sure what to say in response. AH. SO MUCH PRESSURE.
Kanna turned to the choices ahead. Well? Left or right? She glanced to the left, remembering that her dead-end had come up probably right across from where they were standing, so this pathway was probably not a dead-end.
She glanced to the right, trying to remember the angle of the sun when she had come in to figure out her point in the maze. To the right was probably the edge, but not the other side. Probably. Kanna wasn't an expert on mazes.
"I'm feelin' the left," she voiced after a few seconds of deep thought on the matter, placing her hands high on her hips and turning to her other two companions. "All in favor of the left?" She bent one arm at the elbow to raise her hand in vote.

She looked over at Alice when she spoke. Take turns? "Sure," the third year replied with a shrug. Seemed like a good plan to her. And apparently she got to choose first? She took another brief second to think and then decided, "Straight." Because...well, why not? One way was just as good as the other as far as she knew since she didn't know where either one would take them. So she started forward again, glancing back to make sure Alice was following.
Straight. Mmk. Alice followed her food sniffer into the maze tentatively, checking all around her before stepping inside. Straight. They were heading straight, apparently. Were there obstacles in here, too? She hoped not. It was hard enough without them. The fourth year blindly tagged along behind Penelope, eyeing the area. She wanted to get out of there. Fast.
Yes, Penelope DID get to choose first. Why did she look so surprised? "Okay, your call." Alice went after her, going deeper into the creepy labyrinth. This felt like a bad Muggle movie. When was something going to jump out of the corner and try to eat their faces off? She continued through the maze, turning left when they reached a dead end. She proceeded to go straight after that, when they hit another wall. And then she went left once more, until they finally came to a place where they could go one of two ways. "I say right. Does that sound good?"
C'mon, Penelope. Use that nose.

Myron Wagtail? Had she got that one. She couldn't remember and seen as West was offering, she may as well take up the offer. "Sure I would." That could wait though, there was food and that she more important. She took the chocolate and slugs that West offered to her and promptly stuffed them in her mouth.
They tasted...good. Really, really good.
"Wow."
Of course it was good. And wow. Candy goodness. West beamed at her and held the card out for her with a flourish. She could keep it and then remember more good things about mazes.
"We're passed half way through." West added, shooting a little look towards the gap which he suspected was the right one. He didn't mind staying lost for longer though.

"I am doing fine!" she said hugging her friend. "Oh it is fine to get scared sometimes. It is normal. Sometimes people have anxiety not knowing their surroundings." Belle shrugged. When Laura was trying to read the map, Belle did not mean to laugh but she would have done the same thing.

Sarah said, then regretting telling them that if anything went wrong it would be her fault, as knowing Laura she would make up something to shift the blame on Sarah.
When Belle was helping Laura figuring which way to go, she noticed a gryffindor coming towards her. "Oh hey Sarah! I am Annabelle but you can call me Belle for short." she said holding out her hand.
When Belle went back to talking to Laura, Belle gave Sarah a little smile overhearing her. "Alright i will not take the easy way out." she said motioning Laura to put the map away. "Besides we will need this skill eventually sooner or later." she shrugged.
Then when Sarah mentioned using their voices, Belle giggled. "Yeah we can make up a call to use or code word. But i like sarah's thinking and we can work together through the maze." she could sense the tension between them already. She hoped she could fix this.

Laura didn't like this at all, what was Sarah doing here, if she had known she was there, she would have left straight away, she would rather be lost in the Maze, than work with her, she had caused a right fuss last year when one wasn't needed. "I would rather trust the map that trust you." Yeah Laura wouldn't trust Sarah at all, the girl would send her the wrong way to get her own back and Laura didn't want to spend ages in the maze.

"Belle, so we are going to go together then?" Laura wanted Sarah where she could keep her eye on her.

Sophie cracked up when Oakey asked who had said that. That was expected, coming from him, wasn't it? So cute! Ella shouting for him in her own special way also made Sophie laugh out loud. Hadn't she the bestest friends ever??? She so had!
"We should try and find him!" And yep, she had heard him clearly! Only, her ears were TRAINED to hear his voice, so even if he were far away she would STILL hear him! Not."Yeah, let's go find him!" And the fourth year looked around.
Okay now... where to go??? They had so many options and Oakey's voice had come from behind them! She spun a few times, not like Ella, but she was actually pseudo analysing each of their options. Just HOW in Merlin's BEARD could they get to Oakey now?? Yards of corn were separating them now!
SO TRAGIC!!!
"OAKEY!" Sophie yelled dramatically again. The girl actually tried to walk through the plants around them but that was clearly impossible so she stepped back with her hair all messed up. No time to fix it now, though! They had to find her LONG LOST LOVE! Wat
Never letting go of her best friend's hand, Sophie dragged her around. She wasn't running this time, but she would walk fast for a while, the stop and walk back in the same speed. Some other times she would walk more slowly and some oother times, she'd stop completely, looking around and thinking again.

He grinned. "I wonder what the Groundskeeper would think of us plowing through,'' he said. The Puff looked around at the maze again. "I would think that we are somewhere in the middle.''
"Okay, lets go then.'' Jory followed Alyssa as she started walking, trailing his hand along the cornstalks.

"Now where do I go?" Mordred thought to himself as he looked at the cornstalks around him, then he'd briefly look behind him if Oakey did follow. The Slytherin smirked at Oakey's remark and shook his head. "I actually have." Was he trying to annoy him now? Well, tough luck because it wasn't working. Mordred shrugged and continued to walk not caring now if Oakey followed him.
While dropping the rocks on his side, he paused and looked up to hear familiar voices. Was that Sophie and Ella? The young man was about to take another step when the wall of cornstalk on his left moved. Someone was actually trying to get through the wall but was unsuccessful. He shook his head and continued to walk, but then he paused to look over his shoulder and see Oakey behind him. "Well, isn't this a bit awkward?" Mordred thought to himself and continued treading his chosen path. "We should hurry...I guess." Yeah, because bumping into Sophie and Ella wouldn't be nice, right now.
