Merlin's beard, some of the others really wanted these sculptures too, didn't they? It almost made Atticus wish they were being sold separately because he mainly only wanted the winged horse, but he would continue bidding on the whole set anyway.

Of course. Because he DID have money. "And no, I am not forgetting that you are a Slytherin. In fact, you're one of my favorite Slytherins." More cute smiles and such. Was it really not working on him? Whyyyyy?
Maybe it was time for a more direct approach.
As he turned to the parchment, her eyes followed. He had to place in a bid now! They had to win this one! They. Mhmm. Yes. She decided that they were going to bid on the item and split the bidding amount between the two of them. And yes, she didn't bother asking him if he'd agree. Getting rid of the cutesy act, Beezus turned to her pseudobrother with a much more serious face. "Let's have it this way, we both place our bids and if one of us wins these metal sculptures, we'll split the payment between us. I only want the winged horse and raven anyway. You can have the rest." Without letting him say anything, she walked up to the parchment.

It wasn't too long after he left the table again that more people had approached it. Atticus went back over and saw they had indeed bid on the sculptures too. Of course, he wasn't giving up, so he bid again.

In fact, you're one of my favorite Slytherins. Of course there is a list of them in the Slytherins area to her. She just said it... ONE of my. Jonathan smirked at Beezus after she said that but didn't want to give further comments to it, they'll just probably end up arguing, yet again.
Winged horse an raven. Hmmm, that seems to be a fair deal perhaps. And with their money combined they can definitely bid more. Seeing as more people once again bid for the 5 sculptures, Jonathan was getting more and more hyped to bid some more. Yes, he's not going home without the 5 sculptures. HE.MUST.HAVE.THEM.

Back to the table Atticus went once more and wasn't surprised to see the others had continued to bid. So here he was writing his down for these sculptures once more. They were all he was bidding on so he was still more than willing to keep going.

Ivy considered Scabior's offer for a moment. She really only wanted the raven. And maybe the nundu. And she would take the fwooper if no one wanted it. "Fine. We'll each bid until one of us gets it and split the cost at the end." That sounded fair. So she would stay there until one of them won.
