As is usually with charms class, desks and chairs are seemingly gleaming to the point of seeing your reflections in them and the room is immaculate. The room is bright, the air is crisp and generally conclusive to learning.
Professor Bellaire is standing in front of her desk waiting to welcome you to Charms Class.
The professor has outlined the lesson on the board, so while waiting to take your seats, get your minds working.

Sonea walked Secretly a little nervous into the classroom and stared at all the students who were already inside the room. She saw that every student was standing and wondered if it was against the rules to sit down. When she had found a empty seat she stood next to the table and looked around her. The whole room was clean, something she liked and saw that a teacher was standing before her desk and behind her she saw board with a few words on it.
Sonea stared at the teacher and wondered if she was strict or not and decided to check it. With a innocent smile on her face she walked over to the teacher. ”Hello professor, I’m Sonea.” She smiled again at the teacher and hoped that the women would be friendly.

She wasn't late. She knew she wasn't so Alexa took her own time in walking to the Charms classroom. Once there was no rush then there was no need to go rushing off to a class. When she got to the door she did a lazy kind of look over of herself to make sure she looked proper. Not that she wouldn't because this time she wasn't running so there would be no sweat and she had her shirt neatly tucked into her skirt. Just the way the Professor liked it, yes?
Entering the room she saw a messy Head Girl and an upset Professor. She sighed and tried to look beyond this. They were all beyond logic right now so she would leave them to themselves. That was a smart choice when one didn't want to have a wand pointed at them because wands were pieces of stick with magic in them that could break, as was proven when she broke Laura's.
"Hello Professor." She said before finding her seat and plopping down into it.

Daichi's smile faded slowly when the Professor narrowed her eyes. He wondered what on earth he had done wrong when she told him. With a slight blush on his cheeks, the Slytherin quickly bowed his head in apology. "Sorry Professor, i forgot..." He quickly stood up from the chair and stood beside the desk.
Oichi walked into charms class with an attitude that this class would be great. But charms usually always was so that was easy. The room was even normal this time. She walked further into the classroom and saw the professor, "Good morning professor", Oichi said and then took a seat and took out her supplies as she waited for class to start.

Sierra sort of eyed Selina out of the corner of her eye. Was it really necessary to stand at attention behind their desks like this? Sierra thought it was pretty dumb herself. Nobody else asked them to do this, not even her mother. What was the point anyway? Couldn't they just address the professor as..., well, Professor, and be respectful enough?
Either way, Sierra had taken her place behind her seat. Hearing the professor's morning message to the class, Sierra said, "Good morning, Professor."

Carter straightened his tie as he entered into the classroom. This Professor was notorious, he'd heard. And Carter wanted to be sure he made a good impression. He'd also made sure that this time he left practice with enough time to shower and get ready.
Sweet Merlin the classroom was... clean and bright.
"Hello Professor Bellaire." he greeted extending a hand. "Carter Phillips. Board Candidate. I'll be observing today. Feel free to ignore me." He'd just... stand somewhere.

Charms. Alright. Anya smiled brightly as she entered the classroom. "Hello Professor." she said looking around. Hmm... Selina looked... tired. Anya probably should be... but she'd actually been sleeping rather well.
She took a random seat before looking up at the board. Disillusionment. Sounded fun.

Professor Bellaire returned the greetings of the other students albeit a lot less enthusiastically as she originally started off. Her mood had gone south tremendously. Not even Theodore got the bright smile she usually reserved for just him. She notice his slacking appearance and eyed him a bit. He'd know that meant he needed to straighten up right?
She watched the head-girl as she left the class and returned looking decent enough and get her lips pursed. In all her days she had never seen such disregard for the rules.
And then a semi-man walked in. Hmph!
So this was the person who would be sitting in on her lesson? She eyed him up and down before deciding that he looked okay enough."Well Carter Phillips I will have no problem doing that, don't worry." And with that her attention was back on her class.
"A pleasant good-morning to you all once again." She cleared her throat quietly. "All eyes on the board please. As you should have noticed today we'll be focusing on the disillusionment charm. Now before all the wand waving and certain theatrics that will no doubt ensue, we'll focus on what exactly the disillusionment charm is." She scanned the faces.
" Can anyone tell me what the disillusionment charm is?"

The class was starting now and of course Lex noticed the eyes the Professor was giving Theo. It was safe to say she was in a much better mood now than she was when she first walked in and now she was even more alert.
She grinned when the Professor admitted that even she knew theatrics would ensue...whatever those were. They were obviously good if the Professor wanted to get boring stuff out of the way first so she wouldn't complain, instead she listened on as the woman decided to ask a question. A rather simple question--but it was only simple because her cousin mentioned it to her two summers ago and that's when she decided she wanted to learn it.
Her hand went up quickly. "It's a charm that can make you go invisible!!"...Well...not invisible really..."Or, well, it makes you look like the things around so you end up blending in."
And they'd be learning that VERY useful charm so she was even happier.

Alyssa sat up when Professor Bellaire asked her first question. Even if the others had basically given the answer, she decided to give her own answer, so she raised her hand.

They were starting and they were being observed by Carter Phillips. Well, whatever. Not important to her obviously more important charms lesson. Bliss listened to Professor Bellaire and raised her eyes to the board. Disillusionment charm. Of course she'd noticed. Hmmm, she wondered whether Bellaire had charmed anything in the room before they came. Maybe there would be surprises waiting for them!? ...No practical yet? POUT. The practical bit was always the best part though.
Ooooh, she knew this.
"It makes a person or object disappear." Okay, so she wasn't explaining it very well. She tried again. "Or rather, it gives the illusion that they aren't there, but they are. You just can't tell. A bit like ... like .." Bliss struggled for the word. "...a chameleon!" That was is. The little lizard-like creature that could blend to it's surrounding and camouflage and whatnot. Pretty smart if you asked her. A lot of muggles and wizards alike kept them as pets, she believe.
BLINK. Actually, she was surprised that people didn't lose them.

Violet nervously bit her lower lip a little bit as she watched Professor Bellaire. She could clearly see that she was feeling rather upset this morning. Violet knew to pay extra close attention in today's lesson if she didn't want to upset her, as well as to be on her best behavior. It's not that Violet didn't like Professor Bellaire, or her methods of teaching, maybe it was just Violet felt it was a little scary to instill such anger towards others. But, Violet was not judging her in the slightest, and even if she wanted to, Violet knew better.
And so the lesson had begun.
Once Professor Bellaire had asked what the disillusionment charm was, her arm had been raised without hesitation. "The disillusionment charm, Professor, can be used as methods of camouflage concealing it's target, not just in color, but as well the texture of what is around them.."
Just like..if someone wished to blend in with their surroundings...if they were intruding the home of an innocent family to steal away a defenseless little gir-Violet quickly shook her head trying to clear her mind of that thought. She REALLY didn't want to cry in class and insult the Professor. As well embarrass herself in front of her fellow peers.

Disillusionment was pretty awesome, and Mo stared at the blackboard over the professor's head as he considered the uses of the spell. Sneaking, for sure. It would be the perfect way to hide during hide and seek. What else?
Or wait... they were supposed to tell the professor what the charm was, hmm? Mo raised his hand eagerly and flashed a big grin at the professor. "It's like a camouflage spell, Professor. It doesn't really make you invisible, but it makes you blend in with your surroundings. It works best in shadowy light, rather than in straight daylight."

Ella was doodling quietly on her parchment when Professor Bellaire started the lesson. The blonde sat up a little straighter and eyed the woman, paying close attention to her question. The disillusionment charm? Ella knew about that.
"Professor, this charm enables you to blend in with your surroundings...I guess sort of like a chameleon would, yeah?" At least that's how Ella thought about it. Oh, and she totally still wanted a chameleon as a pet.

Alice watched in confusion as the professor tossed Selina out of the room so that she could make herself look 'presentable'. The Head Girl looked absolutely FINE to her. But Selina obviously hadn't slept, and that kind of worried her, with all the nightmares the older girl had been having They were going to have a TALK about this later, if she could get to her before Dylan whisked her away somewhere. Because he was very protective of her ever since THAT happened, almost like a bowtruckle to Selina's tree.
That was SUCH a good analogy that she was proud of herself, you know.
Oh. Questions. Were they starting now? "Professor," she started, tossing her hand up. "The Disillusionment Charm causes near invisibility on a person or creature, like helps them take on the colour and texture of stuff around them." She didn't hesitate with that answer, because almost everyone had said it. "Lots of people use it for disguise and protection and stuff, but it's not like it makes you indestructible or anything like that. Just camouflaged."

Okay, okay. The lesson started. Could she sit now? It was getting really hard to stand up and she needed to sit down. Honestly, couldn't she see that she was tired and hungry? Ugh, food. Yeah, could they have one of those classes that required a ton of food? Like the stuff they used to do in Muggle Studies. Please?
But before she could even ask if they could sit, Bellaire was off and running with the first question. Bellaire was asking about a disillusionment charm. The redhead knew the answer to this question. She tiredly lifted her arm in the air, "Professor? A disillusionment charm is a charm that conceals a target. It basically makes the person or object that its being cast on blend in with their surroundings." Kind of a nifty charm, actually.

Carter casually wandered to the back of the classroom after introducing himself. He'd just... observe back here and pretend that that felt natural. Maybe he'd just... sit in a desk?
Anya pondered the question for a few second. Disillusion. She raised her hand. "Professor, it's like... concealer. It doesn't hide or like... alter anything... it's just meant to hide something by blending it in."
And yes. She just compared the spell to makeup. That was okay, right?

As usual, Kendall had gone into Charms class rather excited to find out what they would be learning, especially after the first Advanced Charms Club meeting and all the fun that had happened there. Of course, she didn’t expect refreshments or dueling in the lesson, but she still felt like it was going to be good. She had only given Professor Bellaire a big grin as she’d settled into a seat, noticing the possibly sour mood but determined not to let that affect her, and glancing over to see that they were going to be learning the Disillusionment charm. Awesome, she thought, making sure she was following directions as the professor had begun the lesson. She’d essentially been looking at the board before then anyway, to the point she’d barely noticed that there was yet another visitor sitting in on this lesson. That wasn’t really important. Getting to practice Disillusionment was.
“The Disillusionment charm is like camouflage, or like how ninjas can blend into the shadows so they can do things without being seen. Or it’s like using an invisibility cloak without actually having to wear one,” she said, raising her hand. “They kind of work the same way, don’t they? Neither one makes a person really invisible, they just make them blend into whatever’s around them.” At least, that was what she believed. She could really use the Disillusionment charm when she was on superhero missions or stuff like that, since then she wouldn’t be dealing with the extra fabric of a cloak. Even if the cloak was technically invisible. It still could get caught on something, but the Disillusionment charm was a charm. It couldn’t get accidentally pulled off of her when she went anywhere.

Sonea did what the teacher said and she looked at the board, feeling a little nervous. She didn’t understand anything what she saw on the school board and she didn’t like it to not know what was going on. But she said nothing, no, she was not stupid! Even when the teacher asked something she said nothing, not because she didn’t want to win house points but because she really didn’t know the answer and she didn’t like it to speak in a classroom full with people she didn’t know and who would look at her.
With a uneasy smile on her lips she listened to what the other students around her were saying and tried to remember the good answers. When she felt how a something inside her pocked started to move she looked surprised. Little princes was sleeping in her pocked and she had not realized it till now. A little worried if this would be a problem she pushed her hand inside her pocked and tried to hide her pink rat deeper inside her pocked so that nobody would she her rat.

Was it just him or was the professor even more moody than ever? He even noticed that Theo did not get a smile and that was saying something. Being a little uncomfortable under the stares that she directed to the class, Daichi set down on his chair when class begun. He could right?
His eyes turned to the board as he listened to the first question. What was a disillisionment charm? Daichi thought, trying to remember if he had read it before. As he thought, he kind of looked around the room and spotted the new student (sonea) sitting in class as well. He smiled because he hadn't thought she would go to class immediately but it was good to see that she did. All of the sudden remembered the answer and raised his hand in the air. "Professor Bellaire! Its like being invisible, right? Only not really, you blend in in your surroundings like..." Daichi bit his lower lip "like when you stand in front of a wall you will look like a wall!" that sounded about right.
Laura looked at the Professor and raised her hand. "Professor it is a charm that can conceal things from anyone." Laura smiled. "So if I wanted to hide something from someone because it was a gift to them or something like that, I could just use this charm and the person in question couldn't see it." Laura wasn't sure if that was right but she knew there was a spell like that and so she decided she would see if it was this spell.

Instead of answering right away, he thought for a few minutes...As the name suggested...YES, it would camouflage something. Probably would make something invisible...Hmmmmm. "Professor, since everyone has said it's basically a camouflage spell...It's also an extremely advanced piece of magic...and the light it emits is blue."...because no one had said these things...and if they had...Well, Dylan hadn't heard them. Of course she'd been reading, she thought and nodded at Professor Bellaire. She needed to read so that she could LEARN, obviously. So far in this lesson she hadn't learnt anything that she didn't already know, but surely that would change as the lesson went on. For a second her thoughts lingered on West and she thought about what he said a while ago. Wait .. three points? YAY. Bliss beamed at the Professor before sitting more comfortably in her chair.
Quickly, Bliss jotted down the definition for later reference.

Right, so when would it be used? There was one thing that see'd read, but perhaps it was going away from the point a little. They weren't likely to be using it on animals today. Nevertheless, Bliss raised her hand and waited before speaking. "I ... I read that it's something used on animals." Okay, now tell her why. "Just so that muggles can't see them. Like .. winged horses. Hippogriffs." Could she say more? "My sister told me that there's a law about it ... that owners of them have to use the disillusionment charm on them." Yes? No? ... If it was wrong, she'd just blame her sister. No, she wouldn't really.
