The decor of the Muggle Studies classroom has yet again changed. Hanging around the walls with little spotlights on them is a variety of Muggle and Wizard Campaign posters through the years. Some of them are very familiar and some of them are unknown but very artistic.
Playing in the background is a variety of vintage rock songs such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hindrix, the Beatles, John Lennon, and the Rolling Stones just to name a few. All of the songs playing have a political undertone to them.
The normal comfy chairs have been replaced with round tables. Each table has four chairs around the table. In the center of each table is a plastic tub filled with Muggle glue, scissors, tape, pencils and sharpies of various colors. Under each tub is a stack of large white, black, blue, and red sheets of paper.
There's the usual note on the dry erase board at the front of the room.

Welcome to Muggle Studies #2!!!!
Please place your five art supplies into the plastic tub in the center of your table and have a seat. We will be beginning shortly!
The professor is sitting in front of the board drinking a warm Caramel flavored coffee out of a Mickey Mouse themed coffee cup with her usual sweet smile on her face.
So come on in and have a seat and feel free to have little conversations until class starts.
OOC: Class will officially start in the morning CST. See you then!

Alyssa slowly entered the Muggle Studies classroom and looked around. Professor Cerulean never ceased to amaze her when it came to decorating the classroom. This time it was filled with posters, both muggle and wizarding kind. There were even little spotlights shining on each of them.
Alyssa tilted her head as she listened to the music. The music sounded familiar although she knew that they were not from her time. As Alyssa entered the room, she noticed that instead of the regular chairs, there were round tables with four chairs to each table. Before Alyssa sat down at one of them, she walked up to the Professor who was sitting in front of the board drinking from a coffee cup.
"Hello Professor Cerulean. I like what you did with the classroom." Alyssa smiled in greeting before walking back to one of the tables. As she passed the board, the read the instructions on it. So that's why she wanted them to bring their supplies.
Alyssa dug into her backpack and pulled out a box of 24 colored pencils, tubes of different colored glitter, a box of colored markers, some shiny stickers of various shapes and sizes and placed them into the tub along with the other supplies she had already placed inside the tub. Then she sat down and waited for the class to start.

Jory was looking forward to another Muggle Studies class. He always enjoyed the lessons. The Superhero themed one being his favorite to date. He entered the room and the first thing he noticed was the setting. The tables with four seats assigned to each along with the tubs of art supplies. "Good day, Professor,'' he greeted finally spotting her. "Nice cup.'' Grin. Mickey.
The Puffer made his way to one of the seats. After taking a seat, he read the note on the board. "Luckily I didn't forget theses,'' he thought as he reached into his bag. Out came markers, wax crayons, coloured pencils, drawing pencils and some string. He placed them into he tub.
Jake had been chatting easily with Anya as they made their way to the classroom, but as soon as he walked through the door he stopped. The change in decor caught his eye immediately. "No comfy chairs?" Sad face. There were tables. Which probably meant that they'd be in groups. Jake glanced at Anya quickly and relaxed slightly. He could handle comfy!chairless.
"Good morning, Professor," he said louder, waving to Professor Cerulean. "I like your mug." He could appreciate Mickey Mouse.
He turned toward a table, pulling a chair out for Anya before taking one himself. While he waited for the class to start, he unloaded Anya's his art supplies from his bag. Colored pencils, crayons, markers, glitter and glue sticks. All property of Anya Phillips. Because art supplies had not been on his list of school supplies to buy, and he wasn't one to carry them around. When apparently Anya was. So that was nice of her to lend him some. It gave off the impression that he was prepared. He'd thank her for that later.

Anya followed in after Jake. In fact... she had thought they were in the middle of a conversation. But the conversation was dropped with No Comfy Chairs. ... She was pretty sure that wasn't relevant to what she had been saying. But it was possible that it was.
Aww! They were ART CLASS-ing! And yes. That was a verb now. "Hello Professor!" she said excitedly as she passed.
SQUEE! Look at all the fun stuff to look at! This was going to be fun. And she got to play with glitter for a grade!
She took the seat that Jake had pulled back for her with a grateful smile. Then she unloaded her own supplies into the tub in the center. She had a few pairs of craft scissors (the ones with the patterns), some stickers that sported slogans like "Well Done", some glitter pens, color changing ink with a quill, and a ruler.
Yes. That is a craft supply.
"... I should have thought about Popsicle sticks. That was my favorite part of crafts when I was little. Eatting... and then not having to throw away my trash." True story.

Asher had just got done eating breakfast just before this class. And had to go all the way back to his dorm to get his art supplies, that he didn't carry with him to breakfast because apparently you can't eat eggs with a colored pencil.
So there he was in the classroom, He swore the professor changed the classroom around for every lesson which was cool but she had way too much time on her hands. He smiled and said "Good morning, Professor C. " He called her that because he could remember how to pronounce her last name.
He turned around and seen Keller and Anya, sitting at a table together, well didn't they look cozy. Awwww. He waved to both of them. "Hey, Keller, Anya mind if I sit with you guys?" Not that he cared what the answer was because he'd just toss his colored pencils into bin.
He sat down beside Anya, and pulled out a pencil sharpener. You never know when you may need it. Then he put a roll of tape, because you know tape was an art supply, Box of crayons and a box of marker. Some liked coloring and drawing with different stuff.

One thing about West was that he had a LOT of art supplies. Not that he had brought his best stuff mind you, figuring he'd have to share and not really wanting to waste expensive paints on people that might suck at art. But he did bring a jar of colour-changing oil paint with brushes, some rubber stamps and embossing tools, quick-dry moulding paste, and some green and silver parchment. Well, so he didn't want to bring stuff everyone would bring. So what?
The first thing he actually noticed was the music. The very first song that came on was one he was learning to play himself. So who knew Cerulean had good taste? Not West. He automatically liked her better now, even though this politics stuff had been really boring so far this term. And oh yeah.
"Hi Professor."
Because he was polite.

Alyssa noticed that someone had sat next to her and looked over to see that it was Jory. "Hi Jory. I wonder what the Professor has in plan for us today." she whispered over to him.

She was almost afraid to walk into Muggle Studies class this time. No matter where she went in the castle people were talking about the elections and the people they wanted to win...who they didn't want to win...who they needed to disappear, stuff like that and well, quite frankly she was ready to curl up in a corner and comfort her brain back to good health.
Politics gave her a headache. Not because it was hard or even difficult to understand but because it was much too boring for her short attention span and didn't hold very much interest for her.
She walked into the room and sighed heavily. The politics music was playing again. This couldn't mean anything good. Nope. She learned that last time.
"Hello Professor." She said politely before plopping down into a random seat. It was only then that she realized the difference in the room and the whole circle table stuff. Group work maybe? This wasn't so bad. Not really as long as they'd all be colouring or something. She took out her art stuff then waited because she had nothing better to do and nothing to grab her attention.
Pity.

Ella walked into Muggle Studies with a small smile playing on her lips. Art supplies meant they'd be doing something fun, yeah? Like maybe instead of doodling on the corner of her notes her doodling could actually get her like class credit or something! Yeah, that seemed pretty good to her. "Hello Professor!" She greeted with a smile and a little wave before making her way to one of the empty round tables.
"Hey Lex, mind if I join you?" She asked the younger girl with a small smile. She totally wouldn't mind, yeah? Yeah. And so the blonde plopped down before placing her art supplies in the middle.

Jory was lost in his own world after he had taken a seat and had not noticed if anyone was at the table. That is, until he heard a familiar voice. "Oh hello, Lyssa,'' he replied. "Sorry. You must be think I'm rude but I didn't notice you.'' Well, he hadn't noticed who else was in the class anyway. "Me too,'' the boy added, nodding. "Something fun as usual.'' Kat's eyes felt like they were going to pop out of her skull. Professor Cerulean has been doing a lot of decorating to her classroom this term. Like... a lot. However it did look okay, but she'd rather have the normal room interior back. It was way too fancy for her eyes. Why? Because, look... more Board of Governors-related topics. Kat was getting sick of this. She didn't like politics anymore. It was too much things to take in her brain.
The songs were foreign to Kat, but hey. They seemed nice. Though that wasn't what she was here for. "Hello professor," Kat greeted and gave the woman a short nod and smile. So uhm... colours. Kat needed her inner 'artist' for this class, probably.

He wondered what would they do today in this class since Professor Cerulean asked them to bring the art supplies. Drawing something, perhaps? But unfortunately, Gary didn't bring any of them beside the pencils set which he usually used for sketching and he'd rather to keep them in his bag since the price wasn't cheap. But well, he just prepared scissors, double tape and glue in case they would need them.
Entering the classroom, the Head Boy heard some music that had played by the Professor. Hey, he was familiar with some of them. Rolling Stone, Luke was a big fan of them. "Hello Professor. You really have a good music taste." He said. Then putting the supplies that he had prepared, the Head Boy then sat and enjoyed the music.

She'd been removing her crafting items from her bag one by one on the way over, stacking them in her arms as she went. She knew it would look a little silly, but she sort of just wanted to make sure she hadn't forgotten them and once she started counting, her feet had moved her to the classroom before she could put them all away again. So there she was, arms fit to burst with her watercolors, colored glue, sequins, colored pencils, and yarn. She looked around the classroom at all of the posters on the walls and felt a little disappointed already. She really liked this professor, but she was personally pretty worn out on all of the political stuff. She hoped they wouldn't be making campaign posters, because hadn't that happened somewhere already sort of? She wasn't sure. She was sure however that she did not like this music. But everyone was entitled to their own opinions and musical preferences so she didn't say anything except for a simple, "Hello Professor" with a smile as she added her craft items to the rest of them.
She searched the room for some friendly faces because if she had to listen to this music the whole time, she at least wanted to be next to people she liked. She spotted Alexa and Ella and decided to sit next to them. "Hi guys," she whispered as she plopped down beside them.
Sarah was really looking forward to this lesson. She LOVED art and by the request she knew that she was going to do something art related. It had been hard to choose what to bring, after all limiting it to only five was HARD! She had brought Markers, Pencil Crayons (and a sharpener), Acrylic paint (and paint brushes), glitter glue, calligraphy pens (she sucked at calligraphy (due to her messy handwriting) yet perhaps another student could help her if need be as well as a stack of old daily prophets. She had an idea what to do with them. That was all she brought yet she did have a bit have bit more from her grandmother who shared her love of art and drawing. Sarah found it just relaxing. She knew she had brought six items yet of them she had 5 art supplies as the newspapers would not really count right?
Interesting music, she mused to herself. "Hello Professor!" Sarah chirped. Alexa, Ella and Eliza were there as well as Alyssa, Anya, Jake and not but not least West. She waved at all of them and she sat down at the same table as Alexa, Ella and Eliza. "Do you mind if I sit here? She asked them putting her things down. Maybe they had kept the seat for someone else?
Then Sarah noticed West had some really cool coloured parchments... "West... I like that parchment, where do you get them from?" she asked him.

Sierra walked into the Muggle Studies classroom with her arms full of the art supplies she'd managed to gather. She didn't really do a whole lot of art. What was the with all the spells she'd learned to do over the years? Ehh, this was Muggle Studies, though, so she guessed they'd need to do things the non-magical way.
She came to a stop at a table with an empty seat and dropped her art supplies into the tub in the center of it. She'd brought a box of crayons, a box of markers, some glitter, a pack of construction paper, and some glue. Looking around at all the faces at the same table, she gave each student a brief nod then took a seat.
What in the world was the professor listening to anyway?
Muggle studies was well, a fairly silly class, but well it was also usually fairly easy. So he was here, and not to upset about it. Though, having to bring craft suplies was kind of annoying. He didn't HAVE art suplies. Sure he could kind of sketch things like that dragon egg his first year, but craft stuff was different. And five items that was tough! Before class, he had rummaged around in his trunk and grabbed a few regular ball-point pens, and had found a highlighter, and a ball of string. He had then popped into the kitchen, and placed a few handfuls of macaroni into a paper bag. After thinking for some time on what he could use as another item, he ran outside and broke a few small dead branches of of a tree on the grounds.
With all the items in hand, he headed to class and found an empty seat and plopped down, placing all his items in the designated area.
She was pulling her knapsack onto her lap as she was seated when Sarah walked in. "Sure, of course! Go ahead," she said with a smile. It looked like Sarah had brought a lot of things to contribute to craft time too. I wonder when we'll start with whatever we're doing, she wondered. And how long we'll have to listen to this strange retro muggle music. She rested her hands over her bag on her lap and watched the professor, wondering what all she had in store for them today.

Dylan entered the Muggle Studies classroom, immediately being hit with the sounds of...music? Professor Cerulean was listening to. Naturally, music would be the first thing he'd notice...
Wait...
She listened to John Lennon?!
Staring at her with mild interest, the Slytherin approached the table, digging into his bag as he did so. Shading pencils, colored ink, a quill, an eraser, and a rolled up piece of yarn were his selections for art supplies...They were simple, like him. Depositing them into the bin, Dylan moved to take a seat.
"Nice tunes, Professor." The stuff he JAM'D to...Oh, wait! Was that the Stones?! He leaned back in his seat some, surveying those around him, totally at ease.
Gemma smiled as the students walked in and then she did a little walk around the room to check to make sure everyone had brought in their supplies. As she walked she wrote down the student's name and their supplies. She was pretty impressed with the items brought. This was going to be better than she had hoped.
When she finally made it around to the front again, she started the lesson, "Welcome to Muggle Studies again! I'm excited to see you all!" she paused as she walked to the little stage at the front of the room.
"As you all are well aware of, and many of you are probably tired of hearing about, we are full force into the Board of Governor Elections. This is such an exciting time for our school and wizarding community. I hope you all attended our Hogwarts debate and enjoyed the dunking of the candidates." she said with a big smile..she had enjoyed watching some of them get dunked and had wished that different ones had been dunked in the process.
"Let's get the lesson started by thinking about the debate. Did anyone learn something new about any of the candidates from the debate...this could be their platforms or personal information or anything?" she asked sweetly.

Dylan was still jamming out to the Stones...when she started class. BOO. Couldn't they just sit here and absorb the awesomeness that was Mike Jagger? Couldn't they?!
Sigh.
...And again about this Board of Governors stuff. Geeez. Professor Cerulean was right. He was definitely tired of hearing about it...but no matter. He'd answer her question honestly.
After raising his hand..."Professor, I learned that they like to talk a lot...and the candidate that plays for Puddimere...Carter? Yea, he seems like a cool dude. I'd chill with him."

Hannah has been pratically M.I.A. her whole year as a fourth year. It wasn't her fault though and she wasn't in the mood to talk about it. She didn't like the fact the her first class back was Muggle Studies. Ugh! Of all subjects.
The debate? What debate? Oh yeah... that one. Err... she heard a lot of people talking about it maybe she could fake it. "I learned that it is hard to make people agree." This was a debate right? So obviously people would not be agreeing. She tried to blend in with the class again. No eyes on her please and thank you!

Alyssa slowly raised her hand and shared her observations. "Professor, Mr. Erik Vinteren, doesn't seem to agree with how we do things here and how/what we are taught. I think it's because he didn't attend Hogwarts. From what I can see he seems to think that a person's intelligence is based on how many languages they speak and how well travelled they are." Alyssa scrunched her nose as she thought to herself. 'He's a snob.'
But then she continued with her answer. "However, having said that he does have some solid ideas on how he wants the school and the students to grow. The student exchange program sounds interesting, and as for equal funding for all the school curriculum and added security in the school grounds, I have to agree that should be something the Board of Governors should seriously consider. So I guess that must mean that he does care about the welfare of the students and their safety."
Alyssa hated to mention his good points because she still didn't trust the man. She knew from fact that most politicians were also the best liars, and people will say ANYTHING just to get voted in.

Had Ella learned anything new about the candidates from the debate? The blonde sat quietly for a moment or two and thought this over. She agreed with Dylish about the talking a lot thing. Some candidates just didn't seem to want to stop talking, actually. I guess it was easy for some people to go on and on about themselves. The fifteen year old figured she'd never want to run for anything because well, there wasn't much interesting stuff to say about her personally. Shrug.
"Professor, I learned that some candidates seemed to follow their head when answering questions while others followed their heart." She tended to gravitate towards those who went with the heart, though.

Despite how great the music was -- Cerulean had some really great taste in music -- Alec couldn't help but just STARE at some of the items on the desk. What in the name of Superman's super senses had Kaiden brought along? Alec reached over and picked up the nearest item, examining it slightly. Branches? Were those art supplies?
... Probably.
It was better than him, probably. All he could find were some colouring pencils and felt tip pens. He doubted whether any of them worked, actually, but if they were going to use these items and make something, at least theirs would be original.
...
OH HEY. Question time.
Something he had learnt from the debate... Well... there were a lot of things he had learnt from that debate. He raised his hand and tentatively said something along the lines of, "Women can be scary sometimes," ... It was true though! And it probably tied in with the dangerous thing that Dylan had told him about once. "And... most of the candidates said that they wanted to make the security of the school... better? More secure?"
