Bishop retrieves the quaffle and puts it back into play - her pass is caught by Captain Dixon, who teams up with Wisteria and Yarborough, and the three take off down the pitch in a V-formation! Gunter darts in front of them and leads the pack, his bat swinging in his hands, and Potter takes the back - the Gryffindor Chasers, unfazed by the formation built surely to intimidate, charges all at once! Cambridge and Edwards swoop around to the front and fly directly at Dixon, who quickly passes to Yarborough - Yarborough veers to the left and breaks away from the pack, and Goldman pursues swiftly! CRACK! Alyssa Potter's bat connects with a bludger and sends it whistling through the air toward Goldman, and Fischer races after it - OOMPH! Too late! The bludger connects with its target! Yarborough, not knowing if Goldman is still following him, passes to Wisteria in the scoring area, who shoots... DING! Lotus Wisteria scores for Hufflepuff!

Keller retrieves the quaffle and tosses it into play to teammate Goldman, who swings around and takes off like a rocket, determined to score for her team! Naturally, Dixon wasn't having any of that - the Hufflepuff Captain accelerates, gaining speed on Goldman - Goldman suddenly tosses the ball to her far right without looking, and Edwards is there to catch the pass! Edwards darts forward, outflying Yarborough, enters the scoring area, aims, and shoots... THWACK! Ella Bishop knocks the quaffle away from the hoops with a smooth swing of her broomstick!
Summers, frustrated with himself and quite a bit astounded at how fast Greenwell was, had let his gaze drift to the section of the stands that was supportive of his team - then he saw it. And, at a glance, he noticed that Greenwell had not. In an attempt to be sly, Summers very slowly and gradually flew toward the stands - keeping a subtle eye on Greenwell as he went - then, when he felt that he was close enough to the snitch and far enough away from Greenwell, Summers shot forward toward the snitch! Greenwell noticed that quick movement and took off in his direction, but it was too late - Summers had already gained valuable ground on the snitch, even as it took a dive for the stands, then the ground below - but Summers snatched it right up! Hufflepuff has caught their first snitch of the game!

Wisteria catches Bishop's deflected quaffle, swoops around, and zooms down the pitch! The Hufflepuff Chaser evades a charging Goldman long enough to pass to Yarborough, who narrowly avoids running straight into Cambridge! Cambridge pursues Yarborough, but the Hufflepuff suddenly launches the quaffle skyward - the quaffle is snagged by Dixon, who enters the scoring area and shoots... DING! Renesmee Dixon scores for Hufflepuff!

Once Keller retrieves the quaffle, Christmas Goldman receives his pass and is immediately broadsided by Yarborough! Goldman loses the quaffle, but Edwards moves quickly and scoops it up - she takes off down the pitch, swerving around Wisteria, but Wisteria follows quickly on her tail! Cambridge flies just ahead of Edwards with open arms - CRACK! The nearby sound of wood hitting iron makes a few players cringe as Alyssa Potter sends a nasty bludger toward Edwards, but the girl dives out of the way and loses the quaffle in the process - luckily, Cambridge beats Wisteria to the quaffle and enters the scoring area - she doesn't hesitate to shoot... but Ella Bishop makes a seemingly effortless, diving save!
