Keller retrieves the quaffle and puts it back into play to teammate Goldman! Goldman, with a fierce look of determination to score for her team, leans forward on her broomstick and takes off down the pitch! As she gains speed, Dixon flies out right in front of her, causing Goldman to drop the quaffle in a moment of panic - luckily, Cambridge was right there and scoops it right up! As Yarborough swoops in alongside Cambridge and tries to knock the quaffle out of her hand, a loud CRACK! is heard - Selina Skylar sends a bludger soaring right at Yarborough to defend little Cambridge, but the boy ducked his head just in time to avoid a nasty head injury! The bludger fly-by provided enough distraction for Cambridge to make a quick pass to Edwards, who nears the scoring area and shoots... THWACK! Ella Bishop uses the tail of her broomstick to knock the quaffle away from the hoops with a mighty swing!
The Seekers have spotted the Snitch!

Bishop knocks the quaffle to the awaiting Dixon, who is immediately charged by Cambridge! Dixon, far from intimidated, veers far to the right and flies around the outside of the pitch, soaring just a few feet from the chattering stands! As Goldman approaches, Dixon launches the quaffle right over the Gryffindor Chaser's head - the quaffle is caught by Wisteria, who shoots forward, outflying a pursuing Edwards! Wisteria passes to Yarborough up ahead in the scoring area, he shoots... DING! Yarborough makes another beautiful goal for Hufflepuff!
Penelope Greenwell sees it first - right near her captain's broomstick tail! Greenwell darts forward like a rocket, quickly gaining speed, and flies directly at her captain! Fischer sees Penelope coming and shoots out of the way just in time as the snitch darts the opposite way! Penelope pursues it quickly, refusing to let it outrun her when she has gotten so close - OOMPH! Alec Summers slams hard into Greenwell's side unintentionally as he gains speed and decreases the space between his outstretched hand and the snitch! Greenwell, scandalized by the thought of Summers taking this one from her when she was there first, suddenly scoots forward on her broomstick, leans all the way down to gain optimum speed - the Seekers are side-by-side, they both reach out - but the arm of scarlet connects with the glittering golden ball first! Penelope Greenwell has caught the first snitch of the game!

Goldman is immediately pursued by Wisteria, who catches up quickly and tries to bump the quaffle out from under Goldman's arm - she succeeds! But, luckily for Goldman, Edwards was flying nearby - Edwards lunges forward and snatches the ball right before Wisteria can take possession! Edwards races toward the hoops, beating out Yarborough, enters the scoring area, and shoots... but MISSES as Ella Bishop makes a miraculous diving catch! What a save!
