Ashby retrieves the fallen quaffle and puts it back into play. His pass is caught by Beatrice Castell, who takes off down the pitch, right alongside Branxton and Shacklebolt! The three fly together in a wobbly sort of V-shape, with Castell out in front in the middle, while Branxton and Shacklebolt ward off the Slytherin Chasers! The Ravenclaw Chasers make it all the way to the other end of the pitch, where Castell enters the scoring area, aims for the right hoop, and shoots... DING! Beatrice Castell scores for Ravenclaw!

This time, Montmorency saw the snitch long before Stone! Stone was completely unsuspecting as Montmorency took off toward the spot where Turner had been hovering next to the Snitch - Stone just thought the Slytherin Captain was going to scold or give a pointer or two, until Montmorency was barreling at full force toward the same spot even after Turner left! In a panic, Stone darted after Montmorency, but it was too late - Montmorency had made a beautiful grab! Slytherin is now tied with Ravenclaw, two snitches each!

As soon as the Snitch was re-released and gameplay resumed, the Seekers spotted the Snitch once more!

Kinsley retrieves the quaffle for Slytherin and puts it back into play to Katrina Hudson, who veers around Elise Fairfield and launches a pass across the field to Richard Turner. Castell charges Turner, who searches for an open Chaser to pass to and finds the open arms of Odessa up ahead - he passes to Odessa, despite Shacklebolt's attempt to intercept and a hard THUMP! that followed, then Odessa makes a break for the hoops! Odessa swoops into the scoring area, tosses the quaffle back and forth between his hands for a moment to psych out Ashby, he fakes for the left hoop, then the right, then the right again, then he shoots for the center hoop... but Ashby follows his gaze the entire time and makes a beautiful diving save!

Both of the Seekers spotted it at the same time - as soon as Professor James had re-released the Snitch, it darted behind her, then it started for the Ravenclaw hoops, but came right back toward them and flew into the stands! Neither Seeker lost sight of its path, and when they were free to pursue once more, both Montmorency and Stone took off after it in a flash, their capes billowing behind them sharply! Montmorency had the lead, then Stone, then Montmorency again as the Snitch led them in a wild chase, down through the depths of the stadium below the stands! Montmorency had a bit more trouble navigating through the wooden posts than little agile Stone, who gained ground on the Snitch quickly! Suddenly, the Snitch shot over and out of from under the stands, now leading the Seekers back onto the field! As the two raced after it, they passed through the current gameplay - as Shacklebolt tried to intercept that pass from Turner to Odessa, he managed to slam into little Aidan Stone, full-force, who began to fall from his broomstick and ended up dragging Shacklebolt down with him, plummeting toward the ground below, twisting in mid-air - Stone landed right on top of Shacklebolt, who broke his fall! Montmorency, unfazed, leaned forward just enough and clasped his hand right around the snitch - he had it! Dylan Montmorency has caught the third and final snitch for Slytherin!

"Dylan Montmorency has caught Slytherin's third snitch, bringing today's match to an end," James spoke hurriedly with her wand to her neck as she flew toward Shacklebolt and Stone on the ground. "Slytherin takes the third game of the term, 140 to 135!"

And that was all she was going to say. James dismounted and hurried toward Stone and Shacklebolt, mentally preparing for the worst. As long as they were conscious and breathing, it probably wasn't the end of the world, right?

Dustin couldn't believe the game he was having! It was unfortunate that he let in two goals, but he had five saves! After his last save, he wiggled around on his broom while cheering on his teammate and fellow second year, Aidan.

But then their DOPEY captain flew STRAIGHT INTO the poor kid and knocked him out, which cost them the snitch and the game.

While he was bummed that they had lost, Dustin couldn't help but feel incredibly proud of his team, though. Once again, their teamwork had been a HUGE force and had resulted in an amazing game.

He directed his broom toward the crumpled heap of limbs and landed his broom softly, still holding the quaffle. "Wow you two are like a giant wad of gillyweed!" he exclaimed, his voice still a little horse from shouting. "Are you uhh....okay?"

Just then, he noticed Professor James making her way over to the game-of-Twister-without-a-mat-that-wasn't-actually-a-game and called out to her waving his hand. "Professor, somehow I ended up with the quaffle again!"

He looked back down at his teammates.

"Oh, and this happened too!"

West dismounted feeling a bit woozy, heart beating in his ears but otherwise generally in one piece. He didn't get all beat up in this game at least, even if he hadn't exactly performed to the usual standards he held himself to. One goal. One lousy goal. But they DID win, somehow. Dylan pulled out all the stops and West was just sort of in awe. It wasn't like an every game occurrence to see someone outfly a Stone, right?

He was... facing the wrong way. West turned around and walked toward the Ravenclaws, noting the broken ones but... well, they had people to take care of them. They didn't need a West and they weren't HIS 'claws.

"Good game Ravenclaw!" West was infact already doing the math in his head; Slytherin would need about 230 points to have a chance at winning the cup; Hufflepuff could, if they won against Gryffindor and got two or the goals besides, get a 50 point lead on Ravenclaw for their match.

It was all about the Gryffindors now.

Where was Mo for a fistbump? And obviously Theo. And Asher. Asher needed fistbumpage.

Dylan needed two fists, and then he, West, would go find Bliss and..... get a drink of water and probably lie down for a bit.

Elise was almost bouncing on her broom, watching Aidan gain on the snitch until Milton decided to BANG right into him. Great. Thanks, Peacock. Groaning, Elise began her descent and quite nearly made a large crash. Actually, she deserved a large crash. She was soooo stupid not to judge the force with which she thwacked the bludger. It was her fault that they had lost because she had bumphed and she had caused that penalty that resulted in point loss.

Elise's eyes began to water as she choked back a sob and simply stumbling off her broom and into a crumpled heap on the snowy ground. Hugging her knees, Elise's eyes continued to water and the tears ran cold down her cheeks. "It's all my fault," she choked between sobs. It was. Aidan and Mo and Bee and Milton had all done so brilliantly and she'd failed them. They'd have won if it wasn't for that penalty.

They would have won.

Totally oblivious to the Slytherins doing their victory dances, Elise sobbed. Five points, that was all, but those five points were her fault. No, she wasn't okay yet. She was still ignoring the world around her. She was as frozen as the snow around her.

Some mature fifth year she was.

No, he wasn't unconscious. No, he didn't find the humor in Dustin's words. No, he was neither happy or sad about the outcome of the match.

He didn't feel much at all, actually. Everything was numb. Except, perhaps, for his head, which felt like it contained 100 nests full of 100 billywigs in it.

Aidan groaned, turned, and vomited.
