Oh! Flying!

Aquila quickly made her way down the Pitch, her long blond curls whipping behind her. This will be her first time flying on a BROOM, so naturally she'd be very curious!excited.

Which isnt to say she's never flown before, but then again there seems to be many things from her island that people around these parts seem to find rather strange.

She skipped to a halt in front of the Professor. "Goodmorning Professor--" oh no, forgot the name again. She scrambled for her class schedule from her pocket then hurriedly read the print "Oh! Goodmorning Professor James!"

*smiley face*

Flying is fun and the only subject that they don't get to learn so much stuff because they're too busy being up in the air. Fun stuff. Juliet would not miss a lesson for this.

She strolled down the quidditch pitch as soon as she finished getting ready. She wondered what they will do today? Plus she heard that someone, hopefully not strict, replaced Vindictus. That professor shall be missed.

Walking around the pitch she saw the professor and looked like she's ready enough to start this lesson. Juliet smiled and greeted her "Good morning professor"

Well WEST was no beginner but as he and Dylan had realised when chatting about the new professor and classes and flying and tryouts and other important things, a basic flying lesson was a perfect opportunity for a warm up and to get back into the swing of things. Almost like a tryout all on its own, and more importantly, a change to see how dedicated people were to taking flying opportunities as they came.

He was one of the first there too, which was cool. West approached the professor.

"'sup, professor." In other words, welcome. How are you? Hello. A lot could be said in a simple sup.

He deposited himself on the grass and relaxed, waiting for things to begin and for the rest of his future teammates to show up too.

Melody walked to the practice pitch. She smiled with a confident grin on her face. This was going to be easy and fun.

"Good morning, professor." She greeted the teacher. Melody looked around the place. Cool, she seemed to be the first, first year. This was exciting. She spotted a third and fifth year fellow Slytherins and stood close by the two students.

Oichi pretty much had flying down but she really wanted a nice easy get away from all her other classes. Thankfully this year older students were aloud to attend basic flying if they wanted to. She walked down to the pitch and was surprised to see a brand new flying instructor, hmm. "Good morning professor, welcome to Hogwarts! This is a great day for flying, isn't it?".

Lex was practically grinning from ear to ear as she entered the practice pitch. This would be the first class she'd be having of the term that didn't require her to use a textbook or fabricate an answer that quite usually wasn't as accurate as everyone else.

Things were different out her. All you needed was a love of flying and a willingness to learn--not that she needed to learn, that last part was for the ones who'd had the shoddy luck of never flying before.

"G'Morning Professor!" GRIN.

This might have been a beginners class thing but that didn't mean she didn't plan to show yup! Nope. She wanted to fly a broom too. It wasn't fair for only them have all the fun. She stopped right by the Professor and looked at everyone else that had already arrived. The others would be arriving soon, yeah?

Alice definitely didn't need to touch up on broom skills, so no one should have been that. In reality, she just wanted to warm up to the new professor before she held tryouts or participated a game. Partially, it was also because she hadn't heard that pretty little whistle in a long time and she MISSED it. Also, because this was the only class in the school that she could participate in without embarrassing herself.

But no one needed to know that.

"Morning, Professor." She beaaaamed at the new lady-- didn't she look a bit like that former Ravenclaw Keeper?-- and waited. She was waiting for lesson to start, for the time when she could use one of those shiny brooms. And she was also hoping that none of the firsties would break the best one that she used for games. Ahem.

Theodore was excited for flying class. Not because he needed any extra training, but because he was curious about who was replacing Vindictus. And they had better be good during the whole Quidditch matches and stuff. That was very important indeed.

"Hello, professor..." Professor name-he-didn't-know. "I'm Theodore..." And he was gonna mention his Quidditch experience, BUT, he didn't wanna sound cocky.

After all, he wasn't guaranteed on the team this term. God forbid that he would mess up the tryouts..

He stood by the usuals, and waited for the rest of the team to arrive.

Audrey had gone to Ariana's house over the summer and gotten the hang of flying on a broomstick (the idea that witches actually flied on broomsticks still made her giggle if she thought about it too long), but another flying lesson would definitely help her out. She was muggleborn, so it's not as if she'd grown up around people flying on brooms.

The short girl grinned at the teacher. "Good Morning, Professor James!" she said happily. She'd taken a couple minutes last night trying to get all her teachers' names down.

Audrey eyed the broomsticks. Flying was still amazing to her; she'd only learned about it a month ago. She couldn't wait to start.

"You're going to attend the Flying Basics class? Why? You're hardly basic.

Beezus could remember Indy telling her that a few terms back when Professor Vindictus was still there and when Indy was too. Her bestie never liked attending that lesson but she did. It was always good to welcome the new term by refreshing herself with flying since she didn't have much chance to play over the summer.

She tied her hair up in a ponytail as she sauntered towards the Pitch. Hmmmm.. The familiar scent of the grass.....

Oh, was it her? The woman with the whistle? "Good day, maa'm." Beezus smiled and bowed a bit.

Ethan walked slowly down into the Quidditch pitch. He couldn't remember what all the other students said about the new professor but she seemed nice enough. "Good day, ma'am," to announce his arrival.

Basics of flying. BEAM!

Ella in no way needed to take this class but really, the blonde was going to take advantage of any flying opportunity she had. The girl loved being in the air and if she thought she could get enough ice cream up there, she'd maybe even fly all the time. Mhm!

Walking towards the Professor, Ella gave her a smile and a little wave. "Hello Professor, I'm Ella Bishop." Because she was new yeah? And it was helpful to give your name and such. Should she mention that she reaaaaaalllyyyyyy love to fly? Meh. That much would probably be obvious at some point.

Spotting some familiar faces, Ells BEAMED and finger wiggled at her friends. She then stood quietly by the broom nearest HER Hulk and waited.

Tiffany had been told that this flying lesson would be based on the basic flying skills so it was not necessary for her to show up at all. However the lioness really had a lot of fun when she was riding on a broom, only if she was not thrown out by it. Besides why not learning some more basic skills if she wanted to be more advanced in it? It would be the best if she set a good base for herself before she started building the whole thing right?

Making her way to the court, she could notice a lady standing at the corner of it with a whistle in her hand. Hmm, a NEW professor. So should she be introducing herself to her first? She waved at the lady and beamed. "Hello Professor, my name is Tiffany,"she greeted in her usual cheerful tone. "Just call me Tiff will be fine." She finished her line, adding a small smirk in the end.

Nigel walked onto the quiddtich pitch ready for flying basics. He did want to get the rust off before tryouts.

"Good Day, Professor"

Nigel looked around to see who else was here and went over to where the majority were standing.

FLYING, FLYING, SHE LOOOOOVED FLYING.

Bliss was hardly basic, in fact she was quite good at flying, though she found it hard to admit. It MUST be true though if she'd managed to make the team last term. Maybe she was good after all? Either way, she was excited to take any opportunity to fly that she could get and she hadn't had much time to practice in the holidays because Tag had come to visit and he'd never asked about playing Quidditch and the rest of the time she had spend in Diagon Alley. Also, it was an extra chance to meet up and play with her friends, she thought as she spotted Theo, Lex, Alice, West and Ella all happy and ready to fly. Flying was SUCH a fun sport. Yeah, it was.

The bubbly third year then walked over to where everyone was standing and looked over at the professor. She was their new Professor? Bliss hoped that she was good. Well, she probably was, seen as she'd got the job. But Vindictus was a lot to match up to. Professor James might have her work cut out for her. "Hello there, Professor, I'm Bliss," she told her and beamed for a effect. A sweet smile always got her brownie point, yes?

Wade had yet to fly around in the school, and was alright with the thought of joining a basic class. Though he was far from basic at flying, the least he could do was take advantage of some training before Quidditch tryouts. So here he was on the Quidditch pitch for the first lesson.

"Lovely day, Professor." Wade greeted before joining the others on the pitch.

Sarah came skipping to the pitch. She could not wait to fly again, she loved to fly, the rush of adreili. the feeling o the wind against your face. That is why she came to this class even though she did not need it. New teacher. "Hello!" Sarah said cheerfully, "My name is Sarah" she said introducing herself. She just couldn't wait to kick her feet off the ground. She had been practicing her riding over the summer as it was, yet Sarah could never get enough of flying.

Flying Lesson.

Messer was excited for this lesson even though today lesson would be based on the basic flying skills but he still excited nonetheless. Flying lesson mean he could get a hold on a broom before the try outs and the fourth year need all the practice he could get even its a basic lesson.

He walked over where everyone was standing and looked over at the new Professor. "Hello, Professor. Welcome to Hogwarts." He didn't get a chance to greet the new Flying Professor at the feast, well better late than never, right? "I'm Edvard Messer." he added before he went to where Ella and Alice were standing and he gave the girls a 'Hello' nod.

Flying...

That was one of the aspects of wizarding life that Ellura was curious about. Sure she had signed up to try out for quidditch but it had kinda been on a whim. She wasn't even sure that she had any ability in the skill of flying. It wasn't as I'd she had any experience other than in a muggle plane. It had to be quite a different experience.

But then that was what this latest class was for... Flying basics. Probably something for first years and such but there was nothing that said older students like herself couldn't get involved. So Ellura had made her way downtown the practice pitch, following the guidance of others since she was still learning the lay of the land. She noticed several other students already there as well as the woman denoted as the new flying professor. Not that she had been around to meet the old professor.

"Good morning, Professor," she greeted with a friendly smile.

Elodie was terrified of brooms, that was all there was to know about this. She hadn't wanted to come, but when she'd owled her brother her timetable (on demand), he'd replied instantly telling her she had to attend a lesson to do with flying, and atleast try to get over her fear. She assumed it was because it was every kind of broom she was scared of - flying brooms, cleaning brooms....and if there were any other types, she was scared of them also.

When she joined the small group of students already gathered for the class, Els began to play nervously with her hair, before closing her eyes. If she pretended this was an entirely different class, she'd be fine - right?

Elodie began to whisper a little reassurance to herself. "It's just...Care of Magical Creatures, Elodie...." And the creatures were totally beasts that terrified her. Oh, it was worth a shot...

Erm...no.

Sierra Greingoth was in no way an amateur flyer. She had plans to go pro after this year, after all, and she certainly didn't need any basic flying training. So why was she here?

To get better and better, of course. She wasn't going to go pro by doing a bunch of Arithmancy problems and carving a tree full of runes, was she? Nope. Besides, she knew they had a new instructor, and she was curious to find out just who this Erin James was.

"Hello," she said, coming to a stop before the professor. "I'm Sierra Greingoth." Yup. It was best to appear calm and confident.

The seventh was probably going to be the oldest person in this class today, which was not the weirdest part of her being there. Selina had been the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain for three terms, she hardly needed to come here and learn how to fly or whatever they were going to do. Of course, the only reason why she was there was to get some practice in. Any time on the Pitch was always good practice and she wanted to take any opportunity to fly under her belt. That and this class was the perfect vessel to get some flying in AND to earn some points. Since Kurumi wasn't here anymore and everyone had to step up their point earning. Seriously.

Walking onto the Pitch, she grinned at the new Professor who kind of looked familiar. She wasn't sure that she had met the Professor before but the face did sort of ring a bell. Huh. Well, she would worry about that later or something.

Waving to the new Professor she said with a grin and a nod, "Morning Professor." Time to get some flying under way. Awesome. OH LOOK IT WAS BITER!

Did Nessie need to be here? Not really. But did she want to, for a change yes. Flying had to have been one of the only subjects Nessie really, really enjoyed and even though it wasn't compulsory for her to attend, she always made an effort to try. Now with Professor J teaching for the first time, Ness just refused to miss out.

With a small smile propped on her face, the red head ventured towards the pitch. She felt calm, and she knew once the flying began she would feel as free as anything, which was exactly why she enjoyed it. But for now, she needed not to squee her head off over how excited she really was, she needed to look calm.

"Morning Professor J." Bright beam!

She then headed towards the other students wanting to see which of her Hufflepuffs were here. The more the better, because these lessons could really help them with try outs.

Jory loved flying but he wasn't that good at it so he thought it would be bet to brush up on the basics. He made hi sway to the Pitch. A few students were there already.

"Good day, Professor,'' he said to the new staff member. "I'm Jory.''
