Divination Lesson 2 The Divination classroom was as bright and cheerful as usual, the heavy curtains were pulled back and the panes were pushed open to allow a fresh breeze to flow in. The desks were arranged normally on their risers and small wooden boxes were places on each of them, enough per student. |
Divinationnn classs timeeeee. she sang a stupid little jungle in her head as she entered the classroom which was brighttt and breezy, quite unusual for divination but *mental shrug* ohhh look at all the little BOXES on the desks! could she play with them? "Hello Professor Elwood, good to see you today." cause really ariana noticed she hadn't been around but it as none of her business what was going on so no questions needed to be asked. anywayy she took a seat and poked at the boxes just poked them.. could she do that? pokepoke |
Time for Divination. Yeah, she internally squealed a little because this was a class that she understood because of reasons. And it was comfortable and Elwood was cool and yeah, okay, maybe there was no snacks, but they could move past that. Walking into the classroom, she grinned at Professor Elwood and said, "Hello Professor Elwood!" Ugh, she was so excited. The quicker everyone stopped slacking and got there the better off they all would be. Time for class people. She plopped down in her usual seat and waited. |
There was no point in getting her hopes up as she made her way to the divination tower. She had long since learned that just because a Professor brought sweets to the class during the first lesson, it didn't mean there would be more in the follow up ones. This wasn't easy to accept but she had an extra chocolate frog in her pocket so it was fine. She walked into the class and spotted the Professor by...well it wasn't her desk--er, it was her desk but just...not her desk...it made heaps of sense in her head, okay? "Good day, Professor!" She said, beaming at the woman before walking to her seat and fixating on the box. What did it do...? She plopped down in her seat, eyeing the note on the board for a minute before pulling out her wand and jab at the box. If it was going to do something, surely this was the way to get it done...? Poke. Poke. Poke. |
Alyssa walked into the classroom glad to see that Professor Elwood was doing okay. She had missed Divination classes and was glad that she would attending one final one before the term ended. Alyssa spotted the Professor sitting in a high backed chair, so she walked up to her. "Hello Professor Elwood. I'm glad that we're having another class." Alyssa told her with a smile before she turned around and looked for a empty seat. She noticed the boxes but quickly glanced away when she saw what was written on the board. She definitely didn't want to get caught looking at them. Finding one, she sat in it before opening her backpack and pulling out her journal and writing materials. She was interested to know what they were going to do in this class. More visits to the beach maybe? |
Divination. Anya didn't quite believe in the subject, but, she did enjoy that they shot bows the other term. And she was still hanging on to the hope that they'd cloud watch or take naps during the lesson one day. And she wasn't about to miss out on that lesson. So... she'd just have to attend every lesson until happened. "Hello Professor." she greeted as she entered the classroom. She nodded a greeting at Ariana before her taking the seat to her right. Oooh. Boxes. What were those for? The message on the board was strangely suspicious. |
Professor Elwood was here! Mika noticed almost immediately and a gigantic smile blossomed onto her face. She really liked the blond lady - for one she had made them look through foot prints...and that was fun and messy and messy was almost always fun. Even if it was a little bit icky at first...with it being cold and gross mud at first but then she found squishy mud and realized it was awesome. She was like a pig. Give her a pile of mud and she would roll in it to her little hearts content. Raising hand she couldn't help but wave over to Professor Elwood. "Hello Professor!" she practically squealed as she saw that she was back. She was glad she was back. Divinations was cool. |
If Kat's opinion had to be said, it has been a while since she last saw Professor Elwood. To her it was good to be back at the Divination Tower and to finally have a lesson on Divination. It wasn't really a boring subject after all. It only takes time to listen, as Kat learnt it. There were some lessons she liked, examples are footprints of mud (even if it was gross) and that archery kind of thing. Awesome, they were. "Good day Professor Elwood," Kat greeted the woman with a smile and went to take her usual seat. So what was the lesson today, hmm? Kat was interested. At least, she hoped it would be interesting like the recent lessons they had prior to now. The Slytherin sat there while waiting for the others to arrive. |
Eventhough Beezus had seemingly slacked off in regards to what was happening to her peers, particularly their personal lives because she had her own to think of and OWLs were just around the corner, it didn't escape her that Professor Elwood had not been around as much as she did. She wondered curiously what was it that held the Professor for in Beezus' case, there was a situation, that was, if anything, was worsening rather than improving. She hoped the woman wasn't going through something of the same sort. The brunette was rather fond of Professor Elwood. No matter how everyone else noted how appropriately odd she could be. By this time, she had entered the classroom and was more than glad that it was bright and full of light. Darkness made her head ache these days, that would by far explain the lack of sleep, yea? Anyhow. With a rather broad smile, Beezus bowed a tad at the Professor. "Professor Elwood, good day." Ah, yes. The day had been starting go and hopefully, would stay that way until she was back under her sheets. Hmm. Box. Boxes. Her dark brown eyes flickered from the woman and the rest of the faces in the room before she descended down on her usual seat. Expectantly, she wanted to know what the boxes were for, what was inside, if there was any, and how they were using those. But patience for now. |
Minerva walked up to the Divination Tower. She loved this class, but hated the walk, it was so far from her previous lesson. Getting into the room she looked around and smiled, "Hello Professor, hope you are doing well today." Then Minerva turned and looked around smiling at a few of her friends, she found a place and pulled out her parchment and quill for the beginning of class. She wondered what they might be doing today, there was never a boring moment in this class and she always enjoyed what they learned, it was all so fascinating, no matter what some others thought. |
Divination. Ella might not always understand what they were talking about or how it was applicable to their lives but she did enjoy the class. It was entertaining and interesting and she almost always learned something new. That was pretty awesome, the leaning new things bit. "Hello Professor, nice to see you!" She greeted cheerfully, giving the woman a smile before heading towards a seat in the middle of the room. Smiles and waves were given to the people she knew as well. |
Ethan climbed the later into the classroom for Divination class. Not that he'd admit it to anyone, but he had kind of missed having this class. And now that he thought about it, he realized he hadn't seen Professor Elwood around the castle much lately. he hoped everything was okay with her... "Hello, Professor," he greeted her with a smile as he walked past. "Hope you're doing well.." Ethan then walked to his usual seat next to his girlfriend, giving her a smile and a hello before he sat down. He then took out his quill and parchment to ready himself for the lesson. |
Belle climbed up the stairs to the Divination Tower. Belle enjoyed this class, even though this was out of her reach, she loved to learn new aspects and theories. Belle saw Ethan and Minnie beat her to the tower. Belle waved to both of them.Belle sat down next to Minnie and Ethan. She took out her quill and notebook ready to know what this lesson had in store. Belle then noticed the professor, "Good morning Professor. How are you doing today?" |
As she climbed the steps to the Divination tower Nell wondered what they would be learning about today. This wasn't one of her favorite classes nor one of her best but it was always interesting to say the least. Walking through the door she took in the Professor, the boxes, and the familiar face. Smiling she waved to the Professor. "Howdy Professor. Hope your well." Turning she went and sat down next to Ethan. "Is this seat taken?" |
DID ANYONE ORDER A HYPER BoG CANDIDATE?? Nolan was PROBABLY more excited about this lessons than the students. His old classroom! His old subject! OH THE MEMORIES! He was beaming as he walked into the room and let out a sigh of relief at the familiar smell of the classroom. It looked different, obviously, which was to be expected, but he finally felt like he was back in his element as he stepped into the room. It actually HURT him a bit, knowing he wasn't in charge of this classroom anymore. Sigh. Still, he smiled and hurried over to the professor and held out a hand for a shake. "Professor Elwood, such a pleasure! Nolan Reynolds, former Divination professor and board of governors candidate. I'm here to evaluate if you don't mind. Where shall I sit?" he asked. His mind was going a mile a minute trying to figure out what he was going to be witnessing. Tea leaves? Crystal orbs? TAROT CARDS?! xxx Alex nearly walked into the excitable Board of Governors candidate as he went to make his way to his seat. Geez, this guy was extra hyper to be here today. Oh wait, wasn't he the Divination Professor at one point? Ok that made sense. Alex just hoped he wouldn't be super annoying and jittery in the back the whole time, he was NOT in the mood today since he hadn't gotten his coffee into his system yet... Taking a sip from his travel mug, he took a seat near the back, eyeing up the boxes. hmmmm, what would they be up to today? |
Jory had been wondering when they would be having another Divination class and was pleased when he saw the notice for this lesson on their notice board. "Hi good day, Professor Elwood,'' he greeted when he entered the classroom. He looked around and spotted the boxes on each desk. His curiosity rose at one. But he would have to wait. The Puffer headed for an empty desk and took a seat. |
Mo was ECSTATIC that Divination was starting up again. Professor Pretty, plus a class he was actually somehow interested in and good at? That was like... maths that equaled Mo attending class with great eagerness. Then again, he was eager about most classes. "Hiya, Professor. You look well." He waved cheerfully at the woman before slipping into his seat. |
"Hello, Professor!" Sky said, slipping into the classroom and into a seat. And then noticed that the professor's desk was missing. Hmm.... that was odd. As were the boxes on each of their desks. But, the note on the board says not to mind them.... which made her want to mind it. In fact, she wanted to poke it. *POKE POKE* |
Divination was... actually really fun. Plus Professor Elwood was super nice and Blue still hadn't forgotten that time she'd lent her a book in first year. So Blue wasn't dreading this class, nope. She had a wiiiiide smile on her face as she strolled into the room, going up to the professor's desk first, "Hello Professor. Lovely day, isn't it?" before sliding into an available seat. BOXES. Boxes were...fun? In a way. Nope actually they weren't fun at all. Unless you hid in one and scared people. That was fun. Not boxes by themselves. Blue poked it with her wand, trying to see if there was a rattle or a creature inside but then she saw the message on the blackboard and hid her wand quickly. You didn't see anything. |
Callie slowly lifted the lid of the tiny box of her own on the table by her chair and smiled at its contents. This was going to be a fun lesson. Just then the trapdoor opened up and students began to file into the classroom. Many of the kids welcomed her back and asked how she was doing--one even mentioned how good she was looking. That made her smile even brighter. "Thank you everyone, I actually have been in the Castle the past few weeks I've only just been rather busy with personal research. Nothing major just trying to figure some things out." the blonde professor said airily. It was nothing they should worry themselves with, besides she was back now. Quote:
Standing from her chair she shook the man's hand, her many bracelets ringing merrily. "Mr. Reynolds, it's a pleasure to have you in class--although I'm sure what I have planned today will be nothing new to you." She giggled nervously. Why did she need an evaluation? Surely Anastasia was behind this. It was utterly ridiculous and for it to be a former professor of HER subject?! "If you'd like to take a seat right over there, that would be fine. I may have you help me out if that would be okay." She pointed her wand at a desk and moved it to a spot a few feet from her own chair. She was torn, she was nervous about him watching her but she also wanted to get on his good side so that if he did get elected to the Board he would be sure to include Divination on the list of things to help fund in the future. ----------- Now that it seemed the class was about full, Professor Elwood stood and approached the trapdoor to close it. "Alright everyone, please settle down, pull out a piece of parchment and then turn your attention up to the front please." She gestured to Nolan, the man standing nearby. "Today we have the pleasure of having a guest with us. Please welcome former Divination Professor and current Board of Governors candidate Nolan Reynolds." She allowed for a few seconds of clapping or whatever and then readied herself to start the lesson. "Now class, what comes to mind when I say the following words: suits, Major and Minor Arcana, and spreads?" Not a terribly hard question but certainly a place to start. OOC: Class has now begun, anyone posting their charries arriving from this post on will have points deducted for being late. |
Alyssa clapped to welcome the visior before immediately raising her hand when Profesor Elwood mentioned those words. "Professor I'm thinking of Tarot Cards. The tarot is comprised of Minor Arcana cards in four suits and Major Arcana cards, which are not in suits...and I guess you have to spread the cards when you do a reading?" 'Could we be possibly learning how to use them today?Alyssa thought to herself getting excited. |

Minerva listened as Professor Elwood started class. Oh an old professor was going to be there today. This might be fun, Minerva liked seeing what the members did before wanting to be board members. Then the first question, Minerva tried to think about the words. They seemed very familiar, but why couldn't she place what they were about. Then she thought about suit.. That was the easiest one, putting up her hand.. "Professor, I'm not completely sure with all, but suit could have something to do with cards. So maybe the rest have something to do with reading cards." |
Belle clapped politely for their guest. It seemed like the board of govenors was a big deal to the school. She remembered having these guests in HOM and Muggle Studies. Belle shrugged it off and heard the professor ask a question, "what comes to mind when I say the following words: suits, Major and Minor Arcana, and spreads?" Belle thought this out. She had heard the word Arcana used before. Belle raised her hand, "Professor i know Arcana means profound secret, the secrets they found were used to explain the universe." That is all Belle knew for now. |
Lex continued poking at her box as the Professor went on speaking. What was in here??? She barely looked up when they were told to greet the man that had walked in with them. By now she'd gotten use to them being just about everywhere and didn't see the need to acknowledge them every time. Now, see, if one of them came into the class offering candy she would happily greet them a million times. Something to think about. She finally stopped poking at it when the Professor began calling out some words. Hold on... Suits...Major and Minor... She tilted her head curiously at the woman. "Professor...are we learning about Professor Airey today?" The man was always going on about a suit or another and major and minor were those things in the sky. She remembered. Yup. She did. Strange that they'd be learning about a Professor though...but then...Divination was strange so she wouldn't question it. |
