| | |  Divination Lesson 1
Divination Lesson 1 A new term meant a new term full of new students (and returning ones) and new subjects to be discovered. Calista had decided to keep the Divination classroom like it was decorated at the end of the year before, with the heavy curtains pulled back from the windows to allow fresh air and sunlight fill the room and land on the raised platform of desks arranged in a semi-circle facing her desk.
She had placed a chocolate frog on each desk as a welcome back to school gift but they shouldn't get used to it, she wasn't made of money. The blonde had written her name on the board with a flick of her wand and was now sitting, crossed-legged on her desk waiting for the students to popped their heads and then bodies through the trapdoor.
OOC: The lesson won't begin for another 6-7 hours from this post so there is plenty of time to post your student arriving. The lesson has BEGUN so no arriving late please, just pretend you've been there all along. Be sure to read the Classroom rules before posting, which are located here in the main Divination Sub-Forum. Divination by footprints?! Was that even possible? Because it sounded fun. And did it work on everything? Would she be able to predict the future of a deer or something just by its footsteps? Because... that would be BRILLIANT.
Oooh! And FIELD TRIP! Anya excitedly grabbed her things. She stuffed her bag and ripped open her chocolate frog. Yeah... she needed a field trip snack. She then grabbed Jake by the hand.
"Come on slowpoke. Let's go look at footprints!" Weirdly enough, not the weirdest thing she'd ever said to him.

She wasn't very familiar with that one. But working with prints sounded good...long as they weren't working with chocolate frog footprints. Ugh. Awful thought.
Picking up her things and returning them inside her bag, she followed the Professor and the crowd of her classmates outside, sucking on one sugar quill as she went. Out and about!

...Footprints. Okay. There were a ton of ways to do divination. It was sort of overwhelming.
But. If they were going to have class by the lake, Jake could deal.
He busied himself with packing up his things, not wanting to rush the trapdoor. But he was hurried when he heard someone call him a slowpoke and looked up to see Anya. "Sure," he agreed as if he had a choice as he stood up. He shouldered his bag and snatched the remainder of his chocolate frog off his desk. "Footprints," he repeated, grinning at Anya as he led her to exit the classroom. | |

Well this type of Divination sounded interesting even though Nigel knew almost nothing about it. Nigel grabbed his things and followed the class to where they were going.
Hopefully they were going somewhere interesting because then maybe Nigel would pay attention just a bit more.

Although Tiffany was not that good at or you could say absolutely bad at it, she was still excited about learning outdoors because she could just have some fresh air and maybe that would make things easier to be understood. She had been studying Divination throughout the whole summer in case she forgot everything after the holiday and it would just make her result a lot worse. Hopefully Divination would be nice to her this year. "Ornithomancy,"she raised her hand with a big grin on her face. "Isn't it something to do with the birds?"She asked. If yes, then they can do this outside while observing the movements of birds when they could all lie onto the grass. And her fellow lioness was right, perhaps they could just take a nap there. Heh.

Sarah had raised her hand, yet one by one the students before her took all her answers so she changed her answer until she evdntually gave u and put her hand down. Quote:

Once she had written the definition, Calista stepped towards the trapdoor and lifted it open. "Alright, grab your things and follow me to the edge of the Lake." And they were off!! MUSH! The way that they were all panting on the way up here just proved that they needed the exercise, she had to walk up them all the time, she lived up here. Sarah had never heard of that. Footprints where used for forsenic investigations but divantion? Sarah grabbed her things while she wandered about it. Foot prints usually tel the past, like what the person was wearing, how heavy it was, what part of the foot they walk on and also mainly what directions they are heading. She began to follow the teacher out.

Divination using footprints?
Okay he never heard about that thing before but he's really keen to go outside, breath the fresh air and reading the footprints? Messer put back his parchment and quill to his bag before he followed the Professor and his classmate outside.

That sounded like it had something to do with the word itchy. Mellow. But Ness trusted or more like hoped that this kind of divination would be far from that. It seemed like it would though, seeing as it was to do with prints and what could be itchy about that?
Heh. Nessie was ready for whatever this Divination was. The red head grabbed her things and just like the Professor instructed she followed everyone towards the lake.
