Who would have guessed this lesson was turning into something interesting? Nina wasn't close to figure out today's lesson but at least her answer hadn't been wrong. Before she could leave she quickly wrote down the definition and then closed her notebook and put it back again in her bag. Now off to the lake! |
Ahh, okay. That should be...interesting, Eliza thought as she jotted down the type of divination they were actually going to be trying out today. SPOILER!!: Eliza's Notes Sweeping her bookbag off of the floor, she went to follow the rest of the students to the lake. |
Oooh, so they were doing some form of divination with footprints. No wonder they needed to get up and walk ALL they way down to the grounds. Siiiigh. Okay. she wouldn't complain. Peyton had, after all, promised her dad she wouldn't complain Here goes...ALL THE WAY DOWN she went...*step, step, steppity-step* |

Also? Challenge Accepted. It was like the professor didn't know him at all! Oh yeah. She didn't. Well she soon would. West would totally write all about his mancy. It'd be fantastic. Quote:
Those were easy enough to find. West got up bag slung over his shoulder, and followed Theo out, already mentally writing his contribution to the literature. |
Belle was excited to be learning about Ichnomancy - Divination by prints/footprint. That seemed pretty cool. As the professor instructed them go get their things, Belle got her bag and all her belongings and followed her to the lake. Belle was also confident that her answer was pretty close. She almost had it. |
Ichnomancy? Ethan raised an eyebrow at the word. He had just glazed over this form of Divination in his OWL studies. He guessed it was a good thing he hadn't been tested on it. Perhaps today's lesson would be somewhat interesting and the boy vaguely wondered if they'd be looking at their own footprints or animal tracks. Gathering up his things, the sixth year followed the rest of the class out of the room and down the ladder. He supposed having class outside wouldn't be half bad. Just wished they'd met out there instead of coming here for no reason. |
Westomancy? Seriously? She wouldn't even comment on that one and that was because she didn't feel like it. At the moment she had SEVEN chocolate frogs in her lap and that was all she needed in the world. So no, she wasn't disappointed that they wouldn't be shooting anything. Nope. It was fine. Besides, it would have been had to shoot while she was stuffing her face with chocolate frogs. Ichnomancy? Lex eyed the word as she munched on one of them. It wasn't a familiar word....well, no time to dwell on it; they were going to the lake! Securing her chocolate frogs, she grabbed her bag and slung it over her shoulder then made her way out of the class behind everyone else. The chocolate would probably make a mess of her parchments in her bag but that was a small price to pay when one wanted to keep them safe from the outside world while she made the trek down to the lake. |
Mika slung her bag over her shoulder and still was fighting to keep her laughter at bay. For one she was happy to be going outside. And pfft, c'mon who wouldn't want to see west get his little duckies in a row and see what he could make them do? She'd of course take notes and keep it as the utter fact of his awesomeness. |
On purpose Xavier walked up the spiral staircase leading to the Divination classroom and was just about to open the rather strange trap door. But then she heard the divination teacher,(she didn't know her name) telling everyone that the lesson would continue at the lake. Great, she was late to her first lesson of divination. But wait. She was still on the other side of the trapdoor, now why should she open the door and announce she was late. All the students were already turning around and were about to leave for the lake to continue the lesson, so why not turn around and walk in that direction as if she was here the whole time? Hey, who knows, maybe the professor didn't remember all the faces of the new students and she might not even notice she was late. Xavier inwardly laughed at the idea and turned around to do just that. |
Taylor was going to say the same thing as Harvey but stayed quiet. She wrote down Ichnomancy - prints or footprints then picked her things up and headed outside as she was told to do. |
Westmancy did sound cool, but since West was gone... it wasn't worth mentioning. Mo packed up his bag and considered why his answer was wrong. Some people drank tea indoors, but they always liked to take tea in the garden at home, and THAT was where his mother would read the leaves. See? Definitely an outdoor activity. Why was pretty-professor-face being so awfully literal? |
Susan quickly wrote down what the professor had said about Ichnomancy and followed her out the classroom. She wanted to take good notes so she would be able to study. Susan hoped that they didn't have to get their feet dirty. She wasn't a fan of mud or being dirty for that matter. |
Text Cut: Professor Elwood Harvey listened to all the answers before the professor told them whether they were right or wrong. He then watched as the professor wrote what they would be doing outside on the board as well as the definition which he wrote down before he smiled as she told them they would be going out.. to the lake?!!? he looked at Ella.. he was sure this would bring alot of memories for them both. Good memories that could pain them a bit but that was part of life now. He grabbed his bag and followed everyone down to the lake. |
Alice EYED the word on the board. Ichnomancy? Was that even real? She supposed so, 'cause a PROFESSOR was teaching them about it. It wasn't familiar, but then again, what was? Other than Quidditch terms, of course. With a sigh, the lioness dragged her bag across the floor and out of the tower, following the others out to the Lake. |

Hmm...sounded weird to her. Then again, when had Divination ever been a good, believable subject? Heh. Quote:
Oh, wait. Class wasn't over. They were just moving somewhere else. Bahhh... Sierra quickly packed up her things and then exited out the trap door. |
Eh? She didn't disprove his Nimbusmancy only West's Mancy. He may be well on his way to creating a form of fortune telling after all! Look out Clouds Oakey has found another use for you aside from bursting through you with his Quidditch Broom! He grabbed his things and hurried down the trapdoor with the rest of the class. |
Another way to study this rubbish lesson... great. What made her ever more happy was that now they had to go outside. Wouldn't it have been easier for them just to go outside in the first place? Ugh! Stairs... they were evil! There was no sense in Hannah giving her guess considering that they were clearly moving on. She gathered her belongings and followed the crowd down to the lake. She had better not get wet... or dirty! |
WHAT?!?!? They were going back outside?!?!? That little revelation was enough to make Sky stop chewing on her next to last bite of chocolate frog. She was going to have to drag herself alllll the way back downstairs to the grounds. Not a happy snake. Not at all. She shoved the rest of her chocolate frog in her mouth, chewed and swallowed it quickly and Scourgifyed her hands. Once her hands nice and dechocolated she reluctantly got up, grabbed her stuff and set off down the ladder and the stairs beyond. |
Nerida couldn't resit she giggled at the West divination. It sounded cool...Nice imagination...Well Professor Elwood didn't think so. She followed Professor Elwood with her eyes as she walked up to the board, why didn't she just use magic? Way more easier! In her opinion... WHAT?? What in the heck was Ichnomancy...She looked at the finished writing now...Oh...Divination by prints and footprints...Sounded cool? Maybe it would be cooler when they actually did it... She wrote down the word and definition into her notes. Edge of the lake they went... It was decided she hated them making them walk all the way down when they walked all the way up! She collected her things and followed the professor out of the classroom. |

Um, cool! Selina had NEVER heard of that form of Divination before and she always liked to learn new things about The redhead packed up her things and followed Elwood with the rest of the students. THEY WERE GOING ON AN ADVENTURE.... yeah they were. |
Dylan was glad that they would be going outside now, he had been itching to go out! And also the professor didnt say his answer was wrong so he was glad that she didnt say anything. He then quickly scribbled down what she wrote on the board onto a scrap piece of parchment, and then grabbing his stuff he ran out the trapdoor and followed people to the lake. |
Minerva listened and smiled a bit when Professor Elwood said that her answer could be correct. She had remembered doing them in other classes with other professors. Oh they were doing something with footprints, that sounded like fun. As Minerva took her things and got ready to head to the lake she thought about what a footprint could mean. Did the size of the foot have anything to do with it or was it jut maybe the shape or the way it printed. This was going to be interesting. |
Oh! They were going outside to divine footprints? Aquila eagerly got up and clumsily collected her things, taking another glance at the little boxes she had before pocketing them. Maybe she'd have a bit more chance to figure them out when they're outside? Unless she gets distracted by everything else again... |
