Calista smiled back at the new Gryffindor Prefect as he entered the room. "Hello to you too Jake, congratulations on the Prefect's badge. My summer was good, I hope your's was the same?" It was good to see that even the new student leaders were taking her class.

Continuing to sit right there cross-legged on the desk she addressed them all. "Welcome everyone to the first Divination Lesson of the term. I'm Professor Elwood for those of you who are new to Hogwarts or just Divination this term and I am excited to lead you all into the Beyond this year." She paused to allow that awesome and exciting journey prospect to sink in.

She wiggled after a second of quiet thinking after receiving an unexpected vibe but then spoke once more as if nothing had happened. "Right so I know we are all up here in the Divination Tower but I want today's lesson to be held outdoors since it is so nice on the Grounds." And she might get a glimpse of the Groundskeeper while out there The blonde had wanted them all to meet here for a few reasons, to get the role done correctly, make sure everyone knew where the classroom and her office were and to not give away the topic of the lesson before they even started. And no, torturing the kids by making them walk up all the stairs and then back down them to the Grounds was not one of the reasons she was starting here.

"So to begin, I would like you all to think of some forms of Divination we could be doing outside today and share them with the class. No answers are stupid answers." Elwood said cheerfully as she gestured fluidly to the windows. Taaaa-daaaa, OUTDOORS!

OOC: The lesson has officially begun, so no arriving late please. If you post now just pretend your character has been there all along. Thanks!

"Thanks," Jake responded brightly to the congratulations. He nodded to the kind-of-question. "My summer was really good, thanks." And now he was really happy to be back at school. The chocolate frog in class might have something... or, well, a lot, to do with that.

...Except... they were going to the grounds? Jake walked up all the stairs for nothing? He looked down at his desk, frowning slightly for a second before looking back up. Raising his hand, he answered. "Xylomancy?" Was that what it was called? He remembered learning something back at Durmstrang... "It's using twigs."

SPOILER!!: Replies

It appeared she did not have to wait too long for the kids to begin showing up. The first person to peek their head into the room from the door in the floor was a little, unfamiliar Gryffindor. "Hi there, welcome to Divination sweetie." Callie was happy to see that she had chosen a seat up front.

Alyssa? She was back? Huh.

Professor Elwood smiled and answered the Hufflepuff's greeting. "It's good to see you again too Miss Potter, I was pleased with your OWL." She was happy that even though the girl had taken time off of school that she was able to still work on her exams.

After the girl took her seat she had thanked her for the candy. "Not a problem dear, just a welcome back gift."

"Good morning to you too Laura." The blonde smiled at the girl but was suddenly a bit worried about the smile and rummaging in her bag the mischievous Puff was doing. Oh she had gotten her chocolates, how ironic.

"Ah thank you, when you take your seat you'll see I got you some as well. Call it a fair trade?" She grinned. The apology gift was received and she nodded along at the question of her summer.

The next person to enter the classroom was one of the redhead Quidditch Captains...and she was obviously very excited about the chocolate frogs. "No worry, Captain Dixon they're just my little welcome back gifts to you guys so yes you may eat them. I know how wonderful chocolate is so I understand your excitement." It was a fine snack after all.

What was that cheeky grin for?

Calista smiled back at the new Gryffindor Prefect as he entered the room. "Hello to you too Jake, congratulations on the Prefect's badge. My summer was good, I hope your's was the same?" It was good to see that even the new student leaders were taking her class.

And the first Claw to arrive, how exciting.

"Good morning Mr. McCarthy, it's good to see you again. I was very happy to see your OWL mark." She grinned. It was just wonderful to see the students succeed in her class. "My summer was lovely, I hope your's was too."

"Hello there." Callie greeted the very cheerful Snake. The girl was usually quite chipper but today she seemed overly excited. First day back jitters or she perhaps just was really excited for Divination (which Callie hoped was the case because she was too).

And who was this young thing?

Calista couldn't help but notice the girl seemed a tad more clueless than the others and it was just adorable really. "Good morning to you too dear." She said with a quick wink from her perch on the desk. She almost giggled at the sight of the young Ravenclaw trying to figure out the chocolate frog.

Another Hufflepuff, Professor Elwood had noticed how they seemed to really enjoy her lessons for some reason.

"Hello there, I did have quite a good summer." Better than last year's by a mile. "And you're welcome, I thought it would be a nice way of welcoming you all back." Everyone could use a little sweet before a lesson.

"Hello dear, and I did thank you." Her summer had been great but she was glad to be back and ready to teach all of them about the Noble Art of Divination.

"Hello Miss Wheatborn, it's good to see you again. My summer was lovely, thanks for asking." Callie watched her cheerfully pick out a seat and then thank her for the candy.

A rather confused looking Hufflepuff arrived next from the trapdoor and greeted her. "Hello, welcome. And my summer was awesome, thanks for asking." She chuckled. It was so good to be back around all of them again, kids were just so funny. It was like they weren't even trying.

"You're welcome." The chocolate seemed to be good in their books.

"Hi dear." Callie said as another Claw entered the class and took a seat. This one had been the first to ask if the treats on the desks were for them to enjoy or for part of the lesson and she was happy to see that she was a traditional Ravenclaw, always questioning things. "Yes, those are for you guys to snack on before we get started or later if you'd prefer. Just a little welcome and welcome back gift."

Ooh a familiar face. "Welcome back Bliss, good to see you again. My holiday was great thanks." She smiled and waved to the girl as she took a seat.

This boy was not a happy camper today, Elwood could tell. She wondered what had gotten his wand in a knot but she wasn't going to push him. "Hello there." She greeted him anyways.

Another obviously new student. "Hello there, welcome to Hogwarts." Professor Elwood said as she watched the girl take her chair.

Ah the seventh year Hufflepuff Prefect was next to arrive. "Welcome back Belle, and my summer was wonderful, thank you." She watched her take her seat, excited to see her reaction to the chocolate frog....one she had hoped for. "You're absolutely welcome, dear."

Selina was here! Professor Elwood waved excitedly as the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain--wait, no she had a new badge on her robes. What was that....? Oh! "Good morning Selina and I guess congratulations are in order as well." She was Head Girl, how exciting. She's had two of her favorite students in that position now.

Just as she was going to suggest they meet for lemonade in her office soon now that term had started Selina had shrieked at something, causing Elwood to stand up from her desk and hop over to the girl. "What's wrong, Selina are you okay?!" She hadn't seen the chocolate frog being thrown across the room but she had heard the screams of getting the chocolate away from her and such." Oh. Whoops?

"I'm soooo sorry dear, I didn't know you weren't a fan of chocolate." Who didn't like chocolate? It was quite strange really. "Here..." she said going back to her desk and pulling out a licorice wand and giving it to the freaked Head Girl. "Have this instead." And now hopefully people who had been about to enter the room hadn't gotten scared and run off.

Still standing near Selina to ensure that she didn't have another blow-up and pass out or something over her little idea of welcoming them all back, Callie heard another Lion greet her. "Hello dear..." she said a tad distracted, giving her a small wave. She had joined her and Selina however and had taken the chocolate frog and seemed to have solved the problem. Oh thank Merlin. "Thanks." She said quietly as she went to take her spot back on top of the desl.

And there was little Miss Cambridge. "Hello Miss Cambridge good to see you again--" and she too was freaking out over the chocolate except this time it was a good freak out. A bit taken aback but still very excited that she liked it, Calista told her she was welcome and then awkwardly tried to ignore as she and the other Gryffinfor who had taken the frog from Selina fought over what to do with it.

She didn't have extras.

Another new student, or at least to Divination entered the classroom next. Callie hadn't seen her around the Castle but that didn't really mean much. But she was introducing herself...and had an apple for her? Aww.

"Thanks Miss Pillsbury and I'm glad, I've got a bunch of fun stuff planned." She had never been brought an apple before but she felt even more like a real teacher now. WOOT!

Aww another eager newbie to Divination.

Callie smiled and nodded as the little first year introduced herself and thanked her for the chocolate. "It's nice to meet you and you are more than welcome for the treat. I hope you enjoy it and the lesson."

"Welcome back Miss Bishop and my summer was wonderful thanks for asking." Professor Elwood greeted the returning Puff as she entered the class and took her seat. "And you're quite welcome." For the chocolate, she was happy she had given it to them apart for Selina who had freaked out.

"Jory, welcome back! Happy with your OWL mark?" She had been glad to see what he had received and her asking if he had been the same was just her way of saying good work. "Glad to see you taking Divination on for NEWT. Welcome back." She grinned and gave him a 'not a problem' wave at mention of the chocolate.

A young Lion entered next and like the others greeted her and thanked her for the chocolate frog. "Hello there and you're welcome." she said quickly. She looked at the clock on the wall. They were getting close to start time.

A new Puff it seemed.

"Welcome Susan, it's nice to meet you too." She had been told she was a nice person to meet, yep she had. Hopefully the girl would enjoy the lesson she had planned. "Oh, you're welcome, just a welcome treat for you all."

The next person to enter the tower classroom was male Greingoth twin, Alex. "Hello Alex." Callie waved to him at his seat. She wondered where his sister was and if she would be joining them today.

And then another Lion, this one wearing Selina's old Captian badge. "Good day Alice, congrats on the Captainship." She had some big shoes to fill and she had good faith in her. The blonde giggled as she watched Alice take the chocolate frogs from her friends and steal the cards. *snort*

"Hello there Eliza, welcome back." She waved at the Ravenclaw as she entered the class and took a seat. "You're welcome." She said in reply to the chocolate comment. The girl had always given great answers during class so hopefully today's lesson wouldn't be an exception.

Hmmm, no greeting?

Fine. Calista wasn't going to say anything either. Instead she just gave the Slyterin a quick little nod as she passed the desk.

"Good morning Anya." Professor Elwood said as she waved to the most recently arrived Gryffindor. She had attended her lessons for a while now and had shown some good work in the past. "And they are, you're more than welcome to start snacking on it now."

"Welcome, welcome Oakey." Callie eyed the Hufflepuff as he entered the room. He had a shiney new badge on his robes too but she didn't say anything just yet because he had taken a seat beside the new Ravenclaw girl who hadn't known what to do with her chocolate frog. Aww he was giving her his!? That Prefect badge was sooo right on him, it was!

"My summer was well and good day." Callie waved at the newest Ravenclaw to enter and take a seat.

"Welcome back Oichi." Elwood greeted the Lion as she entered the class and found a seat.

"Good morning." Calista wasn't so sure the girl really wanted to be there or cared who she was according to the way she had addressed her but no matter, she would have fun. Yep, she would.

"Hi there." The Divination professor was getting anxious to start the lesson already.

"Hello there dear. Welcome." The blonde watched the girl take her seat and admire the chocolate frog before setting up her notes. "You're welcome."

"Welcome, welcome." Callie greeted the girl with a bright smile and a wave. She placed a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear as she looked at the clock. She was brought back to looking at the girl when she thanked her for the chocolate. "Oh you're welcome, hope you like it."

The rungs on the ladder leading up to the classroom were making noise as another student made their way up through it. The girl who appeared was a Snake and more than out of breath. "Are you alright dear?" What had she run all the way up from the Dungeons?!

And she was just about to start her lesson. She pulled her wand out from a pocket in her flowwy skirt to conjure the trapdoor shut but one more head popped through, the one belonging to the Sytherin Quidditch Captain, one who had received an O on his Divination OWL. EEK!

"Ah, glad to see you could make it Mr. Montmorency." She grinned as he pulled the rest of himself in and took his seat. She shut the door behind him and returned to the desk. "You're welcome dear and Good morning." She returned his greeting. He seemed happy this morning.

So the classroom was rather full when the clock struck the time for the lesson to begin. Calista Elwood was very pleased with the amount of students in attendance and hoped that they would all stay on to tackle the subject throughout the term.

Continuing to sit right there cross-legged on the desk she addressed them all. "Welcome everyone to the first Divination Lesson of the term. I'm Professor Elwood for those of you who are new to Hogwarts or just Divination this term and I am excited to lead you all into the Beyond this year." "Right so I know we are all up here in the Divination Tower but I want today's lesson to be held outdoors since it is so nice on the Grounds." Lex grinned widely when Alice threw all the chocolate frogs in her lap. It didn't bother her in the least bit that the girl took the cards. Pfft. Nope. You couldn't eat those you know.

Just as she was about to start devouring one she felt another one land on her lap...

What the kneazle..?

NOT THAT SHE WAS COMPLAINING!

Oh! It was Mo. He earned himself a big BEAAAAAM for his generosity. One could never have too many chocolate frogs and he obviously knew that. "THANKS!"

Nooooow she could focus on the Professor and her ques--they were going outside?!?!?! YES!! "Professor, does this mean we get to shoot things with arrows again???"

"Thank you, Professor Elwood," the lioness replied, beaming at the lady. MHM, she had a badge. And it was all shiny. She felt all proud inside, but it didn't last long, because soon enough, everyone was discussing weird studies of Divination that she had no clue about. A certain way to make someone feel uncomfortable, no? "Isn't there some kind of Divination involving twigs, Professor?" she questioned, raising her hand to speak. "I thought it was called.. um.. xylophonomancy or something."

OH. OH NO WAIT. It was xylomancy. Darn it.

Oh, well. She'd let that one go. There were still other ideas out there, right? "And there's some form consisting of reading bird's actions.. something like.." Alice rubbed her temples, wracking her brain for an answer. "Or.. Ornittamolancy.. NO. NO. It's.. um.. Ornithomancy?!" Well? Was that one right? Her fingers were crossed. "And then.. if we could find birds EGGS.. couldn't we do Of.. Ova.. Ovomancy? Something to do with yolks?"

Minerva smiled at her cousin as she came into class, excited to see Susan in classes. As class began Minerva sat up to get ready to listen, oh outside. Hmm Minerva thought about last term when they went out that was fun. She listened as someone else said about the arrows though. She remembered making the wagons as well, but she didn't know any professor that had done the same lesson yet since she had been at Hogwarts, so she assumed they wouldn't be doing that either.

Thinking Minerva put her hand up, "Professor could be be looking at cloud formation or bird formation." She knew they both meant something with Divinations, because she remembered learning about them with other professors, so it seemed like a good guess since it was an outside activity.

Zhenya was glad to be in Divination with the lovely Professor Elwood. She didn't fully understand it, but it was still fun. But outdoors? She remembered making the karts outdoors in this lesson, but she didn't think that was what they would be doing. She had great memories of classes outdoors, though. They were always fun. And different.

Now, forms of divination? Her mouth opened and closed a few times. She had no idea... She slowly raised her hand, "Er Professor could you perhaps be able to use the elements outdoors, say soil, flowers, air... that sort of stuff, for Divination?" She knew it wasn't a FORM but it was all she had. She didn't want to give NO answer.

TakemetotheBurrow 01-08-2013 04:09 AM

They were meant to be going outside? BEAM. That was great because Ells would much rather be out in the sunshine! Not...that she minded where she was seated right now. Blush. Anyways...

A type of divination they might be doing outdoors? Well...lots of her classmates had already suggested things she would have picked too. Oh! Like the cloud watching one, Ella liked that idea. She wouldn't mind laying in the grass watching the clouds all class. She tried her best to think of other options too...Hm

"Professor, what about anthomancy? That's erm...the one using flowers, yeah?" Ella liked flowers. ^____^

Nina stuffed her chocolate frog in her pocket so she could eat it later and put attention to the class. First of all the professor wanted to held it outside yay! and second she was asking questions already. Nina heard some of the answers and thought of other kinds of divination. Hmm...

The girl raised her hand "Maybe entomancy?" said Nina. That was the name, right? "By using insects" she added.

West was both suspicious and intrigued when it came to free chocolate. It took him a few minutes to decide to eat it because there were enough witnesses that if it was poisoned he'd probably be saved and Elwood would go to Azkaban.

Also, free chocolate frog.

Oh? And nothing is a stupid answer? WELL THEN.

West put his hand up.

"Westomancy." Paaause. "The one where you do whatever West tells you to do." That was him, fyi. "You can do that anywhere. Inside or outside."

Just saying.

Today's lesson to be held outdoors since it is so nice on the Grounds.

Outdoors? Yes, please!

Forms of Divination that they could do outdoors? There's the cloud watching thingy but some of his classmate already mentioned that. What else? Hmm. "What about the one that using trees, Professor?" What's they called it again? "Dendromancy?" Or was it Treemancy? No he's pretty sure its dendromancy.

There was SO much excitement with the whole chocolate frog nonsense, but she tried really hard to take deep, even breaths. If Kurumi was here the two of them would have held each other and cried to console one another because, well, they had a similar fear. Dumb, ruddy pieces of chocolate. WHY did it have to be all complicated? Why couldn't it just be chocolate? No, chocolate frogs had to get all fancy and terrifying.

But she was breathing and reciting her little calming technique poem that Kurumi had written them to breath. Chocolate frogs can not hurt you... not a bit... they only attack you if you throw a fit... so take a breath and remember this... THROW THEM IN THE SUN SO THOSE LITTLE BUTTHEADS MELT!

...See? Nice and calming. With her breath under control, she opened her eyes and smiled at Elwood, "I'm okay now... OH LICORICE WAND!" Yum. Yeah, she could totally rock that candy. It was so yummy. With her mouth full of licorice, she said, "Thanks Professor."

With everyone around her eating chocolate frogs, Selina kept reminding herself that she was safe in her bubble. She would just throw them all out in the sun to die if the chocolate frogs came anywhere near her. Terrifying little buggers. But she reigned herself back in to pay attention to Elwood. When the woman said that they would be going outdoors Selina beamed, THAT MEANT THAT THE CHOCOLATE WOULD MELT. Awesome.

Oh and she also had to answer a form of divination that was commonly associated with the outdoors. Well, Selina could think of a ton of them off of the top of her head, but Elwood was usually really creative and did stuff outside of the box. Not that she needed to... AHEM. Because of reasons.

Raising her hand, she answered, "Are we going to be studying austromancy?" It was the use of winds in Divination... it was kind of cool form of a Divination. She had read about it over the summer in her, well, outside studies... yeah.

Thanks!

Mika of course laughed a bit when she heard West's response. Smiling still she raised her hand WAY into the air as Calista asked for forms of Divinations you can use outside.

"How about nephomancy Professor Elwood?" She asked her smile still bright. "As nephomancy is a form of Aeromancy - where you use cloud formations in nephomancy to detect patterns and possible outcomes." She smiled. "I know that Aeromancy studies both the wind patterns and cloud shapes and what not...its super super fun." She smiled. Of course it was fun because thats what she had been told about when her mum healed fwoopers that summer.

The lesson would be outside...So they had to go all the way downstairs...Professor Elwood was totally trying to torture them! Form of divination that we could do out side. She let the question sink in and let her mind start turning.... Nerida slowly raised her hand she wasn't quite sure what the form was called...Dactya something... Hopefully she would remember... "
Maybe we could use Dacty....Dactylomancy. It needs the light of sun so it can be interpreted..."
Had she said it right she really hoped she had said it right!

Peyton blinked at the chocolate frog in front over her. She doesn't like chocolate. Not one bit...Weeeell, maybe a little bit but only on ice cream, but even that was rare. So, she just stared at the box, a slight pout on her lips. Why couldn't it be a Sugar Quill?

One thing the red head couldn't get over was all those stairs she had to climb to get here. Especially from ALL the way from the dungeons. Waaaah! Dear Merlin, how was she going to survive this whole year? Why couldn't they install elevators or those cool moving stair she likes playing on in muggle malls? It'd make this Baltazar's life waaaay easier.

Peyton was flicking at the corners of the chocolate frog pack, making it spin on her desk. Then something Professor Elwood said caught her attention and she slowly raised her head.

O___O

They were going back down those HORRIBLE stairs right after her legs were resting. Was this a a joke?... And would someone give her and piggy-back ride, pleeeease? ^__^

Hmm. She'd keep this chocolate frog and give it to someone else in exchange of a piggy-back ride. Hehe.

Ooooh! Question tiiiime! Peyton listened to a few of her classmates before answering. Divination was not this third year's area. Goooosh. Everything ended with 'ancy'. You'd think that'd make it easier for Peyton to remember the titles of Divination forms, but unfortunately, one thing went through one ear and came out the other.

Positive side to this. She managed to remember one...sort of. Peyton raised her hand and said, "Erm, there's...Alec...mancy... No, wait. It's Alectryomancy..." Yeah. That was it, riiiight???

An outdoors-indoors lesson? And a professor who was sitting on her desk? This was turning out to be a really fun class. Plus it was Divination, how could you not like a class that teaches you how to tell your future? Right?

At the professor's question. James took a minute to think of an answer before raising his hand "Professor, can Astronmancy be counted? Its like Astrology but it only focuses on the movement of the stars - unlike Astrology which also looks at planets and stuff."

Yup. And stuff.

Before she knew it, the class had begun and the Professor was already addressing the class about today's lesson. When she asked what forms of Divination they could be studying outdoors, Violet paused and had to think for a moment. And in the process people were already beginning to answer her. It was then that Violet had two possibilities in her head, but she couldn't just pick one. Why not suggest both, make herself feel better at least.

She raised her hand and asked,"Maybe we could be studying the form of Xylomancy..or maybe Daphnomancy?" Violet wasn't feeling too confident with them, but at least she couldn't be wrong for at least trying to participate in class?

VII!! Nessie gave the girl a smile as the blonde popped into the classroom. It was nice to see her again, but no chit-chat for now the lesson was just about to begin and Ness wanted to nom her chocolate frog instead of speaking.

Nom. Nom. Nom.

The Hufflepuff sat in her desk as she ate her chocolate frog with a wide smile on her face. Happy she was and right now Professor Elwood had officially become one of her favorite Professors just because of these chocolate frogs. Yes chocolate frogs had the power to do just that.

Divination outside? Hmmm....The red head pouted for a short well. "Professor, maybe something with birds, or the clouds, or the water in the lake?" Yeah no she wasn't going to use all those long worded terminology. Simple wording was easier.

This was Divinations wasn't it?

He continued on into class and nodded to Professor Elwood "Good Day Professor." He said as he grabbed a seat by a new looking Ravenclaw girl. He eyed his desk and noticed he had a Chocolate Frog on his desk as well as every desk aside from Selina's in the class.

He gave his frog a disgusted look as you would a normal frog that was sitting on your desk and picked it up in his hands. He didn't like Chocolate Frogs and didn't much care for the cards inside them. He looked over to his side and saw that the Ravenclaw girl was infatuated with hers. "Here you can have mine too." He extended his arm across the aisle placed his Chocolate Frog on her desk.

A wink and a smile to go with the greeting back. See this is why this little girl just loved women Professors other than the fact that they were the only kinds she had her whole life. Just when she was pulling out a corner of the box there was this SHRIEKING coming from the red-badged-cookie-person, which startled the young Claw so much so that she dropped the box momentarily back on the table...

The red-badged-cookie-shrieking-person apparently didnt like the little boxes.

Aquila picked it up again, now even more curious what was inside them. She has discovered nothing but good things when she got to Hogwarts-- what could possibly be about these boxes that got the red-head be so upset about? It was then that she looked up and realized that a yellow robed person joined her at her table--and ohh look! He had a shiny badge too!

Soulful brown eyes widens when he gave his little box to her. "Oh Thank you!" she replied gratefully, even if she still had no clue what was in them. And it was rather clear on her face too, as she kept turning the boxes over between her hands.

*****

Oh, they were going outside for a lesson. Wonderful! Just like it was back home. But now a question what are they going to learn outside? Others have mentioned the divination of the clouds, but there was something she knew that the Priestesses practiced with regularity. Raising her hand she replied "Professor Elwood.... there is something we do back home where we would study the winds-- we would listen to it and observe the direction and strength of where its blowing, and throw dust or seeds to study wind patterns. My teacher said its called Anemoscopy."

Kat was totally liking Divination now. She had free chocolate. Ain't that cool? The blonde took a bite from her frog. She bit the head because it was cool and she totally wanted to just bite it off. Not that she was being mean to frogs cos she had a toad. B.O.B. was in her dorm though, and if they get locked out AGAIn then she will totally sue the school for the loss of animal's lives. Professor Newlin should DO something to prevent this.

So Divination that can be done outside. "Ambulomancy, Professor?" Kat said. It could be. "It's a kind of divination that involves walking and we are going to go outside right?" They'll be walking... but running was better. And FLYING was the best. Quidditch, FTW.

Laura smiled as she took a chocolate frog. "Thanks Professor." Laura then went and sat down, she really wanted to make sure everything was looking good, she then listened to the Professor and smiled as she raised her hands. "We could use cards outside, so I would saying we could show people there future by using cards outside.

...been here all along. :3

.....o__o

......................O___________O.......

......There was a chocolate frog on her desk. A CHOCOLATE frog! Gulping, the Ravenclaw did her best to edge away from the treat as far as she could go. It was generous of Professor Elwood to give them some for her lesson but Beezus just can't....she couldn't have it....she wouldn't have it! It was chocolate, for Merlin's sake! And chocolate was a major NO NO if she didn't want to grow antlers. Ugh, she was allergic to it!

And so, eyeing it as though it was the most terrifying thing in the world right now, she subconsciously lent her ears when the woman spoke up and welcome them.

She was going to lead them to the Beyond? Meh. If there were chocolate frogs to there, then the Ravenclaw won't go. No, thank you.

Outdoors, she said? Beezus flailed inwardly. It was the bestest idea right now, anything to be away from the chocolate frogs which apparently were all over the classroom, in each desks....she saw their number when she took a glance about the room. SHUUUUDDER. Hopefully...see Mr. Groundskeeper too.

Then came the guessing game again.

Meh. She'd been noticing this lately. Their Professors seem to like the prospect of letting them guess over what the lesson for the day would be. Unfortunately, she wasn't fond of those....not really. It didn't stop her, however, from raising her hand. "Ambulomancy, Professor? The divination by taking a walk?" WELL...she did say they were heading out. And no answers were stupid as well. Although Beezus couldn't help but snort at West's guess. Slytherins can be really conceited.

Oh, and....can they please go NOW? Away from the chocolate frog on her desk? Yes? Yes?

DuckyLinJi 01-08-2013 12:44 PM

Daichi was relieved that the professor decided not to do an *entrance* with fire touching the ceiling this time. The Snake would have left the classroom and never come back again. Okay, that was a sort of lie because he HAD to take these classes but still.

He ate silently from the chocolate frog and quickly checked the care that came with it. When the chocolate was gone in his stomach and he checked the room and found his Co.-Prefect, Beezus acting strange. He raised an eyebrow at the girl but couldn't say anything more for class begun.

Divination they could do outside? Wait! Did that mean they had to go DOWNSTAIRS again?! But the Slytherin's AND Hufflepuff's just came from that direction! Daichi wanted to say *the-why-do-we-have-to-go-downstairs-again ?!* Divination. But he quickly remembered he was wearing a badge on his robe so he couldn't. Mweh!

"wood Divination perhaps, professor?" he asked after having raised his hand.

Spike eyed the chocolate frog on his desk. Was this normal? Sure, Professor Elwood had done some pretty awesome lesson in the past, but she was giving out chocolate now.

What was this bribery?

He would have just shrugged, and eaten it anyway, but his Ravenclaw co-Prefect had caught his attention by scooting away from her desk. With a knowing look, Spike pulled a paper bag from his pocket, and deftly swapped it with the frog. "Swapsies?" he said to Beezus with a wink. She'd probably guess before looking that the bag contained sugar quills. Spike's pockets always contained some sort of candy (he needed it to get through the dull classes), and it'd become a bit of a joke that he was one of her main sources of sugar quills.

And with that sorted, he turned back to the Professor. All guesses were being accepted? Well, in that case Spike could be hopefully inventive, right? With a grin, Spike raised his hand. "Arachnimancy, Professor? The art of using the walking patterns of spiders to understand the future?"

...or was that only relevant if there was a Basilisk nearby?

Everyone was saying big words.

Guuuuh, these were the worst kind of lessons. Big worded lessons. Theo raised his hand anyway, cos there was one answer that he was pretty sure on. "Looking in crystal balls?" That was so obvious, he was surprised that no one else had said it.

Too busy showing off with their fancy words.

Or maybe someone had said it but he wasn't listening.

Well Nigel did not know a lot about Divination and less about what you could do with it outside. He knew about crystal balls and tarot cards and that was about it.

"Using Tarot Cards?"

You could use them outside. All you needed was a pack of cards you could carry or fit in a coat pocket.

O.O

Someone should really take that chocolate frog away from her. Asap! Or she'd stay that way....flinching, frozen in the edge of her seat, eyeing that treat with terror in her eyes. She glanced around and saw Dai-Dai looking at her.

Help!"

....Daaaaaaaiiiiichiiiiiiii, heeeeeeeeeeelp.

The brunette was about to open her mouth and voice out her thoughts when her co-Prefect was suddenly at her side, taking the chocolate frog. Beezus let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding in before accepting the paper bag he was handing out to her.

She nodded at the swapping idea. Not that she had any choice left anyway since he had the chocolate frog already and she was holding unto the paper bag now. Eh. Those were sugar quills for sure. Beaming, she mouthed a 'thank you' at him. She was so lucky that he was there.

Really. He just saved her.
