Elise pulled the scarf around her neck up a little to cover her nose and mouth a little. She got cold really easily and falling sick during the Quidditch season was never a good thing. Making sure she looked presentable because Bellaire forced habits that were hard to get rid of, Elise tossed her ponytail over her shoulder and walked into the classroom.

Finding it as usual, Elise simply smiled. Yay for normalcy! Tripping over a purple mat near the door, Elise cringed and fixed it with her foot. Right. All aligned and good. "Good day, Professor Romanos," she beamed, before taking a mat where she usually sat and putting her bag on the mat next to her.

Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Ella really liked this class and it had nothing to do with the fact that she freaked Messy out completely when she worked with him in here. Nope, nothing at all. ^__^ The blonde wore a small smile and an extra jumper as she entered the chilly arena, surprised to see she appeared to be one of the first to arrive. "Hello Professor!" She greeted cheerfully before plopping down on the nearest purple mat. She then eyed the little spider sculpture curiously as she waited for her classmates to arrive.

Kat loved Defense Against the Dark Arts. The lessons were always entertaining yet educational. Remember that lesson about duel spells? Kat had absorbed a lot of information from that lesson. Useful spells that she could use on some people you know, if they decided to be a butt to her and mess with her friends. As always, Kat was pretty hyped to be in this class. "Hi Professor," she greeted Professor Romanos and smiled at her.

And then look! Her bestie had saved her a seat. Kat went over to where Elise was sitting and settled beside her. All good. "Hey," she told her bestie as a greeting. Now... Kat had her attention at the spider sculpture owned by the Professor. Were they gonna duplicate that? Kat wanted one of those.

Alyssa walked into the DADA classroom and was glad to see that the purple mats were back on the floor. 'Cool Yoga time again.' Alyssa thought to herself before she spotted Professor Romanos seated on the stands. 'Or maybe no yoga since she's not already sitting on the mat.' Alyssa thought again.

Walking up to the DADA Professor, Alyssa smiled in greeting."Hello Professor. It's a nice day today isn't it?" she said before she felt something tapping against her foot. Looking down, Alyssa saw that it was the already familiar metallic spider that was tapping. "Hey there little guy. It's a good thing I love spiders or you would have been flattened by now." Alyssa laughed as she watched the spider scamper back towards the Professor.

Turning around, she walked over to an empty mat, placed her backpack on the floor next to it, before sitting down and crossing her feet across her lap. Now would be a good time to do some relaxation exercises while she waited for class to start.

Addy was feeling a bit sentimental as she made her way into her final DADA lesson of her Hogwarts career. BITTERSWEET. Smiling at the Professor as she entered she said, "Good day, Professor." Catching a glimpse of the spider statue she smiled once more, a bit of a secret smile and cast a look around for her Spike. Hehe.

Folding herself down onto a nearby mat she settled her school bag next to her and followed the spider statue with a grin in place. Perhaps Skywalker would enjoy a friend like that. Hmmm.

Why was it this chilly, Bliss pondered, and pulled her clock tighter around herself. Granted, it was quite early in the year, so there would still be time for the weather to warm up. She trudged up to Professor Romanos' classroom, while her bag swung freely on her shoulder. Defense Against the Dark Arts. This class was a growing love of her. Ever since the whole trophy thing, Bliss had become a tougher and stronger person. Now it was time to put her new self to practise.

"Hello, Professor. I hope you're well," Bliss greeted when she finally reached the classroom. She made her way over to her usual seat and plonked herself down on the purple mat, placing her bag down beside her. She chuckled faintly at the spider. Right. Nice, cosy and ready to start the lesson.

"The mats are here,'' Jory thought as soon as he entered the classroom. "Hi Professor,'' he greeted the woman with a grin. He was about to go grab the mat next to Alyssa who he had just spotted when he suddenly felt something knocking against his foot. Startled, he looked down and that's when he saw the spider. Not a real one, of course.

"Oh, hello there,'' the boy said. Friendly little spider. He watched the spider scuttle off before heading over in Alyssa's direction.

"Hallo, Lyssa,'' he said as he made himself comfortable on the mat next to her. Like her, he adjusted himself and sat cross legged.

Alyssa opened her eyes and looked up when she heard Jory greet her. "Oh hi Jory. Glad to see that you managed to get here before class started. I wonder what the Professor has for us to do today. I hope we get to duel." she grinned at him as he sat down next to her.

Defense against the dark arts...

It was one of the classes Belle found interesting. She loved the hands on work she got to do. She even loved the dueling aspect. This was going to be her last lesson...Belle could not believe it was spring time already @.@

As she made it into the room, she breathed in the spring air. She loved the smell. It reminded her of home. Then she noticed the professor. "Good morning Professor, how are you on this lovely day?" Belle was in such a good mood.

She made her way to her desk, she got out her notebook and quill and started to doodle.

As Alyssa sat on the mat waiting for class to start, she decided that now was a good a time as any to test out her Fameludos Draught. Digging inside her backpack, she found the small vial containing the draught. Then she got up from the mat she was sitting and turned to her fellow classmates and Professor Romanos.

"Everybody, I’m going to test out the Fameludos Draught that I made in Potions class. It gives the effect of my clothes burning. But don’t worry, if I brewed it correctly, I won’t get burned. So please don’t worry or freak out." Alyssa told everyone warning them what she was about to do.

"Professor, to put out the flames, we just use water, and I can do that. But just in case something happens…and nothing is going to happen… I just wanted you to know how to put it out." Alyssa told her DADA Professor. This was the reason why she was doing her first test in the presence of a staff; so that they could assist if she needed help.

Alyssa walked over to an empty area where there were no flammable objects around her and opening up the stopper, she poured some of the contents of the vial onto the bottom of her class robes, before sealing the vial back up again. She figured that if something got burned, it might as well be her shoes.

As she watched the liquid spill onto her robes, Alyssa got her wand ready. The moment the liquid came into contact with her robes, it immediately ignited into flames. Alyssa held her breath as she watched the flames burn hoping that she had correctly brewed the potion. When she realized that she couldn’t feel any heat…or any burning sensation, Alyssa breathed a sigh of relief.

'Okay this part of the test worked. Let’s hope the next one does too.' Alyssa thought to herself before pointing her wand down at the flames and saying, "Aguamenti". Water immediately sprinkled out from her wand and the flames were immediately dowsed

Alyssa quickly knelt down and inspected her robes to make sure that they weren't singed. Merlin! she wished that she had thought about that before setting it on fire. She didn't what excuse she would give to her Mom if it had indeed been burnt. 'Uh! Why is it burned? Because the Potions Mistress told us to?' Alyssa didn't think that her mother would believe her even if it WAS the truth.

But she didn't have to worry because after close inspection, she saw that her robes were fine. Breathing another sigh of relief, Alyssa grinned at the Professor before making her way back to her mat. "Thank you for the assist Professor. I’m glad that I didn’t need you to help put out the flames after all." Alyssa thanked her before sitting back on her mat and placing the vial securely back into her backpack.

DADA!!!!!!!!

Alexa practically bolted into the arena, ready for the class and hoping to learn like a million more hexes before it was over, ahem, just saying. The grin on her face wasn't masked by anything and it helped that she had snuck herself a few chocolate frogs before heading to class. Pfft, the Healer was out of her mind if she thought Lex would stop eating candy. There were still nice people in the world who would give her some of theirs.

"Hello Professor!" She said, beaming at the woman before noticing that thing. Heeeeeey, you took him back to class!" Lex dumped her bag at a mat then walked up to the little spider looking thing. It was in a class they had last term wasn't he...?

"Are we climbing the walls again?"

She took out her wand and began poking the little guy--not hard just poking, regular, normal, no way she could hurt him and get in trouble for it, poking

The purple mats were epic. Mo had heard rumors of yoga at one point, and he kinda hoped yoga was happening again today. Just because he wanted to know what exactly that entailed. And why it was so close to the word yogurt and yogi. He wanted to know, in fact, if he could twist into a pretzel while wearing a white cotton bathrobe and eating frozen goodness.

"Hey, Professor," she got a smile and a wave as Mo took a seat.

Jake made his way to the classroom slowly, in no hurry to get there. He liked Defense Against the Dark Arts... he was just feeling somewhat lazy today, which didn't make for a lot of excitement for the class.

Still, he smiled as he walked into the room. "Hello, Professor," he greeted with a wave. He looked around the room quickly before choosing a mat and taking a seat.

As soon as she caught sight of the purple mats, Alice was cringing. Yoga wasn't too bad, on account of she was already bendy and flexible, but it wasn't like she enjoyed it. Nevertheless, she took a seat silently, waving at Professor Romanos and her little spider sculpture thing from all the way across the room. That thing had been in the class before, right?

Also. What exactly would happen if someone tried to squish an animated sculpture thing? Not that she was going to TRY.. just curious.

Ezra entered the classroom just as someone set themselves on fire. He supposed he ought to have been shocked, but everyone else either acted like it was perfectly normal or flat out didn't care, so he followed their example, kind of, and pretended nothing out of ordinary had happened.

He supposed this was a perfectly normal reaction, too, since the person put out their own fire themselves and sat down. How nice for her.

The boy occupied a purple mat close to the window, and stretched out his hand, watching the sunlight reflect on it, which in return made the freckles on his hand stand out. Ezra frowned because he didn't dislike freckles, but also didn't want them on his person.

"Oh." He remembered he hadn't greeted the professor. Sheepish smile. "Hello, professor." There.

Anya entered the classroom. And a quick look around almost made her want to leave. It was a yoga day. For something that was supposed to relieve stress... she was considerably more stressed by... being in deformed positions in front of her peers.

Bleh.

"Hello Professor." she greeted with a small smile. She's still be polite. She looked down briefly after some movement. Oh. Hey weird spider thing. Now. To find a seat mat.

She took a seat and nodded a small greeting to Jake and Alice. They looked about as excited as she did.

Sarah was klooking forward to yet another lesson dueling. She liked knowning how to duel.. it made her feel more prepared and protected! She strode into the room purpos. "Good day professor" she greeted
She then went to sit on a purple mat and flung her neck back so the sunshine fell on her face... GLORIOUS!

Ethan walked into class for the next DADA lesson, flames catching his eye upon his entrance. Whoa.. Alyssa was on fire? Instinctively, the boy pulled out his wand.. but stopped when he saw how calm the Hufflepuff was. In fact, the rest of the class was not even batting an eye, including the professor.

Oh. It was that Fameludos potion, wasn't it? Yeah.. as soon as he saw the girl calmly put the fire out, he put his own wand away and walked further inside. That was only slightly embarrassing.

"Good day, Professor," he politely greeted Romanos as he walked past her. Then he turned to find an unoccupied mat. Sigh. He was used to them, but it didn't mean he liked that part of class any more than he did on his first day here. Finding an empty mat, the 17 year old took a seat, crossing his legs and propping his elbow on a knee.

After that particularly fascinating demonstration from Alyssa, which also made the professor a little tense, Medea took a glance at her watch, noting the time. Time just flew by once they got closer to the end of the term, didn't it? Giving her hello's and proper responses to the student's questions, and eyeing young Miss Cambridge, the professor stood up and waved her wand to the arena doors, having them shut while the metal spider crawled up her leg and onto her shoulder. Anyone else coming in now and she'd absolutely know.

"Alright, everyone, I do hope you're ready to move today." And by move, she didn't mean yoga, despite having the mats out. She just wanted them to have something comfy to sit on beside the hard floor. "And no, we will not be climbing the walls today to answer...one of your question's."

"Does anyone know what we are doing today?" Let's see which ones were paying attention before.

Alyssa quickly sat up when Professor Romanos began class.

'What will we be doing today? Well in the last class we learned three spells that can be used in dueling. So maybe we are.... ' Alyssa thought to herself before grinning. Whatever it was she knew that it was going to be fun.

So she raised her hand and answered.

"Professor I remember that you mentioned that we would be learning how to practise formal dueling. So is that what we will be doing in this lesson?" Alyssa asked.

Damon looked up at the professor as she started to speak. He really was in a good mood before he came into the class, Defense Against the Dark Arts always sucked his good mood away, he knew how to defend himself. He didn't need a class to teach him what he'd be dealing with in the real world, he already knew for the most part.

And did she seriously just ask if the students knew what was going on today? Isn't that why they were there? To learn? But oh well, "I'm guessing it has something to do with that thing that's on your shoulder Professor Romanos?" He asked in a polite tone, not letting any of his irritation with the class come out.

Oh, close, but just a few steps too far.

At least he guessed. "Not quite, Mister Mercada."

It was just a moment later did Medea smile and nod. "Yes, we will be practicing a few formal duels today, but more importantly, the spells that you'll be actively using during that time." It was at this point she started to move around the students, walking between the mats and glancing to make sure none of them were falling asleep. "If you've done your homework, you'll have a decent understanding of some of the shield charms we'll be working on today before we get into the duels, but for those who have not... pay extra close attention right now."

"Can anyone name one shield spell and it's effects, please?"

Jory raised his hand. "There's Contego, Professor,'' he said. "It provides a shield around the object or person targeted though it can disappear after taking a few hits.'' Good. He still managed to remember something form the homework.

Shield Charms? Ella knew a lot about those now. She'd done quite a lot of research given their last assignment and so her hand shot up into the air, waiting to be called on.

"Professor, there's Impiriano. This particular shield spell creates a one way barrier. You can cast through the spell but it blocks things from getting in which is nice, although it's easily worn down by magic."
