Brisk cold air flowed into the arena from the semi-open windows, no fire or blankets in sight for any hopes of it warming up. The pillow styled mats and desks were absent from their places on the floor from previous lessons, however, if your senses were awake during the moment you entered the arena, one could have noticed the ground seemed to be a bit more soft and squishy than usual. Other than the rather bare and chilly feeling of the room, Professor Romanos was standing next to the stands, looking rather cheerful and unfazed by the cold. Come in and take a seat, whether it be on the ground, on the stands, or just plain stand if you so wish. The lesson will, of course, start soon.

Ella smiled a little at Professor Romanos, shrugging. "Welcome, Professor." And her cheeks may or may not have been a bit pink for being thanked. Just saying.
Switching legs, Ella continued to stretch as best she could, trying to ignore the cold. She raised her eyebrow at the question, not having thought about that before. Why was this one classified as a hex? Hmmmm.
"Is it because this particular spell causes discomfort to the person that gets stuck?"

Bliss honestly didn't know the answer to this. All she could do was guess. She raised her hand before speaking. "Is it classified as a hex because it used offensively?" She asked. Like, it wouldn't be used for good purposes. "It's not used for good or helpful reasons, as say, a permanent sticking charm would be." Maybe? Perhaps some people would use the Permanent Sticking Charm for mean reasons, but that wasn't what it had been designed for. Unlike the Stickfast Hex, which clearly HAD been designed as a spell to use on enemies.

"Hexes cause you discomfort, right?" Alex said, raising his hand into the air as he spoke. "So I'm guessing that in addition to sticking your feet to the floor, it makes it painful to try and free yourself from the spell." he predicted.
Again, sadistic. Shudder.

Eliza had to think for a moment. She wasn't really sure still about jinxes and hexes and curses and what made them different. She knew they had talked about it but she still was a little fuzzy. "Is it a hex because it's worse than a jinx, meaning it's even more uncomfortable or negative in intentions than a jinx?"

West stuck his hand up.
"Well it only actually works on feet and stuff doesn't it? Feet and shoes and like, I think maybe where a body contacts the ground, but supposedly only shoes. So it would really not be all that useful in another way, and charms are supposed to be useful so its not really one of those. And, I heard it actually conjures a kind of sticky ectoplasm, kind of like what ghosts leave behind, which is another reason it wouldn't be classed as 'useful' since if you stick stuff on purpose like a poster on a wall or something, you probably don't want a sticky green goo visible around the edges. So its a conjuring spell in a way, but again doesn't really conjure anything useful in a day to day sense." West thought a little more and then summed up, "So really it couldn't be anything but a hex, because a hex is bad and has negative intent but isn't overly dangerous. " Yup she knew that he was an advocate of the Corruptia Vlakh definitions.
And exercise? He didn't mind that. West started jogging on the spot. Nothing strange about that in this class.

No new paint job? Really? But she was pretty sure something was off in this class...
Well, if the Professor was sure the room had the same colour then she was completely stumped. She didn't know what else to think. For a minute she sat playing with the somewhat squishier floor...maybe the ceiling got lower...?

Medea paused for a moment, waiting for anyone who'd like to get up and start doing so. "Firstly, can anyone tell me what a stickfast hex does?
"YES!" More practical stuff! This meant none of that boring stuff, right? Right? RIGHT???? She couldn't help but grin at this. They'd be moving about and getting warm. Getting warm was pretty important but really she more cared about the getting physical and moving around part. Adrenaline, awesome stuff.
She hopped off the floor and quickly began doing some stretches. That's what they were supposed to be doing. The Professor said so herself and she wasn't being...fig...ura...tive. Nope. She was being completely serious so the girl would stretch--
Sweet Circe!
Did the Professor just ask about a hex?????? She snapped up, now standing straight again and simply STARED. Yeah the woman had asked a question but for right now...yeah.............
Cue more STARING.

It was good that the others had decided to answer the question because not only was she still in awe that they might actually be learning something she'd been dying to learn since she got here, she also didn't know the answer.
She supposed she had to snap out of it sooner or later but MERLIN, a hex! No one wanted to teach her one of those--well Dora offered but that came with conditions and rules and reading and she didn't feel like reading that book anymore. It had very rubbish concepts in it and she was only on the first page!!!!
This time when the question was asked she felt she had an answer.
"Well, hexes are usually stuff done with no good intentions right? Sticking someone's feet to the ground obviously isn't to make their day, it'd more be to annoy them or teach them a lesson. No good intentions there--actually...that depends on how you look at it if you ask me. Casting that thing would be for VERY good intentions if I were to cast it." Idiots needed to be taught lessons too and she would be happy to oblige. They would be so grateful afterwards. She was SUCH a giver. "But I guess generally the castor means no good by it." Shrug.

Alice stood up almost immediately. She still didn't want to be an ice cube, thank you very much. "It's a stickfast hex, right? So I bet it makes someone stick to something. And fast." Good answer, yeah? Well, she used LOGIC, and it was right, anyway. Someone had said something about shoes. Sticking. And it probably worked super fast, too, as most spells did. That right there was how amazing answers were given, mhm.

"There are types of spells that have bad intent, right professor?" Three, unless there were more. But, really, she could only think of three at the moment. Maybe her brain had already frozen and was just sloshing around in her head? Probably. "Jinxes, hexes, and curses. And hexes are darker than jinxes, but better than curses. So this one, does its maliciousness kind of fall into that category?" MAYBE that made sense. Maybe."Or, I guess, if you knew it wasn't as bad as a curse and you were trying to guess if it was a jinx or not, you could tell that it was a hex. 'Cause, y'know, jinxes have counter-jinxes and anti-jinxes, right? Does the stickfast hex have one of those?" If it didn't, there was a good explanation right there.
And if it did.. Professor Romanos could just ignore that WHOLE answer, mmk?

Alyssa thought to herself. Why would the stickfast hex be called a hex and not a charm? She decided to hazard a guess and raised her hand.
"Professor is it called a hex because it does something to someone else. In this case it prevents someone from catching up with you. So it's like a spell that is not wanted by the person it's targeted at, but very much wanted by the caster." Alyssa hoped she made sense.
"It's a hex because it inhibits someone's actions but it does not necessarily have to cause harm to the person who gets hit by it, like West said."

"Maybe Skurge." West wondered out loud. "Its not a counterjinx, but it would counter the sticky part on account of its a scouring charm specifically for ectoplasm."Jogjogjogjogjogjogjogjog. And jinxes were more permanent than hexes, and the stickfast wasn't all that permanent. Like Alice said about counters and stuff. West looked toward the professor for a verdict.

Warming up! Good to know that Professor Romanos realized that most of the students here were almost freezing because of the cold weather. The Head Boy then stood up and did some small stretching. At least a little warming up could make himself warm.. and less sleepy. The caffeine hadn't reacted so much to make him awake.
So, today they would practice spells. Good to hear that, because with his current condition, Gary was sure that theorical class could make himself fell asleep at the class and he didn't want to do that. As a Head Boy, he shouldn't break the rules, right? So he tried.
Stickfast hex? "That's a hex that can make someone's feet got stuck on the ground, right?" He answered as he raised his hand.

Why this one was classified as a hex?
He did remember about the difference of hex, jinx and curse. All of them were affiliated by dark magic. Curse is the darkest one among them and jinx is the less darker. Yeah he remembered now. They had learn about them before, hadn't they?
The head boy tried to answer and raised his hand again. "It's classified as hex, because it is bad and moderately suffering but not as dangerous as curse, right? Usually hex can be used as defensive." He spoke again.

And Miss Quinn. And...Miss Castell." And... "And Mister Montmorency. And Mister Katharos." Goodness, they all were sleepy heads today, taking their time to get down here.
Alas, there was a break in the students arriving, giving Medea time to reluctantly do what must be done. In a seconds time, her wand was in her hand and being flicked over to the double doors of the arena, closing them. There last remaining source of heat, however small it was, had disappeared. Moving to the center of the room, seeing as most of the students were sitting on the stands and it'd be easier for her to see them all, and vice versa, the professor cleared her throat and smiled. How bothered would they be if she didn't focus so much making sure her accent wasn't there?

Grinning sorta at her returned greeting, Dylan slowly got to his feet. He was shaky...due to the extra cushiony floor...Not to mention his head was killing him. Yea, this was a disaster waiting to happen. The Slytherin could just sense it.
Doing some basic stretches, though...Dylan attempted to start limbering up...

"Hello Professor." he said. He noticed Dylan who wasn't to far from where he was sitting. The Slytherin Captain looked...off. "He nudged the snake, on his side. "you okay Dyl?"
-----------
Get up! but, he just got down?
Ah well, Oakey stood up and started stretching his legs... which wasn't so smart because the squishy floor made him loose balance and he fell over as he lifted his leg up. "Oof!"
Whoops he bumped right into Dylan now. Way to go Oakey, show concern for the snake then fall on him!
Hearing (and feeling) Oakey's concern had him turning his head in the Hufflepuff Prefect's direction. What? Was it that obvious something was wrong...? "I'm fine, Gunter..." Although it was clear something was off about the Slytherin Captain...For one, he NEVER appeared disheveled in lessons. No, Dylan was extremely particular about his appearance. If that wasn't enough of a warning sign...His hair was all over the place. That also NEVER happened. The Slytherin shrugged, though...throwing off his concern and got back to working his hamstrings.
...That was until someone was crashing into him. Getting knocked face first to the cushioned floor, Dylan flailed, kicking to get put upright again. Immediately drawing his wand, he turned to see who had cute ideas. Merlin, he was NOT in the mood for this today...
Seeing Oakey, though...the Slytherin signed. "You are a danger to yourself and others, Gunter." Glare.
Tucking his wand back away, because he and Oak were Bros and he couldn't very well hex him, Dylan got back to stretching...

Taking a few deep breaths, he switched legs...bending down...and then rising back up. Rotating his arms, he heard the question.
Switching from his arms to twisting around for his back, Dylan sighed. "Hexes are meant to cause some discomfort...but aren't really meant to do damage. I'm guessing the stickfast hex would be more of a nuisance...Like if someone were walking and another person put it on their feet. They'd trip and fall. That sort of thing..."

They had a good start with the answers. It showed they knew what a hex was and why spells would have been classified under that category, unfortunately, that wasn't going to be the case for today. No matter though, Medea was still pleased they spoke up. "Hexes do cause discomfort, you're right." She nodded to the three people who suggested so. "However, this case is a little tricky, depending on the definition of 'discomfort' to the victim. This spell doesn't exactly harm the victim, but can be uncomfortable in the sense that you are unable to move, leading to other potential disasters. It would lie more in the hands of 'negative intentions' as Miss Dawnsel and Miss Cambridge had suggested than any actual harm."

Honestly, the professor wasn't expecting the reason to come into play so early in the answers, but there it was. Wonderful! "Correct, Miss Ryans." Medea nodded and smiled. "Unlike most discomfort that comes with spells such as hexes, jinxes, and curses, however small or large it is, this particular spell is considered a hex due to it's usage offensively, or defensively depending as Mister Rush said, in duels. Very good."

She wouldn't have expected an answer of anything less from the Odessa's. Medea nodded slowly as he spoke, keeping in mind the points he made. "Right, it does conjure a kind of ectoplasm, not quite useful for daily routine, considering it functions merely on shoes. Additionally, it works better on some surfaces than others, so the use such a spell in any other scenario than a duel would be...well, it really is up to the person." If they wanted sticky green goo everywhere, that was up to them.
Glancing to the rest of the class, Medea continued. "Not quite the most dangerous of spells around, though can be a nuisance. As we've mentioned, it's more in the negative intent of the spell that makes it a hex than actual harmful discomfort. We will get more into this in just a second."

Medea smiled and nodded as Alice spoke, no matter if it was the correct answer she was looking for or not, however, the Gryffindor did have a good question at the end. One that young Mister Odessa decided to partially answer for her. "Skurge is indeed one of the spells you could use to counter the stickfast hex; possibly the most useful out of them all. With something like this, a conjuring spell, you can have a few different creative ways of removing the hex or... getting around it, for lack of better words."

Running his fingers through his hair some more, he continued to stretch and work his back out.
"Or to trap your opponent." Medea slipped that little part in, raising an eyebrow towards Alyssa. Mmhmmm, it was correct in what was being said though. "Yes, I highly doubt the target wouldn't so much want to be trapped in this spell, and it is quite a nuisance, you're right Mister Montmorency. Not really a damaging spell, but, in the right situation, can be...fatal. Not particularly caused by the actual spell itself though, technically speaking.
"As an overview, the stickfast hex has been labeled a hex, not due to it's damaging results, but for it's use offensively or defensively in duels. The spell itself is actually quite harmless. However, due to showing up in duels, it has been received a new category. It's charms and conjuring natures has given it other uses of course, though the lack of cleanliness and reliability it holds, it isn't a spell often used in day to day activities." After having stretched her legs and back, the professor took off her cloak and began wrapping it up.
"In fact, it isn't all that popular in duels either, yet it's become quite an advantage for those who use it. Not many people know of it's counter spells, considering finite will not work on the conjuring nature. The hex does produce a sticky green goo, similar to something called ectoplasm, upon the bottom of your shoes, making it nearly impossible for you to escape. Ectoplasm, for all who don't know, is a type of substance left behind from ghosts and poltergeists. Gives quite a field day for the non-magic folk to find this substance lying around." However amusing it may be. "Much more powerful versions of these spells will stick your feet to the ground with your shoes, but those versions are far down the line." Placing her cloak to the side and out of the way, a small shudder ran through her. Oh dear, it was freezing in here.
"But, one counter spell has been brought up, by Mister Odessa. It's called Skurge. The spell itself is designed to remove ectoplasm, or to drive away ghosts and poltergeists. Other ways of countering this spell can be removing yourself from your shoes or using the 'Glacius' spell upon them to slowly chip away the substance, but skurge is the quickest and cleanest way to rid of it. We will be practicing these two spells in just a moment, so ready yourselves." Truly, they should ready themselves. "Miss Bishop had previously given us the incantation for the stickfast hex: Colloshoo. It's wand movement is much like an uncompleted rectangle, like so."
Raising her wand, she flicked it in a rectangle like shape in mid-air, a bright yellow light following it's trace and lingering for a moment to give a clear view of the movement. "And of course, the incantation for Skurge is just like it's name: Skurge. It's wand movement is a flick upwards of the wand with a quick twirl at the end." Below the yellow glow of the stickfast hex example, Medea flicked and twirled her wand to represent the skurge spell, a red light following it's trace and lingering much like the previous for a clear example.

"Our practice of formal dueling will come later next lesson, but today, it will be every witch and wizard for themselves. There will be no partnering. Just you, your wand, and... quite a bit of enemies." Medea grinned, glancing to the entire class, a hint of mischief behind her eyes. "Practice the incantations and the wand movements first if you so wish, however, do so quickly and keep your eyes open. You may just find yourself stuck to the ground faster than you can say 'dark arts'. If you have any questions or need help, do raise your hand. For now..."

OOC: Every witch and wizard for themselves! xD You may RP yourself casting the spell upon anyone who posts in the lesson, however, I do request that you keep yourself from RPing the outcome of the casting. That will be up to the other RP'er if their character has been hit or not. Please do keep in mind of your character's abilities as always, and most importantly, have fun. If you have any questions, do ask! Whether it be IC, in my Vm's, PM me, or however you so wish. Questions are good.
The lesson will continue on with another spell sometime tomorrow. Keep an eye open for it!

Alyssa quickly noted down the spells Professor Romanos had mentioned into her journal.

Stick fast Hex:
Incantation: Colloshoo
Wand Movement: flick in a rectangle like shape in mid-air.
Spell color: Yellow
Counter Spells for Stickfast Hex:
Incantation: Skurge
Wand Movement: flick upwards of the wand with a quick twirl at the end.
Spell color: Red
Alyssa watched as Professor Romanos demonstrated the wand movements for both spells. 'Cool we're going to get to try them out.' Alyssa smiled thinking to herself.
But she knew that she had to first practice performing both spells' wand movements to familiarize herself with it. So she practiced the Stick Fast Hex spell first. Taking out her wand she flicked it in mid-air across to the right, then down and then across and then back up not quite meeting where she had originally started from. She practiced the incomplete rectangular shape wand movement a couple of times until her movements became fluid.
Then she switched to the counter spell's wand movement. With her wand, she did a flick upwards followed by a quick twirl at the end. Flick upwards and then twirl...Flick upwards and then quick twirl.
Then holstering her wand for the moment, she practiced the incantations.
Alyssa then took out her wand and looked around, 'Now who will be willing to be my first victim.' Alyssa thought to herself before she spotted a familiar face. 'Jory!! Guess you're it pal.' Alyssa thought to herself trying to stifle her giggles.
Walking behind him trying to go unnoticed, she pointed her wand at Jory, concentrated on the Stick Fast Hex, and what she wanted the spell to do and flicking her wand to form an almost complete rectangular shape in the air, she said,"COLLOSHOO".
A yellow beam shot out and headed for Jory. Alyssa waited to see what happened next.
. "Yes, the hex does make one's shoes stick to the floor, causing it's victim to be unable to move. However, there are quite a few different sticking spells, but, this one in particular happens to be classified as a hex. Does anyone know why?"[/color]
Sarah thought it would be a hex as though it may cause the victim a bit of discomfort it would not harm them. Perhaps it was intent as well, their might be siticking charm that stop objects for moving yet this one is to cause an adverse effect on the victim

Sarah decided to quickly practice, she did not want others to go on the defense so soon. She first practiced the wand movement, the nearly completed rectangle as the teacher said yet Sarah thought it looked like a C that was lying on its back. She did that a few times.
She then practiced the incantation "collushoos- uh colloshoos-- MERLIN colloshoo! colloshoo colloshoo colloshoo!"
As a reponsible person she prepared herself for the counter charm, Skurge. "Skurge, Skurge, Skurge" that was an easier one to pronounce. She then practiced the wand movement the flick upwards and a quick twirl a few times as well. Yes she was ready now.
"colloshoo" she sh said loudly followed by the wand movement with her hex directed at Bliss. What will whappen nect

Still working out his muscles, Dylan thought about what she was saying for a moment and then smirked...although the facial expression wasn't as heartfelt as it normally appeared to be. "So...if someone were to use it while...say, someone was crossing a street...and a car was speeding towards their direction and they couldn't move...Or if it was used on someone and they had something fall on them...or whatever. Indirectly fatal." Yea, the Slytherin got it now.
...Would need to be careful with this one...
Feeling that his body was as ready as it would ever be, the Captain pulled his wand and focused on the words Professor Romanoes was saying. He felt so zoned out, though...Merlin. He needed to nap during break...
Colloshoo. Check.
Skurge. Check.
Practicing both of the wand motions with squinted eyes, Dylan muttered the incantations to himself. He was basically just getting his mouth and lips used to the formation of them. Feeling as ready as he every would be, though, the Slytherin finally heard the last thing she said, causing his eyes to snap up instantly.
Every witch and wizard for themselves, eh? The Captain's eyes sought out Oakey Gunter immediately. It seemed like a different ball game when it was being insisted upon in a lesson. So, just this once...Rubbing at his face, Dylan moved back, trying to make sure his back was covered and that he could survey the room without a surprise attack. This was like paintballin' back home...
Troll. Face.
Then he spotted the Hufflepuff. Yawning, he dashed to he side, maneuvering his wand in that almost rectangle and enunciating the spell. "Colloshoo!"
....But had it hit?!

A yellow beam shot out and headed for Jory. Alyssa waited to see what happened next.
Jory decided to practice the incantations before the wand movements. First he worked on the hex's incantation. "Colloshoo, Colloshoo, Colloshoo,'' he repeated, moving his right hand up and down. He knew that was not the movement but he had no idea why he did it. "Right, I got that one, lets move on to the counter spell."Skurge, Skurge, Skurge.''
The Huffie thought he got them both right, so now, onto the wand movements! "For the hex it's an incomplete rectangle,'' he muttered as he watched the others practice it as well. He did it a few times before moving on to the counter spell's which was a upward flick and a twirl to finish off.
"Got it!'' thought the excited boy as he looked around for an unsuspecting target. But before he could even point his wand at anyone, he was distracted by the yellow beam that hit him. "Aaargh,'' he yelled as his shoes immediately stuck to the ground so that he was completely helpless at moving. He looked around for the caster and spotted Alyssa watching him much too keenly.
"Lyssa!'' Jory called. "This has your name written all over it!'' He grinned. She had gotten him. "Well done, though. You got it on your first try.''He pointed his wand at his shoes. "Skurge!'' he exclaimed with a upwards flick and a twirl of his wand. A red beam followed the wand movement. "I'll get you back for this,'' he told Alyssa as he felt his shoes unsticking. He noticed she was now grinning and looking at the other students. "Colloshoo!'' Incomplete rectangular movement and the yellow beam shot towards his friend.
Laura had no idea who to get so she just took out her wand, the person who dared attack her first would be the person that got attacked by her, she didn't care who it was, she wasn't going to go after one of her friends though unless they got her, and she seriously didn't want to go after an older student because they could do it back probably worse than she could.

Alex didn't really feel like he was in the mood for practicing, and now being a seventh year, he was sure he could handle this spell no problem. So while everyone ran around, trying to fire spells at their friends, he sat like a lion on the hunt, trying to find someone who was unsuspecting who would be his first victim.
Hehehe. This was way more fun than yoga!
He spotted a nearby Hufflepuff girl and decided she'd be a good start. He did the correct wand movement, doing an unfinished triangle in the air while yelling "Colloshoo!" Now to see if it worked!
xxxx
Nolan smiled to himself. This was definitely much more interesting than the comic book lesson! He charmed the parchment to float nearby and he pulled out his quick notes quill to write for him, so he could fully watch the class in action.
Suddenly, he realized...maybe HE was in danger. Eep! "DON'T HIT THE CANDIDATE!" he yelled before ducking behind his chair. Yes, he could observe from here.

Laura was just thinking about something when she realized she was stuck where she was. "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Laura screamed. "I can't move, what happened?" Laura then blushed oh yeah she was playing a game. "Eh I mean.. someone is going to get it." Laura was really annoyed now, but who could it be, which boy was it the one that was now trying to hide under the desk or the one just stood there,
Laura used the counter spell skurge spell and then decided to get pay back on the boy that was just stood there, he was a seventh year by the looks of it. "Your going down!!" Laura smirked at the boy. "I'm going to make it my mission to get you back." Laura giggled.

Ohhh, so that's why this spell was a hex. Ella made a mental note about its particular use in dueling and nodded her head in understanding. Got it, Professor. At the mention of ghosts, Ella looked around for Theoman but then found herself looking back down at her shoes. Yeah, she wasn't allowed to do that anymore for reasons. Shrug.
And then they were told to practice but some older students were quicker with that than anticipated, already starting to stick people's shoes to the floor. Merlin! Ella needed to practice and get on with the sticking A.S.A.P.
The blonde badger quickly and quietly made her way over to the side of the bleachers, eyes on her potential targets. One in particular caught her eye and it may or may not have been because of the hair. Just saying. Captain Dylish, heh. Ella narrowed her eyes and pointed her wand towards his feet, concentrating on what she wanted to happen. Get ready to have your shoes stuck, Captain Good-hair. And with an unfinished rectangular movement, Ella cast the hex. "Colloshoo!"

No duels for today, but they would practice the spells? Well, that wasn't a bad idea. At least less theorical class that could put him to a sleep. Old wise people said "Practice makes perfect" right? So, let's practice!
The head boy watched Professor Romanos demonstrated the incantation and wand movement. Colloshoo. He murmured repeating the incantation. "Colloshoo.. Colloshoo.. Colloshoo.." He mentioned it repeatly until he was sure that he was right. Then he took his wand and practiced the wand movement: flicking in a rectangle like shape in mid-air. He did it for many times.
Next, Gary practiced for Skurge. Again, he repeatly mentioned the incantation until he got the right one. Then the wand movement, it wasn't as simple as Colloshoo. He flicked upwards of the wand with a quick twirl at the end. See? It was quite complicated. Again, he practiced the wand movement, flicking his wands upward and quickly twirled at the end.
Now, who's his target? Gary was ready and confident enough to practice it.
Spotting a familiar she-snake who was not too far from him (Katrina) He smiled and aimed the hex to her. "COLLOSHOO!" He flicked his wand in a rectangle like shape in mid-air. A yellow lights had appeared from his wand. Was he right?

Oakey moved himself up and off of Dylan as the Snake Captain snapped at him. "Sorry Dylan. You could have moved, anyone else would have seen me coming a mile away."
So what if he was dangerous, it should be easily avoidable especially if they knew he was trouble.
He finished his stretching, but just with his arms, and back. Any stretching of his legs would cause another fall. He took note of each of the wand movements and incantations for The Stickfast hex, and the Skurge Counter-spell.
An every man for himself activity, and nowhere to hide! Oakey didn't take to practicing the the wand movements and just barely escaped a hit from Dylan, by diving out of the way. He clearly was looking for revenge! Running near the bleachers Oakey swished his wand around and trying his best to perfect the movements, and mumbled the incantations under his breathe, collosho, skurge, collosho, skurge, collosho, skurge.
Reaching the top of the bleachers, Oakey looked down at everyone. He had the high ground now! "Collosho!" Oakey spoke as he shot the hex down onto ELLA! He was sure to threw in a Sour Lemon Glare as it veered in her direction.

So, if you'd like to, and I'd recommend it, start stretching your limbs so you don't cramp up from the cold, I'd suggest doing so now."
Medea paused for a moment, waiting for anyone who'd like to get up and start doing so. "Firstly, can anyone tell me what a stickfast hex does?
That was probably the most obvious question ever. Though, of all thinks they could learn in Defense Against the Dark Arts, they learn a sort of easy hex. That was pretty lame, in Kat's opinion, but you may never know when some hex like that could come in handy, no? Kat's hand shot up in the air. "It's a hex that makes the target's shoes stick to the ground, making it unable for them to move without a certain hex-breaker." That seemed like a good answer, and besides Kat wasn't one who would bore people with long answers and long etymologies and origins... but she would dare to do that if it meant more house points showered upon her house, Slytherin.

Oh this seemed like an important and interesting question. Romanos must be lucky that the interesting level of this question for Kat was high enough to get her brain racking for the right answer. Lucky, indeed. Why a hex, and not some lame charm they could just easily pick up from a textbook or practise in Charms class with Bellaire? Again, the Slytherin's hand was up high. "The stickfast hex probably could cause suffering to the target of the spell, considering that it is a hex. A hex does cause suffering in the moderate level for its target and could also be used for defensive purposes."

Kat did her practising and she did not see any error in her incantations or her wand movements. Maybe it was time to actually find enemies a target and hit their shoes with the spell. The fifth year was just looking around when she sensed someone sending the hex at her feet. Her Quidditch reflexes, of course, were helping her. She immediately turned around and moved away from the bloody hex sent at her. Kat then searched for the sender and realised it was their head boy. "Hey, watch the feet, Garrett." Glares for you, even if her shoes were protecting her toes. It still MIGHT damage it, so to be safe. "I don't think it's a smart decision to send a hex at the Keeper." Hmph. No hexes at her, please! Her feet were dang precious and contribute a lot to her Quidditch skills. Garrett, don't even think about doing it again.
But of course, payback for Garrett because he sent the hex at her. "Colloshoo," she said and made the unfinished rectangular wand movement, sending the hex at the older Slytherin's shoes. Good luck cleaning the ectoplasm.

As the students started using the spells, Medea moved out of the way so she wasn't in the line of anyone's aim. Unless they were aiming for her, she'd keep her eyes open for such play. Hearing their guest shout out, Medea chuckled and wandered towards him, still keeping an eye on everyone else.
