Post 2 ^_^ Recovering from the bump, Kat kind of grumbled before floating for her glove again. How could she succeed in getting meteors if she lost her glove in the sea of people. Urrrrrrrrgh. Squinting, she was looking for glove. Not a meteor. She can't catch a meteor without a glove unless you wanted her to get seriously injured. AH! She found her glove... and it was floating above Flamsteed. Wait, what? Did all the equipment awkwardly cling to him now? He wasn't floating. UNFAIR. Okay, it was so on. Kat 'flied' towards Flamsteed as if she were playing for an actual QUIDDITCH game. Oh Merlin, she's missed it. Keeper this term, she had to be good. Kat reached out for her glove and took it as fast as she could. Hah. Well, she totally didn't meant to catch Flamsteed off guard. "Sorry, Professor," she apologised in CASE she scared him. And a sheepish grin for him too. Now equipped with her glove, that was bigger than an actual glove, she was so ready to catch meteors. Charge for the meteoooooor! And bump to the wall... again. "Ouch." |

Alice took his hand, and Mo wriggled back around until he wasn't hanging upside down anymore. As she moved back out into space, he planted his feet against the wall behind him and pushed off, sending them both careening into the patch of slowmovers that Alice had spotted. It was her turn to try to catch a meteor, right? Even though she'd already gotten one? Mo waited patiently as she reached for her blue meteor. But then... he couldn't help it. A yellow one swept past, just within reach, and Mo shot out a hand to catch it. It seemed kismet, except for how it tugged him backwards with the force of the meteor hitting his glove, and Mo's hold on Alice jerked her too. Had it made her miss her meteor? "Sorry 'bout that... but I got one too. Yellow." |
Post 4 ...Haha Airey XD So Ella had this blue meteor thing in her gloved hand still but she totally needed that hand. Hmmmm. After a moment or two of mental debating, the blonde pulled her protective vest thingy-majig forward and shoved the rock down inside. Yup. Pat.Pat. It was totally safe in there. Heh! Geddit? Cause it was inside the protective equipment? Hehehe! Why wasn't she a comedian again? And then someone was screeching "Erm Professor, you okay?" The fifteen year old said as she moved very slowly away from the man. What?! She wanted to help but he was spinning like crazy! She didn't want to get kicked in the face or anything! THUD. Oh...hello wall. "Ouch." At least she could use this to her advantage though, yeah? Turning a bit, the blonde kicked off the wall and started to 'swim' in the other direction. Yup, she was going after the yellow meteor now. Watch out, world. ZOOOOOM! |
Post #2 Bumping into the Prof Quote:
His attention being taken away from the shooting stars was a bad idea, for another one now went flying into his shoulder! Oakey winced at the pain, but quickly focused his attention to a blue shooting star headed in his way. He extended his arm out and pushed back in the air taking another one to his back, but the blue one hit his glove and Oakey closed down on it quickly. Sweet! He got one, now just one more and he can't get down yeah? "Uuuugh!" Oakey grunted as he rammed his back into someone behind him. He swiveled around to see that he bumped into the overreacting Astronomy Professor..."Sorreeegh!" Oakey tried to apologize but another shooting star got him in the stomach. |
4! Awar was swimming towards a certain meteorite or anyone that was far from her embarrassing encounter. Oh she hoped he didn't see her red, red face. She stuck her arm up and reached for a yellow meteorite. As it approached, she was distracted by Professor Airey's yell that sounded like "Maaaahhsuuu!" since he was spinning and spinning. Someone below her bumped into her, causing her to go up a bit and then SLAM! The meteorite crashed into her forearm. "OW!" She withdrew her arm and rubbed the area of contact. Better not tell Presley. She'd send you to Mungo's. |

Seeing a yellow meteor, she went for it. Not seeing that Laura was going for it to.. Just as she realized there was nothing she could do to stop it.. The two of them collided!! |
Post 2 (A Mention of ella!) As Belle was about to catch a meteor, Belle saw it hit the professor's suit. Oh my god this lesson was getting interesting. O__O "Professor are you alright??" Belle asked him. Belle was still trying to get used to not being on the ground with gravity on her side. She was squirming and trying to move. Then Belle stood still while still swaying side to side. "Alright Belle, just calm down and move, swim like you do in a pool." she told herself. She then used her arms and legs and did the doggy paddle. She then saw the yellow meteor whizz past her. Belle saw Ella going after it. Belle wanted to catch it. She had her glove ready. She was swimming/moving really fast but then she felt like she was spinning. Belle was getting dizzy. Yeah...she was gonna hold back a bit and not move SO fast. She hoped the professor was okay. He was very fond of his suit. THUD. Belle bumped into someone. Belle saw it was Ella. "Sorry Ella!" she was kicking off from the wall and did not see her. |
Post 4 / DecemberMoon & Lexa Mika glanced over to the person she had run into. Ooops. She was too far away to clearly make out what this person was saying. Though she did see the star diversion that Lex had pointed out. "These things are...weird" she just laughed, "its probably just coincidence...I hope" she smiled over to her and sent a smile back over to Eliza. Any ideas how to catch them. "Um hi - I'm Mika...this is Lex, if you want maybe we can work together you know if one is too far away i can try to send you flying up to catch it..." but then thinking of it she'd go falling downward. Not a good idea. "Girls lets use the wall - and climb to the ceiling using the bricks in the walls and then we can push ourselves down and basically fall into the meteroids catching them...it'd be like taking candy from a baby that way" she just smiled. Couldn't they just use a sticking charm to eachother and make a daisy-chain of wizards? So the could have one person catch all the stars for the entire class. A blue star began to fall above her - "Hey! Which color do you guys need?" She asked as she watched the star come closer and closer to her. |
Post #3 Dodging a flying professor :) She hadn't even had the time to wait for the girl's response when she saw Professor Airey spiraling out of control towards them. She wobbled her arms backwards as hard and fast as she could - and managed to get out of his path just in time! He sure was a squirrely one, which she enjoyed a lot, much to her own surprise. However, internal professor assessments would have to wait because at this moment, she was wooshing backwards from the sudden paddling of her arms. Back, back, back she went with her hair whirling in front of her face and her arms flailing at her sides. She was trying desperately to stop her movement, or to at least not hit anything - or worse, anyone. But alas, she did smack her back into the wall and bounce off in a diagonal motion. With arms still scrambling for control, she felt something hard hit the palm of her hand. What the? Realization struck her and she quickly closed her fingers down around whatever it had been and held on tight, not daring to make any more movements until she had slowed down some more. She must've looked odd in her curled up, tight-as-a-kitten-around-a-ball-of-yarn pose, clenching whatever was in her glove with all her might so as not to drop it in the shuffle of things. Once she had lost some momentum, she peeled open her tightly shut eyelids and saw a beautiful blue glow streaming out from between the fingers on her glove. I can't believe it... She opened her hand a little wider, after all it wasn't a sneaky snitch or anything that might buzz off again, and verified that yes, she had indeed caught a meteor. "I caught one!" she exclaimed across the room towards the girl that had been speaking to her before she went on her space journey into the wall. She did her best to swim and wriggle through the air back towards the two girls. "Blue down, yellow to go!" she told them both. "How about you guys?" She listened to what Mika had to say about the snatching strategy and nodded her head. "That sounds like it could really work!" She was glad to have a little help in this lesson. |
Post 2 The ugly, mustard color sphere darted around the room completely unaware that it had a stalker. A resolute pair of grey eyes followed it from one end of the room to the other and back. She watched it's trajectory and waited for the opportune moment. She hung there like a bat watching and waiting. Finally her window came. Nell put both of her feet to the wall and pushed off with all her might. She sailed like a comet across the room with her glove outstretched. Halfway across the room she felt the weight of the sphere hit her glove and couldn't help the surge of triumph that made her want to dance. Her little dance was interrupted however when her eyes met the wall that was fast approaching. She had time to twist a bit so that her shoulder hit the wall and not her face. The pain was a bit hard to take but she had the stupid little sphere and that's what mattered right? |
Post #5 Text Cut: Mo Rotten? Alice supposed they could be classified as that, since they weren't being very nice to MO. But they seemed to be treating her alright. "They're kind of hard to get, I suppose, but what's the fun of doing something easy?" Grin. There was no fun in easy things, obviously. Challenges were much more interesting, which was why she found catching stars to be much more fun than reading and answering questions like any other old lesson. She advanced on the meteor a bit more because of that extra push Mo had taken off the wall. Yes.. it was JUST out of her reach.. but her fingers inched closer.. it was right there.. and.. Alice jerked the opposite way, towards Mo, crashing into him because of his little tug. "Oomf." And.. NO. It was gone. The little star had moved on to be caught by another person. Her face fell a little, but it was okay, because Cactus had gotten his star. Right? "At least you caught one," she pointed out as optimistically as possible. "And now we both need blue." Had he spotted anymore slowmovers? Because their patch was scattered now. Text Cut: Airey <3 .. was that a cry of distress she heard? Alice tilted her head away from Mo to STARE at the suit-obsessed professor, cartwheeling through the air. And Ella was applauding, wasn't she? Was that meant to happen? She attempted to clap as best as she could while still keeping a grip on Mo's hand. "You do wonderful acrobatic tricks, Professor!" Of course, that was what he was doing. Obviously. But then he started screaming. About.. his suit. Go figure. Alice found it slightly amusing, though. "What's wrong? Is there a stain?" No, that wasn't a satirical comment, she was dead SERIOUS. She was definitely a Seer. She had known it would happen. It was some kind of magical voodoo or something, she was sure of it. Oh. It was so nice of him to stick his wheelchair to the ground, wasn't it? "Thank you for that, Mr. Flamsteed," he said gratefully, beaming at the man. He hadn't let go of that wheelchair in years, and it was so nice to be FREE. Why was the professor man screaming? Sherman turned his head away from the yellow star he was attempting to catch to see Mr. Flamsteed spiraling through the air. .. that.. that wasn't supposed to happen, was it? The elderly man kind of 'swam' over to the professor, taking one of his arms and managing to keep him still for a moment or two. "Sir, are you alright?" Did he need to lie down or was— OH. LOOKIT! YELLOW STAR! That one was HIS. |
Post 3 ^_^ Of all things that could happen, she bumped to a wall. That was MAD. This is why gravity was helpful, if Flamsteed didn't know. Ugh. Kat tried not to bump to anything otherwise she'd just yell stuff that aren't pleasing to the ears. And she'd just lose points. It would be horrible, considering that she just earned an extra 5 points for singing a verse from the Muggle pop-love-whatever song. LOL. THEEEEERE! Yellow meteor, we're coming to get you! |
Post #5 SPOILER!!: Mika Lex gasped. "No Mika, that's what they want you to think. Get you off guard then BAM!! Next thing you know the blue star's gone and you have to go about catching one again!!" Getting this little guy was hard enough the first time, she didn't want to try again. Besides, she didn't have the patience to go floating around, waiting for the next one to fall into her hands...not when Mika was suggesting an epic idea. "I already know who she is." Lex informed the girl briefly. No need to waste time on intros, not when there was floooating and crashing and tumbling to do like what the Professor just did! It took a true Gryffindor to be able to tumble in midair like that. Heh. "You may not still want to be thrown but do you think you could throw me?? Just once?? Pleassssse???--I mean we'll still climb the walls but that idea just sounds super cool and I wanna give it a try before class ends." It's not everyday that one could get thrown across the classroom and not get seriously injured...assuming she never got injured that is... Yeah...she just wouldn't think about that... "I need a yellow and so do you!" Lex beamed a bit, doing a back flip because she COULD. This no gravity thing was great! |
Post 4 ^_^ If the walls hated her (the feeling was MUTUAL), the meteor didn't. At least, not as much as the walls did. The yellow meteor just liked to fly away from her whenever Kat got nearer. Like it had a sensor when a human goes nearer. CREEPY. Though it hated her, the 'feeling' didn't stop Kat from wanting to catch it. Yeah, wasn't determination a trait most of the Slytherins have? Right? Well that's definitely what Kat's made of. For the moment... and also during Quidditch-related events. When she got nearer to the meteor it went a bit to her right and then with her awesome reflexes, Kat had caught Glad to know the Puffer meteor didn't hate her. |
#1 ... That was an AWESOME spell right there, professor Flamsteed!! WHOA! She needed to learn tha- GAAHH!! Where were all the chairs and desks?? And sweet Merlin, it was like they were floating in the space now. That was..... BRILLIANT!!! Sophie beamed at all those super awesome Charms. That, and the wink he gave her a little earlier were bound to make the Astronomy professor one of Sophie's favourites! Time to dog paddle. Lalalalalalala..... uh... blink. She wasn't really going in the direction she wanted to go... that was bad! Sophie tried her best to swiiiiim her way around the room, but that turned out to be way harder than she thought! Noooooooooo!! She didn't want to turn upside down!! Though with the class all enchanted like that it would be kind of difficult to figure out what was up and what was down... Anyway. Dog paddle! Dog paddle! Dog paddle! MOVE, SOPHIE! MOVE!! Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngh! |
Post 5 // MO & Alice Mika glanced over to Lex as she asked to be thrown - heck yeah she'd throw her. She just nodded as she looped her fingers together and attached them to Lex's ankle pulling her down first she then pushed her arms upwards letting go of her foot. The motion causing Lex to shoot forward and her to fall down a bit - landing luckily against the wall. Falling Stars! There was one right near her. "Yeah we'll try that in just a second" she commented to Eliza with a nod, as she pulled her knees against her body and pushed off from the wall. Arm outstretched and glove in hand. Stretching. Stretch - c'mon get the darn thing. One - two - three seconds later there was a ball of warmth in her hand. "HUZZAH!" Right now was not the time to sound like a weirdo. But she had caught it! She had not one but TWO different colors. She'd completed it. But she wanted to do more. Spotting where Alice and Mo were situated she propelled herself over there. "You guys need help?" She asked smiling over to them. The weightless feeling of the room was just EPIC! |
Post 1 Loss of gravity and floating around. So this is why they must use the baseball glove and protective gear. Safety is the first priority right? Good to realize that this Professor still concerned about his students' safety By the time Flamsteed casted the anti-gravity spell, Gary could feel that his feet didn't step on the floor again. WOAAAAAH... At first he kinda lost his body control and... BUMP! Ouch... his head hit the ceiling, but lucky that he put his helmet on, so it wouldn't crack his skullbone. Even himself often experienced that (Standing in 6 feet 3 inches made his head often get hit by something above his head). Now he could control his body and continued chasing the fake meteor. |
Post 5 Quote:
Mo's nearly dropped his newly grabbed meteor as Alice came crashing into him, and his free arm went around her to steady them both. Obviously, Mo's grab at that last meteor had ruined Alice's chance at grabbing one herself, but she was taking it on the chin like a trooper. 'Cause she was such a good egg, that's why. He released her, but not before knocking his meteor lightly against her forehead and grinning at her. "I'm trying not to hurt you, but you make it awfully hard when you insist on following me around like this." Jokes. Just jokes. "Let's try..." His eyes searched the meteors around them, and Mo thought he spotted a cluster of blues tracking slowly in their direction. "Those right there look like a safe bet. They'll probably run right into us." This game plan to have no game plan seemed like a GOOD ONE, but the Professor's cries of distress drew their attention. What was wrong with him? Was he hurt? What a baby. |
Post #2 Now that she was right side up, Penelope hoped she would stay that way. Floating upside down was not particularly fun, while the activity itself should be. Speaking of which. She glanced back up again to see where the flying lights were and tried to "swim" up a bit to get closer. Soon she was level with a few of the lights, and she followed them with her eyes, waiting for one to come at her so she could catch it. They came faster than expected, two - one blue, one yellow - coming at her at once from different directions. She glanced between them, trying to decide which one to catch, then quickly stuck her gloved hand up and out towards the one nearest that side while simultaneously trying to avoid the other, yellow one. Her plan didn't work, however. The blue one soared juuuuust a few centimeters above her outstretched hand; the yellow one socked her right in the shoulder before continuing its descent. Ouch. She rubbed her shoulder, though it didn't hurt too bad, and frowned. This was gonna be a little harder than expected. |
Post 5 and Belle! That's right you little yellow meteor, you're mine. And Ella swam through the air as best she could, glove outstretched. It wasn't too much farther and this particular meteor didn't seem to be moving as fast as the others so she had a chance...Hey! This was kind of like seeking, wasn't it? The blonde smiled a little and thought of a certain hair ruffler she knew. Would he be proud of her if she got this thing? Hmmm...Grin! O____O And then she was knocked off course suddenly and the blonde frowned, wondering if Professor Airey had ended up cartwheeling in her direction after all. It wasn't him though, it seemed. The fifteen year old badger laid eyes on Belle and smiled a little. She knew the older girl wouldn't hurt a fly and besides, it was just too hard to control your direction up here. "It's alright Belle, I'm fine!" She called after here, hoping she was okay too. It was totally like bumper cars up here except it was bumper classmates. Yup. |
#2 Still trying her best not to hit anyone or anything, Sophie had completely lost focus on what she was supposed to do. Dodging her classmates, the old man and the crazy yet awesome professor, Sophie kept doggie paddling about. That was DIFFICULT!! Ohlook, a meteor! OhRIGHT! She had that baseball glove thing to catch them! Duh! Streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch! Nuuuu!! "Come here, you meteor!" Dog paddle! Dog paddle! Dog paddle! Merlin, she never knew she could exercise so much with zero gravity! Weren't things supposed to be easier with no gravity? Gaahh!!! There she was spinning around again... no use trying to stop, so Sophie just kept stretching to get a meteor while spinning around multiple times. |
5! This was harder than expected. Awar was bruised and tired out and she still had to catch that dreaded yellow meteorite. Break first, break. She sighed, letting herself just float aimlessly in the middle of the chaos. Must. Catch. Falling. Star. She held out her glove again, and shot up towards the meteorites. A yellow one shot towards her. She narrowed her eyes and power kicked forward. COME TO ME OH YELLOW ONE!! She aimed straight at it. Making sure there was no way it could escape. One last stretch to it... POOF! Success. She held it in her glove, smiling, and flipped in the air in celebration. |
Post 3 When Belle was flying through the air, she smiled at Ella. She was glad she was fine. "It is so hard to control yourself up here." she said flailing her arms around and giggling. She wished the gravity would come on soon. Belle saw the professor was still in distress of his suit. She would worry sooner. She should focus on catching the meteor. After she got her glove set up, she squinted her eyes and tried to find it. After knocking into Ella, she was driven of course. She tried to find the yellow meteor. Belle then saw it in her mist. She saw it flying over the students. Belle had it in her sights. She had some snitch seeker skills left in her. She tried to swim over the students. Belle was then getting the hang of it. Belle reached for her mitt and tried to catch the meteor. She was SO close...AGHH! But she would go over to the next side of the room. |
Post #1 Lana had spent most of the lesson just listening. She had always been the quiet type anyway, but hearing what they were going to do; she was kind of excited. |
post 2 Slowly but sure he could controlled himself. It wasn't too hard honestly. The head boy tried to reach the meteors and also avoid to hit someone or something. Moving his legs and pretending that he was swimming (in the air), Gary tried to look for the nearest one. Where was it? Too focused to spot the meteor, suddenly he didn't realize that he moved too far to the left and his shoulder collided the wall. BANG! "Ouch!" Lucky that Gary had used the protective gear well, if not his shoulder will be injured again. Merlin, it wasn't easy! But he didn't want to give up because he did believe Pain is temporary, Victory is forever. Bring it on! |
