Annabelle decided it was time to visit her Snowl Owl Charlene. Belle walked up the stairs and she saw her nesting on one of the perches. "Hi Charlie" Belle said as a nickname for Charlene. "How are you doing?" Belle asked her kindly.Belle was petting her gently to try and get her awake. When she turned her head around to see who was petting her, her eyes gave this warm glow of happiness that only Belle could feel. She felt guilty not visiting her as often as last year but at least she was here now.
"I got a letter for you to send to mommy, you up for the challenge?" Belle asked her. Her eyes grew wide and she sat up to show her she was ready to send a letter. "Hold on lemme make a few adjustments." as Belle was scribbling and making scratch marks at her spelling mistakes. She wrote this letter at 3am anyways so no wonder why. "Here you go." as belle was tying the letter to her leg that stuck out. "Be safe, and have a nice journey." Belle smiled and Charlene nipped her finger to show she understood. Belle saw Charlene take off and watched her till she was a little speck in the sky.

Well, this certainly was not Ravenclaw Tower.

Ethan realized he was in the wrong place before he even entered the Owlery due to the pungent animal smell that encompassed his senses as he approached. He had been pretty sure he had gotten turned around at some point on the moving staircases and arriving here confirmed it - he was lost. Ah well, he was never going to get used to this new school if he didn't explore a bit and learn the layout of the castle, so he proceeded through the doorway, lightly covering his nose with his hand to mask the smell.

Rows upon rows of owls were before him... along with a girl standing in front of an open window, apparently searching the skies. "Hello..." he casually greeted the girl (and to announce his presence... nothing like sneaking up behind a person! heh), before turning his gaze back to the hundreds of owl perched on the wall and on branches. Many of them peered back at him - kinda creepy, really.

And since he was here, he actually did recently scribble a note to his cousin... might as well send it. Ethan opened up his messenger bag and began rifling through it until he found his letter. He figured many of these owls belonged to students but he didn't currently have one and figured some of them had to be school owls too. "So, I guess any would do?" he questioned aloud and looked up at the owls expectantly with letter in hand.

Annabelle didn't realize she was in her own world, till she saw a nice ravenclaw standing there saying hi to her. Belle reacted and jumped a little bit and replied, "Oh hello there!" she smiled breathlessly and blushed.
"Sorry i was in my own little world, i love starring at the beauty of the hogwarts grounds and skies. But i am Annabelle Lecium, you can call me Belle if you would like. I am a 6th year." she smiled and held out her hand for him to shake. When he mentioned the owls, Belle replied "Yeah any owl would do, just be nice to them is all and be careful not to put your fingers close to their beaks, they might bite, which is why i got my own owl." Belle advised the new boy she just met.

Ethan couldn't help but let out a light chuckle as he realized he had indeed startled the girl with his presence - not that he really tried to. Returning the girl's smile, he shook her offered hand as he replied in kind, "Nice to meet you Belle, I'm Ethan." Once she had turned around, the Ravenclaw eyes landed on the prefect badge pinned to the girl's robes, then he looked back up at her face as she offered her year. "I'm a fifth year," Ethan responded. "But this is my first year at Hogwarts."

The fifteen year old looked past Belle and through the open window. "It is an amazing view," he agreed, smiling wistfully. The boy loved being outdoors and that was one thing he liked about Hogwarts already - the grounds were incomparable to pretty much anything he had experienced. Ethan turned back to the Puff girl as she spoke and he nodded in understanding. No fingers needed to be bitten today! "I used to have my own owl," he told Belle. "But I wasn't able to bring him with me. I suppose I need to get a new one." He caught the eye of a small tawny owl who flew down to him and he arranged the note on the bird's leg. As if on cue, the owl took flight through the open window and Ethan watched as he flew away.

Belle smiled and replied, "Nice to meet you Ethan." She noticed he looked at her prefect badge and she smiled and chuckled, "Yeah i am a prefect, so since this is your first year at Hogwarts, i will be glad to help you if you need help around the castle." she offered her assistance. When Ethan mentioned the view, "Yeah it is an amazing view." she agreed. She was thinking that Ethan was kind of cute but she kept it to herself.
When he mentioned having his own owl, Belle said, "Aw what kind of owl are you thinking of getting. I have Charlene who is a Snow Owl and she is an amazing creature. I love her." Belle said as she watched his owl fly away into the sky.

Ethan rubbed the back of his neck as he contemplated her offer. It was a bit of a blow to his ego to admit that he was lost, but he really could use someone to show him around. Someone who also happened to be a pretty girl... who was he to refuse? "Well... to be honest," he started, smiling a bit. "I am having a bit of trouble navigating the castle. I'd really appreciate it if you could show me around some... or even just some tips on how not to get lost," he added with a light chuckle.

As the tawny became a small speck in the sky that soon disappeared, Ethan turned back to Belle as she spoke. "Uhmm... I'm not sure," he replied as he looked up at the snow owl at her mentioning. "I had a black owl at Beauxbatons. He was a pretty reliable little guy, maybe I'll get another like him."

Belle smiled widely and was happy to show him around. "Of course i can help you Ethan. I can show you some shortcuts to get through the castle with me being a 6th year, i learned some of the twists and turns." she giggled and blushed. She felt like she was acting like a fool in front of him. She tried to keep her cool.
Belle's eyes widened when he mentioned Beauxbatons. "Wow...you are from Beauxbatons?? That is amazing. I am so jealous, i wish i could travel to another school." Belle said in awe. She was starting to smile when he caught her eye. No wonder why he was so handsome. Usually foreign students have striking features that makes a girl weak in the knees. "But i am from the muggle world, I am from Lawrence Kansas. Do you know where that place is?" she asked hoping she didn't sound like a total fool.

Harvey walked upto the owlery just to visit his owl, he didn't want to send a letter but he had spare time so he decided to visit Frost. He hadn't seen the owl in a month or so and wondered what the owl had been upto in the owlery, he walked up the steps and took out the bag of treats "Frost!! Where are you buddy?!! Come down!" he yelled upto the the owl. He then watched as a white owl sleepily got ready to fly and came down to him and gave a big yawn "Oh I am sorry buddy I had idea you were sleeping. I can leave if you want to go back to sleep" he said to him, Frost shook his body as if to say no "Ok if you are sure, well here you go have some treats" he said taking a treat or two out of the bag and giving them to Frost

"Great, thanks," Ethan replied, returning Belle's smile. "My old school didn't have moving staircases, though there were plenty of hidden passages, but I never seemed to get lost." This place seemed a lot trickier than Beauxbatons... or maybe it was just because he had gotten used to it over the years.

And speaking of his old school, Belle seemed to be quite interested in it. "Yeah," he shrugged casually since it wasn't really a big deal to him. "I went there up until about a week ago... Nothing exciting, really," he added, somewhat curious why anyone would find his previous school interesting. "Just another school, like this one." Although they weren't exactly the same, Ethan did find a lot of similarities between the schools... so far, at least.

"I guess my family does travel a lot," he added after a moment's thought. Ethan hadn't thought about it much before, but he guessed he was pretty lucky to be able to visit a lot of countries. "I've never heard of that place before though," the Ravenclaw said, trying to place her accent. It did sound American so he figured that must be where she was from. "Is that in the US?" he asked. "That's one country I've never been. Is it much different than Britain?" Or any part of Europe, he wondered as that's where he spent most of his life. "Are you Muggle-born?" he also wondered aloud, being that she did say 'from the Muggle world.' Muggle life was fairly fascinating to Ethan, especially their 'technology' and the ways they got around without magic.

Belle got the hint that Ethan thought his school was nothing special. "Oh i am sorry i am just curious because i never really traveled to other schools. I know it might be amazing in my point of view." Belle shrugged and she starting pacing in the owlery.
When Ethan mentioned a comment about her hometown Lawrence, Belle smiled and said, "Yes Lawrence Kansas is in the United States. Which is why i sound american to you." Belle blushed with pride. "It is a nice little town and i learned and still do learn a lot actually."
When Ethan asked about Kansas being different to Britain, Belle could only guess her ideas. "Well since i have never been to Britain, i would say the food would be much different. The muggle food in the country side is great. It makes you feel at home which i do miss sometimes....." Belle's eyes began to fill with tears and she turned her head. She hated people seeing her cry.
A few seconds later, when he asked if Belle was muggle born, she blinked away her tears and she replied, "Well i am not a pure muggle, i am half blood. My mom is the witch in my the family and my dad is the muggle. Which is why i know so much about the muggle world." she grinned. "But how about you Ethan, are you a muggle? What is it like in Britain? Do you have an siblings back home?" Belle asked.

ooc: Hogwarts is in Scotland (part of Great Britain) and that's what Ethan meant - how did the US compare to where they are now

"Oh, hey... nothing to be sorry about," Ethan said, thinking he upset the girl as she looked somewhat defeated by his answer. "I mean... I can see how someone who's never been there might be curious about it. To me, it was just school," he added with a shrug. "But I'd be interested to see what a US school was like, I think." Or at least how different it was. He briefly wondered why she didn't go to one of the US Wizarding schools, but thought against asking.

Ethan nodded as Belle spoke about the differences between the 2 countries. He started to wonder what kind of odd foods the US might have, then noticed the Hufflepuff stopped talking suddenly. His eyes landed on her as she turned away. "Are... you alright?" he asked, somewhat confused. She seemed to be upset... but he wasn't sure exactly why. Maybe it was a girl thing. He never could quite seem to figure them out.

All seemed to be okay, though, as Belle began talking again. Ethan chuckled lightly to himself. Girls were funny creatures. He nodded again as she spoke of her family background. "Must be pretty interesting to have a Muggle for a parent..." he said, wondering aloud. "They seem to come up with pretty clever ways of doing things." Without magic, he meant. "I especially like cars," he added, a hint of a grin playing on his lips. Ethan shook his head at her next question. "No, I'm a pureblood... and I'm an only child." As an afterthought, he added, "I'm not actually from Britain... well, both my parents are English, but I was born in Germany." And went to school in France for four years, but that part had already been established so he felt no need to elaborate on that particular tidbit.

Belle answered his question and said, "Yeah i am fine. Just sometimes when i think of home, i just get powerful emotions of being homesick. But i will be all adjusted soon don't worry. I mean i met you first of all, so i am making progress." she smiled at him.
When Ethan mentioned having a muggle father, Belle replied lightly, "Yeah it is nice to have a muggle father. I love him with all my heart. He was kind of surprised when i went to Hogwarts instead of an US college. But i wanted to carry on what my mom did and go to Hogwarts and keep magic in the family name." Belle said and she felt so comfortable with Ethan to share this with him.
When he mentioned cars, Belle's ears perked up. "Oh i know a little bit about cars as a matter of fact. Do you know any models of cars in the muggle world?" Belle asked curiously. "I know a couple models." Belle said matter of factly. "I kind of want to own a Camaro. They look so kick butt ." Belle giggled at what she just said.
When Ethan mentioned being an only child, Belle replied"You are lucky you are an only child, i am the oldest out of three. I have two little twin brothers and a little sister. They do not about Hogwarts and my mom plans to keep it that way. But that is cool you are born in Germany. " Belle added as an afterthought.
Belle kind of wanted to know something too. But she didn't know if it was too personal or anything but it couldn't hurt. "Did you have any girl friends when you went to your school in France?" Belle asked and suddenly blushed fiercely. Maybe it was too personal but she already asked it. I mean he could not answer if he felt uncomfortable.

Ameliah skipped up the short distance between the common room and the owlery, with a letter for Eimear in her hands and her awesome cat Dwalin at her heels. It may not be Am's best idea to bring the black kitten here, but oh well.

"LEVREEEEEELL!!!!!" Ameliah called, and a handsome brown owl perched on her shoulder. "This is for Eimear, kay? She's probably at the house, so go check there before going to Beauxy's." Levrell hooted in understanding and flew out. It was good that Am lived in Scotland, so Levrell didn't have to go far. He'd probably be back in a half an hour with an answer.

Turning around an her heels, she was about to head to the library (since it was never too early to start homework) when she noticed Harvey. Ameliah's stomach gave an uncomfortable twist but she smiled anyways. "Heya Harvles! And hi to you too, Frosty!!" She patted the owl's head happily.

"MEEEEEEEOOOOOW!!!" Dwalin mewed as he wound his way around the boy's legs. Purr. He smelled nice. Like peppermint.

Harvey was feeding Frost some treats when he heard a girl yelling out a name who he assumed was her owl's. He looked up and saw Ameliah, oh boy! awkard!! He watched as she turned around when she saw him and smiled, Harvey smiled back. Harvles? that was a new one.. but he would go with it "Hey Ameliah" he greeted back as she came over to say hi to Frost who hooted in response, he was happy to be patted.. finally! Harvey felt something brush against legs just as he heard a meow. A cat? he saw the cat wind around his legs he bent down and patted his head. Frost was not too pleased about the cat being patted and not him. Harvey stood up and looked at Ameliah "So... hows everything? .. er.. how are you doing?" he asked and realised he had said 'er', ah wells it was going to come out sometimes he couldn't exactly completely stop it.

Ethan nodded slowly, trying to understand Belle's feelings of homesickness. He guessed he felt like that some during his first year away from home... but he would have thought she'd be used to it by her sixth year. "Sure," he began as she mentioned meeting him, "but you've been at Hogwarts a while, right? I'm sure you have loads of friends." That was something that was going to be hard for Ethan. He did have quite a few friends at Beauxbatons... and now he'd have to start all over in that respect.

The fifth year pursed his lips in thought for a moment as their discussion turned to cars. "No, I've not heard of that one... Camaro," he repeated slowly then chuckled at her phrasing. He paused again, in thought. What was the name of that car Jean-Pierre had? "Ferrari... is that the name of one?" he asked, not completely sure. "I got to ride in one of those last term," he added with a smug grin. That was pretty sweet.

"Well, I don't know if it's lucky," he said with a shrug as Belle discussed their differences in terms of family. But he didn't really know any different, it was just the way it was. "I have a few cousins that I'm pretty close to," he added, not sure if that made any difference. He knit his brow together in slight confusion as she further discussed her family. "Wow, that must be rough to have to hide who you are from your family," he said. "I mean, sure, we have to hide our true identity from Muggles, but I can't imagine lying to my family like that..." Ethan thought about that for a moment when Belle spoke again.

Well, that was something of an odd question, was his first thought, but so was the way she asked it. Like she was a bit... flustered? Was that the right word? Ethan looked at her for a moment before responding, not sure if she meant friends who happened to be female or like a steady girlfriend, though he was pretty sure she meant the latter. "A few, I guess," he said a bit uncomfortably as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I didn't leave my true love behind, if that's what you mean" he suddenly added with a chuckle, trying to make light of the situation.

Ameliah nodded towards her kitty. "I dunno if you met him at the house, but that's my cat Dwalin." she explained. Dwalin eyed Frost out of the corner of his eye. DON'T TRY ANYTING, BUB. Ameliah smirked to herself as Harvs Ered again. She'd never get tired of that. "Um... Nothing too interesting. Adam broke up with me so I could think things over. I've been...um...confused lately." She wasn't really prepared to say why though. That'd put the akward in overdrive.

There was something that kept gnawing at Ameliah, and she figured now was the time to ask about it since no one else was really around in case she broke down. "Um... I wanna... know something." She was still trying to find out exactly how to say it. Or if she could say it at all. A huge knot formed in her throat, and she swallowed hard.

When Ethan mentioned making new friends, Belle smiled and reassured him that he will make new friends. "I am sure there are nice people in your house of Ravenclaw who will become your best friends."
Then they started talking about cars. When Ethan said that he didn't know what a Camaro was she was kind of shocked. "Well Camaro is a type of car seen in a muggle movie called Transformers that i watched with my cousins. Have you seen any muggle movies or maybe you have seen some french films?" Belle asked curiously. "I have seen many of them and especially fairy tales kinds of muggle movies." she grinned.
On the topic of asking of having a girl friend, Belle could tell Ethan was a little uncomfortable and dropped the subject. But Belle's heart lifted when he said he didn't leave his true love behind. But she said to make light of the situation with a chuckle, "Well i am glad you have some friends as girls back at home."

ooc: I'm going to wrap this up here, but we can certainly RP later or somewhere else. Ethan does need to be shown around the castle

Ethan nodded. "Oh, I'm sure you're right," he said with a casual shrug. He didn't seem to have a problem making friends, really. It was just the whole starting over that was a pain.

He thought for a moment about a few of the foreign-sounding words Belle was saying, then shook his head. "No, I've never heard of a transformers movie... I have seen a few films though," he added. They weren't all that appealing to the boy though. The first was interesting just for the novelty of it, after that they sort of lost their appeal.

Thankful the situation wasn't nearly as awkward as it had been a few minutes before, Ethan offered Belle a smile and said, "Well, it was very nice meeting you, Belle. I really do need to find my way back to Ravenclaw Tower though..." After all, that was were he was headed when he ended up here. "Unless you'd like to show me the way... ?" She did offer, after all...

Harvey smiled and nodded "Ah ok.. well hello Dwalin, nice to meet you.. he is cute" he nodded "I dont think I met him no.. well I might have seen a glimpse of him but nothing like this" he said as she answered his question of how everything was, but what he heard next he was not expecting to hear "What?.. when? what happened?" he asked wondering what she would need to think about. He wondered what she would be confused about

He then saw that she was itching to ask him something and he knew that she would be asking him something soon. He nodded "Umm yeah .. sure.. what would you like to know?" oh boy whenever anyone said that he was left wondering what it could be.. was it about him? Ella? or something else? He was now nervous as to what she wanted to ask him and talk to him about, her swallowin hard did not help at all.. yes he saw that and it was not very calming at all.

"It was nice meeting you too Ethan." Belle said with a wide smile. When Ethan asked to be shown to Ravenclaw tower, Belle smiled and said, "Of course i will show you the way. I mean i do not want you to get lost." she opened the door and motioned him to go before her. "After you sir." she said playfully. To start a conversation she said, "I heard hogsmeade is open if you want me to show you the town sometime."

Ameliah smiled. "He is, isn't he?" That sweet little kitty!! Am then blushed. "Um.. Well I kinda like... Logan... and I still like you a bit... and it's all been pretty confusing so Adam said he wanted me to think it over." she just left it at that.

How to ask? And really, it was a lot of somethings. Ameliah took a deep breath and quickly said: "Well first off I wanna know why you broke up with me in the first place and then why Eimear did it in a letter and you couldn't just say it to my face cause I wouldn't have been really that mad and now people are calling you a coward for not just telling me and explaining to me why and I try to defend you but I'm starting to kinda believe it myself but I know you aren't a coward so now I'm just confused." She didn't have a real reason for speaking so quickly, she just felt if she ever paused she'd never get the rest out.

Harvey nodded "Yeah he is" he smiled down at the kitten. He then looked up in time to see her blush as she talked about why Adam said what he said "You still like Logan?" he had thought that she didnt, wait! she liked him too!? wow! this was going to be very awkward now that she had siad that, and he didnt know that. Oh boy! this was not good at all "Oh! ok.. yeah I guess it is pretty confusing if its like that" no wonder Adam told her to think it over. It was something that she needed to think about

He then listened to her quickly talk and release a bunch of lies and accusations that she was throwing onto him, when it was all her fault! "Hold up Ameliah! Why you telling a bunch of lies? do you have people watching us right now?" he looked around to see if he could see anyone, he then turned to Ameliah "It wasn't me that broke up with you, you broke up with me remember, through Eimear's letter. All that you just said is all about you. You could have said it to my face, people are not happy that you did it like that either. So why did you do it? " he asked her wondering why she was lying right to his face. He knew that she had sent him the letter so why was she making out that he had sent her one. Maybe she was sick or something that was making her believe a complete lie, he would suggest that Adam take her upto the hospital wing to get her checked out cause the poor girl wasn't alright at all.

Ameliah's cheeks went even redder. "Yeah, I still like him..." her voice got fainter with every word. Why did he have to ask it like that? Am began to feel very akward now. She'd never had a problem with explaining these kinds of things to Harvs before, but now she regretted it.

LIES?? "What do you mean, lies?!?!" Ameliah burst angrily. "Eimear sent me a letter saying you didn't like me anymore and you wanted to dump me. I can't believe you would deny something like that, Watson," she snarled. Yeah, she called him Watson. No more Harvles or Er Boy for him. "I thought you were better than that. I never WANTED to break up with you! Why would I?!? I was happy. More than happy." She could feel her shoulders trembling as she glared at Harvey with a new intensity.

Harvey nodded as she admitted that she still liked him, well things like that never really did go away did they. "Thats.. erm.. cool.. its good to .. tell the truth" yeah it was.. better than lying and being found out like she was being found out right now. She was lying right now but he knew what
the truth was and yet she was still lying.......

.... he almost jumped out of his shoes at her yelling at him, he listened and shook his head "No!! I got a letter from her telling me that you wanted to dump ME!" emphasising 'me' he raised his eyebrows as she called him Watson for the first time ever, no more of her nicknames for him "[b]I AM denying it?! oh excuse me.. but it is you who is denying the fact that you wanted to break up with me. Just admit it was you! he hadn't been this mad in a long time but right now it was all he was feeling "Why would you?!! HAH!! If you were happy you wouldn't have tried to put this breakup on me when it was you who wanted us to break up all along so that you could go and run off with Logan!" oh yes he said it cause thats what it seemed like to him right now. He couldn't believe that he was this mad with her.. at least Ella had never made him feel this mad before.. maybe Mins was right it was time to tell her.
