Transfiguration, he knew, would be a subject he would enjoy, not just because of family connections but because it was interesting and a perfect skill to have. He listened intently as Professor Magnus explained the task for now and grinned as she did the spell. He wasn't sure if it was a skill he would require in the future, Terry hadn't planned to go outside with a jumper in the cold and he definitely didn't carry a plastic bag around with him. But it was exciting to watch and he wasn't going to complain about the task.

Soon enough it was their chance to perform the spell and he stood up and headed towards the dummy with the bag wrapped around him. He drew out his wand and practised making the Z movement just to get the hang of it. He placed his wand back into his holster and then started muttering out the spell words instead. "Sum-mus Vest-is" he pronounced slowly and carefully. There, that sounded about right, these Latin words in the spells could be quite complicated sometimes.

"Summus Vestis" he spoke again adding in the Z movement using his hand. She had spoken about drawing out a design but Terry wasn't an artist and he certainly wasn't someone who liked fashion.

Could someone else draw something for him?

Pretty please?

'Revertoes' Sarah said again. Yet it did not work... 'Revertoes' she said stubbornly... yet nothing happened. This basic spell which she had preformed before just simply did not work. And she wanted it to be a plastic bag again in order that she could retransfigure it for more pracrtice. "revertoes...revertoes" Still nothing, the item just stared back at her cheekily. Merlin woolen socks... what was going on! Revertoes

"I-I'm fine, i'm sorry!" Daichi answered her question and shifted his body to sit better on his chair again. His breathing had intensified due to the shock of the explosion and he was now trying to calm it. His brown eyes watched how the Professor re-attached the leg and in a second the mannequin was whole again.

Feeling the hand on his shoulder, the Slytherin looked at it first before looking to his desk. "I-i know, it's just..." he sighed deeply and blinked his eyes a few times. "Professor? when the OWL exams come, we-we can't try the spells a few times right? Because i just can't do it the first time!" aaaaand the tears came back again. They did not fall though, luckily.

Help. The word reminded him of Kurumi in the DADA class when she had whispered she would help him with...he didn't know actually... But that wasn't the time to think about right now. He nodded his head at the Professor.

"I'll try again" he announced and grabbed his wand from the desk. He looked at his duck t-shirt design and moved his wand in a Z motion. "Summus Vestis"

This time, the bag changed. It shifted around and began to shine a bit when....

Nothing.

It stayed the exact same plastic bag. Siiiiiigh



Hearing a young girl having trouble with the reverto spell, Daichi bit his lip before he stood up. Maybe he could help her instead of troubling himself too much with his failure.

Standing up from his chair, the Slytherin moved a few desk down the classroom and stopped next to hers. "Hi~! The spell doesn't work because you are saying it wrong" he said and grabbed his wand. "It's Reverto, like this"

He moved his wand said the "Reverto" spell as he pointed it to her piece of clothing aaaaaaaand....

Nothing happened. Absolutely nothing.

Feeling his cheeks flush red, he hung his head low and stared at the untouched piece of clothing. "Uhm..well...say it like that but then...make it work.." He mumbled before he ran, yes ran, back to his own desk.

Sarah felt beads of fustration on her head now. She looked up when she heard some help!
She hit her head on her desk with fustration when she realized what she had donw wrong. "Merlin I am an idiot" BANG. Ouch, her head hurt, she rubbed it furiously though. "Thanks, let me try" "Reverto" she said, pointing her wand, and wonder of wonders it worked! It was back to a plastic bag again. "Thank you so much!" she said. Now she had to try again, she sketch another top in her book and held out her wand. Making a Z shape with her wand she said "Summus Vestis" and the bag transformed again, into a crude top, although better then the first time last time.

Well, he didn't hear any laughing, at least. He turned toward her and just held up his hands helplessly. "Didn't work," he said. But she was encouraging him to try again, so he did.

Garbage bag... He summoned up an image and meditated on it for several seconds, his face void of expression. Then suddenly his eyes snapped open, his wrist raised up to chest level, and his wand made a flourishing movement. "Reverto!"

And suddenly there was a normal-looking bag. "Sweet! Thanks!"

Now if only he could get the actual spell to work.

Well, the picturing thing worked once, maybe it will again? He thought of the simplest shirt that he could: a plain white tee. Envisioning this on the mannequin, he tried to cast the spell once more. Hand moving in a Z, he said, "Summus Vestis."

Something had definitely happened. He ran up to inspect his handiwork and notice the texture of the bag had changed. I think it took on a bit of a shape, too, but it's hard to tell. Encouraged, he vowed to making 'visualizing the goal' his go-to method of spell casting. If it ain't broke don't fix it, right?

Once the plastic slime was firmly coated on the mannequin once more, Kai shouted "Reverto!" and with a flash all was back to normal.
"Right, I'm gonna get it right this time" he reassured himself. Perhaps his Z swish was too fast? He took a few moments to compose himself, and got ready for another try.
White, cotton, v-neck, tshirt. White, cotton, v-neck, tshirt. White, cotton, v-neck, tshirt.

Kai took a deep breath, and calmly but assertively shouted "Summus Vestis!", flicking his wrist as he did so. IT WORKED. "YES! YES! YES!" he cheered, he'd done it on his second try...or had he. It was almost done...sort of... All but one arm had worked, but it certainly wasn't wearable. One of the sleeves was a morphed plastic cone shape with no hole for an arm, "Almost there..." said Kai. He was definitely getting the hang of this, just needed to remain focused throughout. One more try wouldn't hurt.

Elliot wanted to try again...and recreate the one she had just made for Alexa, since she had asked. Elliot could be nice...for a minion. She grabbed a new black garbage bag off the desk, rushed back to her own mannequin....took her preeeetty grey lace shirt off the mannequin and then put the new garbage bag on...THERE!

She watched Hannah try again..whoooh! "Nice one," she said, nodding her head approvingly at her friend...good. now they were evenly matched. Though Elliot HAD gotten it before the Slytherin..hahaha...

She concentrated, again, on the shirt she had just produced...she did the Z and cried, "Summus Vestis!" the black rubber bag transformed magnificently into an exact replica of the shirt she had just made...she grinned at Alexa..."Here, Alexa!" she said, pointing to the shirt...

Elijah had been tryyyiingg to learn this spell that would change rubbish into wearable apparel (apparently). As he continued reciting the incantation, or some form of it, and practicing the wand movements he all of a sudden felt a small tingling in his back.

Hm.

Looking behind him he couldn't seeeeee anything. Shrugging it off he continued trying to get it done right when he began feeling it get slightly breezy. What the heck was going ON in this classroom? Was he being pranked by ghosts or something? But, looking down he could see that he was...

TOPLESS.

At first his eyes widened at the unexpected surprise. Afterall he hadn't intended to look down to some exposed NIPPLEAGE! His head whipped around trying to suss out who it was who had EXPOSED his gorgeous, well-defined abs and muscles. Then he saw him... Oakey.

"You should really buy someone a drink, or at least some jewelry first, Oakey," he smirked at the Hufflepuff. Usually things that this little twerp did annoyed him, but Elijah didn't care if he was topless in the middle of class. After all, hadn't I mentioned the gorgeous muscles? If anything, this just gave him more motivation to successfully make a t-shirt.

Out of binbags, that is. Ew.

Penelope took a deep breath to try and focus herself again, and in that moment, she heard a familiar voice whisper in her ear. Turning, she discovered it was Kurumi, which didn't surprise her, but she did manage a faint smile. "A little, I guess," she said. She just wished she would improve faster. She hated being probably one of the last people to get this spell.

As the prefect turned her attention back to her mannequin, Penelope did the same, trying to concentrate once more. She pictured the black shirt in her mind, moved her wand in the Z shape, and said, "Summus Vestis." The rubbish bag began changing once again, turning black, looking a little less plastic-y, and growing a sleeve on one arm. That was where it stopped, but...it was more progress at least? "Reverto." On the bright side, it went back to normal the first time she tried reverting it. That was an improvement too.

She tried again, imagining the shirt in her head, moving her wand in the shape of a Z, and speaking the incantation, "Summus Vestis". Once again, the bag turned black and seemed to be growing a sleeve on each arm this time...and then it stopped. Still plastic, still sorta like a rubbish bag, still not a shirt. Sweet Merlin... "Reverto." That spell seemed to be the only one she could properly do, as it changed back to its original state almost instantly. MEH.

Nigel was still trying to get his shirt more black. But all he was getting was a white shirt. He did one more reverto than spotted Oakey spelling Elijah.

Well Nigel had no idea the spell would make Elijah topless. Elijah did not even seem angry about it. He seemed proud even. He did have muscles. Nigel would admit that. But wasn't he a little cold.

Nigel walks over to Oakey and suggests something he could do to Elijah.

"Why don't you use reverto on Elijah and see what happens."

Nigel had nothing against Elijah and since he did not look mad maybe he would not care. It could even give Elijah an awesome t shirt or maybe it would do nothing at all.

Elijah's eyes widened at the ickles suggestion, "Let's just be clear, little buddy. Oakey will NOT be performing ANY more spells on me lest he want his head to be served on the silver platters at dinner time." And with that cleared up, back to practicing. He was sure he'd be able to actually try CASTING the spell soon.

Annabelle wanted to try out the spell for another time. She wanted to make it perfect. She wanted to make a yellow sweater. A nice yellow sweater to wear. She practiced the wand motion first the Z formation. She got it down and then said "Summus Vestis!" she said confidently. But...the sweater actually turned into a shirt "Hmm...that doesn't seem right." Belle said to herself. She re did the spell using "Reverto!" then it just was gone. She may have to think more clearly on what sweater she wants. Then she thought clearly and said "Summis Vestis!" then the yellow sweater appeared! "Awww it looks so cute!" Belle smiled to herself. "I think i might wear it one day .Professor do you approve of this sweater being house colors?" Belle asked her, she kind of wanted her input.

"There you go!" Kurumi smiled as she watched Logan finally revert his...whatever it had been...back into a plastic bag. Didn't even need the whole 'third time's the charm' sort of thing since he had got it the second go around.

Which was when her attention was then drawn to Penelope - the girl who needed lots and lots of cookies, and not just because she also had a bottomless pit for a stomach. "If you put too much pressure on yourself...it can make things harder too," she said, adding a small wink afterwards. Which was advice that Kurumi should probably take herself as well.

Kurumi was just about to revert her latest design when....

*blink blink*

Kurumi's cheeks went bright pink and, as much as she wanted to just look away, she just couldn't. THEREWASATOPLESSGUYINTHEMIDDLEOFCLASS. Too bad it wasn't Lewis. So...there she was...simply staring at Elijah, the topless wonder.

Elijah was still topless and not even mad at Nigel for suggesting that. He was only mad at Oakey if he cast reverto on him. Well, whatever Nigel had to get back to work just like Elijah did. He still had to make his shirt black.

"Summus Vestis"

hoping that this time he could actually do it right.

Minerva had lost focus and was watching others make all their fun tops when for some reason something snapped Minerva out of her thoughts and student watching. She jumped from it and moved knocking over her mannequin. It fell to the floor with a clang and clatter. She looked around the room to see if anyone saw it and hurried to pick it back up, but as she picked it up it fell out of her hands hitting the floor again.

Finally she got it up on the table and made sure it was alright. Looking over the mannequin she found nothing wrong with it so she pulled out her wand to try the spell again. Making the Z she said the words a little more nervous from the anxiety of the falling mannequin she hurried through her words "Summus Vesteso" wait that wasn't right. Minerva took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. Once she felt calm she opened her eyes making the Z again, Minerva said more clearly "Summus Vestis" and her sweater appeared.

There were a lot of students done with their shirts already so Eliza figured she’d better try hers again, and soon. “Okay,” she thought to herself “Less emphasis on the cowl neck part and more on the hey-this-is-a-sweater-I-can-actually-wear part. Right.” She took one more look around the room to channel some creative energy before she turned back to her own mannequin and said, “Summus Vestis!”

Just like before, she saw the plastic bag change form into a softer and softer looking piece of material. The navy came bleeding through the threads, dyeing the garment. Stitch after stitch chased each other down each sleeve, quick as can be. The neck began forming once more and…and it worked! Eliza had in front of her a completely functional navy cowl-neck sweater. “Maybe when I get better I can practice a spell that will embroider my Ravenclaw crest on it,” she hoped silently.

She noticed another Ravenclaw girl that was also done with her shirt, so she decided to be brave and walk over to her. The professor hadn’t really said they couldn't leave their desks once they were finished, so she thought it would be ok. She was interested to see what everyone else was making anyway.

She walked up to the girl’s desk, smiled and said, “Nice blouse.” She admired it for a moment, then turned to the girl and introduced herself, “I’m Eliza.” She held out her hand for the girl to shake and to introduce herself next. “Is it weird to shake hands?” she wondered briefly, “Oh well.”

Laura decided that she didn't like the yellow sunflower shirt it was so last year. "Reverto." Laura smiled as the shirt went back into the bin bag, she was finally getting the hang of this.

Laura thought long and hard about what she wanted her top to look like, she decided that she wanted a nice pink blouse that would look good on her, maybe it should have some writting on it like Hufflepuff rocks, suddenly she thought of something. "Professor if we want writting on our top, do we just think about the writting and it will appear?" Laura didn't know if it was right or not but she would ask the Professor anyway.

She actually made her a shirt toooooooooo!!!!!

"Gee, thanks!" Lex said, beaming up at Elliot! "You're amazing! This shirt is just like the other one! Such a genius you are!" See? She could be nice and flatter people when they were nice to her. It was all a cycle...a lovely cycle that people really should have tried harder not to be left out of.

Reaching over she snatched the shirt off the mannequin and held it up. Hmm... "It's a little big...can you make it smaller?" Not that she was complaining because she really loved the shirt but baggy stuff wasn't really her style...

In all her fixation she hardly noticed that Elliot was talking to the girl from the lake. "Elliot you know that psycho?!" She yelled in astonishment, looking over at the Slytherin that had seemed so bent on arguing with her.

Okay... so maybe sorry wasn't enough, but Lily couldn't remember the drying spell right now...and plus after what just happened, did Lex really want the third year doing any more magic around her? Lily only slightly felt better when the first year asked about her wrist. "mhmm.." She murmured, nodding acknowledging that she had hurt her wrist. A quiet "nn...sorta" answered the question as to whether it was better. Truthfully, it hadn't gotten any better...even with the wrap on it. But Lily didn't have to tell anyone but Louisa...because there wasn't much they could do about it.



Candy hating girl was definitely not one to cross...ever. So Lily just kinda hung her head and frowned while this claw spoke to her. Could the professor move on so that this discussion could be over?? Lily knew that she should get her wrist checked out... but she didn't feel like having to explain to the healer why she had waited so long to get it checked out. And plus... Louisa was just as good with helping fix her wrist. So the third year just kept quiet and didn't say anything back to the scary claw.



This Kurumi, Gryffindor prefect one was the nicest out of the bunch that Lily had accidentally sprayed. She seemed to understand what the third year was going through. "Mhmm... I hurt it on the train and my magic hasn't been normal since then...but Louisa is helping me with it." This prefect had to know Louisa... since they kinda worked together. The redhead looked up at the prefect, listening intently, her bright blue eyes seeming to absorb everything that the Gryffindor was saying. "I'll definitely try..." She replied at the end, nodding slightly. So maybe she could do her magic like normal if she tried not to think about her wrist.

Penelope turned towards Kurumi when she spoke again. She...supposed that was true... "But if I don't put pressure on myself, I'm probably not going to learn it..." If she didn't push herself, she probably wouldn't try. And then she'd be the same as she was last year - rubbish. She still was now, of course, but it was something she was trying to change. Trying being the key word.

And then...suddenly Kurumi was staring off in another direction and turning pink in the face. What was wrong? Penelope followed the direction she was looking with her eyes, and only then did she see what the problem was. Why was there a shirtless guy in the classroom? Weren't they supposed to transfigure a shirt onto their mannequins, not use their own? If that was what he was doing? What WAS he doing?

But back to Kurumi. "Oi!" Penelope said loudly, waving a hand in front of the older girl's face.

Oakey's eyes grew wide as hi spell hit Elijah, he had expected a huge explosion because his wand was just a tad wild. Instead Elijah's shirt just kind of poofed away.

The Dodo brain wasn't event upset about it. That didn't stop Oakey from hopping behind his Mannequin when Elijah addressed him. "That's just wrong!" Oakey shot back at Elijah at his comment about getting him a drink and jewelry. "Why would I want to get you anything?" He furrowed his eyebrows at the older Hufflepuff. "Beside you look hideous!"


Oakey looked down at his Ravenclaw buddy Nigel and smirked at his suggestion to rerverto a shirt back on the Dodo Brain. "I'm sure if I did that, we'd all see that his muscles are big fakes." Oakey imagined doing so to Elijah and watched as the Hufflepuffs abs and muscles turned into large rolls of fat. He snapped back to reality when Elijah said something about his head on a silver platter?
"Is that a threat?" Oakey called out. "We can still take this to the Dueling Arena! I've got plenty to prove to you!"

The trash bag Transfiguration could wait!

With her trash bag shirt already transfigured, Emmanuelle was really left with nothing to do but watch her classmates struggle with the spell. Which was getting boring. She was starting to wish the professor would just move on with or just dismiss the ones who had gotten the spell already. That was, until something caught her eye. It seemed that one of her classmates had struggled with the spell SO much that he had actually made someone else's shirt DISAPPEAR. Oh my. This was just too good. Fortunately, for everyone really, said classmate wasn't horrible looking. In fact........

*WHISTLE*

Yep, Emmanuelle Moreau had just wolf whistled.

WOW!! Aidan might have grown up in a magical environment, but he never knew you could make CLOTHES out of RUBBISH BAGS!!

He crawled out of his chair and opted to sit on his desk instead. He was more height-level with the bag this way. And he just didn't feel like standing. And he could still swing his legs!

This 'Z' shape was probably one of the best wand movements ever, too. Cause it was like a sword! Swishing in all those directions.

Aidan 'Z'd at the mannequin, "Summers vesters!" He wanted a GREEN shirt!

Jory had just turned his sweater into the thrash bag again and was going to have another go at practicing.

"'Summus Vestis!" he said clearly as he made the Z shape with his wand and pictured an orange T shirt in his head.

"Let's get this right,'' he thought as he waited for something to happen to the bag at least.

"Good to meet you Ethan.." he said as he returned the greeting. He looked at his vest-thing and shrugged haplessly. Good fashion sense? "I'd... rather go for the white t-shirt myself." Couture wasnt his thing.

He was about to start over when the familiar BICKERING filtered through his ears. He turned towards the Hufflepuff duo when he did a double take. "Seriously Elijah-- he grumbled as he wrestled the vest off his dummy and nearly hurled it at the other dummy-- the one standing in the middle of the room half-naked and being wolf-whistled no less "-- get something on you." The vest he means. Its all done and made yeah? Even the other guy said it was wonderfully fashionable. Whatever it really was.

The Ravenclaw turned for his mannequin when he realized-- now he's got nothing to transfigure with.
