Transfiguration Lesson One The classroom is looking a little bigger than usual. That's so it can accommodate some extra items. Yes - you notice the chairs, desks, Professor and usual paraphernalia are not the only thing waiting for you upon entry. Stood next to each desk is a mannequin, with a name plate hung around it's neck and wearing a rubbish bag as if it were a shirt. Professor Magnus is leaning against her desk waiting to welcome you in. Say hello, sit down, and feel free to write your name on the space provided. CLASS HAS STARTED: Please do not announce your late arrival! Helpful Links |
So...this was Elliot's favorite class. Transfiguration. Professor Magnus could fun lessons without being super annoying *cough* and without making them blow things up....*cough* So she positively smirked her widest at the woman as she gracefully flowed inside...her blue eyes sparkling. "Professor Magnus," she nodded her head a bit at the woman politely. Merlin, the class looked bigger than usual! Even with all this STUUUUFFF in it. She took a seat near the front...(ahem, learning must be done!) and glanced around...there seemed to be no else here...wow. Elliot was first! Whooh! "The classroom looks bigger, Professor." She commented, her blue eyes swiveling back to Professor Magnus. |
Transfiguration. One of Cassia's favorite subjects. The second year entered the classroom with a wide grin planted on her face. It brings a nice feeling knowing that you won't much if help from other students because you aren't bad. In fact she could give a hand to others if needed. Eh….well she'd her best to help but she doesn't happen to be a great person to explain. Though she could always show her work. Stepping closer in the classroom Cassia's eyes widened seeing the mannequins. She sensed that they were learning exciting things this lesson. She stepped closer to Professor Magnus, "Hello Professor!" She greeted her brightly. After hesitating a bit the twelve-years old couldn't help asking, "Will we be turning those mannequins into ourselves?!" She blurted out the question with wide hopeful eyes. Please say yes! The second year's imagination already got activated. She scribbled down her name on one of the spaces then she bounced to a seat in the front so she could witness any interesting things going on. |
Kurumi could not have hurried any faster to the Transfiguration classroom. She had always enjoyed the subject, but now it was also presenting her with a challenge. One that had been somewhat haunting her since fifth year. It had been the only subject that Kurumi had not received an O on her OWLs and she was determined that she would get one this time with her NEWTs. "Good day, professor," Kurumi greeted as she rushed to a desk, not noticing the mannequin next to it until she was already seated in her seat. "KYA!" Kurumi nearly knocked her chair over backwards in surprise when she DID notice it and ended up sort of just blinking at it in confused surprise. What was with the name tag around its neck? And the trash bag... |
Sarah liked transfiguration, it was always fun. They did interesting things in it. ""Hello Professor" she said upon entering. She then noticed the mannequins and the rubbish bags each was adorned with. Perhaps they were transfiguring clothing today. She took much care in writing her name, as it was the beginning of the year. While she waited for the others to come, she sat down at a desk and opened her notes, revision would be great. |

Hmm.. Nope, guess not. As she hard turned to find a seat, her eyes caught sight of the Gryffindor Prefect nearing a desk, the brunette followed briskly. "Hi Kurum--" HUH? W-what?! What was with the sudden yell? "HOLYSNITCH!" ..Apparently, she yelled upon pivoting and seeing the mannequin too. Errm..Creepy? She eyed it for a bit before shifting her attention back to Kurumi, "What's with mannequin?" Beezus whispered and sat beside the girl. |
Nigel walks in and immediately noticed the mannequin wearing a trash bag. That is just weird. But Nigel was sure Professor Mangus was going to tell them why it was in the classroom. "Hello, Professor Magnus" Nigel said after he finished writing his name on a space. He walks over to empty seat, sits downs, and starts daydreaming. |
"Hello, Professor,'' Jory said as he took in the classroom. It was a bit bigger but what got his attention was the mannequins next to each desk. "Wonder what we'll be doing with those,'' he thought eying the thrash bags the mannequins wore. He headed off to find himself a seat and there he waited patiently for the rest of the class to arrive. |
Another lesson is up. Transfiguration. Juliet hurried walked over to their classroom. Transfiguration is fun, however, getting the spell wrong is not fun. Sometimes, it blows up when you don't exactly get it quite right. And Juliet is not hoping that will happen today. Walking inside the classroom, she stopped in the middle. Her eyes blinked a few more times. Was she seeing things correctly? Their's a mannequin in front with a name plate and trash bag? What was this all about? Juliet's eyes widened as her brain was simply confused. Guess she has to sit down and wait for the lesson to get started. Upon reaching to an empty seat in the middle, Juliet smiled at the professor "Good day, professor" as she placed her bag on the floor and her books on top of the table. She sat down with her eyes still stuck onto the mannequin. What will they be doing today? |
True that Aidan was excited about every new class. And true he was excited about Potions and Herbology in particular. But also Transfiguration. Ever since his sister came home that one holiday and turned his hair green. Oh, he couldn't WAIT to be able to do that to himself! Again, the professor was greeted with a booming, "HI" And the boy took a seat in the front. The mannequins didn't scare him, but they definitely caught his interest, and he stared at the one beside his desk, wide-eyed. He might have chuckled a bit at the foolish trashbag it was wearing. But hey, least they weren't nakey, ya know? |
Mannequins? They were working with mannequins today? Where they going to transfigure them into creatures? Or transfigure some clothes on them? Dora staaaaaaared at the one beside her, appraising the either white thing. Her head was filling with ideas of what they could possible do with the things while she kicked her legs out under her desk and waiting for the lesson to begin. |
Annabelle walked into transfiguration and she was excited to start lessons this term. She looked at the mannequins and gave them a skeptical look. "Hello Professor Magnus!" Belle said with a sweet smile. "What is with the mannequins and name plates?" she asked curiously. Belle went to go take her seat and was ready for the professor to start the lesson. |
Harvey entered the classroom to the lesson that he had always enjoyed, Transfiguration. He saw the professor standing there "Hello professor hope you are well and had a good summer" he smiled as he went to look for a seat, he chose one at the end of the room and saw the mannequins that were there with nameplates. Not sure what to do he sat down and waited for instructions on what to do with the mannequins and the nameplates around their necks. Why were they wearing that rubbish bag? He wondered as heard someone question what to do with the mannequin and the nameplate. |
Oakey's being a doous. Beezus and Nigel are here! There was something different about Transfiguration today... Oakey stepped into the classroom trying to place his finger on what it was that made this classroom look different. As he moved forward in class it took in a little longer to reach where Professor Magnus was standing. "Good day, Professor." Oakey greeted her still some what puzzled. he turned his attention to the desks and began heading to one, he took a seat beisde Beezus and looked at her still trying to figure out why this class was different, and why did it take him just a bit longer to get to a desk? WHY DID HE EVEN CARE!?!?! He looked up and down at the mannequin with a trashbag wearing a name tag. He quickly stood up and inspected it some before sitting back down at his desk? Was what was different Beezus? No, she looked the same as usual. Was it Nigel who was only a few seats behind him. Oakey moved around in hi seat some and looked at the younger Ravenclaw...nope, he was all the same too. Still looking directly at Nigel, Oakey spoke up. "Hey Beezus?" Oakey said to her to get her attention. "Does this class seem different?" |
Silvia quickly made her way to the Transfiguration classroom. Immediately she noticed the mannequins. Clearly today's lesson would somehow involve them, but what were the name plates for? She gave her usual "Hello Professor," before taking a seat in the second row and pulling out parchment and quill from her bag. |
This class was okay. Yeah, Theo quite liked a bit of transfiguration in the morning. He made his way to the classroom, and stood to admire the mannequins next to all of the desks. They were kind of creepy, but maybe the lesson would be kinda fun? Were they gonna do a fashion parade? Transfiguring...... clothes? Maybe. Theo skipped to a desk and wrote his name on the parchment in front of him. Looking up quickly, he BEAMED and said, "Hello, professor." How'd ya doooooo and stuff. |
We'll start soon, just wait for any stragglers Quote:

Having answered the questions the kids were posing to her, Isabelle smiled in greeting to all the others that just said hello. Adding in the odd "Good morning to you!" as she watched them take a seat and occasionally stare at the mannequins - or be startled by them as in Kurumi's case. "We'll just wait for a whatever stragglers there might be before we start. Feel free to write your names on the name plates of the mannequin next to your desk!" Or she could do it later, wasn't really incredibly important but it would give them something to do for now. |
Sutton strolled into the classroom right as the professor was finishing with her instructions while the rest of the class waited for more students to arrive. Deciding it was prudent to not cause any further delay, Sutton chose the first empty desk she came to and put her things down, still wondering (as she had been all day) what Transfiguration actually was. Following the professor's directions, she turned to the mannequin next to her desk and wrote her name in pretty handwriting on the name plate. |
Playing catch up. On vacation right now. So replies will be slow Alyssa quickly rushed into the Transgiguration room and was glad that class had not started yet. She noticed there were mannequins with name tags around its neck at each desk and wearing a plastic bag like a shirt. She then saw Professor Magnus who was waiting for stragglers like her to arrive before starting the class. Alyssa quickly walked up to her and said. "Hello Professor Magnus. Thank you for waiting." before quickly making her way to the nearest empty desk and sitting down. Taking out her books and writing material, she placed them on her desk and waited for class to start. But before that she filled in her personal information on the name tag of the mannequin at her desk. Quote:

Transfiguration was by far one of his worst classes at Beauxbatons and he was fairly certain it wouldn't go much better here at Hogwarts. Still, Ethan was here and figured he'd better make the best of it. The fifth year gave the professor a half-hearted smile and brief nod as he passed her and took a seat near Belle. "Hey..." he greeted the Hufflepuff Prefect before turning to the mannequin with zero fashion sense at his desk. He quickly scribbled his name onto the nameplate as he noticed the rest of the class doing the same. Perhaps they'd be transfiguring the rubbish bag into one of those stylish polo shirts he'd seen in Muggle magazines? he idly wondered as he laid down his quill and started absent-mindedly rolling his wand back and forth on his desk. |

She didn't see any one come in.-where was Cora? They had been walking together and then BAM she had disappeared. Eh. Weird. The other Ravenclaw was probably lost or something, she could totally see Cora getting lost. She took out her quill and stood up, writting her name on the plate neatly, and prettily. Yes. Handwritten things always had to be appeaaaaaling to the eye. Quote:

Jen walked in and looked around. "Hey Professor." She says She looked around and saw other students writing their names on a piece of parchment. She took a quill and wrote her name down and stuff Quote:

Olivia strolled into class, she was not late but she was a straggeler and found one of the last empty desks over in the back corner. "Hi professer" she greeted, on the way to her desk. Once there, she sat down and opened her bag, she took out her quill and parchement and wrote Quote:

Hannah walked into class and smiled at the professor. "Hello professor." She knew proper manner consited of speaking when you walked into a room...unless of course that person in the room was a puffer...then all bets were off obviously. She spotted her friend Elliot and went and took a seat by her. Quote:
