she laughed "sorry." she looked down still laughing "but yes there green, and i like them a lot." she pinched his cheek a bit as she chuckled

Harvey nodded and listened as she talked about being busy "Yeah I guess school stuff does keep you busy so that you dont have time to go out to the lake, but I am sure one day you will" cause they could find a little bit of spare time to go visit the lake they had to that was their spot. "Maybe you could there with someone.. maybe one of your friends.. Oakey or Sophie or someone" yeah but not him, go with anyone but Harvey. He nodded when she said that she would go soon, and he was pleased to see a tiny smile on her face, so it had worked "Yeah thats a good idea to go see that tree" he smiled a little.. well at least they were talking right now. But now what.. silence? again? no that was not right at all.

He wondered what to say next even though usually they would be talking endlessly about things that didnt even need talking about and yet here they were staring at that tree saying nothing. He then came up with a few topics that he knew would get her talking and maybe feel a little better around him "You not eating any candy? I assume you have some right? If you do I think you should eat some" and get a little hyper on the sugar that you eat.

Ella nodded. "Yeah..." Though she really didn't mind the being busy thing, having classes, homework, and Quidditch helped distract her a bit and prevented her from thinking WAY too much...most of the time. The third year raised an eyebrow when Harvey suggested she go to the lake with a friend, half expecting him to suggest himself. She was even more surprised when he suggested Sophie or Oakey. ...Oakey? Well sure, they were friends, but it was still an odd suggestion. "Oh...yeah um...maybe I'll ask one of them if they would like to hang out there." She was sure someone would be willing to go with her. "I think so too." The small badger agreed before shrugging.

Blink.Blink. Candy? "I...well I mean I have some. Did you want any?" Was that why he was asking, because he was hungry? But then he was suggesting she eat some, which was...brilliant, really. She really did need some at the moment. "Good idea." She said truthfully, digging into her pocket for gummy worms.

Damon chuckled and looked at her, "Meh, Min said they were cute... And she honestly hates when they go brown. Almost slapped me the last time actually," He shook his head as she pinched his cheek, "But I'm glad you do... Seems most people prefer them."

"aww now why would she hit your face, thats not very nice and im sure they are just as lovely brown." she smiled " i have brown eyes so i think there pretty cool." she smirked as she held back a giggle of how lame she sounded defending brown eyes

Harvey nodded and smiled a little as she agreed that she could ask a friend to go with her to the lake, yeah not him cause right now things weren't exactly right between them and until they were, Ella was right maybe they should hang out a little less. He didn't want her to feel like this all the time he wanted a happy Ella not a sad one "I dont think so.. I know one of your friends will be willing to go with you" keep a straight face and a constant tone in his voice not wanting her to know that he was beating himself up in head for having changed the girl so much. She had been so happy and laughing all the time before, and now look at her. It took alot just to get one smile out of her when before just talking about her blush got her smiling, even that blush was hard to get out of her.

He smiled as she said it was a good idea that she eat some "Well I have always come up with good ideas, so even this one had to be a good idea." he chuckled as he joked and watched her eat her gummy worm before looking at the tree, thats the Ella that he remembered one that used to dig candy out of her pockets and eat them just cause she loved candy. Well at least that one thing was still the same, she still carried candy around with her at all times. He hadn't answered if he wanted any cause she needed it more than he did right now.

Damon laughed, "What? Is my face to 'pretty' to be hit?" He asked, clearly joking, "And the brown eyes... I think she said they just aren't as nice as when they're green." He shrugged, "And now she just hates the brown because that mean's that I'm upset about something small."

"of course it's too pretty to be hit." she giggled "well hopefully then with me around we wont see them brown too often if at all." she said as she looked at his eyes again " i dont want to see you sad."

He laughed, "And I'd say the same thing about yours," Damon smiled as he traced the side of her face with his hand, "And I'm sure they won't be... Though they change for mulitple reasons... It can be for confuse, indifference, sadness... Anything that isn't calm, relaxed, or happy in someway." He nodded, "And when it gets worse, the hair gets longer and black again, same vise versa, get happier, hair goes back to shorter and red."

she smiled and put her face agains his hand as he traced her side of her face "and i know for a fact you look just as goodlooking with your black hair." she took a breath " i just dont want to see you sad. as your girlfriend now i have to keep you happy." she looked at him with a sweet smile on her face and look in her eyes

Ella could tell that Harvey was acting differently but she didn't really understand why. Through this whole...awkwardness, Ella had been the one who acted different. She was the one who had been upset. Harvey, on the other hand, had pretty much acting like nothing ever happened. So to see him suddenly acting weird was...puzzling. Frown.

Oh. There he was again, trying to joke in order to lighten the mood. Ella smiled quickly before focusing on the gummy worms again. She popped a few green ones in her mouth and chewed quietly, wondering why Harvey hadn't answered her question. Instead of asking again, she held out the bag to him, eyebrows raised. He'd take a few, right?

Damon chuckled, "And I know you're always beautiful," He shook his head, "And I have a hard time believing I'm ever going to be upset... Minus when we tell everyone, because then all we're going to hear is a bunch of scolding... And maybe another smart aleck comment on how it's so funny Max and I seem to like the same girls." He shook his head.

she blushed when he called her beautiful, she didnt think she was beautiful in the slightest but she wasnt going to argue with him "good cause we dont need you upset. and ohh yeah, that isnt going to be plesant. we should just let the news out quickly like a band aid and just get it over with so it can blow over and we can just be happy." nod nod yup that was her plan she rather everyone be in an uproar for a week and get over then sneak around adn stall it waiting and being paranoid about who saw her with her own boyfriend

He was still looking at the tree not realising that Ella had done her frowning again and he sat there as she ate her gummy worms, as he wondered everyone was right. Did he like Ella in that way and not realise it, it wasnt a bad thing to have Ella as a girlfriend cause she was a great person. Whoever got her in the end would be one lucky guy for having a great girl like her, he just wasn't sure if he was going to be that lucky guy.

He then realised that there was a bag in front of him and he looked over as he was looking at him eyebrows raised shaking that bag telling him to take some. See? thats how nice she was, after everything that he had put her through she was still offering him some gummy worms. He smiled and nodded, ok he would take some. He took a few "Thanks, you can eat the rest, you wouldn't want me going all hyper on you with that load of sugar that you are holding in your hand" he chuckled a bit at his rubbish joke as he bit the head off a gummy worm. See this was nice, she was nice.. he was bad.. right? obviously everyone was thinking so.

Damon looked at her, "I have to agree, sooner the better... And I go home every weekend, so that should be easy enough if you want to go." He nodded.

"sure i'll go with you." she stretched her legs out and kicked them a bit excited for the invitation & to leave hogwarts for even just a day "so what day & time do you usually head home?"

Ella returned Harvey's smile with a small one of her own, relieved that he had agreed to take some gummy worms. If he had refused, she really would have been worried...even though she was trying not to do that as much. "Okay...and you can have more if you want, y'know. I've already had a bag earlier." And no, she was not at all ashamed of her gummy worm addiction. Anyone who really knew Ella, knew about it. She popped a couple more into her mouth before deciding it was probably time to head back to the castle. She was feeling kind of tired after everything and she figured Harvs might want to start his...thinking or whatever. "Harvey? I think I'm going to head back now." Y'know, after she packed up her blanket and gummy worms.

"Friday after classes," Damon smiled and nodded, "But if you'd want to leave before or after that, it's fine."

she thought about it "sure, i only have potions friday afternoon so that'll work. lafay would kill me if i missed her class ." she smiled and reached for his hand holding it

He smiled and squeezed her hand in return, "Alright, Just meet me by the front gate and we can head out."

Harvey tried hard not to smile but he couldn't help it! Even if it was small she has smiled again, this was good progress right? He nodded "Um ok I guess I could take a few more of I wanted to, but not right now" cause he had a few in his hand right now. He took a bite as she mentioned that she had a bag of them earlier ""I am surprised you didn't eat two bags, just the one? I think you need more" he chuckled jokingly he knew her addiction for candy. She seemed to favour gummy worms though, so he figured mor of those couldn't hurt. He looked at her as she said that she was heading back "Oh! Oh yes you must have work that needs doing. " yeah she couldnt hang out here now that work was piling up. Plus she probably wanted to get away from him for a little bit, he would probably see her tomorrow. He stood up to help her up cause it was a nice thing to do.

"okay, so i'll meet you at the front gate after potions then? she confirmed "we should be heading in i assume curfew will be soon."

Damon sighed but nodded standing up, "You're right... I can walk you to your common room," He smiled, "After all, it isn't that far away from mine."

The smiling? It was unexpected and Ella kind of raised her eyebrows at Harvey before handing him the bag again. She guessed she shouldn't be too surprised, though. They were eating gummy worms. How could you not smile when you were doing that? Two bags, eh? Ella looked at him thoughtfully, wondering why he was suddenly pushing the gummy worms so hard. Hm. "Well um...this kind of counts as the second bag, yeah?" Even if she was sharing some this time around. ...Nod. Yeah, work. That was true, actually. She did have things to do.

The blonde watched as Harvey stood up and held out his hands to her. She hesitated for a moment, just kind of looking from them to him, before grabbing them and pulling herself up. "Thanks." She said, giving him a small smile before bending down to gather her things. Once her blanket was tucked away and she was sure she hadn't left anything on the grass, she turned to Harvey and shuffled her feet a bit. "So um...I guess I'll see you around, then?" In classes and stuff..."Well, bye." And she almost went in for a hug but decided against it, instead turning around and quietly heading back to the castle.

He saw her raise her eyebrows and wondered what that was for since he hadn't done anything or said anything right? Well he hoped not. But he thought it best not to ask. She handed him the bag again, he took it and looked at her she still wanted him to eat more? Ok just cause he didn't wanna be rude and not take any he took a couple more before handing the bag back to her. He literally wanted to slap himself as she made a very valid point it was her second bag , he nodded "Oh! Yeah .. yeah it is, that's good." he chuckled realising what he had done. He knew that candy made people feel better so he was hoping that she was feeling a little better now after eating the candy, she seemed to be a little more relaxed, that was a good sign right? he really hoped it was. He nodded back as she acknowledged that she had work to do.

He stood there with his hands out to help her up, he watched as she just sort of looked from him to his hands. He kinda hoped that she would let him help her up like they usually did to each other, he was relieved when she did but didn't show his relief, he didn't want her more awkward again. He was about to help her with her things when she gathered them herself, and made sure she had everything. He smiled a little and nodded "Yeah.. I guess.. you will" cause they were both within the grounds at all times so they were bound to bump into each other at some point. "Bye Ella.... take care" he added the last part quickly, he then noticed that she had taken a step towards him before stopping and just started her walk to the castle. He didn't even get a chance to ask if he could walk her to the castle like he always did, well except this time. He watched her until he couldn't see her anymore, he turned around and looked at the tree. Since when had things become this bad? He was suddenly feeling alone now, very alone even though there were many people around. He seriously needed to do something before things got any worse!! He decided to take a walk and he left the tree to try and hit other unsuspecting victims.
