| | The Whomping Willow Image by Destiny Planted on the grounds of Hogwarts over a hundred years ago, the Whomping Willow is an extremely violent tree that will attack anything and anyone that comes within striking distance of its limbs. So unless you want to spend most of your time in the Hospital Wing, I would keep your distance. |

Taylor glanced at the tree, debating but remembering last time, she had gotten hit and got amnesia so she pulled her legs up.

EYEROLL. Pffft.
"Um... so you have dated people and stuff, right? I have only... dated one boy. And well... he seems to be too busy to be around like ever lately. Should I wait on him to be free again? Or should I... like just break up with him. I am not sure how this relationship stuff works."
And that was not embarrassing AT ALL.
Cue the blushing cheeks and an awkward turtle!Addy. Oh, now she was naming the bird? Milton laughed. The Little Birdy That Could? "What kind of name is that?" It sounded like some silly old Muggle story that parents would tell their children or something.
Dated people and stuff... Milton raised an eyebrow at her and nodded as she continued. Oh boy... She was asking him for relationship advice, wasn't she? Milton listened and then scratched the back of his head, staring at the grass. "Ermm..." Well... Here went nothing. "Honestly, if he can't make time for you, I really don't see why you're letting it drag on. If you were important, he would find time for you." Milton shrugged a little... and then realized that sounded really harsh. "NOT..Not... that you're not important, I just meant... like... your relationship..." And... that still sounded mean. But he didn't know how else to put it. So he just left it with an awkward ending.

She wasn't sure if Milton had ever heard of it or not. She quite liked the story as a child, though.
Addy nodded as Milton spoke. She WASN'T very important so she could see that... and NO she was not offended or hurt by what he said. She merely furrowed her brow and propped herself up on her elbows. " Well I'm not very important, as it were. So that's okay. And well... he's the first and only boy I have ever dated. He is really nice. I enjoy spending time with him and since my dad hit him with a bagel he seems to be partial to him as well," she said with a casual shrug of one shoulder. " But I see what you're saying. I just... don't want to be alone, I guess." And for once she didn't blush. She let her eyes drift off over the grounds as she chewed on her lip, deep in thought.
" Oh well. Thanks for that. You've given me a lot to think about," she said with a nod.

Melanie continued to hum under her breath as she got closer towards the tree that seemed quite still at the moment. She stopped walking for a moment and took a deep breath of the warm May air. Achoo.
Yeah. Allergies. Pollen. Right. Melanie sighed, a bit grateful her allergies weren't bad at all and pulled a tissue out of her bag.
As she got closer, she could see Landon there and grinned. His hair was back to normal! That was definitely a good sign. "LANDON!!!" Melanie exclaimed, jogging over there as her glasses bounced up and down on her face. Yup. They were definitely too big. "Hello!" Melanie said, grinning, and plopping down on the grass next to him. It was nice to see Landon back to normal. As Landon stared up at the big tree, which seemed to be trying to whack the birds that was flying around it, he heard his name being called. He turned to see Melanie running towards him and he laughed. "Hello to you too." He nodded, as he watched her take a seat next to him. "So...have I missed much?" He said, with a bit of a sarcastic tone. He laid back down on the ground, careful not to mess up his hair, and stared up at the sky.

Melanie beamed at the boy and pushed the black frames higher up to make sure they didn't fall again. It was such a nice day out and all that jazz too. She should've brought like a picnic or something. That would've been nice.
Missed much? Melanie turned to look at the boy but saw him lying on the ground. "Nope, not at all," she said, still sitting up. She wasn't going to lie down on the ground... not with such a dangerous tree so close by. "Everything's been... relatively the same..." Melanie mused as she thought a bit about what had changed. Nothing came to mind for her at all. OH WAIT. "My daddy bought me a dog for my birthday!" Melanie exclaimed. That had been exciting. Yep. And that was it.
She looked up at the sky then back at Landon. "What about you?" she asked.

He raised an eyebrow at her as she said that he missed nothing. He sat up, uncomfortable to be laying down on the grass alone, and looked up at the sky. "Hmm...well I guess that's a good thing." He sighed. He looked over at her as she said she got a dog and he laughed at her excitement. "What did you name it?" He asked, watching some people walk by them. "Me? I already have a dog." The boy teased and then shook his head, "but you already know what's been going on with me..." "Though...I just broke up with my girlfriend, so I guess that's new." Landon said, looking down at the ground.

Landon said, looking down at the ground. A sticking charm? Melanie giggled and shook her head quickly. "Definitely not! What if it works like super glue and I can't ever get it off?" Melanie asked. She didn't want the glasses to be stuck to her face forever. That would be horrible! And it would probably hurt every time she tried to take them off too.
She nodded her head as she thought about the dog that was currently residing with her grandparents... because her mom didn't like pets and all, it had been the safer choice to leave him there. "His name is Munchie." Because he looked like he liked to eat a lot and Melanie had thought that was a cute name. Melanie laughed as Landon said he had a dog already. Well, Melanie had known that part already.
... And she supposed she had known about what had gone on too, making her silent for a moment.
She really didn't know what to say and when she looked at Landon she had noticed that he was no longer lying on the ground. And he seemed a bit upset about it? She didn't know how to begin or what to say about the situation at all. After a pause, Melanie found herself saying something. "Why'd you do it?" she asked, looking at him. It made no sense, especially since he didn't seem happy about it. "I mean, only if you want to talk about it," Melanie added quickly. Because he might not. "If you don't we can talk about something else... like... uhm... uh... the sky! LOOK," Melanie said pointing up at the sky. "We can talk about clouds."
Y'know... if he wanted to.
