Dated people and stuff... Milton raised an eyebrow at her and nodded as she continued. Oh boy... She was asking him for relationship advice, wasn't she? Milton listened and then scratched the back of his head, staring at the grass. "Ermm..." Well... Here went nothing. "Honestly, if he can't make time for you, I really don't see why you're letting it drag on. If you were important, he would find time for you." Milton shrugged a little... and then realized that sounded really harsh. "NOT..Not... that you're not important, I just meant... like... your relationship..." And... that still sounded mean. But he didn't know how else to put it. So he just left it with an awkward ending. |

Addy nodded as Milton spoke. She WASN'T very important so she could see that... and NO she was not offended or hurt by what he said. She merely furrowed her brow and propped herself up on her elbows. "Well I'm not very important, as it were. So that's okay. And well... he's the first and only boy I have ever dated. He is really nice. I enjoy spending time with him and since my dad hit him with a bagel he seems to be partial to him as well," she said with a casual shrug of one shoulder. "But I see what you're saying. I just... don't want to be alone, I guess." And for once she didn't blush. She let her eyes drift off over the grounds as she chewed on her lip, deep in thought. "Oh well. Thanks for that. You've given me a lot to think about," she said with a nod. |

"So...have I missed much?" He said, with a bit of a sarcastic tone. He laid back down on the ground, careful not to mess up his hair, and stared up at the sky. |

Missed much? Melanie turned to look at the boy but saw him lying on the ground. "Nope, not at all," she said, still sitting up. She wasn't going to lie down on the ground... not with such a dangerous tree so close by. "Everything's been... relatively the same..." Melanie mused as she thought a bit about what had changed. Nothing came to mind for her at all. OH WAIT. "My daddy bought me a dog for my birthday!" Melanie exclaimed. That had been exciting. Yep. And that was it. She looked up at the sky then back at Landon. "What about you?" she asked. |

He raised an eyebrow at her as she said that he missed nothing. He sat up, uncomfortable to be laying down on the grass alone, and looked up at the sky. "Hmm...well I guess that's a good thing." He sighed. He looked over at her as she said she got a dog and he laughed at her excitement. "What did you name it?" He asked, watching some people walk by them. "Me? I already have a dog." The boy teased and then shook his head, "but you already know what's been going on with me..." "Though...I just broke up with my girlfriend, so I guess that's new." Landon said, looking down at the ground. |

She nodded her head as she thought about the dog that was currently residing with her grandparents... because her mom didn't like pets and all, it had been the safer choice to leave him there. "His name is Munchie." Because he looked like he liked to eat a lot and Melanie had thought that was a cute name. Melanie laughed as Landon said he had a dog already. Well, Melanie had known that part already. ... And she supposed she had known about what had gone on too, making her silent for a moment. She really didn't know what to say and when she looked at Landon she had noticed that he was no longer lying on the ground. And he seemed a bit upset about it? She didn't know how to begin or what to say about the situation at all. After a pause, Melanie found herself saying something. "Why'd you do it?" she asked, looking at him. It made no sense, especially since he didn't seem happy about it. "I mean, only if you want to talk about it," Melanie added quickly. Because he might not. "If you don't we can talk about something else... like... uhm... uh... the sky! LOOK," Melanie said pointing up at the sky. "We can talk about clouds." Y'know... if he wanted to. |
