Maxwell nodded. "Yeah, we'll stop by the great hall. Your common room is in one of the towers, i'll show you how to get there but pay close attention. Hogwarts is a big place." |
Tay nodded then grimaced, placing a hand on her head, "Okay." |
Lex/ Tag ^_^ Right, so on this trip to the whomping willow Lex was determined to not throw things at it. Apparently not everyone thought it was a good idea...though the tree didn't seem to mind their little game. Who could complain when an 11 year took the time out to throw things so they could bat? Not everyone stopped and cared about the well-being and how entertained the tree was you know. Alexa was practically a saint. Yup. With a heavy sigh she plopped down on the ground...good enough distance away to steer clear of any swinging branches and such then stared up at the tree. "Hello again." She would have smiled but she was sure the tree couldn't see her so she refrained from that bit. "Sorry I can't play with you again...I was told not to...--but I can still be your company!" Such a giving child, she was. |

So when he looked up one more time he found himself near the dangerous boxer tree. Seriously, that tree could be in a boxing match with a dragon and it could win the fight. He steered very clear of the branches and kept great distance. His eyebrows then arched when he heard a little girl talking to the tree. What a strange little person. Slowly Tag made his way to the girl and said in a careful manner, "You do realize you're talking to a tree, right?" |
Quote:
Turning slightly she saw the boy that had been fighting in the common room...over an oreo...or something like that; meh, boys were weird. "Really? I hadn't noticed but thanks for pointing that out." She was very much aware that she was talking to a tree afterall she was the one who planted her butt on the soil and started the conversation with the ill-tempered thing. "I figured I might as well since I'm not allowed to throw stuff at it." Shrug. One of the few times she actually did what she was told and it wasn't working out very well for her; she was bored. Oh but wait, now she had company...sort of...boys counted as company too, right? "I'm Alexa, by the way." Yeah, for now she would consider the boy as company. |

The girl had some sarcasm to her, which brought down the weirdness scale for Tag. He was weird, but even he didn't talk to trees. The least he did was talk to Chinx, his lab puppy. "Okay. I just wanted you to know that you were talking to a tree. Didn't want to think you were mental or anything. Wouldn't throwing stuff at it make its branches all dangerous and stuff?" Not that it was in general already. "Hey Alexa. I'm Tag-I'm a gryffindor also." He said sitting down next to her crossed legged but faced the tree. |
Quote:
She scooted a bit when he took a seat next to her giving him enough room incase he wanted to try getting even more comfortable. "Yeah...I know...you were fighting over an oreo in the common room some some other Gryffindor boy." Things like that were hard to forget. For a moment she looked up at the unmoving tree...missing the fun they had had the last time she was here but then he gave her a legit reason to continue it! "Not really, not if you know what you're doing anyway--watch." She reached for a nearby stone and hurled it at the tree. In one swift motion it was batted off into the distance. "See, it's got a pretty wicked left hook." She reached for another stone then handed it to him. "Give it a try." |

"Well I grabbed the oreos from him and then that house elf showed up and I don't like them so I was running away with the oreos and trying to escape the elf. An that someone is my cousin." Unfortunately. But Mr. Quiff Quidditch man sure had an odd but productive way of playing quidditch. She then threw a rock at the tree and one of the branches swiped it away like a cat trying to chase a butterfly or a fly. Tag scooted backwards on the grass in fright. Alexa then proceeded to give him a rock to throw. He stared at the rock for a few seconds analyzing what would happen if he threw it. With one quick glance at her he launched the rock into the air and it hit the branch. A branch began to rumble to life and then punched the rock off into the right side of it. |

LE GASP!! "You don't like house elves???? But whhhhyyy?! They're so small and adorable and huggable and they're a lot of fun to tackle to the floor." She should know; she'd had enough experience in that field. "And a cousin huh? Jeez, and here I thought me and my cousin fought for silly things." Though it wasn't all that silly. Oreos were sugary treats which made them a top priority. Lex watched him carefully. He looked a bit hesitant about the whole thing. For a second she was tempted to warn him not to be a baby about the whole thing but then he took the rock and hurled it. She watched it sail through the sky with a wide smile on her face. "See, wasn't that fun? And no one got hurt...unless that rock lands in someone's forehead off the the distance..." But you know...what were the odds of that happening? |
He hadn't been here this term. Theo wasn't exactly a fan of the Whomping Willow, because he didn't approve of the whomping. But he decided to come along today, because despite the violence, it was pretty to look at if you stayed far enough back. And with him, Theo brought his brand new Boxing Telescope. It was a good idea to use on people that decided to sneak up on him. Cos someone ALWAYS did. La-de-da..... lookie at that tree, all big and stuff. Theo was EN-GUARDE. |

You know, the Black Lake was cooler, it had merpeople and the Giant Squid that failed to surfaced when Dustin fell on his accord to greet it. However, the lake held no interest unless you were IN it, and it was too cold to be doing so. Her blue eyes landed on the tree and a boy nearby. Was that--Was it? Her brother |

Ronnie's excited smile immediately turned into a frown as Adam said that he let Am go. "You did?" she asked, her voice soft. Awww. That was sad, they were really cute together! She sighed and pulled Adam into a big hug. "I'm sorry about that, Adam." she said, still holding him. It seemed like almost everyone was breaking up or having drama problems lately. It really bugged Ronnie. Why couldn't everyone just get along or something?! Oliver purred as Adam scratched his ears. "Meowwwww!" he nudged his head against Adam's leg, purring louder. He liked this guy! HE NICE. "Meoww!" Ronnie finally pulled away, watching as Adam pet Oliver. She chuckled. "He really seems to like you!" she said, putting her hands on her hips. D'awwww. Ollie was soooo cute. . .and so was Adam. Heh. UMMMM. Anyways. "Hey, let's go explore now." she said, punching his shoulder lightly with a smile. She was eager to walk around the corridors. Even though she'd searched for secret passages and whatnot several times, it'd still be fun since she was with Adam. |

Lex then took the time to make a list of why he should like elves but he just made a face the entire time. " Something happened last term and an elve arrived in one of our glasses with this orb thingy. I believe it was a she, and she was playing around with it like some toy and it hit my best friend and she was frozen, almost like petrified for a month. All the elf's fault." An that was why he didn't like elves. Cause that month was the most testing time of his few months of being Anya's friend. "We're like that. We have stupid silly arguments but then we can have the most random conversation ever. Its nice I guess." "I guess it was fun." The irish man said with a simple shrug. Maybe if they got more people one day and threw rocks at it all at the same time maybe something more interesting would happen. But then again, that might cause trouble and Tag didn't want to lose house points. "So, is this your first term here? I don't remember seeing you last term. Unless I'm blind." He asked her as he averted his full attention to Lex. |
He nice. Quote:
ESHPLORING. Adam grinned. "Sure! Where to first?" He coud let Ronnie the Tour Guide pick, since she knew well enough to not get her leg sunk in the stairs. O____o |
Eshploring. XD *dies of laughter* Quote:
Hmm...where to first...lettsseeeee here....Ohhh! "Well, there's this room on the fifth floor that I've seen several times but never really checked out before. Wanna go see?" she asked with a grin. This would be FUUUUN! |
Quote:
Right in the middle? Well she supposed he could put it like that... "Yeah, I guess." Shrug. Did it really matter who called her weird first or last or whatever? In the end she would look at them all and laugh because being mental was fuuuun and more people needed to try it more often. Sigh, non mental people were the real weird ones--MERLIN'S BEARD!!! "You're a what?!" Yes she had heard him the first time but it needed a minute to sink in. "So then...you'e all lucky and you have gold too?" Fancy that, a Leprechaun. Then people thought she was the mental one....Unless of course he was being serious...STARE. "Oh wow! I think that'd make me wary of them too...well...the baby ones anyway because I find the older ones too fun to stay away from." They were just so funny with their responses when she tackled them. Well...funny until she made that one elf cry. How was she supposed to know how sensitive it was??? So that's how him and his cousin were. "That's sounds more like me and my neighbour." Yeah...she and Will had had some pretty wild times. "But couldn't you have shared the oreos?" A stupid question seeing as she would have tried hexing anyone who tried taking her oreos but you know, maybe this kid was different. She beamed at him when he admitted that it was fun. Thought of it all by herself and she was proud. "Yup tonnes, but the older kids won't join me...they say it's stupid." POUT. Of course the pout didn't last long as she focused on his next question. "Yup, 100% first year!" BEAM even more. What could she say, she was a first year and proud! "But I guess you obviously aren't so what year are you in?" A good question to ask and while she waited on the response she picked up another rock and hurled it. Quite suddenly the tree knocked it square in her foreheard. HFVEFUEEVVFEJB! "Owwww!!!" She shouted, both hands flying to her forehead immediately. Alexa began stomping her foot to distract herself from the throbbing pain but it huuuuuurt. GAH!! Stupid tree!!!" |
Quote:
He whirled around, telescope turning with him, and KAPOOWWWWWWWW. Right in the face. "Y-You know... this is... why people shouldn't sneak up on people." Especially Theodore. He just freaked every time, but this telescope had officially become his new gadget for punishing peeps. "Are you okay?" Just cos he was a gent. |
Quote:
If he answered something before the punching telescope met the left side of her forehead, then she didn't catch that. Ouch? Her hand went up to the spot that thing hit her. Or the boy, really, because he was the one holding it. "I wasn't sneaking up on anyone," she said, as she frowned ever-so-lightly. "You should be a little bit more careful with that, by the way...," her hand was still on her forehead. No blood or anything, which was good. And her eye wasn't hurt either. A plus. "...unless you really mean to hurt others." That was just plain MEAN...unless they deserve it. Then she smiled, "I'll be alright. I may get a bruise, though, but that's okay...," this probably meant she could BLAME someone for it, and at this thought her smile began turning into a smirk. "Thanks," for asking, and giving her something to complain about if she wanted to. ^^ |
So this was a tree that hit people, right? Like actually, physically lashed out? Of course he had to check it out! |
The Whomping Willow. Abby wandered down to the grounds until she stood close to the scary looking tree. Not too close. She'd heard some pretty scary stuff about the tree and she had no intention of breaking her bones. She was about to turn around and find a place to sit when she noticed a familiar looking boy who seemed to be admiring the tree. "Almond!" Abby smirked at the boy and stood next to him, looking curiously at him before her eyes shifted back to the tree. "What are you doing?" Heh. Just curious. |
Quote:
"You?" |
Abby wasn't going to get used to 'Albie', that's for sure. She hated it. She rolled her eyes at him, refusing to acknowledge the silly nickname. Climb the tree!? She raised her eyebrows, wondering if he knew how stupid he actually was. No one could CLIMB the whomping willow. Unless he wanted to end up in the hospital wing. "I'm not going to let you try." Abby smirked and linked her arm through his before dragging him away from the scary looking tree. As much as she hated people in general, she didn't want to see them try doing stupid things. If she could help it. |
Quote:
Assessing the tree, he tilted his head slightly and tried to work out a path up it. If it moved, that'd just be more fun, right? RIGHT! But wait, she was dragging him away? Following her without much complaint because she'd caught him off guard, he glanced back at the tree. "You know, you're just making me more determined to climb it now." If someone said it was impossible, he would do his best to prove them wrong. |
Hm. "Okay.. if you can come up with a better one." Abby said doubtfully, although she was pretty sure he'd call her something that was equally bad. "Why can't you just call me Abby?" After a couple minutes, she stopped and turned around to face the tree, her arm still linked in his. She didn't want him going back there. "I admire your determination to climb that tree but I suggest that you don't do it. That tree is evil. Besides, I'll bored. I don't want to be standing around while you attempt to climb the willow." And, Abby didn't like being bored so he just had to hang out with her. He didn't really have a choice. Heh. |
