Awarlesta stopped behind her brother, Manolo, who was standing looking at a the wall between 9 and 10. "This is it." He said turning to look at them. Their mother looked pale. "Are you sure we can't come to Hogwarts with you?" Awar eyes widened, "What?! No." Manolo chuckled and took his mother by the shoulders. "Maaaaybe you should stay out here, Mom. You look like you saw a ghost." Mrs. Black nodded and turned to Awar. "Study hard, honey, okay? Stay out of trouble and have fun, darling. We'll see you in the holidays. Love you, Juliet." "Love you too, Mom." They embraced tightly and kissed goodbye. Manolo held out his hand. She took it and together they ran towards the wall. |
Emeilia looked around nervously. She didn't see Mum or Caden. She wondered if she should go, but decided to wait a moment. Dallas walked up to his adopted daughter and took her hand. "Come on sweetheart. The Hogwarts express is waiting." Emeilia nodded and bit her lower lip a bit nervously. She began walking toward the barrier with her dad and as they passed through she closed her eyes. On the other side she opened them and Gasped at the beauty of the platform. |

They agreed on that, at least! If they were in the same house, maybe they could get some super big, awesome parties going in the common room or something. YAHHHH. Ohh, right. His parents thought his friends were being a bad influence and a distraction. "Oh, okay. Parents know best, right?" Pffffft. Sarcasm. Chace-ee Chace-ee Chace-eeeee. CLEARLY, he didn't know a good thing if it hit him square in the face. In that big, chiseled jaw of his. "Mmyeeeah." AND he was correct in that assumption as well. "Yah, don't really hear 'no' very often. Every now and then, though." With those super goody, committed ones. Cheating, hah! Valerie LAUGHS in the face of cheating. "Such a negative term, Chacey." She shifted her weight and toyed with the tips of her hair. 'Cheating' sounded so bad. To him, at least. Frankly, Val didn't care WHAT you called it. So, she leaned in closer to him and pulled on the drawstring of his hoodie. She looked up at him and smirked before moving her lips beside his ear. "I won't tell if you don't." She then pulled back and gave an innocent shrug and a smirk. "Think about it, Denver!" And with that, the girl raced through the brick wall in her expensive designer pumps. |
Elliot dragged her trunk behind her...and she had her lacy school bag slung over her back. Her blonde hair was getting long, actually, and she flew behind her in the wind. Her icy blue eyes, usually full of bitterness lately, were actually narrowed in utter ANNOYANCE. Her Aunt Delilah was being very annoying. She kept asking who that boy was...back there. And Elliot wasn't saying a word because he was NOTHING but a friend. But of course, she didn't want to waste her breathe on her aunt. Especially since her own parents weren't even there..which made the fourth year claw even moodier than usual. She sighed, watching as all these people scurried around her, and she saw a few people she recognized as hogwarts students going through the wall. She didn't feel like boarding yet...but she didn't much feel like standing here, either. Ugh. |

"I can get through the barrier," Gideon remarked, eyeing her as if she was daring him. "I was just trying to be helpful and watch out for those who needed assistance." Like yourself he almost added but he opted to keep that part quiet. |

Xing pushes his trolley near the platform, squinting his eyes, trying to look for the few friends he has. Meanwhile, Lei is fast asleep on one of the trunks. Bloody feline could sleep anywhere at any time. |

Chace couldn't help but softly chuckle as Valerie confirmed that she and him had very different definitions of the word. He continued to stare at her with an amused expression on his face. Such a negative term? "I didn't know that there was any way to apply a positive term to such a dishonest act," Chace said, the amusement still showing on his face. Chace merely stood there, watching her as her hand wrapped itself around the string of his hoodie, and gave it a tug. He continued to stand there, looking straight ahead as she moved her lips up to his ear. I won't tell if you don't. Chace smirked and shook his head lightly. Chace smiled at her warmly as she shrugged and went off. Think about it? Hmm...uh...no. Maybe if he still wasn't sure that things were going to go anywhere with Abby, he would explore the waters with her. After all she definitely seemed like she knew how to have a good time, but...eh. Girls who didn't have a problem with cheating always left a bitter taste in his mouth. Unless you weren't looking for something serious...then he didn't really care. But Chace had a feeling things with Abby were going to be better than they ever could be with miss Louis V over there. Grabbing his stuff Chace strolled nonchalantly right through the wall. |

These thoughts were probably why her cheeks were glowing a deep pink as she made her way through the crowded platform while she brushed a strand of her long black hair behind her ear and adjusted the strap of her tank top. Her trolley was somewhat empty compared to the others, not owning too many possessions herself nor really requiring much, and besides her trunk and cat carrier, there was only one humble bag that Kurumi had managed to perform an Undetectable Extension Charm on for all of her books. Pushing her trolley forward, Kurumi noticed a small boy - first year by the adorable dazed and confused look on his face - and Kurumi brought her trolley to a stop beside him. Violet eyes on the boy, Kurumi leaned over a bit and whispered. "First time getting on the platform?" she asked, nodding in the direction of platform 10 and then eyeing the ticket in his hand. Yep, definitely a first year Hogwarts student. |

She was really glad she didn't have a pet. They seemed like such a pain in the butt when it came time for the Hogwarts Express. But it seemed that almost eevvvveerryone had pets. And that was weird. Speaking of pets, Elliot eyed a boy nearby with his cat. His cat was really pretty...like really pretty. She could admire a pretty animal. But the bloke looked...lost. Or did he? Elliot couldn't. decide. "Your cat is really very pretty," she commented to him, peering into the cage with her eyes on the feline. Yep. Elliot could be nice...she could. It was possible. |
Her dad, standing beside the wall, was still laughing as he sees her daughter on the other side, looking agitated and nervous. "Come on, Felds! Don't be scared. I'll teach you.", her Daddy yelled at her. "Just focus. All you have to do is walk up straight to the wall. That's it! You got it?". Befelda's Dad was eager to guide her daughter to the train. "Ok, I'll try. I'm so nervous. Does it hurt?", she nervously asked. "Of course not! It's as if there's no wall standing there. Yes?". "Yes!", she answered attentively. "Alright then. Grab your trunk. Don't forget Furball. Together... 1...2...", as the 2 looking at each other and smiled, they hurriedly walk up straight to the wall between platforms 9 and 10. And they zoomed away. |
just to let you know, kitty has no cage :P Quote:
"You are..?" the boy hesitantly speaks in a low voice, raising an eyebrow in question. "Oh! How rude of me. I'm Xing. Xing Canterbury." |
he has an accent, no? Quote:
Weird name. Xing. But she cold appreciate it. Elliot's name was no...common name. Especially for a girl. "Not rude at all, don't worry." She was rather amused by him at the moment. Yep. Amused and instructed from brooding thoughts of her father... And she did notice his accent...and wondered where he was from. It seemed a lot of foreigners were going to Hogwarts lately. Ezra was from Australia...and, well, Her sister was going to Beauxbatons...so she guessed her sister was a foreigner! How Odd. The thought made her smirk. |
yes, he has THE accent Quote:
By the way, "Which house are you..?" he asks, but then he pauses as he realises that they are still on the muggle side of the station. "...I mean what YEAR are you in?" Xing quickly covers up for himself before he spills it out. |
:d Quote:
She smirked...she didn't usually care about muggles..and keeping her voice down...meh, they didn't know what was going on, silly things. "Ravenclaw," she replied, drawling almost. Her blue eyes flickered to his cat again. "May I pet you..?" she glanced at Xing..."What's his name?" Because...well it was nice to address people by their names! "And I am a fourth year..." Nod. Fourth year. THe halfway point. Which was weird for Elliot. |
Quote:
In response to Elliot's request, Xing throws another glance at his larger-than-last-month kitten, nodding at her. "Sure. Go ahead. He does not bite," he assures her. "The name... Lei. It means 'thunder' in Chinese," says he before she could even ask the meaning behind the name. And... Ah! She's a fourth year... Ravenclaw? Ravenclaw. |
Annabelle took a deep breath. She was quite excited to be going back to Hogwarts. She was a new prefect after all. She had many challenges ahead to conquer. She jogged a little bit with her suitcase, Charlene her snow owl in the cage and all her other equipment she needed. The wall sucked her in and then she ran into blackness and then on the other side, she saw the Scarlett Steam Engine known as the Hogwarts Express. She knew she was home already. She was going to miss her parents and brothers and sisters, but she can always write to them and they can send muggle pictures. |
Text Cut: Mrs. Lewis XD Pao continued to stare at the trains, searching for a sign that said "Platform 9 3/4 this way." He had just made up his mind to push his trolley up and down between 9 and 10 when he heard someone whisper in his ear. "Ah!" he yelled, jumping in panic and knocking his toad's cage to the ground. He hastily bent to retrieve it, cheeks flushing in embarrassment. Straightening up, he replaced the cage and turned to face the girl. "Er.. yes. Nine and three quarters, you mean?" He had to make sure. After all, it could just be a muggle taking pity on a lonesome boy. But when he made eye contact.. Woah, purple! That's probably a witch. He did a quick scan of her possessions. Cat, trunk.. yes, this girl could definitely be going to Hogwarts. The first year gulped and tried to work up his courage. "D'you.. er, d'you think you could show me where it is?" He was loathe to think that it was right in front of him and this older student would find him dumb. If there was one thing he didn't like, it was people thinking he was stupid. |
Silvia strolled into the station and immediately towards the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. Her father pushed the trolley with her things beside her. Already the place was crowded with both muggles and magical folk, mostly students, trying to get through the barrier. They waited for a few of the students to go through, and then casually looked around to make sure they weren't attracting any attention from muggles. "Ready?" Mr. Talbot asked, and Silvia nodded. She had already passed through the barrier several times before and knew what to do. So when the way was clear, she put her hand on the trolley and together they pushed it at a brisk walk, disappearing between platforms 9 and 10 moments later. |
Quote:
Yep. Elliot just introduced herself to a kitty. "What about you? What year and house are you?" she asked curiously..she looked at the boy, her eyebrows still raised. And no, his accent did not go unnoticed. |
Quote:
"Genevieve Branxton." She offered her free hand for a firm shake. "But I don't need help through the barrier... just finding it, apparently. And now I have." Well. He'd pointed it out to her, but whatevs. |
Quote:
"Gideon Gert, nice to meet ye," he returned, the seventh year accepting her offered hand and giving it a polite shake. 'Well then...ladies first," Gideon offered, stepping back motioning to the wall so she could handle her entry. |
Quote:
She bristled a bit at the chauvinism, especially since she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of him. Again. BUT it would be worse to insist he go first, since that would make her look uncertain. "Fine. Thanks." She shoved her trunk out ahead of her and disappeared through the barrier. |
Quote:
But in the end she handled it well enough, pushing her belongings and herself through the barrier with no trouble. With that said and done, the prefect figured it about time he went through himself. So after making sure his stuff was still secure and grabbing ahold of the handle of his cart, he turned it a bit better so he was lined up properly before following Miss Branxton to the other side. |
SPOILER!!: just accepted that nickname now have we? XD EEEEEK! Oh Merlin, way to go Hollingberry. Flailing her arms for just a few moments, Kurumi lunged not towards the panicking boy but towards the poor toad who was trapped in his cage as it fell towards the ground. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry," she said, bowing a few times as he got to the cage first. "I-I-I didn't mean to startle you. Are you okay...and your friend?" Because the poor toad was probably all shaken up too. Tugging on her hair for a moment, Kurumi glanced down the platform again just to make sure that they had not drawn any attention to themselves by those of the nonmagical variety before her gaze was back on the young boy. "That would be the one," she nodded. "I got lost trying to find it my first year too." Nodding her head again before responding, Kurumi crouched down a bit to take a better look into the cage and check on the toad. Poor little guy. "Sure, but we should wait for your toad to calm down a little. Going through the barrier can be a little stressful for creatures at first...running straight towards a wall and all." Walnut had been very displeased to be sure. VERY displeased. |
Text Cut: Cookie Elf After diving to retrieve his horned toad, he almost smacked right into the girl because she had the same idea. Wouldn't that have been a great way to start my year, taking out an older student? After checking, he assured her, "No, Thomas is fine, thanks. Just a little shaken up, I think." Oh, wait. "And I'm fine too!" he added, realizing that part was also slightly important. He had been a bit preoccupied wondering why she was bowing to him. He noticed her glancing away. She's probably embarrassed to be seen with me, he realized. It couldn't possibly be cool for an older student-- a pretty student-- to be fraternizing with a clumsy little first year. Pao was so busy with his thoughts that he missed her next remark. But she must have verified or else she would just walk away thinking I'm a nutter, he reasoned. "You did?" The first year found that surprisingly comforting. Maybe he wasn't so dumb or uncool after all if she was willing to tell him that. "Wow, you're really thoughtful! You must really like creatures if you're so concerned about them." So she was smart and loved animals. Yup, definitely a cool person. But, what was this talk of running straight at a brick wall? Rather than appear ignorant, he feigned knowledge. "I wish I had a cloth or something.. Maybe I'll drape my jacket over Thomas's cage when we go through so he's not frightened." The Italian rummaged in his trunk until he found what he was looking for. "Okay Thomas, time for a little early nightfall," he said, draping his jacket over the cage. "Okay, he's probably set now. He's a pretty hearty little toad." Especially since the clock was moving ever closer to the 11:00 mark.. |
