Taryn was seated on the floor, back against the wall, legs crossed and well out of the way of passers by. She had an incredibly heavy and incredibly large book on her lap and she was ATTEMPTING to read it, but well, it wasn't working out so well. She was too distracted for studying. Silently, she tugged her hair back into a ponytail so that it wasnt hanging around her face and being distracting. Glancing around the page, she skipped back a couple hundred lines and tried again.

Aspen let Egbert loose as soon as she entered the passageway that housed her friend. She hadn't much talked to her friends this term, instead keeping a distance from anyone that was related to blood. She had her reasons.

Egbert flew up and attached himself to an overhanging wall sconce, and Aspen settled on the floor under him, near Taryn. The book got a glance over, but that was it. Friends didn't need to greet each other right?

It probably made more sense to study in the library since she was actually on the same floor, but there were too many distracting people in there. So, she'd come into the hallway and still... distracting people. Though Aspen hadn't even said a word, she was still distracting. Best friends took precedence over studying, obviously.

Taryn closed the book and it gave a LOUD thud that echoed through the whole hallway. Whoops. Glancing up, she waved at the bat, "What's up, E?" Hehe. Cute. Then she looked at the girl next to her, "Hello welcome distraction, long time no see." She nudged her friend and tilted her head, "Have you missed me?"

OF COURSE she had!

Egbert wasn't exactly the friendly neighborhood bat (he was Aspen's after all), but he did yawn and be otherwise cute for Taryn.

Aspen, on the other hand, gave her friend one of those loooooooks. Aspen took all questions serious, even silly ones, but one LOOK at Taryn and the Ravenclaw knew the answer was already answered within the skull of the Slytherin. No answer from Aspen required.

"What are you studying?"

"A big boring book." Taryn slid it off of her lap and transferred it to her friend's lap instead. "Something about goblins." Or something like that. She had obviously not been paying much attention. "Let's not talk about it, let's talk about Aspen, how is Aspen?"

Come on, Odessa. Share. Let's bond.

BLINK. BLINK. Aspen wasn't often the immediate reactionary sort but...

Goblins and BORING? In the same sentence? In the presence of Aspen? WHAT.

No.

No no no.

She was affronted on behalf of the rich, eloquent, and utterly fascinating history of goblins. She wanted to take the book from her friend entirely, but managed not to.

"Aspen doesn't want to talk about Aspen," she answered honestly, quietly, and with a little bit of warning to her tone. Mostly, Taryn probably wanted to tell her about Taryn. Which was fine. "You can tell me what you've been up to though."

Oh right. Taryn almost forgot about Aspen's creepy love for goblins and their history. Well then, she could have the book. If Taryn actually owned it, she'd give it to her. Heh. But oh well. The damage was done and there was nothing she could do about it.

Aspen shrugged at the accusation, and again at the question. "The better question would be to ask what it is I want to talk about," because obviously she wasn't going to talk about the things she didn't want to. To be honest, Aspen wasn't actually sure WHAT all the things even were that were keeping her from maintaining friendly and healthy relationships with her friends.

She got a cheese curl from her robes' pocket and tossed it up to Egbert.

"I want to talk about your relationship with the Professors. Are there any that would give you a note to the Restricted Section?"

Taryn was used to Aspen's personality, but lately she seemed a bit more... odd and she wasn't sharing reasons why, either. Taryn wasn't really sure what to think about that, but she just let it go.

And raised her eyebrow. "Right." Was she serious? The blonde laughed. "I couldn't think of one. If you want in there why don't you get one yourself?" ALSO. Question number two. "What do you want anyway?" SPILL THE BEANS, ODESSA.

As Ronnie walked with Adam along the fourth floor corridor, she noticed something she hadn't seen before. A TAPESTRY! Oh boy! Now this was neat! "I wonder if there's anything behind it..." Ronnie said, peeping behind it. "It looks like there was some passageway or something. But it's sealed off." she said, turning away from it to Adam with a frown. *sigh* This exploring wasn't as fun as she expected it to be. There was nothing exciting here, really! ...well, at least she got to be with Adam.

Adam grinned as a Tapestry suddenly appeared in the corridor. There should be something behind it, yeah? Ronnie beat him to the looking-behind thing though. AND THERE WAS NOTHING? Just an old sealed passage. POUT. Adam wanted a reeeal working passage. Reaching out to take Ronnie's hand so they could find another place, he realized he hadn't exactly let go since she had grabbed it upstairs. Heh heh. "I'll pick the next place!" He led her towards the second floor.

Ronnie smiled. "Okay." she said, her cheeks a little red at the fact that they were STILL holding hands. So...that meant he was okay with holding hands with her. Did that mean...he...no, that can't happen...

Vickers made his way towards the 4th floor, eyes carefully scanning the paintings and various statues for that tapestry Louisa spoke of. Cradled between his hands was a curious looking red colored wooden triangular cylinder, a little over a foot high with its triangular base about the width of his hands side by side.

When he found the tapestry he set the triangular cylinder standing upright on the ground and touched the small parchment that had Louisa's name scribbled carefully across it. Hearing the clock tower ring out meant that the Head Girl will be making her way soon to this floor. Quickly he stood and sneaked behind the tapestry to hide himself at the mouth of the passage, peering behind the heavy fabric as he waited for his girlfriend to show up.

Getting up to the fourth floor from the courtyard never took that much time for the Ravenclaw, but every few steps a kiddo would ask something or look like someone who needs a firm look to NOT do whatever their hyper little minds were thinking of doing. Louisa had the urge of shouting Hallelujah when the corridor was empty and peacefully extended in front of her. She looked around, spotted a painting with a lady and a mirror and approached, patting her hair and fixing her uniform tie, did mirrors in magical paintings worked on them? The woman in the painting spotted this tall girl trying to peer into her wall mirror, invading her painting's privacy! So she started blocking the view, sticking her tongue out at the outsider smugly.

If she wasn't already late, Louisa would've lagged behind and showed this old painting lady who's boss and ALIVE. Since this was the case, she trusted her hands blindly and moved away from the wall to where the tapestry was.

There was no Vickers there. Was she too late? Did he get too impatient? Was he lost? Did-- Oh! Her eyes spotted the red cylindar, sitting on the floor all alone. That was.. weird. Only when she walked closer did she see the parchment with her name on, Louisa's face beamed as she crouched before the 'gift' and opened it.

"Wow." She blinked, and watched the rosy figure spin elegantly with the music. "This is.. brilliant.." she couldn't help but mutter, her hand gingerly hovering over the spinning flowery 'doll' eager to touch it.

Damon walked up quietly, looking around he smiled. It seemed like there was barely anyone there which worked to his advantage seeing how he was wanting to start writing again, he'd stopped last year not really enthused with the idea after a while; but it was back now and he was determined to start and finish the book he'd quit.

Minerva was walking around. She had never been here before, but she was bored and without a common room she had some time to kill. Headed no where not paying attention she saw a figure and jumped. "Oh Damon, hey, you scared me." It wasn't really his fault, she should have paid attention better, but her mind was in a million and one places.

She then smiled, "Saw you at the match this past weekend.. What's going on wit you and Ariana? I know you were there watching her and don't try to tell me you weren't. I know better." She smirked at him. She knew she would have liked to seen him with Belle, but him and Ariana back together made her happy as well.

Damon looked up at Min with a small smile, "The first person I've scared looking normal." He smirked as he slid his black notebook into his bag. He did blush slightly when she asked about him and Ari, "Well, we met up after the game and talked, and we both decided we'd be together again.

Minerva laughed, "Well I never thought you were scary either way, so scaring me was new I guess." She noticed the notebook, but decided not to say anything, if he wanted to say what he was doing here all alone he would, if not it was none of her business. "So what's my green eyed friend doing today? I'm glad you seem in a better mood." She sat down next to him.

Then he said about the game and she began to smile. "Hmmm should have said something about you being there in my commentary, let everyone know Ari was off limits." She chuckled and nudged him a bit, hoping he wouldn't mind her joke. She knew he wasn't very happy with all the socializing he was forced to do lately. Then she got excited and bounced a bit, "Your back together, that's fantastic.. Oh that is great news.. Congrats Damon.. how wonderful."

Damon laughed, "You'd be the only one Min." Damon shrugged to her question, "Just writing." Simple answer as always with him.

"I repeat, got back together after the game." Damon smiled at her, "So that fact would've been wrong... At the time anyways." He chuckled seeing her so excited, "Well, thanks for the congrats."

Minerva laughed, "I bet there are others.. Your goth look isn't that scary, but I do pick the green eyes, but I guess you know that." She giggled at her friend. Then he made her curious, writing, a smile crossed her face. "A poem? I like your poems..or are you writing a song? Maybe something for Ariiiiaaaannnaaa." She laughed joking with him. "So mister.. does this mean all this dumb talk about not coming back to hogwarts is over?" She hoped he was done with that.

Minerva chuckled, "What's your point, before the game, after the game.. People need to know she is off limits." Sticking her tongue out at him she nudged his shoulder a bit. "Well as cute as I thought you and Belle were, this does make me happy. Part of our group can hangout again and be civil. You know we all haven't hung out all term." She frowned at this missing her friends together.

Damon shook his head to her guesses, "I'm getting back to writing that book I started last year." He gave a small nod, "But I did write a song for Ari, but she's already heard it. I think she liked it." He laughed, "That talk ended about four weeks ago when Ari told me she didn't want me to leave."

"Well, she wasn't off limits during the game." He stuck his tongue out right back at her, nudging her as well, "No, Belle's a nice girl, but I don't think anything was going to happen there." He shrugged, sorry to disappoint.

Minerva smiled, "Well that's nice to be getting back to your book. I want to read it when it's all finished." Of course she wanted to read it, it was her friends book, it had to be good and she was excited to read it for him. Then she smiled a bit more, "Of course you already wrote her a song, why would I have ever thought differently." She chuckled at him. "I bet she didn't like it, I bet she loved it. You are just so talented. I know she enjoyed it." Then she clapped her hands excited, "Good, because your last term should be here with your friends, not off somewhere with strangers, and you hate strangers, so end of story."

Minerva rolled her eyes, "Oh come on.. You two still had feelings for each other, so of course she was off limits during the match." Rolling her eyes she sighed, "Damon your so blind at times, something could have been with Belle, that was obvious, but I am super happy for you and Ariana. You know the four of us need to hangout at sometime. You need to meet Ethan." She blushed a bit, he wasn't the only one that started dating someone after that match...

Damon nodded, "Of course," He smiled at her, standing up quickly, "She did seem to like it... Would you like to hear it? And I'm not that talented." He laughed slightly at her reaction to him staying, "The strangers would just put me back to what I was like two years ago before I met Taylor, never knew anyone else." He shrugged, "So it's not like it would be anything I wouldn't have been used to."

"Having feelings for someone doesn't make them off limits though," Damon smiled at her. Then shook his head, "Belle was a nice girl, I'll admit but I don't think I could like her more then a friend, or maybe a sister, like you are." He smirked at her next statement, "So you finally admitted you liked him then? I'm sure it would be fun, though Ari and I might be leaving this weekend. I haven't seen Dad in a long time, I'm sure he misses me."

Minerva looked at him as he stood up so fast, why was he standing she wondered. 'Oh Damon you are so talented and you need to be aware of that. I would love to here the song." She smiled at her friend, but then frowned a bit, "Isn't it nice to have all these friends now though? Why on earth would you want to go back to not having friends around?" Being a very social person she couldn't understand why anyone would care to be alone. It just seemed a bit strange to her and she was glad he wasn't going to be somewhere he didn't know anyone.

Minerva grinned, "Well in this case it did, so there.." She laughed playing the role of younger sister for a moment taunting her older brother. She was so blessed to have a few friends so close to her that she thought of as family since she didn't have any family other then her grandparents. Then it was her time to blush a bit, "Yes it was right after Christmas break. I saw him in the kitchens and I just told him how I felt. So we went on a date and have just been getting to know each other. He is very nice and I really think you'll like him Damon." She knew she was starting to go on and on, but she just couldn't stop. "After the match is when he asked me to be his girlfriend. Maxwell is kind of being a jerk to him, so I can't wait for my nicer friends to meet him, so he knows that not every guy friend of mine is going to threaten him." She pouted a bit still irritated at the way Maxwell acts towards Ethan.
