When not in use for games, the Quidditch Pitch is open for students to practice their Quidditch skills before attending team tryouts, and it's also open for students to practice their flying skills (make sure you get a broom from the Broomshed!) Note: There isn't any Quidditch equipment available for use nor is there any available in the Broomshed. Anyone who is wishing to use any Quidditch equipment must first get permission from Professor Vindictus and allow him to provide you with the equipment (it's locked up). Failure to abide by this simple and practical safety rule will result in the loss of 5 points per offence. Those who repeatedly break this rule can receive detention and/or lose posting privileges in this part of the school.
Once the Quidditch season officially begins, team captains can 'book the field' with Professor Vindictus for practice and non-team members can watch practices occur. When practices aren't in session, the pitch is open for flying practice.
Note: This thread is for IC role playing and not chatter. All SS rules apply in this thread.
The stomach of a cow? Max burst out laughing at such a bizarre statement, but he TOTALLY understood. "I do that, too - it's rare that I don't have some form of candy in any of my pockets. The only time I don't is when I'm going flying. I'd hate to have it fall out of my pockets up here and waste precious food, y'know?" He was sure she understood that, but he wished he had brought some just this time. Though... it probably would've melted under his heavy coat.
Ugh. Tea by the fireplace. With... cuddling. Max had never had the opportunity to properly do that before. He and Ellie had 'cuddled' before, he supposed, but it wasn't... in the proper cuddling way. It had never meant anything, and there hadn't usually been anything behind it besides wanting to be warm and be close to each other. In this case, though, Max and Emmaleigh needed that kind of close time to... warm up, wind down, and talk things over. After all the words that had just been exchanged, they needed to have a real talk - a talk that could happen with eye contact and hugs and smiles and happy feelings.
Those treasured talks that somehow managed to make time seem to stop and two hearts come together as one.
Fireplaces? He wasn't sure. There had to be, he thought. He... couldn't think of one though. Besides the one in the kitchens, but he didn't think the house elves would appreciate them being in their space. And Max always just retreated to his favorite spot by the one in the Ravenclaw common room. But then... Emmaleigh made a suggestion, and his eyes flickered back to hers with curiosity. Hm. The Room of Requirement? Well... that could work, couldn't it? If they needed a place to warm up to remedy the probable frostbite they had... maybe... just maybe... "That's... a really good idea, Em. We could try it." Good. Date two, part two was set!
As he leaned over to offer himself to help her stand up, Max turned his eyes down toward the ground, waiting for her to accept his shoulder. And then... he landed in the snow, instinctively catching himself with his hands before his face could make contact with it. He gasped dramatically at her, faking an expression of complete shock, then his expression softened; he simply smiled. "Nice view down here." He was referring to his view of her, but he wasn't sure if she'd catch that. "You're lucky I can't feel my face or fingers right now," he teased. "I will get ya back for that later when... I have some feeling back again." He would have loved nothing more than to wage a snow war or something of the sort, but... he didn't want to increase her risk of developing a cold after today's adventures.
No. There would be other times for that. Like maybe their next walk, perhaps? Heh.
Max sat up on his knees once more, offering a shoulder once again. "I think there's a warm room calling our name. If you want, we could stop by the kitchens first and pick up some tea?"
Max kept candy in his pockets? “That’s good to know.” She said grinning. She might just have to take advantage of that, if he was willing to share. She was definitely willing to rifle through his jacket pockets for candy.
He thought the Room or Requirement was a good idea? She really hoped it would work, it would be a shame to end the day so soon, or end up in the kitchens. Not like there was anything wrong with the kitchen, but it just wasn’t special. “Have you ever been there?” she asked, figuring he may have had the opportunity seeing as it was supposed to be located on the seventh floor.
She found herself giggling even more at Max’s expression. Smiling over at him she “Isn’t it?” The snow was falling, and there was this boy smiling at her. The view was good. “Is that a threat?” she asked, grabbing a handful of snow in her red hands and throwing it in the air, and letting it fall down on both of them.
“There is,” she said really wanting that warm fireplace. The girl had gotten so distracted with her fall and giggling fit that she had practically forgotten about their destination. With Max’s assistance, Em managed to get to her feet. “And we need to stop by the broomshed.” She said gesturing to the broomstick that was hiding under the snow.

"Err, not exactly been there," Max admitted. "I've walked by where I think it is plenty of times, but never had a reason... never had a need for the room, y'know?" He shrugged casually, hoping it wasn't a big deal that he was a seventh year and had never been inside the room before. "Have you?"
Was it a threat? "Absolutely not," he said quickly, but added with a smirk, "It's a promise." He nudged her in the side playfully, laughed softly at the snow she threw, and helped her to her feet. Max rose after her, picked up his own broom, and gave Em a nod. "Right. Broomshed, a voyage up to the castle without falling, kitchen, Room of Requirement. We can do this." He added the second part in as a joke, hoping to make her smile - though he DID hope they made it without any falls.
He carefully trudged through the nice layer of snow covering the ground, brushed off Em's school broom with his glove, then picked it up. His broom in one hand, the school broom in the other, Max gestured toward the exit. "Got yours. Ready?"

“Same here, all I’ve ever needed, or even wanted could be found elsewhere in the castle.” This was the first time she actually needed something. “I doubt many people here have ever been there.” Honestly what could people need the room for? If the two of them had both been in the same house, they wouldn’t even need it.
A promise, right, she would have to watch out for that. That seemed like a long list of things to do before a cozy fireplace. “Well, we better get started.” Pulling her mittens out of her pockets, she placed them on her hands, and then took her broom from Max. “Yeah,” she said slipping her hand into his.

"Yeah - me too!" In fact, all Max ever needed was really in the common room or dormitory. He always had some kind of food, people around to talk to when he craved friendship, good books... what more had he needed before?
Now, the one thing he felt like he needed most was not allowed in the Ravenclaw common room.
He thought about what Emmaleigh said for a moment. Hm. "Yeah," he replied thoughtfully. She was probably right. How many people even KNEW about it, he wondered? Probably not even close to half the school. It was one of those best kept secrets - a secret he was very grateful they knew about right now.
Shaking his head as Em took the broom from him despite his implied offer to carry it, Max happily accepted her hand-hold instead; he gave it a long squeeze with a content smile to match. Without another word on the matter, he led her off the pitch toward the broomshed, careful to point out slippery patches along the way before they reached them.
Tired of studying and in desperate need for a break, Ethan walked out from the increasingly crowded castle and headed towards the pitch. He took a quick detour to the broomshed and picked up two of the best looking brooms. The boy knew that the school brooms weren't the best money could buy, but they were adequate and as he hadn't brought his own broom from home, that was his best option.
As the boy approached, he noticed that the practice pitch was empty. He figured it would be.. and was glad there was no practice scheduled this late in the day. Taking a few steps inside, Ethan gave the area a cursory glance. She had told him a few minutes, but if she wasn't here yet then obviously he was early. The boy took a seat on the ground, his back against the inside wall and brooms laying next to him. He shut his eyes briefly as he waited.. studying had worn him out more than he thought.

Minerva pretty much skipped to the pitch. She was excited to spend time with Ethan. She hadn't seen him other then classes lately, he was working so hard at his studying. She couldn't believe how excited she was to see him. She hadn't flown very often this term and her broom was with her cousin, so she would never see it again.
Walking into the pitch she stopped and looked around, was he not here yet. Then she smiled seeing him sitting against a wall with his eyes closed. He looked so tired, she hoped he wasn't studying to hard. Maybe he should be trying to get some sleep not spending time with her, but either way she was happy to be seeing him. Once she got closer to him she sat down without him seeing her still. Leaning in she kissed his cheek and smiled, "Hey cutie, you sure your up to hanging out?" She wanted to make sure before they got up in the air on brooms.

Ethan felt the soft touch of her lips on his cheeks and smiled, eyes still shut. He slipped his arms around her waist and held her for a moment, gently resting his head atop hers. They hadn't spent much time alone together and he was thankful to have even a little time. Finally the boy opened his eyes and sat up to answer her question. Pulling his arms away, Ethan said, "Of course I am.. I wanted to see you."
The Ravenclaw looked at Minerva for a moment, taking in her appearance, and he gave her a tired, but happy smile. Yes, he was kind of tired.. between sleeping on the floor of the Great Hall and staying up late to study for Owls.. but he wouldn't miss the chance to see her. "How have you been? Are you sleeping okay?" The sleeping arrangements were mediocre at best and the situation had become tiresome for the boy. When would the administration be remedying the situation. Pushing that thought from his mind, he smiled at Minnie and said, "Thought we could go for a ride." He tilted his head towards the brooms on the ground.

Minerva felt his arm around her and shut her eyes for a few seconds just enjoying the moment. She really didn't want the moment to end i possible, but his arm was gone and he was looking at her. She smiled up at him and looked into his tired green eyes. "I know Owls are stressful, but please get some rest as well."She didn't want him exhausted and getting sick or anything.
Minerva then shrugged when the questions came to her, "Classes and homework are keeping me pretty busy." She hated towards the end of term because it always felt as if she had so much going on and wasn't keeping up with it all. She shrugged with his sleeping question, "I'm a bit tired of the floor, but I'm dealing with it. I wish they knew what happened so we could go back into our rooms. I miss my muggle collection in my trunk." She blushed a bit saying this, "I always bring some candy and drinks from the muggle world with me. Diet Coke and M&M's are my favorite." She giggled a bit knowing it probably sounded dumb. Then she glanced at the brooms, "Flying sounds great, I haven't been up in awhile, it will be nice to get in the air again."

Ethan shrugged a little. "I am resting.. or at least as much as I can.." Those stupid sleeping bags weren't all that conducive to a good night's sleep. "I just wish I could get these OWLs over and done with.. there are a couple that I'm a little worried about." Mainly Charms and Transfig.. his two worst subjects and he knew what his parents would think if he didn't pass.
The boy nodded in agreement. It seemed like they were overloaded with classes and the homework was always piled on. There never seemed to be time for anything else. He honestly thought the fifth years should be given some sort of break so they could focus on the ever-so-important (or at least that was what he was constantly being told) OWLs.
He gave her a grim smile in response to her answer. Sleeping on the floor sucked and he knew it would be the same for her being in the same predicament. "It would be nice if they could figure things out," he agreed, furrowing his brow as he stared at some distant point. "Sleeping on the floor is getting a little old.." How long had it been? Ethan lost track but it felt like forever. "Well.. come over and visit some time if you want.." he added with a grin tugging at his lips. He knew he usually got in from the library after many of the students were asleep but maybe if he came back a little early, like today? And they wouldn't get into trouble for just visiting even if they were in separate houses, right?
Ethan looked at her questioningly for a moment before speaking again. "I know what diet coke is, but what are m&ms?" There were a couple girls at Beauxbatons that drank that stuff, but they were always on a diet and he wondered why Minnie felt the need to drink it... not that the others girls needed to either.
The boy grinned as she seemed eager to fly as well. "Oh, good, I was hoping you'd agree.. I figured you must be a pretty good flier since you played Quidditch. I'd like to see what you can do," he added with a wink as he got up from his place on the ground.

Minerva sighed, she hated seeing Ethan stressed out. She looped her arm around his and placed her head on his shoulder.."I know those sleeping bags are not the best thing. Term will be over before we know it and your Owl's will be done. Then it will be my turn to stress over them." She looked at him and grinned a bit. She wasn't ready for term to be over that quick knowing she would be in the States and he would be in Germany. That made her not happy at all. Leaning in and kissing his cheek she smiled, "I know I'm a year younger, but if you need help studying I can always help you." She would do anything to help him out and she hoped he knew that.
Minerva laughed a bit at his response at sleeping on the floor, "Have you ever been camping? I went two summers ago in the mountains, it was fun, but let's just say, I would want to do it every night. Some nights when I can't sleep I just look up at the ceiling. At least it's pretty to look at.." Minerva then looked at him with a grin across her face. Visiting him at the Ravenclaw sleeping area would be fun. Were they allowed to do that, yes she had seen some other students doing it so it had to be ok. "Well maybe I will. Sounds like a fun plan. Maybe I'll bring Laura with me, Mick and her could keep us entertained." She laughed, "I can't believe how much their personalities match. They seem perfect for each other." Was perfect to strong of a word, she wasn't sure, but they seemed like a good fit for now at least.
Minerva saw the questioned look and chuckled, she figured she would get that look since Ethan wasn't knowing much of the muggle world. Oh he knew what Diet Coke was. Well that actually surprised her, "Well M&M's are these little round candies, that are chocolate in the inside and have a candy coated shell on the outside. There great, I don't know I'm a bit of a chocolate person." She laughed and shook her head, "and I know, I know the diet coke part seems strange when I say I'm a chocolate person, because most people think its odd that I drink diet and then eat all the junk food. Mom was just really into it and I just like the taste better then the other stuff." She shrugged it off and smiled, yes she was weird in some ways, but oh well she didn't mind.
Feeling her cheeks blush she began to get off the ground when she saw Ethan getting up. "Well I don't know if great flyer is the beest words to use, but I wasn't horrible. I'm use to a beaters bat in my hand when I'm up there." She gave him a small wink and chuckled. "I'm a bit rusty from not flying for awhile. My bratty cousin wouldn't let me take my broom to the muggle world, so I pretty much lost that as well. I was lucky to sneak my wand out when she made me move with my grandparents." She then looked at the broom and then back at Ethan, "I bet your a great flyer."

Ethan leaned down and gently kissed the top of Minerva's head as she rested it on his shoulder. "This term has gone by so quickly already," he mused aloud. Flown by, really. She was right.. OWLs would be over and done with soon enough.Smiling as she kissed his cheek, he turned towards her, smile growing. "That would be really great.. you are so much better at Transfiguration than I am. I don't think I have a chance of passing that particular OWL without some help."
Camping? No.. Ethan shook his head. When they first got kicked out, the prefects and older students tried to make their area like camping, he was told.. and even he and Mick sang some supposed camping songs. But that had been his only experience.. and it got old. Fast. Smiling a bit, he thought of the enchanted night ceiling.. it was nice to look at, like being under the stars.. he hadn't paid all that much attention to it being so tired when he went to bed. "That might be fun," he said with a chuckle. Merlin only knew what sort of thing Mick and Laura would do.. maybe a song and dance.. but he knew it would most likely be entertaining. "They do seem well suited for each other..." Funny how that works..
The boy raised his eyebrows as she described the candy. "Oh.. that sounds really good.. I think I need to try some of that," he said with a nod. Then he chuckled a little. "I guess I should admit that I'm something of a chocolate fiend myself, then," he added thinking of all those lonely little chocolate frogs stuck up in his dorm all alone. Shame. He shrugged as he said, "Well, I guess if you like the taste of it.." Not that he had tried it to know what it would be like.
Picking up both brooms from the ground, Ethan grinned at Minnie. "I'm sure you're brilliant." What he would give to see her with a beater's bat though.. that was pretty fierce. His smile faltered as she continued. "You don't have a broom anymore? Well.. that will have to change," he said with a nod. His eyes widened. "She tried to take your wand, too? That's just terrible.." Such a personal thing to take from a witch or wizard.. just not right. The boy grinned a little as he shrugged. "I'm alright, I guess.. I'm a little rusty too, though. Haven't flown since summer." He handed her one of the brooms. "Ok.. let's see what you can do."Wink.

Minerva smiled to herself as she felt him kiss her head. He was just so sweet, so caring. She couldn't believe they were actually dating and she was here with him at this moment it was just the best. "Yeah the term has gone quickly. So much has gone on." She shook her head and looked at him, "Oh Ethan, you are a good wizard, I have seen you do spells, but transfiguration is my favorite subject. So of course I would love to help you study for that part." Plus studying just meant more time with him and she would take it.
Minerva saw him shake his head, [B]"Well it's not horrible. Sleeping on the ground can be a pain, but the scenery is usually beautiful. Maybe if I can get a group and have grandpa take us you could come along." She figured if it wasn't just them that he might be allowed to come or something. She smiled and leaned into him a bit, "Maybe we could look at the ceiling together." Yes she could come over and visit with him and they could look up at the stars, their own little Hogwarts Great Hall camp out, well until she had to go back to her own sleeping area.. "Yes I find it very interesting that Laura found Mick.." She laughed thinking about his dancing skills and her ways. They were a good match, she hoped it would work.
Minerva eyes got bigger when he said he was a chocolate nut as well. "Well then I guess Laura and Mick aren't the only good matches around here." She winked and laughed a bit, "Oh I have plenty of muggle candy you will really like then if you are a chocolate person. I was so glad when we got to go to hogsmeade, because I was out of Chocolate Frogs and Fudge. I was going crazy." She hated that all her things were still up in her common room being wasted without her.
Looking at the brooms she bounced a bit excited to get back on a broom. She blushed when he said she was brilliant, "I don't know about that. I always felt more like the weaker of the players and I think seeing how great they are this term it really showed how much I was lacking." Giggling she shook her head, "Last term I lost my bat and it flew to the stands hitting Lafay." Minerva shook her head and just laughed, "But in my defense I was in pain during that match I was hit twice in the ribs by bludgers so holding on to the bat was rough." She took a broom from him and looked it over. Then she looked up when he commented on her broom and then her wand, she frowned. She forgot how hard it was to let someone in that didn't know her family. "Many things have happened since I found out I was a wizard. An entire new family came out of the wood work so to speak, Leelee has her own business that is a bit dangerous. I don't know if she was trying to protect me or what when she forced me to my muggle grandparents, but she wanted me to stay muggle. She did not want me coming back to Hogwarts or the wizarding world." A small smile crossed her face as she got on the broom and got ready to lift off, "But now that I know this world is real why on earth would I stay away."
Minerva smiled to herself as she felt him kiss her head. He was just so sweet, so caring. She couldn't believe they were actually dating and she was here with him at this moment it was just the best. So much had gone on already this term, hadn't it? Ethan wondered if they were ever going to get their common rooms back.. or if they'd ever find out what exactly was going on.. He had lost most of his faith in the adults of the school when he was sure the would figure things out.. and just hadn't. The boy smiled a little at Minerva's words and looked down at the ground. "I'm not that great.. especially at spells." Sure, he knew he was good at Herbology and Potions.. but wandwork was a different story. There were a few spells he had gotten good at.. with a ton of practice.. but even he would question why he got sorted into Ravenclaw. Looking back up, he smiled at her offer. "Maybe you can meet me at the library tomorrow after class.. if you're not busy?" Yeah, he probably should get started on that class's studying right away.
The boy smiled to himself as he thought about her words. Ethan was sure he'd never want to spend another night on the ground after this whole ordeal was over.. but the thought of visiting her over the summer with her family seemed to make that worth it. "I think that might be fun," he nodded, then his smile grew. The ceiling would be nice to look at together.. that reminded him of their first date, looking at the stars. He chuckled thinking about Mick and Laura.. those two were so funny. "We should all do something together." That would be loads of fun.
"You do?" Ethan's eyes widened slightly. Muggle candy intrigued him.. especially the chocolate kind. "I'd like to try all of them then..." Hopefully the lockout would be resolved before end of term.. ugh. Then he chuckled a bit. "You sound like me.. I've been stocking up on chocolate frogs every time we went to Hogsmeade, so I would have enough till the next time." And now he had none because of the lockout. Hopefully they could go to Hogsmeade again soon.
Ethan gave her an amused smile. "Oh come on.. I'm sure you were a great player. You wouldn't have made the team if you weren't..." He laughed as she talked of her bat. Oh Merlin, he would've paid galleons to have seen that. Then he stopped and frowned a little as she mentioned the bludgers. "Yeah.. I've been hit with bludgers before too.. Not fun." And he was thankful for that subject to have been changed even though it wasn't any more cheerful. He watched Minnie curiously as she tried explaining her family.. and he didn't really understand. Why anyone would want a witch to become a Muggle, he didn't know. The boy got onto his broom and leaned in really close. "Well.. I'm glad you came back," he said, then pulled back and took off into the air, glancing behind him to see if she would follow.

Minerva saw his hesitation about his spells and she shook her head. "Don't underestimate yourself. That is the worse thing you can do. You are good and of course I will come to the library to practice. My favorite place is by the stain glass windows, right under the dragon. It's the best place for studying." She blushed a bit admitting that. It was her favorite place since first year she had spent many hours in that spot over the last four terms.
Minerva smiled at his facial expressions about camping and she gave a nice smile, "Well you remember the lake.. the stars, now think about that on a mountain with a nice fire, cuddle up." Yes, that might help him not mind the camping part thinking about looking at the stars. Then she laughed, "Oh I think that is a great idea. I will say something to Laura and see what they might want to do. I know there is that Minnie Golf on the grounds. Maybe the four of us could play that one day." Yes that would be fun and she hoped it wouldn't be to dangerous, Laura with a golf club, but she will be happy, so it should be just fun.
"Well if I don't get any from my trunk by the end of term then I will send you some over summer. A little care package.I will have to figure out an owl since I really don't have one. I've been kind of wanting to see if I could take Midnight as my own. I have had a special owl here at school since the first year." She shrugged communication became a little difficult at her grandparents, but she would figure it out. "Another weekend at Hogsmeade would be nice for a few reasons. One is the chocolate frogs, another would be doing something out of the castle with you." She smiled and looked into his green eyes.
Minerva shook her head and laughed, "I guess you'll find out.." She then shook her head, "There horrible things aren't they? But I so enjoyed being a beater. It was exciting having that stupid ball come at you and trying to bat it away." She smiled remembering how much she liked playing for the team. Maybe she would go back out next term, but she did like announcing as well. Then she looked at him and smiled "I'm really glad I came back too.." She looked at the ground a blushed a bit, and as she went to look back at Ethan he was gone. Oh he thought he was funny did he.. She giggled and took off on her broom flying fast to catch up to him.

Ethan gave Minerva a small smile at her encouraging words. He knew she was just trying to make him feel better about himself, though having some of that confidence might actually help his wandwork. And she could even make the library sound nice.. Grinning, he said jokingly, "Alright.. it's a date then." Maybe not a proper one.. but they could still spend some time together, even if it was doing something as mundane as studying. And speaking of spending time together..the boy looked at the ground and smiled a little, as he imagined her scenario. "That sounds amazing," he finally said. Maybe camping could actually be fun. Tilting his head slightly, Ethan looked at Minnie as she laughed. Right.. Mick and Laura.. too entertaining for words. "That might be fun.." the boy said, trying to picture the four of them on that golf course. "I tried it just once so I'm probably not very good at it." No.. he knew he wasn't any good at it. "I hear that you're quite the expert, though," he added with a wink. Hopefully he wouldn't embarrass himself too badly.
He grinned a little at the thought of candy. It had been too long since he had a chocolate frog.. and she would send him some Muggle chocolate over the summer, how fun. But his smile faltered a little at the thought. Of course she would have to owl it to him.. they wouldn't be seeing each other every day during the summer like they did now. They would be able to visit at least a little though, right? He smiled again, though, at the mention of Hogsmeade. "It would be nice to get out of this castle, wouldn't it?" He was starting to get a bit of cabin fever and the common room situation wasn't helping matters.. "Chocolate frogs and a date with a beautiful girl.. sounds like a great time," he said with a wink.
The boy internally shuddered at the mention of bludgers. He hated those things and didn't really want to continue that line of thinking.. but he was in the air now anyway. He was flying fast, rounding the edge of the pitch, when he looked back behind him again. The boy grinned a little, as he noticed Minnie chasing after him. Yep, she was a pretty good flier so far.. he figured she would be. And he slowed down, just slightly, so she could catch up to him. Chasing each other could be fun.. but for now, he'd rather fly next to her.. at least for a little while.

Minerva smiled, probably with a little to much excitement for the library.. "Yes.. It's a date!" She winked at him. Anytime she got to spend with Ethan was a great time in her book, plus the library was one of her favorite places, so it was win/win. Minerva smiled as he talked about Laura and Mick. "Yes, I think that min gold could be fun." She then blushed and looked at him with some surprise.. "What do you mean you heard I was... I'm not that great, I just have played before here. It's a fun little pass time in America." The only person she had played with was DJ, did he say something to Ethan.
With a smile that would not leave her face she got excited hearing about a possible trip to hogsmeade with Ethan. Then she blushed as he said about her being beautiful. He was always being so sweet to her. "Well I hope Hogsmeade will be available to us soon, because going to Honeydukes and then the three broomsticks with you is one of the best ideas I have heard." Spending time at the castle had been a great time, but getting out of the castle and spending time with Ethan sounded like an even better idea. Minerva already started running through her outfits she could possibly wear and then remembered that most of her cute things were stuck locked in the common room.. Well that was sad, but she would figure something out.
Laughing as she went into the air, she leaned forward on her broom and took off quickly to try and catch up. Noticing he slowed she frowned a bit hoping he didn't think he would have to go easy on her. She pulled up on her broom to slow when she got closer. "So what shall we do now that we are up here?" She laughed and leaned forward to send the broom zooming forward.

Ethan thought about mini golf for a moment - his short experience with the game himself as well as what it would be like to double date there - when he noticed Minerva was giving him an odd look. He laughed a little and then tried to explain. "I played it once here a couple months ago.. I ended up playing with a little Gryffindor, DJ I think he was called, and as we got to talking it came out that you played with him before.. I guess? He said you were really good.. like you could get the ball in the hole with one shot." He gave her a sideways glance, wondering if that was really true. "You don't have to go easy on me or anything," he added with a grin. "Just.. uh, don't destroy me?" The boy gave a chuckle at his own words. Even if she did.. which was likely.. he was sure they would still have fun.
Well, hopefully Hogsmeade would be open soon, because talking about it made the boy even more anxious to go. He thought a bit about the last time they had been permitted to go and couldn't help the grin starting to form on his face, remembering their last encounter there. "Yes.. I hope so too," he said. "I had a good time there the last couple times we went.. It's just too bad they don't let us every weekend." Or even once a month. Maybe next weekend they could go.. though he hadn't heard anything about it being open for them that soon.
Ethan grinned a little as Minerva approached on her broom. He knew she would catch up to him.. hopefully she didn't think he thought she wasn't a good flier. He just wanted to enjoy some time flying next to her. "I don't know.. just enjoy the scenery, fresh air.. or.. race each other?" he added with a raised eyebrow as she sped off. Chuckling, Ethan increased his speed to pursue her.

Minerva listened as he talked about the the golf game between him and D.J., oh so it was DJ that said something about her game. She wondered if he said anything about changing his costume head. Hmmm, she would leave that for the moment. No need for Ethan to think that she had been mean to the first year. She wouldn't be mean, but she did like to have fun. Plus she turned the head back to the correct color. Blushing a bit, "Well yes, I guess I did, but like I said it's a fun muggle game that I played all the time with my parents. We had a mini golf course not far from us. I think the whole in one might have been just a lucky shot that day." She didn't think she was fantastic at the game, but chuckled at his statement. "Sure..sure.. I will just go medium on you.. how about that. Not to rough, but not to easy." She winked and laughed. "I think this will be fun though. I can't wait to say something to Laura."
Smiling as she thought about the last time at the three broomsticks, she decided that she might have to thank Elliot one day for making her go over and do that. She would have probably not been so upfront if it wasn't for her pushing buttons. Now seeing how well everything had worked out, Minerva didn't want to admit, but she was glad Elliot was there that day. "I do hope I get to actually be there without surprising you and Mick this time." Cue.. giggles..
Speeding forward Minerva looked back and saw Ethan was catching up easy to her. He was great on his broom, it was a shame he said he wasn't going out for the claw team at all, but then she thought about it. No it was better that way, her puff team didn't need anymore great players on other teams, he would be safer in the stands with her. Yeah she was fine with him staying off the team. Leaning she turned quickly to face him coming towards her. "Well the scenery looks great from right here." Laughing she watched him come closer then looked around, he was right it was nice from up here, she never took the time to look out at the castle.

A slow grin started to appear on Ethan's face. Was she blushing? He wasn't sure what he had said to bring about that response, but he thought it was cute. He nodded as she explained.. yes, he thought it must have been a Muggle game, but he found it quite interesting. "It seems to be trickier than it looks," he mused aloud, then chuckled at her words. "Okay, I think medium sounds fair.. I wonder if either of them have played it before. I'll mention it to Mick.." Yes, he thought that sounded like a very good idea.. there seemed to be a shortage of things to do that wasn't always the same here and that was still novel to him.
And then he laughed at her words and giggles. Minerva was obviously thinking the same thing he was when they talked about Hogsmeade. That seemed forever ago now.. so much had happened since then. "I do like surprises though," he said with the hint of a smirk.
The girl was fast on her broom. He figured she would be, playing Quidditch and all.. but he was quickly catching up to her. But the sudden sight of her now headed towards him, caused him to slow just a little. Chuckling a little, Ethan flew straight at her, veering to the right before running into her, then he circled around her to fly right next to her. "See, I knew you were a good flier," he grinned from beside her. "I've missed flying just for fun.. it's been a little while." When he played Quidditch he was flying all the time.. but it wasn't as fun somehow while concentrating on the game. This was far more relaxing.. which he definitely needed after a day of studying.

Minerva shrugged, "It can be, especially if there are things in the way that you have to get the ball around. Most is eye/hand coordination though and not worry about it so much. Some people take it so seriously, it's just a game so I just want to have fun with it." A smile crossed her face when she thought of a double date. Then her thoughts went from excitement to shock when she thought about a double date with Laura.. She never thought she would be going on a double date with Laura, not that it wouldn't be fun and she didn't enjoy her friend, she just never thought Laura would be ready for a boyfriend yet. Looking at Ethan she chuckled, "Well for both of us, I hope it opens.. We need to make a stop at Honeydukes.. I am in need of gum balls, fudge, and chocolate frogs." Then a smirk crossed her face, "Of course a butterbeer at the broomsticks too, maybe sit at your favorite table."
When Ethan was headed towards her Minerva didn't flinch she just stayed steady, having bludgers coming at you made you not fear another person coming towards you, plus she knew Ethan would never run into her on purpose at least. Then he slowed, "Well I don't know how good, but I do my best up here." She giggled a bit and kept flying next to him. This was so nice flying and being with him. Smirking forward so Ethan wouldn't see her smile Minerva thought of something and leaned over just enough to bump him on his broom. Then giggling Minerva sped up just a bit joking with him.
Something crazy wasn't really a challenge for the red head Ravenclaw. She'd done enough crazy in school, and off school merely for the sake of experiment or adventure. Except for the only and most obvious 'adventure' in the wizardy world of Flying. Seriously who, in their right mind, liked to defy gravity and sit on a stick that hurt their butt three seconds later? Louisa survived flying lessons in her early years of school just so she knew how to handle a broom in emergencies. This was probably the only thing she was very embarrassed about with her head of house.
With Max's broom in tow (which btw was fancier and heavier than the one she used in her early years) the Ravenclaw strolled down the grounds to the Quidditch pitch. Too nervous to talk or make any humane sound other than breathing.
This was a very bad idea. Very very uncharacteristic of Louisa, too. It was reckless, unpredictable and pretty much... what Newlin asked them for. People who worked with creatures for long hours always seemed to be off in a way or another.

Vivi's crazy had mostly worn off already, and she'd ended up planted in the middle of the Quidditch pitch, stargazing in the middle of the day. She really needed to stop staring at the sun. It was making her brain melt out through her ears. Ouch.
She sang quietly to herself and made fingerpuppet plays about people she knew and it was a little cruel but very funny and so she was also giggling like a mad person. Oh YEAH. 'Cause she was still a little bit mad herself. The fingerpuppets ended in a searing kiss (fingertip to fingertip), bowed to the sun, and then she dropped her hands and closed her eyes.
"LoooooooouLou." Yep. Saw you. Saw you RIGHT THERE.
The thing that slipped the Ravenclaw's sharp mind (sarcasm intended) was that this was the Practice Pitch, where all the great broom flyers go to do all the circus-y moves up in the air. So it wasn't a surprise when Louisa spots one of her house quidditch team in here. But Vivi wasn't being very quidditch-y sitting like that in the middle of the pitch.
The red head 'claw jogged forward with the broom in hand, "Vivi. Fancy seeing you here." If she falls down the broom, there's someone to call her death. Yay. "Umm.. what.. are you doing sitting here?" Louisa raised the broom. Helloooo quidditch pitch.

"Fancy seeing me," Vivi dipped her head and smiled crookedly at Louisa. Her friend Louisa. They were friends. Sort of. Friends didn't fall for each others' boyfriends, right? "Why wouldn't you see me? D'you ever think you're going blind? Sometimes I wonder if I'd rather be blind or be deaf, and then I decide that I'd rather be neither and just keep being awesome."
She flopped backwards and closed her eyes. "I think I still have that crazy birdsong all over me. D'you want to see my puppet show? It's a charming story about a lonely girl who falls in love with her best friend." She held up her fingers and wiggled them. "They're called Gertrude and Hamilton."
There must be a stray fwooper around here who restarted this girl's insanity. Louisa looked around, seeing nothing and no one in this whole wide pitch. Maybe some were in the air but those didn't matter at the moment, what mattered was the blind or deaf talk. "I'd rather be deaf." She answered automatically plopping down next to Vivi and keeping the broom in her lap. "I can be deaf and awesome." She wins, hehehe.
A puppet show. Ooooooh, that's another side of crazy. Louisa stared at the puppet!fingers for a moment, contemplating her options. "Sure! I'll be your audience." If this doesn't go crazy enough, she'll still have Max's broom to use.
Oooor...
She hopped back to her feet and mounted Max's broom as it floated about a meter off the ground. Then she flipped her body so she could see the puppet show upside down. "Hi Gertrude, hi Hamilton." Her hair better not be touching the grass.
