A set of paths link the courtyard to various areas of the grounds. It's nice to walk along either on your own or with a friend. The trees on either side of the path help to create a light atmosphere. So go on, take your time and soak up the fresh air, heaven knows students need it.
Belle eyes widened. "Why did he do that?" she asked flabbergasted. "Did he know that Ari was your girlfriend?" Belle was smiled and was glad that she might be able to go. "What is your favorite thing to do while camping?"
"Yes he did... And it probably didn't help that we were curled up together..." Damon gave a light chuckle, "It's hard to pick just one though... Probably just the peace and quiet... It's pretty much going home for me. I love it out there." He smiled.
"How about you lead us there then?" Spike said with a nod. He knew the way too, but it'd be more like a game then, no? Part of their big adventure. "I mean, direct, well, y'know...get us there. Since, well, leading would be kinda hard if I'm giving you a piggyback..." He nodded in understanding as she confirmed his guess. "I'm sure it'll more than make up for it today..."
And then they'd go find the tree that Lottie wanted to climb, and survey the rest of the ground from it proudly. Oh yes. With Matilda back in full health, he'd known today was going to be a good day, but now it'd gotten a whole lot better. In fact, he couldn't think of a more more enjoyable way to spend it right now. His gaze fell on the younger girl - his excitement was evident, but also with a hint of fondness. Lottie was one cool firstie, that was for sure.
...was she giggling at his glasses? Spike's lips pursed up, ready to puff out his cheeks, though they softened a little at her next comment. "Not...over the top though, right? Like, still me-ish?" He asked with a frown. Yup, Spike was still overly self conscious about wearing the dark frames. They didn't feel like a part of him yet, like they belonged with his personality. For a start, they were entirely unpractical, and tended to slip down his nose at inopportune moments. And second, he figured them made him look nerdy, which despite being a Ravenclaw, he most definitely wasn't.
Spike shook his head. "I wouldn't dream of it," he said seriously. "You'll have to meet them sometime." If she was happy meeting a tarantula, then two cute small frogs wouldn't be a problem, would it? On second thoughts, however, maybe that wouldn't be the case. Finn really wasn't a fan of Killy and Kranky, but got on with Matilda well. His frogs could be a little energetic at times, unlike Matilda's calm personality.
Talking of which...
Spike's smile widened into a grin as he watched Lottie's reaction. She looked more excited than Beezus had, and that was saying something. Spike nodded reassuringly, amused by Lottie's excitable greeting. Yup, she knew the way to Spike's heart. He stroked Matilda gently, though the spider took no interest in her daddy. She was freeeee! And there was a new girl to play with!
Did she tickle?
Spike carefully picked Matilda up from the palm of his right hand, and made a gesture towards Lottie's hand that had stealthily made it's way closer. "You want to find out for yourself?" he asked. He'd be fine if she said no, of course, but surely there was nothing better than experiencing it first hand?
This was the moment where Lottie wished for an older brother. Because Spike was acting like one and she really liked it. Though she supposed being the big sister had its perks, but yeah, she wouldn't know, right? Oleander was younger. Either way, the first year beamed again, and was certainly nodding when she spoke up, "Of course!" she said, before adding more words to her reply, "I understand, yeah," how the leading sort of worked, she meant.
As far as the tree making it up for all that depressing time, well, she hoped so.
Oh. His expression changed. Was it because of the glasses? Oh, no, wait, "Well, you haven't changed...," he seemed to be the same Spike she met a few months back, "...but I haven't known for too long...," which was completely the truth, "...still, though, they don't look bad if that's what you're asking." Then she smiled. Lottie was being way too honest with Spike. Odd, no? "You'll get used to them, you know?" And if he didn't like the frame, he could have lots of them, made them a fashion thing, statement, or whatever.
That was great! Him not dreaming of separating his frogs. Great for the frogs, of course. "Good!" then he continued..., "Sure, yes, whenever you can," because clearly, Lottie didn't even mind cutting a few classes, yeah? So it was totally up to Spike. She didn't mind frogs, maybe. There's one way to know.
AND OH MERLIN, BACK TO MATILDA!
Her eyes kept on going back and forth between Spike and Matilda. Trying to watch his reaction as well as the tarantula's, which was kind of more important, anyway. But then she was asked...to try...and she extended her arm towards Spike. Her bouncing was kept to a minimum. "I promise I won't drop her." Lottie's face suddenly got serious. But her words actually meant 'Yes', in case Spike was still wondering what that extended arm was all about.
"Yes he did... And it probably didn't help that we were curled up together..." Damon gave a light chuckle, "It's hard to pick just one though... Probably just the peace and quiet... It's pretty much going home for me. I love it out there." He smiled.
Belle smiled and laughed when he said they were curled up together. She responded, "well maybe you should have warned your dad." She chuckled imaging her mothers reaction. Belle was thinking about what was her favorite thing about camping. "Well i think my favorite thing about camping is the smores and fires. I also love the quality time i spend with my family."

It was part of the goodbye tour. Louisa wasn't usually a sentimental girl who liked to express her feelings at any given chance. She grew up to know that in order not to get hurt or be an easy victim for people is to be cautious in public and tread lightly. This was something she urged herself to go by but truly, she did feel a jumble of feelings as the days raced toward the end of her last term, and she found herself looking at every corner of every spot in Hogwarts differently but with affection.

He held two school books in his arms that he had borrowed from the library though both of them weren't open. In his bag were his other school books and Mr.Duckles , his plush duck.
With a shaky sigh, Daichi looked around for a good place to sit down. But as he scanned the place his chocolate brown eyes landed on the Ravenclaw Headgirl and a small smile appeared on his lips. He used his sleeve to rub his tired looking eyes"Hey! Louisa.. hey!" he called before he jogged to her place. "Whatcha doin'?"

Wait, wasn't this what he had dreamed of for so long? To loose his cuteness and become a real man? But even if it was happening SLOWLY now, Daichi was missing the time when he could do something against the rules, flash a puppy eyed look and saying innocent sorry's and he would get off the hook. Lately when he did something his plush duck got slapped, he got kicked out of class and been threatened to send him to his Head of House. Mweeeeeh he wanted to be a kid again!

I got a girlfriend" and as he said it, yes he felt like saying it because he felt proud , his cheeks darkened. "And i've been studying for my OWLS alot. Actually, everyday because i'm really scared i'll fail" he said and sighed. "i mean, i get the theory but ... Well, you ever seen me in class? I'm horrible!" he added as his eyes began to tear up again.

She allowed herself to try and pinch his cheek but her fingers barely touched the skin before she withdrew her hand. "See I can't pinch your cheek anymore." Not that she used to before. "But it's not a bad thing really, it just means you're going to get your share of misery in life now as other fellow scarred teenagers." Talk about straight to the heart forewarning.
Yeah, yeah, seventh years had NEWT studies. Louisa exaggerated a sigh and eyed the satchel with the big books. "They're very stressful. And as the time goes I feel like I'm in need of some more." She wasn't biting her nails or shuddering frequently like in her fifth year though. This term proved to Louisa that she indeed grew as a girl and knew how to handle stress pretty well among other things. "But then there's head girl duties, the locked common rooms and sleeping on the floor. Ugh. It's been a bit harder to concentrate I think." She was allowed to whine a little.
Her counter question was obviously going to be about his OWLs but his piece of news made her mind take a completely different route. "A girlfriend!?" Her face beamed and she clasped her hands together, chuckling surprised at this BIG news. Last term he asked about Indy a lot, without mentioning the reason. Was she the girl? And did he pick up the courage to ask her out a year later? "That's happy news! I knew there was something different in you." Not his height or his lack of baby cheeks it seems now, he has a girlfriend. Hehe. "Who is she? How did you ask her out? How long have you two been together? Tell me everything." GRIN. Oh aaaand. Louisa poked his leg, smirking. "I got a boyfriend too." She wasn't sure if he knew of Joao being her ex for the past two years but that didn't matter now because Vick was everything to her.
Back to the rather serious talk about study. His lack of confidence made her frown and her enthusiasm faded. "Don't say that, Daichi. I have seen you in classes, and we were partners a couple of times. You were good enough." Louisa wasn't good at complimenting others and she didn't go around telling people how good they were to make them feel better. Maybe it was the perks of her being cruelly honest at times like these, she gave her honest opinion and people would believe her without thinking she was bluffing. "You just need to be as relaxed as possible. You'll do just fine then."

How would he look like when he was in his seventh year?! He really did not want to know! "You sound like Professor Magnus and Lafay" he chuckled when she mentioned that he needed to relax when he was doing the exam. "They keep telling me that as well but, it's difficult! I've never been the relaxing type" And his concentration wasn't the best either, especially not when he thought about ducks. Hmm, he wondered where Floppy was. Was she alright? Does she have enough food or....SEE! Daichi quickly shook his head to get rid of his thoughts. Concentration level 0!
"Woah woah wooaah! chill!" He said as he waved his hands at her questions. Where to begin? "Uhm, her name is Indiana" he blushed again as he pictured the blonde girl. "She's a fourth year Ravenclaw" he added. "And" Daichi began to laugh out loud as he remembered how he had asked her out. The thought was just ridiculous but he figured that it was just his style. "Well, i asked her to come to the courtyard and i had this bracelet with a pink teddybear amulet on it." he said as he stared at the ground and made circles with his fingers in the dirt. "She has a plushy like me that she calls Pink Ted" he grinned. "Anyways, Joao told me one day that i should just ask. No is no right? So i asked her out" he began to laugh again. "I asked her out while the wind was blowing since it was winter so she couldn't hear me. Next thing i knew i uhm..i literally shouted at her to be my girlfriend just as the wind had stopped." it had been SOOOO embarrassing! "And she said yes."

Oh and Kurumi cause he kinda asked to her what a kiss meant. "You went out with Joao but not anymore right?" It was hard keeping track of peoples relationships. Only a few months ago he had learned that Kurumi and Jonathan hadn't been together since two to three years..and he had always believed that they were. People never tell him things , we're they scared it would hurt him. Come on! he was sixteen now! hmpf!
"We were partners in Astronomy and there isn't much wand work at that subject right?" he said , moving his body to sit in the lotus position like they had learned the past terms in DADA. "I still blow things up in Transfiguration and Charms though"

Daichi's perspective of growing up and losing all the baby cheek fat was different than Louisa's. She listened and nodded understanding where he was coming from. "Yeah, I suppose some do feel like that. Maybe because getting taller and hairier is accompanied with side effects. Like getting more agitated... or a drama magnet." It sucked being that last one. She smiled at him and gave him her opinion, "I couldn't wait to grow up, and now I can't wait to grow up even more." The more independent and knowledgeable she was, the more she wanted to improve even more. It was tiring sometimes.
Lafay and Magnus? Louisa laughed and wrinkled her nose at the same time. "Naaah." She didn't know how to feel about this, it sounded like a compliment and uncool comparison with old ladies profs at the same time. She took it light-heartedly anyways. This was Daichi! "You never relax in exams? Hmmm." That was a tough case. "Maybe the gum will work with you. My friend, Adam, used to tell me that chewing a gum helps some people to steam off their anxiety. It didn't work with me but you can try." She shrugged.
Indiana? Fourth year Ravenclaw? "Indy? Spike's sister?" YEP! That sounded like her! Louisa beamed and clapped twice excitedly. "That's great! You did ask me about her last term, I just didn't know you liked her back then." OH OH! He was telling her details. WOO--- what?! "Joao?" Blinkblinkblink. "Joao gave you relationship tips?" Excuse her while she LAUGHS. Anyways, this was about Daichi and Indy not about him. "That's really cute. You two can have plush kids." HEHE. She was just teasing him. "Sorry, kidding." Not really.
Joao again. HMPH. Louisa kept a poker face as she nodded. "My fourth year. We went out for a year and a few months in which I saw him for only a few months and then he broke up with me." No need to get into details about her silliness during that year. "Now I'm dating Vickers." BEAM! trying to focus on the flashing news here, people.

With her she also carried her new diary, so that she could maybe scribble some notes down about her recent happenings. She did this often now and confided her diary with almost every secret she had, especially the secrets she was too afraid to say aloud to anybody.
After walking for quite some time Nessie was ready to sit down, but she wanted to sit somewhere secluded and completely free of people. All just as a saftey precaution of her diary writings.
Finding a tree near the pathway, the fifth year walked over towards it and sat down partly hidden by it's long branches. The ground was certainly not clean to sit on, nor was it comfortable but for now she'd just have to do with it.
Unlocking her diary, the red head grabbed her spear quill from her robe pocket and began writing. Starting of with the words..
'Dear, Galia' That was what she had named the diary. 'I feel guilty again...'
Scribble. Sicribble. Scribble. Nobody was looking right?
Clara was very glad that it was warm out again and her owner let her go outside. As a result, the cat took off and ran ahead, enjoying the sunshine. Taryn didn't mind, Clara was always wandering the castle anyway, and so long as she could still see her it was fine.
She'd merrily pranced about in the grass until she spotted a girl sitting beside a tree and then IMMEDIATELY ran up to her, purring loudly. Taryn followed a few seconds later. "Sorry about that." She leaned over to pick up the cat who was still purring and hoping that the new girl would pet her.

Holding Ethan's hands she skipped and twirled around him. Bouncing and dancing clear from the barn where their class had just ended. She was totally dancing to the songs that were playing in her head. As they made it into the pathways she laughed and stopped looking at him.
"Ethan, do you know the chicken dance?" She giggled and started twirling around him flapping her arms like a chicken. "Want to do it with me?" She started dancing around making her hands into little chickens clucking, then flapping her arms, then shaking her body just the muggle dance was done. Laughing she started repeating it over and over again, but twirling around not standing still as she did the motions.. "Come on silly... Dance with me!!"

Still holding Minerva's hand as they exited class, Ethan's steps became more and more like that of a Gavotte, a traditional French folk dance. He was certain he could hear the music from his former formal dancing classes and was convinced that Minnie was his new dancing partner.. she was a former dancer, after all. Looking over at her as she stopped, the boy wrapped an arm around her waist and spun her around. "We mustn't stop dancing until the music stops.." he whispered in her ear. Of course they would be eliminated from the competition if they did..
Oh but now she had gotten away from him and wasn't dancing.. He continued for them so as not to be eliminated.. though he was sure they'd get lower marks. He stopped mid-turn though when she mentioned chickens. "Um.. no, I've never had a chicken for a dance partner.." Tilting his head slightly, he watched Minnie curiously. She was getting into the head of a chicken to see how it would dance! Genius! He began mimicking her movements with the hand clucking, arm flapping, and body shaking.. then did his best to combine both dances prancing and twirling in a chicken dance Gavotte.

Tumbling out of the barn in a fit of laughter, Emmaleigh stumbled around until she fell in a heap on the ground. Hands and knees scraped, but still laughing, she dug through her bag and pulled out several different things of cookies wrapped in aluminium foil. Em tossed the perfectly good cookies to the side like a Frisbee, something she would never do if she was in her right mind. After wards, she spread the foil out and fashioned a hat out of it. Plopping it down on her head, she formed a second hat out of the foil that remained, and placed that one on her head as well. Pushing herself up off the ground, she grabbed her bag and ran off laughing. Off to adventures!

Hmm.. that's interesting.." And he was sure it was pretty smart thinking.. like way outside the box.. to create some novel dancing to win all the judges' approval. Why hadn't he thought of this before?
His dancing had caused him to wander a bit away from Minnie and he turned towards her when she asked him to watch. "Minnie? Are you alright?" something was very wrong.. she was moving so slowly.. and he started towards her, moving in the same slow motion. What. Was. Going. On?? He stood in front of her, blinking a few times. Everything felt normal now.. or at least the speed of his motions as well as hers. "No.. you are no chicken.. you are no boy.." Was she speaking in riddles? That might be fun.. he tried to think if a few himself when she started singing.
Ethan stood and watched her for a moment, bobbing his head along to her tune.. but WAIT. That did not match the melody he was currently hearing. The boy stood, confused for a moment, until he was able to create a mashup of the song she was singing with the melody currently playing in his head. Now satisfied with this newish song, the boy resumed his chicken folk dancing.. singing the words with Minnie in a completely different timing.. "I don't want to be a chickeennnn, ...I don't want to be a duuuuck, ...I just waaaant to shake my buuuutt.. da da da daaaaa."
