This is a special room that the professor designed just for you lovely students. It can either be a beautiful and relaxing
get away or your worst nightmare, it all depends on the circumstances behind you being in the room.
Generally upon entering the room you're greeted by a cool sea breeze and at your first step in you'll realize that you're no longer standing on cold stone but warm sand. Coconut trees are scattered here and there about the beachroom to provide shade from the inconspicuous sun. If you listen more than you yap it's likely you'll hear the ocean.
Please do not enter the room without permission from Professor Bellaire.

West wondered idly if ghosts could get sunburn? If it had of been HIS house ghost he'd have said hi, but as it was, West kept to himself and just practiced the wand movement, trying to get it to feel natural and not overthink it.
Had he said he was ready? Because, he supposed he was. At least rain would be refreshing right?

"Protego Caelum," Silvia said with a circle and flick of her wand. She had been practicing for several minutes now and was beginning to feel comfortable with casting the spell. So now seemed like as good a time as any to test it out.
"Protego Caelum," the third year cast the charm once more. Then with a deep breath and her cloak wrapped around her, she stepped under the nearest rain cloud. Hoping that she casted the spell correctly and wouldn't get wet, she said "Ready."

Sutton's attention was riveted on the professor as she explained and demonstrated the spell.
Aww... poor Ness... Sutton thought to herself, a slight frown on her face. No one enjoyed being made an example, and it seemed like Ness was already upset as it was. Perhaps Sutton would finder her after class and talk to her. It seemed she was having a tough start to the year, and Sutton hoped that she could maybe help her in some way.
Shaking the thoughts of their captain out of her head, she practiced the wand motion several times: clock-wise with a small flick at the end. Her wand wiggled a little bit on the flick, and she frowned down at it. Hmm... how to fix that problem. Keeping her hand in the same place on the wand, but sliding her index finger closer to the center, she tried the wand movement again and was pleased to find that this corrected the problem.
And then... there was a ghost. Becoming distracted, Sutton began moving toward the ghost and inadvertently walked under a rain cloud someone else was practicing the spell under. She quickly threw the hood up of her cloak and pointed her wand on it. While performing the clock-wise circle and flick motion, she said, "Protego Caellum!" And she let out a sigh as she noted the rain now being deflected by her coat.
"I did it?" she said aloud to no one in particular. "I did it! On the first try! I didn't even have to think about it! I just... I didn't want to get wet, and... I did it! I never get it on the first try, ever!" she spoke to the other students nearby... none of whom probably realized she was talking to them.
Beaming, she looked around, wondering if the professor had seen her...
Phew! After a long and tiring practice Surya felt confident that he has mastered the spell. He knew he could save himself from getting wet now. "Ready Professor" he shouted. Oops he was not supposed to shout.

Did ghost need protection against the elements too? Curious thought, but Kurumi didn't actually ask it. Seemed sort of...rude to do so.
"What are you doing here, Sir Nicholas?" Because it was sort of rare for a ghost that WASN'T Peeves to show up in a lesson. And, well, whenever Peeves showed up it was never good, but that wasn't the case with Sir Nicholas.

Finallyyy!!! Sophie was still grinning as professor Bellaite explained a few more things to them. And eep! Demonstrated on Nessie the rain bit... Sophie LOVED how the woman made it rain pour over their Quidditch Captain, but felt kind of bad for the girl. The spell was amazing, but poor Nessie...
Anywho, a little rain wouldn't kill her, right? And she would sure not be late the next time... welp, time to PRACTICE!
Waving her wand around in a circular, clockwise motion, with a flick!, Sophie practiced the movement without the incantation a few times. Once she felt she got the hang of it, she listened to what her classmates were saying before saying it out loud herself. "Protego Caelum." Heh! It was a funny word. Caelum. "Protego Caelum!"
After a while, she thought it'd be a good idea to practice both things at the same time. Now pointing her wand at the cloak, she moved it clockwise and flicked it. "Protego Caelum!" She said firmly. Just staring at the cloak wasn't enough to tell if the spell had really worked, so Sophie guessed she would have to get beneath one of the clouds and wait to see what would happen... heh! Cool! She quickly cast the spell - supposedly, at least - on the boots as well before putting them on.
Walking over to where some of her friends were, Sophie pulled her cloak closer to her body and looked around, waiting for the next thing to happen. "Ready, professor!"

Professor Bellaire was about to do her rounds as she always did when they get to the practical parts of her lesson when Sir Nick's head popped up from the sand. She frowned at the ghost and folded her arms.
This was distracting, she needed them to focus and he was taking their focus off their work. It would be at their expense too considering they would be drenched in cold rain water if they did not focus.
"Good day Sir Nicholas. Do you mind visiting...after my class has ended?" It was more of a statement than a question or request even.
ooc: guys..once you say ready...the cloud will pour....
Sounds of ready rung out about the room and Sophia was delighted to see that her clouds worked perfectly. Unrelenting rain poured from them at the students request. She shook her head at those who ended up getting wet.

"Not like that Mr.Odessa."She walked over to him took hold of West's wrist."Hold the wand firmly in your hand." She moved his hand in the correct motion slowly."Like that."
Got it? Moving on.

The ghost caught his eye, but he immediately steered away from it's gaze. He didn't like ghosts. But the cloud was a distraction, because soon after he claimed himself as ready, it came pouring down.
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOSh - Theo made a squeaky noise, but he could cope. He pointed his wand directly at the cloud, and was squinting all over the place as the raindrops tried to blind him.
"S-Summus V-" Theo stopped himself, and could have PUNCHED himself in the arm. That was the wrong spell for the WRONG class. Ugh..
"Protego Caelum!" He tried again, only he forgot the wand movement. Seriously, why did he even bother? Theo rubbed his eyes, after they got drenched with water. "Protego Caelum!" He did the circular the movements and....
.......
VOILA.
The rain cleared up around him, leaving a shocked Theodore.
"No way." His face travelled to Professor Bellaire, looking all innocent-like. Gold star?

Sophia watched as they all suited up..well those who had bothered to do as asked anyways and nodded approvingly. Those who weren't properly attired got glares...dangerous glares.
"Okay everyone. Miss Dixon here will help in the demonstration of what happens when you are caught in a heavy rain storm and not under the protection of protego caelum. I'd like everyone to take at least five steps back please if you do not wish to get wet."
Time for the non-verbals. With a quick wave of her wand Sophia conjured up a rain cloud roughly the size of one of the classroom tables which settled nicely over Nessie's head.
"This class..is a rain cloud. I'll just give you a quick bit of history before moving on. Not so long ago and even now, it was believed that witches were able to manipulate the weather. Muggles believed that when we were upset or up to something particularly nasty we could conjure horrible tempest and plague the land. This is true." She smiled. "But only powerful wizards are able to do so, so today we'll focus on blocking natural weather elements." With a another flick of her wand, there was a crack of thunder which resounded around the room, then the cloud started pouring rain...very cold rain.
After almost a minute Professor Bellaire waved her wand again and stopped the rain.
"Wasn't very fun was it Miss Dixon?" She shooed the girl form under the cloud and grabbed her own cloak which she slipped into then stepped into the spot Nessie had previously occupied.
"Now you'll need to clearly say Protego Caelum while making a clock-wise circular motion with your hand followed by a quick steady flick. Those of you with firmer wands should have an easier time with this charm."
Sophia Demosntrated by performing the charm on her own cloak. There was another crash of thunder then the rain started. Instead of wetting her cloak or touching it even the rain drops seemed to be deflected by an invisible barrier.
"Once we master this spell we'll add some wind to it." She stopped the rain and produced more rain clouds.
"Now I want everyone to practice their charm properly before going under a cloud. When you think you are ready, step under the cloud and say 'ready.' Once everyone gets the hang of it we can take the room for a little spin. Carry on."
Sophia started heading in the direction of the coconut water then paused." And for those of you who neglected to bring the proper gears there is a blue trunk with extras."
MEANIE! Sadisit... Sarah had a lot of things to say about her MEAN charms professor, yet she did not say it. she just thought to herself that she would never be like that! Poor nessie! Sarah wanted to take her place. as sarah could handle raiin much more then the others could.
She took five steps back anyway.
Then the rain came down, that was after meanie professor's talk on rain clouds. Yet, it sure shsowed the effects of the spell, especialy after the profs demo. She looked down at the wand in her hand.. it was unyielding so it was perfect.
First, like always she tried the incantation first -Protego Caelum."Protego Caelum, Protego Caelum, Protego Caelum" she sad. Then she added the movements, the circle and then the flick. As she practiced her flick got steddier and her movements less jerky.
After a while she was sure that she had got the hang of it.
Yet should she say ready? Was she really ready? Just to be sure she practiced again. Then she said, "ready"
Then the ain, cold as ever came gushing down... Luckily she did get wet. Out of the corner of her eye she grinned at sir Nicholos.
At the excited outburst Sophia moved away from Mr.Odessa to watch the other student who had successfully performed the charm."Very Good Miss Piatek. Five points. Look here everyone. Miss Piatek's got it. Not so hard is it?"
Turning abruptly at her name, Sutton blinked through the rain drops in her eyes to the Charms Professor standing very nearby. Sutton hadn't noticed before. Wiping the rain off her face, she wished they would have brought something to keep the rain out of their eyes as well...
Then realizing she could just step out of the rain now, she moved out from under the raincloud and smiled brightly as the professor complimented her in front of the whole class AND gave her 5 points. Hufflepuff REALLY needed those points, and she was proud that she had been a help in earning some. Her bright green eyes fixed on the woman, she said, "Thank you, Profesor Bellaire!" in her most sincere and gracious tone.

Ella was being rained on...A LOT. The third year frowned as she turned her attention to the girl who'd done it successfully, giving her a small smile. The small lasted only a moment, though. Mostly because being SOAKED was not enjoyable in the least. Homegirl was going to catch a serious cold if she didn't cast a successful shield like...nowish. And being sick during Quidditch season just WASN'T an option. It just wasn't.
Concentrating her mind on creating a shield, the small blonde pointed her wand and cleared her throat. AHEM. "Protego Caelum!" With a circle and flick of her wand, Ella waited only a moment before...
Blink.Blink. It had stopped. The rain had stopped! GRIN. The third year BEAMED from inside the shield, feeling much cozier now that the rain was no longer drenching her. Heh. This was wicked.

Kurumi had been waiting for Sir Nicholas to respond to her question, so she hadn't been entirely 'ready' when the rain began to pour down on her, causing her to jump back in surprise and sort of tumble out from under her cloud.
The good news? Well, the charm had worked the the water was seeming to bounce off of her rain boots - which were the only things still under her cloud at the moment. Probably should properly test the rest of her attire.
Pushing herself out of the sand, Kurumi stood up straight under the cloud and...oh. YAY! Not wet.

Nigel's cloud must have been faulty because it did not rain when he said ready. He wait a couple minutes and even said hi to nearly headless nick.
Just about when he was going to complain to the Professor. He saw water fall and it his awesome shield. He flinch and closed his eyes. Thinking the water was going to hit him. When it did not, he opened his eyes and saw the water hitting his shield
"This is awesome. It's working!!!"
Yes, now he would not have to worry about sunburn ever again.

He might have noticed the friendly Gryffindor house ghost arrive if it weren't for his view being nearly completely blocked, at least at the distance he and Sir Nicholas were and the number of bursting rain clouds there were around. Yep...unrelenting rain could do that, the water having been streaming down from the cloud Gideon was standing under as soon as he had said ready. Professor Bellaire might have warned them jusr a little more, having gotten the impression that once she knew the group was all ready THEN it would all begin.
No matter really however really, seeing as while the rain was pouring down in front of his face, and no doubt behind him, it wasn't dropping down directly upon him. It seemed he had managed to cast the spell correctly and was now reaping the benefits of a completely dry persona. That was good...that was very good, having seen the Huffie captain come away a drowned rat from her experience. Gideon really wasn't in the mood to repeat that at the moment.
Elliot WAS ready. The appearance of the ghost didn't bother her. He wasn't the Grey lady, whom she wouldn't mind speaking to, so she honestly didn't care that he was there. She was just glad it wasn't Peeves. He had caused such chaos in Creatures....and she had ended up with WORMS in her HAIR.
Elliot had NOT been a happy camper. Nope.
She practiced the complicated movement a bit more, since she had the wording down perfectly. Her years of Latin helped a lot with the spells sometimes! As the rain cloud appeared, Elliot quickly pulled the hood of her raincoat over her head and tied it tight so that no part of her head was peeping out except her eyes. She kind of looked....weird.
Oh well, she did NOT want to get wet.
Ahem. "Protego Caelum!" she cried, doing the circle then the flick. And BAM. Noo raaaain! Whoooh! Elliot was PROTECTED! Yeah!

Once the professor commanded the clouds to rain. She was getting wet with in seconds. AGH her hair was dripping wet. She felt the rain drops bounce off her rain boots. She knew what she must do.
She used the incantation, "Protego Caelum" she said with her correct wand movement. Then she shut her eyes knowing she was going to get wet BUT it did not happen. It protected her and covered her like an umbrella. "It worked!" she breathed a sighed of relief. She heard the rain tapping on her shield.

Emmanuelle had seen the ghost. She had just chosen to ignore it and concentrate on what she was actually supposed to be doing. But, it was still a shock when she being rained on. Yep, on not around. She was getting soaked which meant that her charm hadn't worked. Damn. Potions class all over again. Aiming her wand at her clothing, she performed the spell again, wand movements and everything. "Protego Caelum!" STILL getting soaked. By now, she was irritated with her not-so-stellar skills in Charms. Why couldn't it have been a less important class? Like Arithmancy?
Anyway, strike attempt number three. "PROTEGO CAELUM!" Hey, it actually worked this time!!!!

The..the demonstration of what happens when you are caught under a heavy rain storm? Oh Merlin! Nooot good. Renesmee just stared at the Professor with her mouth open wide in a gasp. She couldn't even talk, not even word her opinion on how unfair this was. It was good she couldn't though, because arguing with a Professor would surely cause more trouble. As she saw the could appear on top of her head, Renesmee immediately closed her eyes not wanting to watch.
GAHHHH! COLD! THE WATER WAS FREEZING!
Drop after drop, Ness felt the rain fall over her and began shivering. She was going to get sick, she could tell. This was too cold and the rain was crazy, not like a little drizzle, not to mention that thunder was defeaning too. Arghhh! Why did these things have to happen to her? It wasn't fair.
"Was great." she said with sarcasm, and moved as far away from the cloud as she could. She stood near the students and took out her own wand in attempt to dry herself, but because of the shivering it was a real challenge and she gave up on it. If she got sick, it would be all Bellaire's fault not hers.
Wait..who was that? Ness turned to see Kurumi who was offering to dry her up. She gave the Gryffindor a nod, barely able to speak. The only noise coming from her mouth was teeth shattering and it didn't stop.
------------
Once dry, The red head took her coat and put it on just like everybody else had. At least this time she wouldn't have to freeze to death. She gave the Professor a small eye roll, when she wans't looking her away. She was in a bad mood now and hopefully it would not affect her magic, but it did.
When the rain fell from the clouds, Nessie took her wand and did the circular motion Bellaire had shown everyone. She was angry though and her hand was not firm enough for the spell to work properly. "Protego Caelum." she gave her wand a flick and then....

As soon as she'd said "ready", the rain poured down from the cloud above her, and Penelope knew instantly her spell hadn't worked. Not that she'd really expected it to. She didn't let herself get too wet though - as soon as she knew the charm hadn't worked, she stepped out from under the cloud. Time to try again.
She practiced the wand movement again just to try and get it firmer like it was supposed to be, and then paired it with the incantation once more. "Protego Caelum." Hopefully this time it worked...
The second year stepped back under the cloud and told it she was ready again. And then the rain came once more and...
...she was getting wet. Again. Merlin's beard...

Milton didn't realize the cloud would start the downpour as soon as he said 'ready'. He must have missed that part, because he was suddenly getting quite wet from the falling rain. Caught of guard, Milton waved his in a circle and a flick and yelled "Protego Caelum!"
And all was well. Milton looked up at the rain that was now being deflected away from him by his charm. "Lovely," he said to himself. Now if only he had another wand to dry off his clothes from before.

Just before stepping under the cloud, Sierra had done everything she'd supposed to do. She quickly did a mental review of what had happened. Or, at least, she thought she had. She'd drawn her wand then done the whole 'clockwise circle and flick' motion. "Protego Caelum!" she'd said.
...and then she'd stepped underneath that cloud. She felt herself squeezing her eyes shut just a bit in anticipation of the downpour. The feeling was sort of like willingly walking yourself into a minor jinx.
The seconds ticked on before she realized she was standing underneath the cloud and nothing was happening. Well, nothing besides being protected. She sort of turned around and around a few times, getting the full experience of the charm.

Feeling like she had practiced enough Hannah was ready to give it a go. She had already gotten wet earlier by her friend so she was going to concentrate extra hard so she wouldn't be getting wet for the second time today.
Making sure her raincoat was on properly she walked to where she needed to be and moved her wand clockwise, followed by a flick and yelled "Protego Caelum!" She concentrated on not getting wet. Ok...it's now or never. "Ready!" she said a little timidly and to her surprise Hannah was as dry as she could be. Alright she had managed to do the spell successfully.
So, as soon as Sophie said "ready, professor", rally expecting to see the older witch moving her wand or something so that the rain could fall on them, it was ALREADY raining! Whaaaaaaaaa?
That startled Sophie and she flailed a bit, but luckily her spell had worked! She only got a litle wet because she had flailed. Heh. Oh well, not a problem! Once she was standing properly and... not flailing, she stretched out her arm and watched as the drops bounced off the cloak. "Wicked!" Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Spells were so brilliant!
Grinning, she slowly moved her arms around to be able to see the drops of rain falling and bouncing off the cloak a little better. That was really fun! And to think it was HER spell work! Not her mother's of father's, not even a professor's. Heeeeeeeeeeeer nice job! Hooray!
