This is a special room that the professor designed just for you lovely students. It can either be a beautiful and relaxing
get away or your worst nightmare, it all depends on the circumstances behind you being in the room.
Generally upon entering the room you're greeted by a cool sea breeze and at your first step in you'll realize that you're no longer standing on cold stone but warm sand. Coconut trees are scattered here and there about the beachroom to provide shade from the inconspicuous sun. If you listen more than you yap it's likely you'll hear the ocean.
Please do not enter the room without permission from Professor Bellaire.

OUCH.
She crumpled to the ground, blinded by the sand and rain and the dancing stars that formed from the knock to the head, and she wasn't even able to appreciate how her robes weren't picking up any damp sand from the ground beneath her. Too bad... it was a rather impressive spell.
Whatever had struck her was now laying heavily across her legs, and Vivi struggled half-heartedly to free herself. As the professor ceased the storm around them, Vivi was only able to see for the first time who had hobbled her... Sierra Greingoth. If the girl had looked a bit less miserable, she'd be infuriated at her, but as it would, Vivi wriggled around and put a comforting hand on top of the girl's head.
Sort of comforting. "Get off me."
A dribble of water ran between Vivi's eyes, and she swiped at it, her hand coming away red. Oh, hmm. Was someone bleeding? And why did storms give a girl such a headache?
Then all of a sudden, Sierra felt the storm around them cease to exist. She blinked a few times, trying to process everything, and then glanced up at Vivi with a slightly horrified expression. The girl had...face-planted...into a TREE!
Great.
The President of the Board of Governors was going to hex her into next Saturday and back.
Then there was a hand on top of her head, which Sierra would have shaken off had she not been in such a state of shock. When Vivi spoke, Sierra reminded herself to breath then helped herself off the ground. Sierra felt a slight trickling by her mouth, and she reached her hand up. Blood. Great. A nose bleed. Could this class GET any more humiliating for the Slytherin?
"Sorry, Vivi," she said, walking toward the professor. She gathered around and waiting expectantly. She knew she hadn't been the winner. All she'd done was skip across the ground. At least she'd cast the spell before she did so, though. Speaking of which...
... Hmm. She was clean. No water, no dirt. At least something had turned out right.

With his general head region starting to lighten up from the pressing weight he started to stretch his arms out to flail try to break to the surface. When the sand and debris have eased up enough he crawled his way out still shaking like a leaf but definitely relieved to be out of there. Clumsily he plopped on his back and for the first time had a good look at his savior.
"Kurumi?" She saved him! "Th-Thankyouuuu..."
Kurumi continued to dig in the pile of sand, shoving mounds off of whoever it was that was buried under there. In all honesty, she was expecting to see a younger Ravenclaw and would have ventured a first year only they were all safe over at the hut, right?
Which was when she glanced up just to see what was going on over there when. WOAH. HOLD ON!? Did Penelope just SLAP Milton!? Hadn't Milton been unconscious - probably because some sort of head injury too - and she had slapped him?! That was just going to cause MORE damage!
Almost forgetting that she was digging someone out of the sand, Kurumi had momentarily moved towards the scene, but continued to dig away until she saw just WHO it was. "Vickers!?" Kurumi squeaked with surprise. "You alright? Let me help you up...." She reached out with her right hand to help him up out of the sand.

While she helped Vickers up on his feet, Kurumi glanced over at Sarah and sort of...just stared.
Awesome?
....
............right.
"I'm alright," she nodded reassuringly. Her hands were a little sore and raw from grabbing hold of the tree and whatnot, but other than that just fine. "Don't mention it," she added with a wink. They HAD been ordered to make sure the younger students didn't die after all.
But with the professor telling students to SLAP UNCONSCIOUS people who had suffered HEAD TRAUMA...seemed she just wanted the younger ones to pick off the older ones.

Huddled in her little debris shelter, Kendall just spent the time waiting for the storm to cease. She even tried tuning out all the sounds coming from the opposite side of the thatch, since that only was making her more scared that Professor Bellaire was going to just leave them here forever. The screams and other noises hadn't seemed to be dying down, at least, and neither had the wind. At which point she changed her hoping to wish that nothing would slam into her shelter and destroy it. Like one of those coconuts that had so far stayed away, or even another student. Every noise was making her jump, and she felt her shield charm slip a little as rain started to trickle through the hood of her cloak since there really wasn't much of a roof over her head. Only the tied corner of thatch, and there was too much rain for that to hold it all back. Maybe I should've cast the charm over the thatch before I hid behind it, she thought, curling tighter into a ball as she pulled her hood over her head again. The hurricane could be over with any time now.
Her head came up from her knees at the sound of an adult voice ending some spell or another. That sounded like the professor, so maybe she'd survived. She wasn't going to find out staying in here, so she carefully took her wand out and severed the rope holding the thatch above her head and pushed it aside as she stood up. Looking kind of bedraggled and more than a bit terrified, although she flicked her hair over her shoulder as she pushed her hood back. At least it was still mostly auburn, minus the pink streaks and the faintest tint of indigo that was quickly fading. Well, and the fact her hair was essentially drenched again. At least she wasn't bleeding, and for the most part she didn't have too much sand on her. She'd managed to hold the charm long enough for that, and she was still standing. Plus, she thought she should get a point for managing to figure out how to make herself a shelter, even if she didn't particularly care about who won. Either way, she made her way over to the loose circle forming around the professor. Class is over, right?

Sophie did feel the evil Ravenclaw pushing her off, but tried to ignore it. Though it made her frooowwn as she pushed her hair back and IGNORED the fact that Elliot was flat on the ground.
She was so not helping her up. Hmph.
Whaaa?? "You grabbed my arm and kept pulling me!" Sophie said, glaring at Elliot. "It was your fault I let go of the tree!" TOTALLY her fault, yep! The Hufflepuff was just fine holding onto the tree with Theodore before evil Elliot came along and dragged Sophie with her!
The third year was now very annoyed. She didn't care (much) about the sand, but Elliot always managed to aggravate her somehow. Uuuuuugh! "You're the one that's stupid." She muttered again, crossing her arms over her chest and turning around still spitting sand.
Elliot scoffed...totally not Elliot's fault..it never was...she merely frowned and glared and frowneddddd at Soaps. The blonde flipped her hair, making sand...whip around everywhere...and on seeing this, she turned around...and SHOOK HER HEAD WITH ALL HER MIGHT IN SOAPY'S FACE...then she turned around to face Soapy again...
"Oops...sorry..." she smirked...THERE PUFFER!

And was he okay?! And then Professor Bellaire squirted water at him with her wand, but that apparently didn't work so she...told Penelope to smack him?
Um...
Okay.
At least the lesson was ending now too, so hopefully no one else would come flying through the hut though if they did she was more than willing to smack them too.
Kneeling down beside the unconscious Ravenclaw Captain, Penelope set her wand down beside her for a bit, then raised her arm and gave Milton a good SMACK! across the face. If that didn't wake him up, she'd do it again.
Milton lay perfectly still with his mouth hanging open a little, covered in wet sand for a few moments, unaware that Professor Bellaire was still trying to KILL HIM. After she sprayed water in his face, it didn't really make a difference until it tried to sneak down his throat and into his lungs. And that was about the time when he felt something SMACK him across the face.
Several things happened at once: Milton coughed the water up, whipped up into a sitting position only to find that his rib cage felt like it had gotten smashed by a sledgehammer. Or a tree in a hurricane. "OWW." Another groan as his hands clutched his side and his head. OH, HIS HEEEAADDD.
"Whuut happunned?" he groaned quietly before flopping back onto the sand. He looked around at the sandy beach around him with all the nice palm trees and... it was like a windswept paradise... Paradise? He was dead, wasn't he? OH NO. HE DIED.

Jory was relieved when the hurricane died down. He heard the Professor calling them over. Rubbing sand out of his eyes and the rest of his face with both of his hands, he blindly made his way over to her. His clothing was all soaked and he was sure he had tons of debris in his hair.
Was class finally over? He just wanted to get back to the Castle and take a good long bath.

Vickers had been buried under all that debris?
Gideon had seen the Ravenclaw be unearthed by Kurumi as he moved closer to them and to the hut in general. He seemed to be relatively unhurt as his fellow prefect assisted him and Kurumi was handling the situation well enough, so he moved on still looking around to see if anyone else needed assistance.
It was then he spotted the daughters of two very powerful people in the wizarding world collapsed upon each other. Vivi was leaning against a tree and Sierra was on her legs. As Gideon moved closer, the Slytherin was getting up looking not too much worse for wear leaving her companion be to head off towards Professor Bellaire. The Ravenclaw seventh year however did not. What was with Sierra leaving injured people?
"Vivi...yer bleeding!" he exclaimed, noticing the red rubbed on her forehead from the passing of her hand. The Gryffindor prefect rushing over as best he could and kneeling down beside her so he could get a closer look. Not sure what to do, he searched his pockets for a clean cloth but surprisingly found sand instead. So much for that idea.
"What? It's over. That's it?", Surya wondered. He had really enjoyed today's class. But now he could stand. So he was happy that at least he was back on to the ground. But he could see that some of them were hurt. Surya never thought he could perform the spell so well. Maybe if he works hard he can go really far in this subject.

She was snogging the sand. Yep. That pretty much what's happening. Her hair and messy hair was on her face that was at the same time buried on the sand. The hurricane had came to a stop now, apparently. With shivering arms, she slowly heaved herself up.
Uggggggghhhhh. Bleuurrrgghhh.
..until she got into a hardly acceptable sitting position. Her legs were numb, she was feeling cold. Brrrr! The charm seemed to have worn out before the storm had come to an end. She could feel cold water seeping through her robes and sending freezing sensations unto her skin. Then she rubbed her chest, she was also feeling as though sand had entered her lungs. COUGH. COUGH. She was even spitting everywhere. She wanted to get rid of the sand on her lips!
"Ohshreddedboomslangskin..."
For a few minutes, she stayed on where she was until she remembered Milton. She completely forgot that he saved her! Where was he? Where was he? With this, Beezus scrambled over, tripping on her robes and lunging face down on the sand again. "Geez!" she whined furiously, wildly wiping the sand off her face. Attempting once more, she stood up and with great difficulty crawled to where the hut was just in time to see that the Captain was awake.
Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawl.
"Mewton!" *cough* Stoooopid sand. "I mean, Milton! Are you 'kay?" And sorry we screamed at you, Coco!

Sophia squinty eyed around the room at everyone, checking out the ones who were injured or thought they were and those that were....really? NO one knew how to dodge a flying coconut? It was such a shame. Perhaps she would need to host a dodge quaffle tournament to whip them all into shape or something.
"Leave the injured where they are, I'll tend to them in a bit."With another wave of her wand the room returned to his previous state, chairs were set up nicely once again and the coconut trees were dancing in a gently breeze.
"Seems chosing two winners will be harder than I thought so I've decided that we're going to have four..two older winners and two younger ones." Excited yet? Be excited. Ahem
[[channels Dumbledore]] "Miss Hollingberry, for bravery in the face of danger and sheer selflessness i'll award you thirty points and the key to the Irie room and Miss Braxton for the cool use of intellect when everyone around you were losing their head.." almost literally too.."30 points and you also receive a key to the Irie room. That was good spell work, with those ropes considering."
She smiled at her other two winners."And in the younger group the winners are Sutton Piatek and Eliza Dawnsel. Forty points each." Because you know she wouldn't be giving younger students the keys to the Irie room.

"Ow." He mumbled. But it could've been worse, he kept telling himself.
PRIORITIES FIRST, where was his WAND?
The boy brushed the sand off of his clothes, but it was still covering his face and hair, turning it into a rather ugly dirty blonde color. WAND? Theo stumbled over to where Professor Bellaire was. A gold star for effort?
But first....
"I lost my wand, professor!" Wibble. He did notice West, stone dry without a speckle of sand on him, so he frowned. Was he hiding under the hut, or was he just REALLY good at this charm?

D'awww. Little Theo, she had suppose the hurricane would have been too much for him but who was she to tell him so? If he felt he could manage she'd let him manage...or try to.
"Your wand? Well we'll get that back in no time, nothing a little accio can't rectify." She was about to summon his wand when another second year showed up with it..and a broken arm.

"That was some storm professor." Belle said breathlessly. She noticed a ravenclaw named Nigel broke his arm. "Ow that has gotta hurt." Belle said to herself. She limped to the circle and was wondering who was the winner. Belle had a hard time hearing but she could make out some words.
Professor Bellaire grinned at the young girl but shook her head. Really? They thought that little storm was bad? That was nothing but a category almost two because it wasn't quite two yet. What if she had unleashed a category four on them? Ha!
"That was nothing."

Kat was still in trauma from the hurricane. Everyone was safe. Yeah, thanks to the Lion Prefection Kurumi. No one was injured, at least. And then...
Who was screaming? Kat thought. Looking for the direction of the sound, she saw that a Seventh Year Snake was trapped under Palm Fronds. Kat had to help her. Even if she doesn't know this Snake. Awkward.
Running to the position of the fronds, Kat forgot her wand somewhere. Probably where she was first stranded by the group of screaming students due to that hurricane. With no wand in hand and no magic spells, Kat had to do this the hard and Muggle way. Kat pushed the Palm Fronds away. At the end, she was tired. But at least she was able to help the Seventh Year. "Are you alright?" Kat said, and she stretched her arm. "Need a hand?"

Sutton glanced around at the rest of the class as the professor began talking. Some of them were in FAR worse shape than she was. Several of the older students, though, looked almost as if they'd just gone for a walk on the beach. No big deal. When the older winners were announced, Sutton wanted so badly to clap for them, but her arm was still hurt, and so instead she found them among the crowd and gave them a big smile. It was awesome that they'd won! And then...
She'd... won?
Sutton stared at Professor Bellaire in disbelieving shock. Her green eyes wide, she turned to Minnie. "F-forty points, Minnie! And five earlier. I won us forty-five points!" she stammered quietly. How in the name of Merlin she had done it, she wasn't sure, but she wasn't going to be trying to convince Professor Bellaire to give them to someone else, that was for sure. They needed those points... and Sutton had gotten them... somehow.
When Professor Bellaire dismissed the students who weren't hurt, Sutton moved closer to her. "Professor Bellaire? Thank you so much... for the points. It means a lot to me... and to the rest of my house, I'm sure," she said in a quiet voice, a most-humbled look on her face. "But... I don't understand... My charm failed once, AND I got hurt," she explained, turning her hurt shoulder toward the professor. "I'm not sure what's wrong... could just be bruised. I got hit in the back of the shoulder with a coconut, I think..."
Sarah flashed Kurumi a grin. This girl was really selfless... while others were concentrating on saving themselves... Kurumi was concentrating on saving the others.

"Go get your wand Theo and look on the table for a small kit, it has healing elixir in it, please take it to me."
Professor Bellaire grinned at the young girl but shook her head. Really? They thought that little storm was bad? That was nothing but a category almost two because it wasn't quite two yet. What if she had unleashed a category four on them? Ha!
"That was nothing."
Sophia looked over to the two older students seemingly on the brink of death. Teenagers these days. She shook her head.
"Don't worry you two I'll patch you up in a bit and Miss Greenwell, five points."
She turned back to the rest of the class."For those of you not injured, you may leave, the others stay behind to be patched up."
Sarah really wanted to help the others.. Yet seeing that she was not injured she was ordered to leave.
SPOILER!!: verbain
Theo shook his head, much like a dog, to get rid of the majority of sand. It was no use, he needed a loooong bath. He looked to Sarah, and blinked before responding. "It's okay, really...." He rarely even let OLDER students perform magic on him. Theo had trust issues, ya see. "But thanks for helping me earlier."
Brownie points for Gryffindor there.
"It was a pleasure. Glad I could help you." She really was. It gave her great practice for charms and tranfiguration you see. And she wanted to be like Kurumi, so selfless.
She went to the professor. "Thank you for the lesson. It was an EXPERIENCE" why did it have to end anyway?
~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ It be like that sometimes.
Hufflepuff had gotten forty points! "Great job, Sutton,'' he congratulated the younger girl. "And congrats to the rest of you too.''
"See you, Professor,'' he told Bellaire. "Its the first time I've ever encountered a hurricane.'' He grinned. "I'll be going now, gotta get my self all cleaned up.''

They needed those points... and Sutton had gotten them... somehow.

Minerva over heard Elliot being mean to Sophie, that girl was getting on Minerva's last nerve. She never had someone she really really didn't like before and this girl was proving to be her first. Minerva went to walk over to see if she could help Sophie or push Elliot when the Professor began talking. She glared towards Elliot and then turned her head. She knew at one point they would have it out, it just wasn't the time or place right now.
Looking to the Professor she listened and her mouth dropped and looked at Sutton smiling. Then she heard Sutton being all modest, "Oh come on Sutton.. Your arm is injured, but you left your safe spot to come after me, since my brain didn't want to work today. You came to help someone instead of just helping yourself. You deserve those points." Minerva smiled and then carefully hugged her friend. "Great Job!!"
Then they were allowed to leave, she looked around wondering if she could help anyone that was hurt. "Sutton do you think you need the professor or the healer for your arm?" she didn't want to just leave if she could help people if they are hurt. "Professor do you need any help, like taking people to the healer or cleaning up?" Minerva offered to stay if she wouldn't be in the way and could actually help.
Nigel suddenly opens his eyes and wondered what happened. The wand was missing from his right hand. Where was Theo's wand. He looks right and left for it confused. He must had dropped it because the last thing he remember was his arm broke and he had it in his right hand. But whatever, that was not the important. What was important was how did his broken arm get in this splint?
It was a really good splint too. Nigel wondered who spelled it on him. He also wondered if he had to go to the hospital wing. He did not really even want to go. He had work to do.Not even looking up to see who was there. Nigel asked "What happened and who put my arm in this awesome splint?"
He was even more confused now then before.

After a moment of being DEAD (he was certain he was), Milton saw Beezus crawling over to him. "Are you dead toooo?" he whispered, absolutely devastated. And it was his fault for ripping her off the tree! Oh, he felt horrible! Physically (for obvious reasons) and emotionally for killing his fellow Claw.

Wait. WAIT.
Milton blinked several times and looked around at all the other students as it started to come back to him. He wasn't dead! Duhh. He was in Charms class. And he just survived a hurricane! Barely, though. They didn't have stuff like that in Wales. Milton let out a relieved sigh and struggled to sit up, but he managed. His ribs hurt. And his head hurt. It felt like he had just finished a quidditch game. Except... worse, maybe.
After the professor announced that she would patch them up, Milton sat in the sand and rubbed his head. Dang coconut. Beezus better be grateful.

What? Why was Sierra apolog... oh, right. She'd been wiped out by the great Slytherin Tsunami of '79. Vivi watched the girl walk away without comment, because really... what could she say? Next time we're in a hurricane, try not to get blown sideways into me?
It didn't seem like the right time for it.

"Who is?" Vivi was once again aware of how hot and awful the sun was as she looked up at Gideon and found he sort of had a halo. A bright, squint-inducing halo, but still... boy had glowy-ness to him. "M'not bleeding. The tree is bleeding. Shut up."
Her crankiness had no real bite to it, though, mostly because she just wanted to lay down on the sand and close her eyes for a bit. Why was her head so heavy, hmm? Did she get sand in her ears that was weighing her down?
"You're bleeding," she muttered, quite helpfully, her fingers probing the growing goose egg on her forehead. "Ow!"

Oh, points! That got Vivi's attention considerably, and she gave Gideon a giddy (Giddy giddy... oh, she was so delightfully WITTY with her head wound) smile. "Did she say good job and give me points and not because she got my house wrong or because my mother is a National Icon but because I really did good job?"
Because that was worth a little head wound every now and again. "Help me up, please, and don't you dare let anyone heal me."

Students were dragging themselves back onto their feet and the leaves were settling on the ground. The Professor whipped the room back into shape and as Eliza was wringing water from her long hair, she thought she heard her name. Did she...? she looked around and saw some eyes on her. Did I just hear that right? She straightened herself up and stood a bit taller. Did I just win forty points?! No way...! She could hardly believe it, but it was true. That's what the professor had said. She had done her best and even though she ultimately failed, the professor still awarded her effort. This is amazing! And she felt amazing too.
"Thank you Professor! Wow!" She smiled and bowed her head slightly to her teacher. "Thank you so much!"
Then the young girl turned her attention to the other youngster who'd also won - Sutton, she'd heard said. "Congratulations!" she said to the girl. "Can you believe it?!" She was grinning and couldn't help herself. She'd never spoken to the girl before, but her excitement made her bolder. Realizing the girl was in pain, Eliza wiped the smile off her face and said, "Oh, I'm so sorry you got hurt though! Are you okay?"

So THAT was how the Gryffindor prefect was going to be, hmm? Tend to Vivi's injuries and completely ignore Sierra's?! Now who was the one ignoring the injured, hmm? Heh.
She was only mentally kidding around, though. It was only her nose bleeding, and really, if she looked away long enough, nobody would realize she was a little on the injured side. She could handle it. It was nothing a quick spell or wet washrag wouldn't clean up.

Thirty and forty points?!
DEAR MERLIN that was a lot of points for just one activity. She wished she'd tried a little harder, but really, how could she with the hurricane whipping across the ground and giving her a half-broken nose?
Well, the least she could do was offer and help. The last thing she wanted was to be called to her mother's office for a second time.
"Do you need any help with the injured, Professor?" she asked, although she really didn't see anybody who was that badly hurt.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat was that?
West sort of did more staring. Especially at the last bit about leaving the injured and going so the professor who had caused all the trouble could patch them up? That was what the healer was for! And Nigel was still fainted!
West had pulled the Ravenclaw's arm straight and splinted it at least but he was just a kid!
He put his hand up. "Professor, Nigel's unconscious and his ARM is broken." It wasn't just a scratch or whatever. "And," Credit where credit was due, "He saved Theo's wand from getting broken or anything."

HIS WAND.
Of course West would have it! Theo didn't think many others would go to that trouble for him. Abandoning whatever he was doing before, Theo rushed on over to his bestie. "Thanks, West!" He beamed, and took it back, holding the wand very tightly to his body.
"And thanks Nige-.... Is... he alive?" Theo blinked.
O___O
MAAAAAAN, he didn't even win! And how come Kurumi won house points when she hadn't even saved HIM? If anyone deserved any, it was Sophie because she was a good help.
Anyway...
"It's okay, professor Bellaire. West got my wand for me." He waved it about, showing it off. RIGHT - a first aid kit. For Nige-man. Theo nodded quickly and rushed away, wand still flailing about in his hand. With all the panic, it took a moment for him to find it, BUT it was where she said it was, on the table.
And he was BACK, with the healing elixer. "Here it is!" After handing it over, Theo stayed behind and watched all the injured people. Wow, he got away very lightly, didn't he?
Best to stop complaining then.
"Yea he's alive but he's gonna be REAL sore when he comes around." West said, eyeing Theo a bit, but glad his bestie was alright and yay that he was reunited with his wand.

Well, at least Theo got his wand back and it was not broken. But wait it was West that splinted his arm. Wow, he was really good at that charm. His arm was really sore but that was the least of this problems right now. His ARM was still BROKEN. "Oh, Yeah I guess"
But he took extra attention to what West was saying about Bellaire and the healer. Nigel did not know the healer so he would believe what West said about her. And he just witnessed how crazy Bellaire was. A HURRICANE seriously. Nigel looks up at West and says "Going to the healer sounds like a great idea."
Nigel really wanted his arm to heal as fast as it could. He really liked his arm and did not like seeing it broken.
