That would be a little bit more complicated, probably.

Sophie hadn't gone to the lesson and she hadn't learned the spell yet. But well... how hard could it be, really? She had learned the other spell rather fast and this one shouldn't be much more difficult. At least Sophie hoped it wouldn't.

Walking into the room where all the dummies were, the badger started her hunt for the dummy with her name sign thingy on it. "Hey there." She greeted it pointlessly, putting down her bag on the floor.

The girl knelt down beside her bag and got her Transfiguration book from it. She ran through some pages until she got to the one she was looking for.

Summitto Vestis. Okay.

Leaving the book on the floor, Sophie got up and pulled out her wand. "Upside down V... Summito Vestis." She said to herself while going to the corner of the room to get a rubbish bag. "Summitto Vestis."

Vivi hummed over the idea of attempting a belt, but without the appropriate transfiguration spell, it just seemed ill-advised. She would just make use of a belt she had, buy a new one, or teach herself a new spell. Probably the latter, if she was honest with herself.

She did love learning new spells.

"I'm done too," Vivi smoothed the material and studied the skirt one last time before stepping back to join Kurumi. "I think we're very talented designers. If everything else falls through, we can fall back on that."

When Logan was sure that he had his design complete and meeting his expectations, he placed his sketchbook on his bag and got up. It was time for him to get the mannequin ready so that he could actually perform the spell and create his pants.

Heading over to where the bags were kept, he grabbed a few before heading back to his station. What he needed to do was create a pant shape, so he cut the bag so that he could wrap it around the waist of the dummy before sticking it in place. Next, he slit the bag down the middle, so that he could actually create the legs. Those were also wrapped around and and stuck together.

There, now his mannequin had pants around it. Heading over to his bag again, he grabbed his wand and stood in front of his mannequin, ready to cast the spell.

Now for the incantation... Sarah hated the incantation. That is what she usually screwed up on. Many words were like tongue twisters for her. Summto Vestis she said, and then shook her head in dismay. She had left out something... She looked at her notes again... yes it was Summitto Vestis... there was an i there. Summitto Vestis she tried again, this time she had succeeded. Now what she needed was to put them together.

She took out her wand again and did the up and down movement and said Summitto Vestis... The problem was, the incantation was down afterwards. It was meant to be done at the same time. She tried again. It was hard to concentrate on three things at once. It was like patting your head and rubbing you tummy at the same time, this required a lot of brain power. So she tried it again... Summitto Vestis she said doing the movement at the same time... great

Now wouldn't that be an interesting turn of events. The girl who wanted to go into dragon breeding and the girl that wanted to become an Auror becoming fashion designers in the end. "Should we come up with our label then?" she laughed, giving her skirt one last look over and firm tug as if testing to make sure that it wasn't actually made out of paper and rip.

Putting all her magazines and parchment back in her bag, Kurumi slung it over her shoulder and then looked back at Vivi. "Lunch in the Great Hall?"

Now for the real deal! Sarah went to the pile of black bags and selected one. She then walked it over to her mannequin and put it on the way she was meant to. As she had said before she was going to try a simple skirt first before she got more complicated. Summitto Vestis she said, envisioning a simple black skirt that was made of cotton (you could not get simpler) and she did the up-down wand movement. Then she saw it work... like magic...Well it was magic.. duh.

Now for the real deal, Sarah looked at her sketch again, making sure to get all the details that were necessary. Where each lines was etc. "reverto" she said and made the black skirt back into a garbage bag. She thought about the skirt, the red checkered one and said "Summitto Vestis" she then moved her wand up to the right and down to the right. Then she saw her skirt filling out, the red and all! This was exciting. Now she had to think about her opinion on it,,,,

She glared at the ripped bag. Why did things have to be so complicated for her? She ripped what was left of the bag off of the mannequin and threw it in the trash. She walked up to the front of the room and grabbed her a new rubbish bag. She would be able to do it now...she just knew it. She placed in back on her mannequin.

She stared at her sketch for hopefully the last time. She let it fill her mind as she emptied all of the nonsense out. All she wanted was a plain black pencil shaped skirt. She really didn't think that was too much to ask for now. she focused her eyes back on the mannequin and imagined how she wanted it to look.

She grabbed her wand and pointed it at the mannequin in a meancing way...as if daring it to not work right this time. "Summitto Vestis!!!" she said with authority. She made all the right wand movements and was glad that finally....finally she had mamanged to do it. Finally she had the perfect black shirt that would fit her perfectly. Good thing too because Hannah was starting to get majorly annoyed with the whole thing and who knows what would have happened to the poor innocent mannequin.

Sarah stepped back a bit to survey her handywork. The combination looked okay... yet there was something missing. Sarah closed her eyes and opened them again. Something was missing... Sarah looked at what her top had: there was the normal top, the white blouse and some Gold buttons! That what was missing, something gold. Sarah pondered adding a button and in the end decided to.

She added the buttons to her sketch and put it n the write place. "Reverto" she said, coverting skirt into a garbage bag yet again. She looked at the sketch and at the garbage bag again. Finally she was ready "Summitto Vestis" she cried, updown wand movement thing and thinking about the skirt with the buttons. Then the bag went red and began to fill out from the top as a skirt and a gold button was there! She had done it! The design was just perfect! She gathered her things in her satchel again and looked at her mannequin again, it was so good! She had made and outfit. A smile on her face and she went out the door.

He was pleased. He already had far more accomplished in this short amount of time than he'd had in what seemed like fifty tries for the first spell. Then again, he had been at Hogwarts now for half of a school year. I guess it's expected that I improve, eh? Especially for a Mancini.

"Well time to try again, then!" He concentrated hard on the picture of the trousers that he wanted. Then when he was sufficiently focused, he raised his wand and performed that upside down V motion that was becoming more and more natural. "Summitto Vestis," he pronounced clearly, confidently.

It never got old. It probably never would. He truly loved watching something morph before his very eyes. Even though he'd grown up seeing his mother perform magic around the house, it still amazed him every time.

"And you are definitely the right size now." But though he'd managed a split between black and yellow this time, it was far from what he'd been imagining. "I wanted a clean distinction, not this blurred in between mess," he semi-whined, fingering the fabric. Perhaps it was because he didn't get the right fabric for the black.

Once Minerva was done with her sketch she looked at it, yes it was what she wanted to go with her shirt. Now to actually make it. Puling out her wand she practiced the upside down V. She wanted to make sure she had the v movement down. Once she felt comfortable with the V she wanted to practice the words. Looking through her notes she wanted to make sure she had the correct spell. Finding Summitto Vestis in her notes she looked it over and then said it to herself. "Summitto Vestis, Summitto Vestis, Summitto Vestis"

She then looked at the rubbish bag, now she had to figure out how to make it. A thought struck her, maybe she would try make something different for practice before making the skirt in her sketch. Thinking about a plain jean skirt she pulled her want towards the bag doing the upside down V "Summitto Vestis" As she said this the bag turned into a plain jean skirt, smiling that it worked she looked at it. It looked a little small. She would have to work on this part as well. "Reverto" The rubbish bag turned back for her to try again.

As usual, Sierra was in here at the last minute trying to get her homework completed. She'd told herself time and again that she needed to start earlier, but it just never worked out for her. Between Quidditch, her prefect duties, and all the other mountain loads of homework they had to do, being an early bird just didn't cut it for Sierra. So because she was short on time and really had no time to waste, Sierra started looking for her mannequin right away. Her brown eyes traveled from one side to the other in search of that now familiar rainbow, striped shirt.

It wasn't hard this time. Last time, she'd been looking for an ordinary mannequin with her name on it. This time, though, her mannequin was wearing the unique shirt she'd designed for the first homework assignment. Spotting the mannequin almost right away, Sierra headed over to it. She decided that the first thing she should do is decide what she wanted the pants to look like. She sat down on the floor in front of the mannequin, stared at it, and waited for inspiration to kick in.

Ethan figured he'd put off his Transfiguration homework long enough. It was just so hard to get motivated for a class he was so terrible at.. but he knew he needed the practice, besides the fact he needed to get his homework done. OWLs were coming up really quickly and he didn't think he stood any chance of passing the one for Transfig.. especially if he didn't crack down and practice.

The boy stepped into the homework room, noting that it was as full of people as it was the last time. Which meant really crowded. He walked through the rows of mannequins until he found the one with his shirt and name, and stood in front of it. Spotting Minerva out of the corner of his eye, he watched her work for a moment. She was really good at this subject.. maybe he'd have to ask her to tutor him a little so he could pass his Transfig OWL. But he could ask later.. he didn't want to disturb her work.

Ethan pulled out several sheets of parchment along with his quill and ink. Eyeing the shirt he had transfigured earlier in the term, the boy figured a simple pair of jeans would best suit it. And simple would probably be the best way to go for him... although jeans did have those pockets and zipper, that might be a little tough. He needed a sketch first so he could best picture it in his mind as he performed the spell. and he started scribbling out a design.

After Minerva did a practice skirt she decided she would go on and try to do the skirt that she had sketched. Looking at the sketch she wanted to make sure she visualized it exactly how it was on the paper. She wanted nothing to go wrong. She talked it out in her head, two pockets on the front, two on the back, washed look, and yellow star on the corner. It seemed easy enough. Not to simple, but not to hard either.

Minerva looked at the sketch and tried to make sure it was really in her head. She closed her eyes to visualize it before looking at the rubbish bag again. Moving her wand int he upside down V she said the words again, 'Summitto Vestis" Looking at the rubbish bag she watched as it turned into a jean skirt with two pockets on the front, but no star. Minerva frowned, it didn't have have her star and picking it up it was to small. This would never do. "Reverto"

Before actually casting the spell on the bags, Logan decided at the last minute that he would practice a little first. There was nothing wrong with going over things for a refresher no matter how sure you were about things.

Turning away from the mannequin, he went over the spell a few times in his head for a refresher: Summitto Vestis... Summitto Vestis... Summitto Vestis. He did it over and over again until he was sure that the words would lose all meaning soon, then brought the wand movement into things.

Upside down V motion, "Summitto Vestis." Upside down V motion, "Summitto Vestis." Upside down V motion, "Summitto Vestis."

Now it was time for him to make his pants.

...and just like that, inspiration came to her.

Still sitting on the ground, Sierra reached for her bag and pulled out a piece of parchment and a quill. On the piece of parchment, she sketched out an ordinary pair of blue jeans, but she dressed them up by creating a little designer patch on the top part of one side. Looking up at her shirt, she designed the patch to look just like the colorful design on the top. This way, they'd coordinate in at least a small way.

Once her design was finished, she took a good look at it, long enough to get a mental picture of it. She'd need that mental picture in a few minutes when she started casting on the garbage bag. She'd learned way back in the first lesson that it was important to not just concentrate, but pretty much go overboard with the concentration when it came to conjuring clothes. With that done, she put her parchment aside, flicked out her wand, and stood to face her mannequin. Maybe this time, just maybe, she'd be able to perform the spell correctly the first time. One could only hope...

Grabbing one of the rubbish bags from the pile, Sophie kept practicing the spell in her head and doing the wand movement as she walked back to her mannequin.

She was sure the spell would work just like the first one. As in, depending on the sharpness of the wand motion and its speed, she would get a different thing. The girl felt like having a bit of fun with it again! Heehee!

"Summitto Vestis." She said aloud once more, while dressing the dummy with the bin bag she had just gotten. When the thing had the black bag as its 'pants', Sophie stepped back and chuckled. The dummy looked really silly right now.

Time to change that. Or make it look even sillier!

Doing the upside down V motion, Sophie pictured random trousers in her head. "Summitto Vestis!" The rubbish bag quickly changed into a really baggy pair of blue trousers.

Hm... it was alright for her first attempt, yes?

Once he was happy with his sketch, Ethan looked up from his parchment to start practicing. He watched Minerva for a few minutes again, marveling at how easy the spell seemed to come to her. Cute little skirt, he thought, wouldn't mind seeing her in that.. But apparently she didn't like it as she reversed the spell.

Okay, the boy really needed to compose his thoughts and get his own work done. He set his sketch down on the table and flipped through his notes to remember the proper spell as he had forgotten. Oh right... Summitto Vestis and upside down V motion. Ethan figured he should practice the motion and incantation first before actually trying the spell again. He raised his wand and pointed it at the bag draped around his mannequin's waist. After a couple of upside down Vs with his wand, he muttered Summitto Vestis a few times.. uh, he wasn't sure he was pronouncing it properly though. Didn't Magnus say there was a certain way of pronouncing it? Too bad he hadn't written that bit down..

Minerva looked at her rubbish bag, how could she possibly get this skirt to grow a bit bigger. Thinking about the skirt she looked at the sketch and tried to visualize a bigger version. Yes this time she had to think bigger if she wanted it to turn out to be the correct size. Looking at the bag she took a deep breath. Doing the wand movement Summitto Vestis She watched as the rubbish bag turned again into the skirt. This time it looked the right size and it had the star on it. Minerva smiled and put it next to her shirt, yes they went together nicely. Now she wondered what the next task would be they would learn. Hmm a few thoughts came to her mind. Placing the mannequin back Minerva cleaned her area to get ready to leave.

As she turned she was shocked to see Ethan in there working. When did he come in. She walked over quietly not wanting to bother anyone. "Hey there, how's your pants coming?" She assumed he was doing pants, he wouldn't be doing a skirt at least she wouldn't think he would. "I had just finished up, but could stick around if you need any help or anything." Of course she would hang around if Ethan needed her to.

Everything was ready and set to go now. The only left to do was cast. ...but no, not so quick. Sierra had been too quick to cast before, and it really got her nowhere. Well, actually, it did get her somewhere--it got her too far behind with a really messed up shirt. She really wanted her jeans to look nice, especially the part with the patch that would match her shirt.

Sierra lowered her wand and stared at the garbage bag. She tried to keep her mind off it being a garbage bag and on it becoming a pair of jeans. She pictured the plastic on the bag hardening into jean material and then turning an indigo color. Then she imagined that patch, the one she really hoped turned out, right on the top of one side of the jeans.

As she thought about this, she raised her wand. "Summitto Vestis!" she said, moving her arm downward, flicking it up, and then down again in an upside down V shape.

Okay now it was time to actually try the spell. Ethan looked down at the sketch of his jeans to memorize it then looked back up at the mannequin. "Oh, hey, Min," he smiled at the girl as his attention was diverted by her appearance. Was she done? He glanced over at her mannequin. "Nice skirt," he grinned back at her. She really was gifted at that sort of thing.. maybe she could give him a hand.

Ethan glanced over at his rubbish bag before turning back to Minerva. "Well, I've only got as far as the sketch.. I haven't tried to transfigure yet." He pointed his wand at it. "Do you think you could watch me and maybe give me some pointers? I appreciate the help, thanks," he gave Minnie a grateful smile, then turned back to perform the spell.

"Summitto Vestis," he commanded with an upside down V swish of the wand. He watched as the bag changed into a denim-like fabric.. but the shape did not change. So it sort of looked a very generic denim skirt, with no buttons or zippers or anything. Well, he wasn't all that surprised.. Turning to Minerva, he said, "So.. any ideas?"

Minerva smiled and looked at his sketch, it looked really good. Then he said about watching and helping she smiled. This was her favorite subject, so of course she would help. "Sure, I would love to help you." She watched as he got ready and said the spell, she even watching his wand movement, but the bag didn't change much. Hmm, she thought about it for a moment and even replayed her own movements in her head. She wanted to make sure she told him correctly what to do.

Moving closer to him she took his hand, "Try doing the upside down V a little sharper like this." Moving his wand with him she showed what she was meaning. "I think your saying the spell pretty clear, but maybe slow it down a bit, just to make sure." She stepped back giving him room again so he could try once more. "Your shirt looked wonderful when done, so I know you can do great with this one as well."

"Reverto," he said. The rubbish bag assumed its unassuming original form. "So this time... right fabric. Clear distinction between the colors. Focus, Mancini. It's your middle name." Well, technically it was Paolo, but whatever. He shook his head, half disgusted and half amused with himself.

The Hufflepuff cleared his throat. Black.. yellow.. leather.. half and half.. "Summitto Vestis," he said, his left hand tracing the "^" shape with his wand. The bag began to flow once more into the shape of trouser bottoms. Upon inspection, the first year was pleased to see the results. "Yes!" They appeared the perfect size, the yellow and black were clearly divided right down the middle, and the black was the shiny texture of leather. Success!

Well, that didn't take nearly as long as he'd expected. I have some time left still, he noted, glancing down at his watch. Dinner wouldn't even begin for another half hour. Maybe I can add something to my design! The Italian was excited. This was definitely progress.

"Reverto."

Once again Sophie wanted to try out a few things before settling with the final version. She hadn't even thought about what she wanted to do, to be honest. Her main focus now was to actually learn/improve the spell. She didn't care about the fashion part one bit. The problem was... she couldn't do the spell right if she didn't think of something. That was the part she didn't like about this spell.

But oh well, she could deal with it. "Summitto Vestis!" The third year cast it again, with a sharper upside down V. She imagined something shorter this time, so her dummy was now wearing some sort of bermudas... or something. Sophie wasn't really sure what that was. It looked weird.

And it was briight, lime green. Hah! Nope. "Reverto." Back to the rubbish bag. The thought that the bin bag looked better than the green... thing she had just transfigured made Sophie giggle. To think that someone would rather wear this black, plastic bag rather than those funky, green bermudas...

Heehee!

He drew a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. Losing his cool wont help him get this homework done and he has to remind himself about the objective-- he needs to transfigure a pair of pants that he has to wear himself AND that it has to go with his already transfigured shirt.

He swiped a new garbage bag and taped it back onto the dummy, splitting it down in the middle and taping it around its legs. Now that it resembled a bit more like pants he stepped back and picked up his wand, then paused. He has to focus on what this should look like-- no shorts, definitely no kilts....

He raised his wand and with the wand stroke he uttered "Summitto Vestis!" The rippling effect cascaded throughout the garbage bag, shrinking it around the legs... and shrinking.... and shrinking....

.... until he ended up with a pair of tights.



Well at least it covers all of his legs right?

Ethan glanced down at his hand as Minerva guided it in the proper movement. A little sharper, okay.. Then he nodded regarding the incantation. He knew that pronunciation was a big part of it so he could try slowing it down as well to see if that would help. Smirking a little, he shook his head, "I don't know about wonderful.. but I'll give it a try."

Pointing his wand at the denim bag, Ethan first cast Reverto and watched it change back into the black plastic. Again he pointed his wand.. this time he made a sharper upside down V and commanded, "Summ-ITTO Vest-IS." The boy watched as the fabric changed to denim again and began to elongate. It grew until it was as long as the trousers he would need and split in the middle.. but the legs never closed together. It was more like a long denim skirt with a long slit down the middle. Ethan laughed a little. "A little closer, I guess."
