There is a door you pass every time you walk along the sixth floor corridor, but it's usually locked up. And will be again. Not so now. It even has a new sign attached, put there by Professor Magnus, instructing you as to what it's for.

Hung around the necks of the mannequins are little signs with a name on - your names. They won't be needed for the last assignment of term, but the pile of paper plates on the side table will be.
Homework Task One: Create a top/jumper/sweater/t-shirt (Summus Vestis)= Completed
Homework Task Two: Create a skirt/trousers/shorts (Summitto Vestis) = Completed
Homework Task Three: Create a pair of boots/shoes (Pedestis) = TBD
A table is now situated off to the left side of the room as you enter, with paper plates on and an old-fashioned muggle camera - the only sort you'll be able to use in the room. She took a step back and watched the girl get to work on the plates. The poor kid nearly got discouraged when she saw how easily the girl got the shoes done. She didn't even need to use the Reverto spell at all; a spell that had practically become Lex's speciality thanks to Transfiguration class. Not that she minded. It was better than being completely terrible at it like she'd been at the start of the year.
Once the shoes were done she took a good look at them then squealed. "These are perfect!!!" And now she had a whole nother pair of blue shoes to love on. "Okay now it's my turn!" After seeing the brilliance the girl created she wanted to give it a hand herself.
Right.
Concentrate.
"Pedestis!" She watched anxiously while the plates shifted and changed, nearly dying when she saw the results. It worked!! It actually worked!! No Reverto, no glaring, no jabbing at it then drawing funny pictures--it worked!!! Eeeep!!
"What do you think?" She did like them right? This was a major accomplishment for the 11 year old!
Kat expected the Alexa girl to complain about how ugly her spellwork was...

WHAT?! Kat's eyes widened at Alexa. She actually liked the shoes she Transfigured? Not just that, she even said they were perfect. Merlin, what happened to the girl's head? Did someone finally knock some sense into her brain? Call the Healers, someone got hit by a "Turn-me-good" spell or something. Alexa being 'good' was a miracle. I repeat, a MIRACLE. "Uhm, thank you?"
Now Kat watched the Lion as she Transfigured the plates into the flip flops she thought of at first. They were alright, though. Alexa's opinion mattered in the assignment 'cause that's exactly what the assignment is about. The partner should choose what best fits. Kat couldn't argue with what Alexa thought since she didn't have the ability to manipulate the minds of others. The Slytherin was pleased when Alexa didn't mess it up. 'Cause that would've been annoying. But when Kat was a firstie, she did better. Just saying. "Good job," Kat said. WAIT, did she just say that to Cambridge? Whoa...
That's a first. Now that they bought had their shoes, it made their outfit complete. "I guess we should go change into our complete outfits then take a picture of each other." Checking the time, Kat saw that they still had time (not a lot though) but their progress was better than expected. The blonde went to get the rest of her outfit and changed. Then she returned wearing her outfit. Alexa, you better do the same.
Now for some picture taking.

Minerva smiled, "Yes those will look great!" Min said excitedly towards the sketch Belle had made. Then she had watched as Belle did the spell and turned the plates into the shoes. "Belle those look great. Hope I won't be taller then Ethan in them." She giggled knowing the Ethan was taller then her so it shouldn't be a problem. When she said about the size Minerva just smiled, "Well it won't matter, once you put the plates down and I stand on them the shoes will then form around my foot so that they will then fit." Minerva slipped off her shoes she had on so that Belle could do the spell and fit the shoes correctly.
Minerva thought is was sweet of Belle to be excited about her making shoes. "Well then I really don't want them to be wrong.." She then bent down and put the plates on the floor. "Just step onto the plates" Once Belle was in position Minerva tapped the plates again. "Pedestis!" She watched as the same purple shoes formed around Belle's feet and the cute little lilac design moved around the shoe. "There those look great! Now you will just need to put on the outfit you designed and take the picture for the wall." Minerva was happy it turned out well and knew Belle would look great in the picture.
Belle was glad the spell was just as easy as Minnie made it to be. As Belle saw the plates forming around her feet, she was starring there wide eyed. "Wooowww..." was all she could muster. Magic was really cool. She was glad she was a witch for this moment. As the plates formed the shoe, Belle wiggled her toes and feet. They fit perfectly. "Awww thanks Min, i love them! They are amazing!" she said and hugged her
Now it was her turn. "Now Minnie you can put your foot down on the plates." Belle instructed as a teacher jokingly of course. As Minnie put her foot down, Belle said the spell "Pedestis!" and she saw the plates forming around Minnie's feet. Even the plates were being raised a little bit. Then the shoes appeared! Belle was waiting for Minnie's reaction before she put on her outfit she designed.
Hannah eyed Laura as the girl explained that she wasn't be sassy. She highly doubted that this much was true because the two girls obviously didn't like each other. Still, Laura had said that she wasn't being sassy so Hannah would leave it at that for now. She still didn't like the giggle that Laura had made, but she too let that go for now.
Hannah had noticed the look on Laura's face when Hannah asked her how she wanted her shoes to look. Surprised much? Yeah, that wasn't very Hannah like to ask how somebody else wanted something done, but she could play nice. Plus she had every intention of getting Laura to make the shoes that she wanted and not the shoes that Laura wanted Hannah to have. Hannah was trying hard to be nice so she could complete the assignment. So Laura shouldn't go and blow it or anything!
Hannah watched as Laura showed her the outfit that she had made. Her first response was to laugh, but she composed herself before her face gave away any of her feelings. The work was good, but Hannah did not like the whole girly feel to it. The shirt was pink for crying out loud. GAG! The skirt was red though and Hannah could do red. "How about some red pumps?" That would look nice. As long as they weren't pink. Please don't say pink.
How nice. Now she was asking Hannah how she wanted her shoes to look. Well, she didn't need any opinions from Hyde. "I want them to be black, closed toe and about 2 inches." That would be perfect. Should she show her, her outfit as well? Heh, might as well. "This is my outfit." She pointed in the direction of her green silk blouse with silver sequins around the top of the shirt. The sleeves went down to her elbow. Her skirt was simple and black. It was the shape of a pencil skirt and looked nice on her.
Laura looked at Hannah, she had a funny feeling that the Slytherin girl was doing what she was doing and being nice so that they could finish this without any trouble of any sort, she had a funny feeling that Hannah wanted rid of her as much as she wanted rid of Hannah.
Laura listened to what Hannah said about the outfit, well there was some truth in that, she was sure that Red shoes would match the rest of the design but she was also thinking that maybe Pink would work as well though she wasn't too sure about that. "Yeah I like the idea or red pumps." Laura smiled that would be so awesome and seriously she wanted to show everyone that she could be nice an work with her enermy.
Laura listened to what Hannah said about her outfit. "I was thinking Black like you but maybe a higher heel like 4 inch?" Laura was sure that would look better with the outfit than a two inch heel shoe, seriously though were was the adventure, Hannah's outfit looked like something an old woman would wear to work in an office, Laura didn't like it that much but she wasn't going to cause an argument by saying anything about it, she was just going to let it go.

Pulling the shirt and skirt off the mannequin Minerva walked over to the screen they had used in class to change for the picture. Placing her pink shirt on Minerva made sure it looked alright. Then she slipped on the jean skirt. She really liked the star theme. Placing the shoes back on she headed out a little self conscious of everyone seeing her in the homework room, but her shoes were looking great, so whatever. Once in front of Belle she moved her hands out and smiled "Well what do you think? The shoes go great with it!" Checking to see if the camera was on the table she noticed that it was. She turned back to Belle, "You go change now and I'll grab the camera."

Not a fashion designer aat aaall. Nope.
But oohh, look at Ella's work! "Yours is quite cool as well!" She beamed at her friend, grinning some more. Funny how they made complete different things, heh! The best part was that this task would make them have to think like the other... and make a shoe that fit their partner's style. Interesting!
"Okay, so... do you have anything in mind that you want me to make to finish your outfit?" Because Sophie had no idea, as usual. Maybe Ella could give her some insight or something? The third year placed the paper plates on the floor in front of their dummies and stepped back to take a good look at... the whole. "...... I really have no idea." Hehe.
The book could give them a few ideas, no? Sophie remembered seeing some drawings of shoes and whatnot while studying the spell. So she pulled her Transfiguration book from her bag and sat down on the floor. Flipping through the pages, the fourteen year-old looked up at the dummies every now and then. "Here it is!" She said as she ran her fingers on the page. "Hm... my outfit if not as fancy as yours, maybe it could be something more... sportsy?" Sophie waved her wand lazily as she spoke to Ella, practicing the wand movement for a bit.
Tap. Tap. Pedestis!
Ella grinned back at her best friend before observing her outfit more carefully, taking the time to circle the mannequin and look at the smaller details. It really was perfectly Sophie, right down to the details on the shorts. Oh! And all the colors? BEAM. Ella knew Sophie loved rainbows so it was definitely not a surprise that her outfit would be so colorful!
"Thanks, Soph! I know it's a bit plain but I really like the pink and white together." And having the color on the pants was kind of different, yeah? Ella really liked it. She also liked the fact that they were going to help each other complete their outfits! That was pretty neat as well. Working with Sophie was always fun. BEAM.
Did she have anything in mind? Ella shrugged her shoulders and shook her friend. "I...no, not really. I mean I guess the outfit is a bit plain so maybe a comfortable flat type of shoe or sneaker?" Something with a bit of color, maybe? Sophie was really good as making colorful things! As for Sophie's outfit, Ella looked at her friend curiously. "Do you think you'd want colorful shoes as well or kind of more plain?" Because that was important information to have, yeah? Ella thought so.
Watching as Sophie took out her Transfiguration book and sat on the floor, Ella then plopped down right next to her friend. "Good thinking." She said with a smile. Surely they could get some great ideas from the text! "Yeah! Yeah, yours could be more of a sporty shoe and perhaps mine could be a bit more dressy...though nothing like heels! Meep. I could never ever walk in those things." Gran was always insisting she wear them but she was just SO not a fan.
"Do you think maybe we should sketch our ideas out and then decide? I have a few for yours so far! They might be nice." And hopefully Sophie didn't think they were complete rubbish! That wouldn't be good.

Good job? She thought it was a good job?! Awesome! Finally a piece of transfigured dress that didn't turn out to be a complete and total disaster. Sure she figured it was a success simply because it didn't blow up but it was even more a success because Kat said it was a good job.
SIGH.
She felt so happy now.
Lex nodded at the girl's suggestion then hurried off to get changed as well. When she heard they'd get to play with the camera she was super excited. Amanda never let her play with the one at home...sad but true...
Minutes later she came back, dressed in her outift and gave the girl a nod to show that she was ready. Now the fun could start. Hopping over to the camera Lex snatched it up and aimed it at her. "Okay, ready when you arrreeee." She gave the girl a moment to pose or do whatever it was she wanted then once it looked like the girl was ready she took a few snap shots of her.
If the pictures didn't turn out well it was soooo not her fault.

Vivi was so elegant and held herself well, Kurumi thought so at least. She could probably pull off a ratty pair of sneakers like they belong to royalty.
Spotting Vivi by their mannequins, she made her way over to the Ravenclaw and plopped herself down on the ground next to her while setting her bag on her lap and reaching inside for magazine number one. "Hey," she said with a small finger wiggle. "You um...have any idea for what sort of shoe you envision yourself wearing with that outfit?"
Vivi scooted over to allow Kurumi to take a seat beside her. There were plenty of supplies to go around, she supposed, noting the magazines even as she shoved over parchment and charcoals. The trouble today wouldn't be inspiration, not with all those magazines to look through. The trouble today would be courage.
That should be easier for Kurumi, right? Being a Gryffindor and all.
Vivi lifted her foot, which was currently clad in a heavy boot suitable for outdoor wear. "I don't have any new ideas. I did that flat, slouchy boot last time, so I suppose something a bit dressier and more feminine this time. Black, probably, unless you want to go really bold with the colors."
Bold. Not a word that ever ever described Vivi's wardrobe, but she was being brave too. Like Kurumi. "What about you, though? Can I talk you into heels, or is that still a no go? Maybe if you don't have to do any walking?"

Oh it was her turn, handing over the camera she smiled. "Okay..." She wasn't sure if she was good a posing, but she would try. Smiling with her hands on her hips she waited for Belle to take a picture. Would one be enough.. hmm backing up a bit, "Can't forget to get the shoes in the picture." She spun and turned smiling towards Belle. This was fun.. Once all the pictures were done for both of them Minerva walked back to the changing area and changing her clothes again. As she got the dressing room of her own, she got into her robes. She wished she could wear her outfit to classes but she knew she couldn't. As Belle was packing up her clothes in the bag, Belle asked Minnie for the picture. Once she did then she posted it on the wall. "Look at our photos aren't we so sexy and fierce? And of course you look adorable Minnie." Belle said to Minnie with a smile.
Then when Minnie mentioned they head out, Belle agreed. "I wish we could do this every lesson." Belle said as she walked out with Minnie. "I do not think i had this much fun doing homework."

Bold. Not a word that ever ever described Vivi's wardrobe, but she was being brave too. Like Kurumi. "What about you, though? Can I talk you into heels, or is that still a no go? Maybe if you don't have to do any walking?"
Kurumi began to flip through the magazine again, staaaaaaaaaring at the endless show possibilities. It was one thing designing something for yourself and not really having any expectations, but designing something for a friend and not wanting to let them down...well...that was different. "Black works I think. I'd hate for your shoes to take away from the color of your blouse," Kurumi said with a small nod. "Although...there does seem to be a fashion trend of brightly colored shoes with outfits...like...neon orange..."
But Kurumi only wrinkled her nose at this thought.
She glanced nervously at Vivi and thought for a moment. She was 18 now, still a relatively new 18-year-old, and if there was any time to step into a new role then it was now, right? "You know...let's do it. Put me in heels." Just not any crazy 10 inch heels. "You too? Heels I mean."

"Heels," Vivi repeated, her mouth slowly tasting the word before she nodded. Yup. Heels made sense for Kurumi, mostly because they scared the pants off the girl. And so heels made sense for Vivi, not because she was scared but because she was trying to make an effort to find the inner girly girl. Or something like that.
"Heels for me as well. What color shall we do yours, though? I mean... basic black is always safe, but I almost feel like we need to get you a bit of color because your top is black. But... the skirt is so busy..." She debated with herself. Black was safe, and since the shoes were already pretty dangerous.
"I'll make them in black, and then I can charm different colors if I don't like how they look."

So, black heels for Vivi. This shouldn't be too bad. Just as long as she didn't transfigure photo frames again on accident that is. Oh, maybe they should do things that way? Have the other stand ON the plates and then perform the spell for added level of difficulty? It would be too easy to just do it on the plates, right?
"Open toe heel for you? Since it's going to be summer and all," Kurumi asked as she saw some in the magazine she was looking at. "Oh, um...I don't know...black works I guess...or...maybe using the color of the ribbon? That purple?" Or was that too much matchy match? Kurumi really wouldn't know.
"Pedestis," Kurumi muttered under her breath more as a reminder for what spell they were using than anything else. She still didn't really have a concrete idea as to what sort of shoe she would be making Vivi anyway. THERE WERE JUST TOO MANY STYLES!

"Open toes are pretty... like sandals, almost," Vivi tilted her head thoughtfully at the idea. Yes, she could definitely see that working. Pretty high-heeled sandals wouldn't seem fussy and over the top the way that close-toed shoes did. She added colored ribbons to the sketch she was working on at Kurumi's suggestion, but they just... she wasn't sure. Maybe she had to see them before she could decide what exactly would work for Kurumi. Ribbons on top of the fussy-but-pretty skirt and bow might be way too much going on at once.
"Don't be scared, mon chou. I promise you won't fall in anything I create." Her eyes drifted across the students gathered to work on the project, and she considered their classmates thoughtfully as she continued, "I bet your Lewis would love to see you in this outfit. He'll know that you put effort into it, and that you care about being seen in it, and we already know it fits and flatters you. So we'll just think about that when we're trying out shoes. The perfect audience."

So there they were again. Those blank, white, paper plates. Staring at him. Mocking him. Refusing to become the perfect specimen of fluffy badger footwear. The almost-second-year frowned. How many tries would they take? One? Five? Twenty? Oh gosh, I hope not that many! The small Italian shuddered at the thought.
May as well keep going. Especially if it's going to take twenty more tries. He readjusted his position on the plates, taking care not to slip like he did in front of Captain Ness during the lesson. And then the entire class on the runway.. No, he couldn't think about this. It would intrude on that ever-important focus.
The Keeper closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, then let out a slow, measured breath. Leaning over, he opened his eyes to perform the spell. "Pedestis." With a tap on the left plate and another on the right, he waited to see what would happen. "Oh, now that's just worse!" he exclaimed, dismayed. Not only did the badger face look like it had had an unpleasant encounter with a brick wall, the fur was just as coarse and short as his previous attempt. "I'm going backwards!"

Open toe shoes it was for Vivi then. Something simple...maybe with a few embellishments on them but nothing too loud. Vivi didn't seem the sort to walk around with diamond studded heels for example. Not to mention Kurumi felt somewhat embarrassed about transfiguring something THAT fancy. "Okay...classy open toe heels for you..." she chirped. Now it was time to get back to research and become inspired.
"Mon chou?" Kurumi repeated, glancing up from her magazine and cocking her head to the side. Vivi was speaking in funny words again. Oh, was it French? Vivi had done that in a lesson this term so maybe it was French. Or a made up Vivi language. She did seem the sort to make up something like that now that Kurumi got to thinking about it. But before Kurumi could think too much more on the matter her cheeks were flushed and she had to avert her eyes. "My Lewis..." she repeated, blushing slightly again. "I've never called him that before. Seems so...possessive...you know?"
But that probably wasn't the point to what Vivi was saying anyway.
"I mean...um....he doesn't really mind how I dress...but he would be surprised to see me looking so fancy," she smiled, blush sliiiiiiiiiightly fading a little. And with the idea of Lewis maybe being in the audience for her modeling this outfit, well, maybe Kurumi really could wear ten inch heels. Hmmm. "I really want you two to meet, you know," Kurumi said somewhat suddenly as she stopped on a page with lots of open toe shoes. "Things are a little hectic this term for him, so maybe we can do something over the summer?" But then would Vivi feel uncomfortable since it would be her and Lewis, the couple, and then Vivi? She didn't want that.

So! While Ella walked around her mannequin, taking a better look at the outfit she had made, Sophie decided to do the same and inspect her friend's work. She could sort of imagine what shoes could go with that, but didn't decide on anything just yet.
"Mum says simple things can look way better than complex things." The young badger nodded her head, smiling at the blonde. It was plain, but it was nice! Yep!
Hmmm, flat type. That sounded easy! Easier than a sneaker, actually, and since that was a bit more of a fancy outfit, she'd go with that. They could play with the details and whatnot, right? Yeah, that was good enough! When Ella asked if Sophie would want colourful or plain shoes she stared at her work for a few seconds. "I think it'd be best if they were co- plain... No, colourful! But... plain..." Meep! "Maybe something plain with some colourful details?" Hehehe! She really had no idea. Reeeally! "You choose, I don't mind!" The third year gave her another quick smile before resuming her wand practice.
Goood! Ella didn't want heels. "Oh, I could never walk on those either!" The girl chuckled looking at her friend, the book still open on her lap. "Actually, I had never worn one of those..." She knew she would be a total disaster trying. It would be funny though! "Yeah, I think it'll be good if we stick with the flat shoes you said earlier." Sophie nodded again, closing the book and grabbing her wand once again.
"Sketching would be good, yeah!" Sophie had done that when she was working on the other parts of the outfit. It would be easier to picture exactly what they wanted if they drew it down, right? And they could help each other out with ideas for details and all that.
The brunette pulled out some parchment and her coloured pencils from her bag, grinning at her friend. "I imagined we would do something like that, so...!" Teehee. Before she began drawing, though, she gave each of the paper plate a tap of her wand. "Pedestis!" Both of the plates started gaining some sort of volume and changing their shape until they formed a funky shaped pair of flip flops. Giggle! Those looked weird. "Reverto!"
Onto drawing then! The fourteen year-old sketched and sketched, and dreeeew and coloured away. Oh, wait. Ella's shoes were supposed to be plain, right? Well, not necessarily, but at least not THAT colourful. "Woops, hehe! I got a bit carried away..." With a wave of her wand, she cast a really cool spell she had learned a few weeks earlier, making most of the colour vanish from the parchment.
Woop woop! Chaaaaaarms!

Well... hurry up, Cambridge. The Slytherin won't be waiting for forever just for you, ya know. She's got more important things to wait for and Alexa is obviously not part of it. At all. Kat waited, duh, but not patiently. When the Lion arrived Kat examined her first, head to toe. Good enough, child. But that's her shoes she's wearing, mind you. "Alright," Kat said. HOLD UP, she was starting first? Pffffffft, they knew very well Kat hated posing but... this was homework.
The blonde pushed the other feelings aside and placed a hand on her hip. Gosh, more like a runway model for this one. The Slytherin managed a smile and waited for the camera to flash. It indicated that she was done with her 'photoshoot'. It was good, really. Once finished, Kat got the camera from Alexa and waited for the Lion to pose. "Your turn now."
The girl obviously took enough shots for the Lion to choose from, so it was no problem if the Lion hated one of them. But if she hated all of them, sorry Kat did not do double sessions. No, thank you. One session is enough for an array of pictures to choose from. Don't demand for MORE.
Once everything was set and the two were done with their job in the Homework Room, Kat chose the best photo of her and pinned it to the board. Tada, she was finished. The girl then went to change back to her uniform. Before leaving though, the Slytherin bid her goodbyes (that was weird) to Alexa despite how much she disliked her... but hey at least she wasn't annoying like before. Progress, that was.
Yeah... nothing more important now. Kat slung her bag over her shoulder and left the room without looking back. BUSINESS HERE WAS OVER ANYWAY.

Ethan glanced at his mannequin for a moment and tilted his head slightly to give it an appraising look. His first thought was to go casual.. maybe cowboy boots would work with this? Hmm.. No, something more formal would suit his taste better in terms of footwear. Turning back to Vickers, he nodded to himself in confirmation and said, "The formal type, I think.. Just plain leather, no embellishments or anything." Formal yes, fancy no.
Furrowing his brow, he turned his attention to Vickers' outfit as he spoke. School shoes..? Why would he want another pair if he already had some? But if that was what he wanted.. Oh, but he did decide on loafers and Ethan happily agreed. That's what he thought would look best, anyway. Nodding, he said, "Yeah.. sure.. that's what I was thinking too. Something to match the brown in the collar. At least I'll try.." He gave the boy a tentative grin. The 16 year old wasn't the best at Transfiguration, but hopefully he could create what the other boy wanted.
"So, um.. do you want to try first?" Ethan gestured down at the pair of paper plates he was still standing on. He knew this was an easier spell that the two previous, but he was sure he could still learn a tip or two from the older boy if he watched him first.
"Formal, plain leather boots. Got it." Vickers nodded his head firmly, understanding Ethan's request. It should be something like formal shoes he usually wears with his tux but boot like right? How hard can it be?
"Yeah sure I can go ahead.... " he replied as he took hold of his wand "just.... give me a minute..." he murmured as he stepped aside to practice on the wand stroke and the incantation a few times. He did manage to create shoes when the spell was taught in class, but like today where his goal was something simple like leather shoes, he ended up creating sneakers.
But he knew all he really needed was to focus and to keep the idea in the for front of his mind. Leather boots, thats what Ethan needs. "Okay here we go..." he finally murmured as he turned his attention back to his fellow Claw. Glancing between the Ethan's mannequin and the paper plates beneath the boy's feet he squinted his eyes and tried to visualize those plates wrapping around Ethan's feet and turning into boots. Leather boots dont forget.
With a few practice wandstrokes Vickers finally bent down to tap the edge of the paper plates, uttering "Pedestis!" As the paper plates did their usual fluttering beneath Ethan's weight Vickers was almost glaring as the spell went about its work. NOT sneakers, NOT paper shoes... boots... leather boo--
Brows go up as his lips presses together in surprise. Suffice it to say he did better than conjuring paper sneakers.... But "Well..... you said leather boots right? I dont think anybody would ever question the authenticity of that just by looking at it. If anything they'd likely question him about missing reptiles....

Ella smiled at Sophie as she shared a bit of her mom's wisdom. The third year wished she could do the same...She did have some of Gran's knowledge she could share, though. Even if most of the time Gran talked nonsense. Heh. "Gran says life is better with a little color." So really it wasn't surprise Ella thought Sophie was so awesome, she was kind of like Gran in a way. Mhm! BEAM.
Sophie's indecision made Ella giggle and she shook her head at her friend. "I think plain with some colorful aspects sounds really good, actually!" And besides, colorful things just suited Sophie so it wouldn't be right to not add some color! The small blonde watched her friend's wand work and decided to practice a bit too, mimicking her friend's motions. Sophie was good with this sort of stuff so Ella thought it best to watch, learn, and try it out on her own.
Oh! So Sophie had never worn heels? Ella had, not only on the rare occasions that her Gran insisted on it. "They're so awful, Soph. My toes felt like they were being strangled by a Grindylow the entire time." And she nodded seriously before shuddering a little. Ick. Heels. "Okay, sounds good to me too!" See? They were totally making progress here.
She liked the sketching idea? BEAM. Ella was glad because it was an important part of the design process, yeah? She giggled as Sophie pulled out parchment and colored pencils, reaching into her own bag and doing the same. HEHEHE. #BRAINTWINS. "I thought the same thing, actually." Great minds think alike, yeah?
Sketch. Sketch. Sketchhhhhh.
Ella ended up with a nice pair of black sneakers with rainbow laces. They were hightops but she figured Sophie could totally rock those. BEAM. Now to try and make the things come to life. Hmm...
Walking over to her plates, Ella bent down and tapped each plate with her wand. "Pedestis!" She watched as they slowly took shape into a very odd pair of sneakers that were MUCH taller than she wanted them to be. "Erm...I should try that again...Reverto" Because Sophie surely didn't want knee-length sneakers. Or...did she? Hmm.

Oh so now it was her turn to pose.
Not. Gonna. Happen.
The 11 year old simply stood there and waited for the girl to finish taking the pictures. Merlin, she didn't know why she needed so many shots but she wouldn't stop her just in case one of them happened to turn out differently than the others in some way. Meh. Clothes and dressing up were lame.
She thanked her for the pictures once she handed them to her then tried to pick the best one...they were all pretty much the same. Finally deciding on one she took it and pinned it next to the Slytherin's own. Good. Now she could leave right? Homework done? No more hard work?
"Byyyyeee!!" Lex grinned widely at the girl before turning to go get changed. After left she left, humming a merry tune.

Sierra led the way into the homework room, ready to get her homework done at, you guessed it--the last minute! Who was she leading? Well, none other than Milton Shacklebolt. The Ravenclaw wasn't actually doing the homework (the slacker!), but Sierra had somehow talked him into coming in here, so she could get hers done. She thought he probably just wanted the free pair of shoes, though. Heh.
Who wouldn't?
"Okay, Milton," she said. "What's your favorite outfit? ...and don't say anything to do with Quidditch. I think it'd be kind of difficult to make some shoes to go with that. What's your favorite...casual outfit?" she asked. As she waited for a reply, she flicked her wand out her holster and tossed two paper plates onto the ground.
Ella smiled at Sophie as she shared a bit of her mom's wisdom. The third year wished she could do the same...She did have some of Gran's knowledge she could share, though. "Erm...I should try that again...Reverto" Because Sophie surely didn't want knee-length sneakers. Or...did she? Hmm.
"Oh, I say your gran is RIGHT!" Sophie beamed at Ella's grandma's saying. That was so true! "Not with just a little colour, though. TONS of it!!" She added, making a big gesture for extra emphasis. But yeah, didn't have to be all rainbowy and all. It would still be lovely if it were, but it wasn't of extreeeme importance.
Aha! Ella understood! "Sounds perfect!" Sophie grinned. So hers would be sporty and plain, but with colourufl detailsss and Ella's would be... what? "You think it'd be best if yours were... like some basic shoes? Like, white or black, that go with everything?" Since the pants were already quite bright, so it would be interesting if the shoes were a bit more neutral, yes? Or... no? Sophie wasn't that fond of fashion, peeps! Help her out! "I'm really bad at this stuff, what do you think??" She looked at Ella with a... thinking face.
Heels were that awful?? Sophie raised her eyebrows at her friend when the girl told her about them. "Wow, I hope I don't ever have to wear anything like that! They sound terrible and painful!" It wasn't like Sophie wanted to pretend to be taller anyway!
Ooohhhh, brain twiins!!! BEAM!"Good thinking, Ella!" Hehehehehehe! The brunette eyed the sketch she had made of Ella's shoes. After another wave of her wand, the drawing was all black and white. "Tell me, Ella, black, white, or whaaat?" She would let Ella choose, of course! It was supposed to go with her outfit, sooo...
"Those are looking great!" Sophie exclaimed when she took a look at Ella's sketch. Lovely colours! Her friend knew her too well, heh! Brilliant! But the ones that had been transfigured from the paper plates were... funnier than the ones Ella drew. Sophie chuckled when the blonde said she should try again. "Yeah, sounds good!" Because those shoes were looking quite funneeehhh!
Okay! Onto mooore practice! "You think it would be better if they looked like this..." Sophie tapped her wand on each plate. "Pedestis!" And waited for a pair of some plain, toootally plain flat shoes appear in front of them. "Or... Reverto." Back to paper plates. "Pedestis." Pretty much the same shoes as before were there again, but with a very wonky looking lace on top of each of them. "... not this!" What?? That wasn't supposed to happen. "Hehehe, just ignore this. Reverto."
Paper plates again.

Ethan nodded as Vickers prepared to transfigure his shoes. "Sure.. no problem," he said as his housemate asked for a few minutes. Ethan knew more than anyone the importance of practicing spells many, many times before getting them right and he could certainly understand if the older boy needed the same allowance. The 16 year old watched as he practiced a few times before pointing the wand at his feet and he gave him an encouraging nod. He watched curiously as the paper plates began to take shape and form over his feet.
Tilting his head slightly, Ethan took in the appearance of the shoes. Well.. they were interesting to the say the least.. Looking back up at Vickers, Ethan grinned a little and said, "They're kinda cool, actually.. but not really what I had in mind.. for the outfit, I mean.. More of like a plain brown?" He looked at the seventh year a bit questioningly. Did he think he might try again? Because he wasn't sure he wanted to walk around looking like basilisk skin was wrapped around his feet.

Pao gave a large sigh. "Reverto," he said. The Italian stared at the pair of paper plates. "WHY won't you just.. be slippers?" he complained to them. Letting out another sigh, he went back to the drawing board. Eyes shut, he again visualized what he wanted, right down to the beady little eyes. Heh, beady. Cuz they're made from beads.. Aaaaand not helping. The boy imagined the feel of the hair, the exact position of the white stripe, and the amount of cushiony padding under his feet.
After several minutes of letting this image, this feeling fill his mind, Logan Mancini was ready for business. Okay, the past tries are history. Let's do this right this time. Wand gripped firmly, Pao tapped each plate--first the left, then the right. As he did so, he spoke the incantation clearly. "Pedestis."
The first year waited for several seconds that seemed like several minutes. But when the transfiguration was complete.. "Now THAT'S more like it!" he exclaimed excitedly. Checking them over, he noted that the hair was a much finer texture and the face looked just fine. "So that's done, then, I gue--"
SIGH.
It was then he noticed that he had forgotten to stand on the paper plates before trying the spell. They're not going to fit, are they.. Sure enough, they were about three sizes too big. And yet his confidence was definitely up from last time around. I should be able to reproduce that no problem.
