Vickers was staring blankly at his dummy. If he was crafting some kind of superhero costume for Muggle Studies class this would prove to be quite alright, but he wasnt. And no he wasnt settling for a pair of tights. Wearing something that would hug every bend and curve of the lower half of his body is not going to happen thankyouverymuch.

He aimed his wand at the dummy and reversed the spell, the taped up garbage bag immediately reappearing in the tights' place. He drew a deep breath and stared at the plastic for a while.... At least he got it too go full length, he just needed to keep it from hugging his legs too much.

He turned his head and looked at his first homework hanging by the far wall. That was particularly inspired work right there. Given that these were now a pair of pants he didnt want it to be as ornate as the shirt, but rather complimentary.

Turning his attention back to the dark plastic he stared at it again, this time trying to visualized something that wouldnt be so tight. Raising his wand he traced an inverted V towards it and uttered "Summitto Vestis!"....

The plastic rippled about again and started to shrink. He stared at it hard, willing it to stop shrinking riiiight about NOW.

It stopped shrinking alright. And was now a pair of plain black cotton trousers.

Minerva couldn't help but chuckle a bit, "You mean you don't think you would look good in a skirt." She winked at him then looked back at the material. "Yes your almost there. I know you will get this. Just really visualize pants this next time." She encourage and looked at the sketch to see if there was any details that could be focused on that could push the pant legs together this time.

"Try to see the thread of the legs coming together, maybe that could help." She had faith in Ethan and new he was smart, so she had no worries that his pants wouldn't come together. Stepping back she didn't want to be a distraction as he tried again.

Vickers did this small fist pump when he finally got those black trousers to transfigure. He turned his eyes back towards the far wall to look at his shirt again. The fabric wasnt quite plain black... more like a blue-black shade to help make the eagle design pop out. He pondered if he could replicate that effect for the pants. Unfortunately it wasnt something that he did on purpose as it turned out more for a fortuitous accident.....

He drew a deep breath and held his wand aloft, concentrating on making the fabric more bluish just like the shirt. With another inverted V stroke he uttered "Summitto Vestis!" onto the black trousers....

Another ripple effect commenced, the black pant legs flapped about as a barely discernible blue shade started to spread throughout the dark fabric. When it settled down Vickers dragged the dummy around to see if there was any difference..... there was, the midnight blue shades catching the light as he moved the pant legs. Whats better there was a blue strip outlining the seam of the pant legs, a nice accent that should go well with the shirt.

Now would this be wearable and not fall apart when he wears it? The shirt didnt when he tested it out, and he's hoping it would be the same for this:

Sierra opened her eyes, expecting to see that by some miracle, her pants had suddenly appeared. Inside, what she saw was her rainbow, striped shirt with a garbage bag underneath. What had happened?! She'd done everything so perfectly--just as the professor had told them to! See, this was why Sierra sometimes didn't like Transfiguration. It just didn't work.

She refused to believe that it could be her spell work that might be the issue. With a sigh, she decided to try again. "Summitto Vestis!" she said, moving her arm downward, flicking it up, and then down again in an upside down V shape. She focused hard on the garbage bag and once again imagined it morphing into the pair of pants she'd designed. They were blue, indigo to be exact, because they were blue jeans. Not just any type of blue jeans, though--they had a patch on the top of one side. This patch was what made the jeans match the top so well.

Focusing...focusing...focusing.

What could she do now? Hmmm...

Crossing her arms and tapping her wand on her chin, Sophie thought about something else to try out. She wanted do to some random practice before transfiguring the bottom part she would settle with.

The girl though about some skirt now, since she had gotten trousers and bermudas sort of right. But what kind of skirt...?

Her uniform skirt? Nahhh, they already wore that alllll the time. But maybe she could try it out just to see if she could get closer to the 'original' version? "Summitto Vestis!" Sophie said firmly, doing the wand movement and concentrating on the skirts they used to wear pretty much everyday.

Aaand tadah! There it was! A dark kind-of-straight-but-not-really skirt. She had done it! Woop! Though... it didn't go with the top that was on her mannequin at all. Sooooo she couldn't leave it like that.

Sophie sat down next to her bag and put her Transfiguration book away, getting some parchment this time. She was going to draw the final version of the clothing this time as well. To make sure she would get as many details as possibly - that was what professor Magnus really wanted, right?

...and then she opened her eyes.

*blink* ... *blink again* "It worked," she mumbled to herself. Why did everything always happen the second time in Transfiguration? What was wrong with finally doing something after the very first try? Ehh. Who cared? Well, Sierra did...a little, but at least she had something to turn in to her professor now.

She looked at her creation. There it was, just as she'd imagined. A pair of blue jeans with a patch to match the shirt she'd created for the last homework assignment. She dropped her wand to her side and just stepped back and looked. A smile spread across her face. It was a smile only someone who took great pride in their accomplishments could give.

Well, that's a wrap. Sierra pushed her wand back into its holster, grabbed the parchment she'd used to design her outfit, threw her bag over her shoulder, and left the room.

Draaawiiiing!

After a few minutes of sketching and adding colours and details and whatnot, Sophie stared at her creation for a bit, adding a few more things whenever she felt necessary. It had to go with her blue shirt with yellow and green waves, right?

Jeans? Were she even able to transfigure the plastic rubbish bag into jeans?? That sounded difficult... so Sophie got up and decided to try the spell again before deciding on the material. "Summitto Vestis." The thirteen year old concentrated as hard as she could, thinking about jeeeeeans. The dummy was wearing now some blue shorts. Kind of weird looking as well. She stepped closer and touched it. That was not jeans. Frown. "Reverto."

Straight face. She was determined and she would get it right no matter what! "Summitto Vestis!" Upside down V and stuff. She got closer to the dummy again to feel the pants now. Still not jeans!

JEANS!! She wanted JEANS! Bending down, she grabbed the parchment with her drawing and stared at it for a few loong seconds. Looking up confidently at the rubbish bag once again, the girl pointed her wand at it. "Reverto." Deep breath.

"Summitto Vestis." She emphasised each word as she did a steady upside down V motion. Sophie looked quite serious right now. She wanted her JEANS!

And... lkfjsdngkjdngjk THERE THEY WERE!!! Hohohohohohoho!!!! GRIN!BEAM!! The frown left her face and Sophie was now smiling widely. She had done it!! The shorts were JEANS! And it even had the red details on the edge of the pockets like she wanted - you know, so her outfit would have all of the House colours, heh.

"There you go." Sophie told the dummy as she finished putting her stuff away and pocketed her wand. "Bye!" and saying that, she spun on her heels and left the room.

Logan closed his eyes now as he tried to focus only on the finished product that he wanted to create. He saw the black pants with the word 'Larry' written all across in the same text as the shirt. The same colour of green.

When he felt that he had the perfect image of it in his mind's eye, he opened his eyes and with the picture still in his head, pointed his wand at the bag that would soon be his pants. Upside down V motion, and "Summitto Vestis!" Eagerly he waited for the pants to form before his eyes.

And they did... but he saw that there was a little difference between the shade of green on them, and the shade of green that he wanted. It was a little too dark. The perfectionist that he could be, Logan wasn't satisfied with what he had gotten. Pointing his wand at the pants, he did a quick "Reverto."

Time to try again.

Once again, he closed his eyes and worked to clear his mind of anything besides what he wanted to create. This time, he pictured the pants with writing that was a little lighter than the first attempt had produced. Opening his eyes again, he made the upside down V again. "Summitto Vestis!"

And now the colour was right, but the text was a little off. GRRR!

One more time. He would try this once more and then he would be happy with whatever he had gotten. "Reverto!"

This time, he kept his eyes closed as he cast the spell, thinking that maybe if he did that, it would be easier to focus on what he was trying to create. "Summitto Vestis!" And BAM! When he opened his eyes, he had his pants right before him. WHOOO!

After putting his stuff away, he left the room.

So what could he add to it to make it even more Hufflepuffier? Maybe a badger somewhere? Probably not. It'd be both difficult and, likely, tacky-looking. Stripes, perhaps. No, because it's already half and half with the colors. That defeats the purpose. This was an area in which he struggled--creativity. "Erm..."

He finally settled on something, but he wasn't sure he'd like it. Repeating the required steps once more, he recited, "Summitto Vestis," while performing the double-upside-down-V-flick motion. The crinkling noise soon stopped and he stepped back to admire the creation from a few angles. "Eh, no. Polka dots just aren't my thing, I guess. Reverto."

The plain bag was present once more. "So I hope I can do it the old way again." Because if he'd just gotten too big a head and thought he could do too much--then ended up taking forever to get it right again--he'd be upset with himself. It was not a very Ravenclaw thing to do, so he knew his mother would yell at him if she found out. Good thing she's back in Italy and this isn't for Aunt Faith's class! Because then she WOULD find out.

"Summitto Vestis." After the proper wand movement, he anxiously waited for the end product. "Oh good," he said with a sigh of relief. It was back to normal. The right size, right leg black leather, left leg yellow cloth, and no hideous polka dots. "Good enough! That's a wrap!"

He consulted his watch. Good, just enough time to dump my stuff in our sleeping area before dinner. Giving Pao Jr. a friendly pat on the shoulder, he scampered off towards the Great Hall.

With the mannequins back in their usual place, along the back wall of the homework room, Issy levitated the table in. Putting it to the side, she dumped the box of paper plates she'd been carrying down on it and unloaded them into a few small piles.

Taking the camera from around her neck, Issy carefully placed it at the back of the table and fixed a sign next to it: PLEASE DO NOT PLAY WITH THE CAMERA UNNECESSARILY. IT'S NOT A TOY.

On the wall above the table, she fixed up the board she'd left leaning against it at the end of the last assignment. Now, all was ready for them to finish the task she'd set them. With a nod, she turned on her heel and left the room.

Ethan walked into the homework, slightly amazed at being the first one there. He did make it a point of being there early, having been late with the last homework and wanting to get this out of the way for OWL studying.. but first? Shrugging lightly, the fifth year walked over to the desk to pick up a couple paper plates then headed to the back of the room. Upon sight of his own transfigured work, Ethan walked over to the mannequin and began wheeling it up to his workspace. No, they didn't really need them this time, but he wanted it for visual reference to see what shoes would work with his outfit best.. right?

And now to get to work. For this assignment, he knew he needed to have a partner to work with and to transfigure shoes for each other. But seeing as he was the first one there.. that part would have to wait. He could practice in the meantime and, even though this spell seemed a bit easier to him than the previous ones, the boy knew he needed all the practice he could get. Eyeing his fashion choice draped around the mannequin, Ethan thought for a moment before placing the paper plates on the ground and standing upon them. Pulling his wand out, he pointed.. "Pedestis."

Minerva walked into the homework room. She was going to meet Belle there for their final project. Walking in she stopped and giggled a bit, then shook her head. "Hey Ethan, looks like even when we don't plan it we end up in the same place." Not that was a bad thing at all. She always enjoyed being in the same room as him. "Last assignment for this class." She said hopeful, but yet sad. She hated seeing Transfiguration end for the term. If all the other ones ended, but not transfiguration she would be very happy.

Moving to an empty seat she set down her bag. Then walked over and retrieved her mannequin and two plates. Once she had them on her desk she looked around trying to find Belle's mannequin figuring she could help her friend out and get it set up for her, but there were so many mannequins that she wasn't sure she knew exactly which one was Belle's. So maybe she would wait until her friend got there to get her own.

Headed back to her seat she decided to pull out some parchment knowing she would be needing to do a sketch of the shoes first, before she would even be able to think about trying the spell. Thinking about the cute shoes she had made by accident, Minerva was hopefully that even if she messed up a bit they could still turn out nice.

Vickers rounded the corner and entered the Transfigurations practice room, spotting Ethan practicing and Min not far away. "Hey guys!" he greeted the couple with his usual shy wave, before stopping by and grabbing a handful of paper plates for his and Ethan's use. Just as he was was turning away from the table he spotted the camera or the desk. He couldnt help bending down and checking it out for a bit, as he too was a guy who has a thing for cameras. Hmm, hopefully he could come up with something that would make Ethan happy and would look good on print right?

He managed to tear himself away from fawning over the camera and made his way to the Ravenclaw fifth year. "Hey Ethan... which of those was yours again?" Vickers asked his fellow Claw as he pointed to the row of dummies that wore the clothes. There were so many of them now it took him a while to even find his own dummy. "Oh mine is over there" he pointed when he finally found his own blue creations.

As Belle went to their last homework assignment for Transfiguration, Belle was sort of glad. She had too much on her plate right now. She needed a breather. But she was glad to help out Minnie do her homework. That is what friends were for. As Belle entered the room, Belle beamed at the sight of Minnie. Her best friend was all prepared. She had her mannequin and everything.

"Look at you being so prepared." Belle smiled.

Then she went to the back of the classroom and looked for her mannequin. As she found it, Belle moved it towards Minnie's. Then she got two paper plates for her shoes. As Belle got everything, she needed a little refresher. "So what homework do we have to do this time?" she asked Minnie. Belle got out her parchment seeing Minnie was too.

Minerva looked up when she heard someone, "Oh hey Vickers.. Don't be giving my boy any crazy clown shoes or anything." She winked and chuckled then went back to her own work. She was getting organized when she heard someone else enter. Looking up she saw Belle. Smiling she waved, "Hey I would have gotten your mannequin but there are just so many I didn't want to grab the wrong one."

She smiled at Belle's question. "Well we are using the spell we learned in the last class to make shoes for each other to go with the outfits we have been making. Easy enough.. dont' you think?" Looking at Belle's mannequin she tried to picture shoes for her. "What style of shoe is your favorite?" She didn't want to put her in heels if she didn't like them, but at the same time wanted them to look good enough to go with her friends outfit so they could get a great picture for the wall.

Belle waved her and off as not a big deal. "Psh it is fine. I understand and besides Mannequins are a pain to find, but i found mine and now we can start on the lesson." She was excited to make new shoes for their outfits. "I can not wait to model them for the class. I love fashion shows."

As Minnie explained what they were doing, it made sense. They needed to use the spell "Pedestis." they learned in class. Her brain was slowly remembering what they did. Then Minnie asked what style shoe was her favorite. "Well i love casual type of shoes soo...you can make a converse style shoe or basketball type shoes. Whichever is the easiest for you to draw. How about you?"

Ethan lifted his eyes from the shapeless shoes he had just transfigured when he heard a familiar voice. "Hi, Min," he smiled upon sight of the girl, then chuckled at her words. "It's fated, I suppose," he added with a wink. Last assignment.. thank Merlin for that! "Yeah.. and it seems like an easier spell this time.." Or maybe he was actually starting to get better at Transfiguration? Either way, he was thankful.. this homework would hopefully get done in no time.

And then another voice made him turn.. "Hey, Vickers," he grinned at the 7th year as he approached, then chuckled as he heard Minnie's remark.. clown shoes? Ethan thought it more likely that the 7th year end up with those due to the 5th year's weak transfiguration skills, but hopefully he'd be able to create something decent for him anyway. Pointing his wand at his feet, the boy cast Reverto, then glanced up at his fellow Claw, watching him curiously as he examined the cameras.

As Vickers turned his way, the fifth year gave the other boy a friendly smile and glanced over at the row of mannequins.. then to the one the older boy pointed out. "Oh, right.. I remember," Ethan grinned a little at the Transfigured clothing. "Nice house pride there.." He especially liked his shirt.. and briefly wondered what type of shoes might look best with the outfit. "Oh.. mine's right here.. I already brought it up," he said, moving out of the way so Vickers could see his own work as the mannequin had been partially hidden behind him where he stood. He glanced back at his own outfit.. definitely not as nice as the other boy's.. but still trying for his own house pride.

Minerva smiled, well I did the pink top, the jean skirt. I don't mind any type of shoes, so whatever you think will go well with the outfit. Minerva laughed, "Yeah it will be fun to take the pictures for the wall." She smiled at Belle with excitement. Of course they would love this.. what girl wouldn't. Minerva looked at her mannequin yes it really didn't matter which shoes Belle did for her, anything would look cute with a jean skirt.

Looking at Belle's mannequin Minerva tried to think about what type of shoe would go well. She liked tennis shoes, hmmm. She looked down at her parchment and felt a little blank. What would be the best thing for her outfit. Pulling out her parchment she started to try and sketch shoes. She was not very good at this. Shoes were harder to sketch then the others. Once she got a simple sketch she looked up at Belle, "What about this? I need to get color on it yet, but will this work for you?"

Pao entered the practice room for perhaps the last time. Certainly the last time this year, he thought, but we'll see how mom and dad feel about keeping me this far away next year. Pao had started to become attached to this place, though. If he had anything to say about it, he'd be back at Hogwarts for his second year.

But he couldn't allow that to to bother him now. He needed to be focused solely on the shoes he was going to create. Pao had been thinking about what he may want to do here ahead of time. He quickly located his mannequin, Pao Jr., and rolled him to an open spot in the room. True, he didn't need it this time, but he wanted a little bit of company. "Time to do some work!"

He located the pile of paper plates. One.. two..., he thought as he separated them from each other. Back at Pao Jr., he took his time to once again visualize what he wanted. The boy sat on the floor with his feet on the plates. He imagined the pair of fluffy badger slippers that he hoped to create today.

First he thought about what a real badger looks like. The fierce teeth, the white stripe down the back, the small but powerful paws. Well, my slippers don't need paws. That would just look silly. And be awkward to walk on. So now the question was how to translate that badger essence into a slipper. At least slippers aren't very fitted. That gives me some wiggle room to focus on the design.

Finally, he imagined the badger face morphing into a slipper. Ew, no. He discarded his first version, which looked mean and scary. My feet don't need to threaten people. Not the goal. He tried again. MUCH better. He spent awhile etching every detail into his brain so he could spend as long on the spell as he needed to. "Okay, Pao Jr., I'm ready. Let's get going!"

Belle smiled when Minne showed her sketches. Belle thought they were so cute! "Oh my god your outfit is so adorable, i love it so much!" Belle was then brain storming some ideas for Minnie's shoes. Belle had to sketch something. Would flatts work with her outfit? They could...or would pink converse work? Hmm...Decisions...decisions...

Then Minnie showed her idea. Belle's eyes widened and said, "Oh my god i love it! I would totally wear those!" Belle was so happy she was bouncing up and down in her seat. For a friendly suggestion, Belle said, "You can make the color of the shoe purple. It is my favorite color. You can make a floral design if you want." Belle was giving out ideas. Belle loved anything floral. So it was a given.

Then Belle sketched hers out. "Hmm i have an idea minnie, how would you like this sketch? I mean this is more classy. Or would you like this sketch? I mean this is more casual. Your outfit can work both ways." Belle shrugged and wondered what Minnie thought.

Minerva smiled as she said she liked her outfit, "Thanks Belle, it really isnt' that big of a deal, but I'm glad you like it." She looked at her outfit and smiled, it was nice to know someone liked it. She looked at the sketches that Belle made, "Those are great, I wish I could sketch that well." She looked both the sketches over and thought, she liked them both, but she did like heels. "I think the heels would be awesome. I kind of like being taller." She laughed a bit, she was kind of short, so being taller was a great thing.

Looking over her own sketch she listened to Belle, "Purple and a flower.." Minerva began sketching making the shoe a light purple and then designing a lilac around it. Once she was finished she looked up at Belle, "What do you think?" She then needed to practice the spell before she tried it on her friends feet. Putting a plate in front of her she tried to think about the shoe in her sketch. She focused on the sketch and tried to think about the design. Looking back at the plate she did her wand movement "Pedestis." The shoe started to form, but was just a regular tennis shoe without the color or lilac. "Well that didn't work.." Looking back at the plate, "Reverto" Will have to try that again.

He was ready. Those badger slippers were gonna be fiercely fluffy, but yet still friendly. Pao wasn't sure how well he was going to pull that off, but he was sure going to try! Concentrating on that same image, his left hand groped deep inside his pocket for his wand. Finding it, he whipped it out and carefully stood on top of the plates. With a tap on each plate, he clearly said, "Pedestis."

Pao just stood there for several seconds, marveling at the transformation. Plate to slippers in 3.2 seconds! Once the change was complete, he assessed the outcome. Not liking what he saw, he quickly said, "Reverto," and was left with paper plates once more. "Not furry enough. Or soft enough." The fur was very short and coarse. "But the badger face looked pretty good, actually." He just needed to also focus on the feel of the slippers, not only the design of the badger face.

Belle giggled when Minnie mentioned being a little taller. Every girl has that issue. Even Belle could relate. "You know i can relate, i always like to be a little taller when i go to parties and even family events. I think girls are cautious about it." Belle shrugged and put the heel sketch in front of her. Now Belle had a few questions..."Now did you have a specific style in mind for your heels?" Belle asked. It was always better to be safe than to be sorry.

As Minnie showed her the drawing she made, Belle was happy. "It is perfect, i love it so much." Belle was a fan of lilacs and the color purple. It was a perfect combination. Belle encouraged Minnie, "Well we do not always get it on our first try, i know i won't. Trust me i will fail."

Riighty right, then. There Sophie was again to do her homework.

And once again she had no idea what she was going to make.

Not a problem! This time she would even have a little help from her friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiend, Ella! Yay!

Walking into the room where all of the dummies were, Sophie took a good look around. The paper plates were....... ah! Over there on the table with the camera! Cool! "I'll just move my dummy to a better spot!" She told Ella as she walked over to where a mannequin with her name tag was. She knew they wouldn't need the dummies this time, but it would be best if Ella took a good look at the outfit before thinking about some shoes to go with it, riight? Right.

"Here, look." She said as she pushed her dummy forward a bit. "I'm glad I don't have to come up with shoes for it, hehehe!" Sophie liked the spell work, but was still not that enthusiastic about being a fashion designer. So boring! But anyway, she would have to think about some shoes to go with Ella's outfit anyway... oh well.

The fourteen year-old went to the table to get some paper plates for the both of them. What was the spell again? Pedestis. Pedestis, pedestis, pedestis. The girl kept mouthing as she grabbed the plates and went back to where Ella was. And the wand movement was just... a tap. Right? A tap on each of the plates.

It'd be better to check the book to make sure........ or maybe not.

Ah so that was his work, which got this Ravenclaw to smile widely "House Pride of the WIN yeah?" He glanced up at his mannequin then back to Ethan's a few times "You know what, thats a good idea--bringing the dummies closer so we can have a better look when we create the shoes...". Efficiency was a good thing.

He took off to get his dummy and rolled it back towards where Ethan was. "Given our common theme, maybe it would be easier to come up with a concept for our shoes?" he said to the other Claw as he gazed at the outfit Ethan conjured up. "I'm taking that since what you got there are jeans, you would be ok with shoes that are more casual? Like sneakers? Or would you prefer something that would add a bit more style to it like boots?" Shoes can be the accessory that can give outfits an extra impact.
