The Gobstones Viewing Area Viewing Area That's right folks, come on in a Gobstones match between two of your favorite Hogwarts houses is taking place and you don't want to miss it or the prime seats up front! The room that plays host to the Gobstones matches has a few rows of raised seats along each of the long side walls, leaving plenty of room in the middle for the players to shoot for the Jack Stone. |
For anyone....let's play peeps! Autumn was definately settling in over the Scotland loches and Hogwarts was not left out. Dreary weather, filled with dark clouds and rain, pelted the Castle and the corridors began to feel damp and cold. Despite the overtones of dread settling in because of the weather the building that housed the Gobstones club was warmer and more inviting than ever! Calista had made sure of that. The night before she had made her way to the odd, classroom-like building by the Quidditch Pitch and cleaned the place up, for starters, and then hung some house-color banners around the walls before setting herself to work displaying the old plaques and medals that cemented their honorees in Hogwarts Gobstones history. The room was ready and now the day had come for the term's first match and her first match as Advisor--actually Leo was hosting this round but she still had a title. Having taken a seat in the front row she watched as the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students electing to play for their house took the playing floor. Not many students had arrived to watch, she herself was the only one in the chairs on either side of the match but she held out hope that others would join her. "Come on kids, you all can do this." The blonde cheered on both houses. Gobstone! GOBSTONES! GOBSTONES! |
Gobstones was indeed an interesting game to watch. Perhaps not as exciting as quidditch for some, but Medea enjoyed it. Plus she'd heard Callie was going to be hosting this game, so naturally, the defense professor found a comfortable seat in the stands to watch, and not make too many faces at the divination professor. Somewhere in the back. May just inch her way to the front sooner or later... Oh! It was starting! |
Having found some time to squeeze in a little bit of playing herself for the Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff match, Kurumi figured that she should come and watch the next one just to check out who was playing. Selina would be proud. Scouting the competition as it were. Arriving in the stands, Kurumi saw that Professor Romanos was here as well. "Good day, professor," Kurumi said as she took a seat near the woman. Glancing at the score board, it looked as though Snakes were mildly dominating for now...but current action seemed to show that Ravenclaw was making a comeback. And well, with Ellie all graduated now, Kurumi didn't have anything against that house...so maybe she would cheer for them. "You rooting for either side?" |
Medea eventually was so focused on the game, she didn't notice the Gryffindor prefect arriving in the stands until the seventh year had spoken up. Her gaze snapped to Kurumi, taking a moment to register that there was a human being speaking. Right. "Hello, Miss Hollingberry." she greeted kindly yet quietly, a smile making it's way onto her face. "Both actually. Yourself?" |
Kurumi leaned forward, elbows on her knees and her chin resting in her hands as she watched the Slytherin and Ravenclaw teams go at it. It was both nice and alarming to see a variety of players stepping up and throwing. Mostly bad for those scouting though since it meant that there wasn't just one person to keep an eye on...although Max was fighting back hard for Ravenclaw... Kurumi already knew he was a brilliant competitor because of Quidditch. So no real surprises there. West was pulling out strong for the snakes...again no surprise... "Oh, um...I'm actually just here to scout, professor," Kurumi admitted through flushed cheeks. |
Minerva got to the gobstone stands early. She hadn't went to watch a match all term, which was very unlike her. She played once and wasn't great so she wanted to make sure she was there to get some pointers if that was possible, she had only been playing for four terms now, you would think she would have gotten better by now. Shrugging the thought off she decided to pull out a book and read a little while waiting for the match to start and/or people to come to talk to. She knew she said something to Laura about her and Mick coming and also to Ethan, but she wasn't sure if they would actually be able to make it or not. |
