Terry was just enjoying stuffing his face with surely one of the best Chocolate Frogs he had ever eaten when an older girl approached him. He nodded to her question, gulping down what was in his mouth and clearing his throat. "Yeah, she's down there" he pointed down the corridor in the distance where the trolley woman was slowly making her way up towards the back of the train. "It makes you hungry travelling, doesn't it?" he chuckled. Or was that just him?

But then she was staring at his rat and his eyes widened. "Yes!" he took the creature out his pocket and shoved it under her nose. "Her name is Brie, she's a very clean rat" much unlike what people thought of the rodents. The shiny brown and white fur and long pink tail reflected Terry's statement perfectly, she certainly was nothing like the black rats you learned about in history spreading disease. "Isn't she pretty?" he asked grinning.

See? Younger students knew stuff. And they could be really helpful. Ariadne looked in the direction where the boy was pointing, and, sure enough, there the lady was. 'Cheers, I appreciate it.' she replied, in her slight Yorkshire accent. 'Not hungry, just...craving for chocolate.' And not just due to travelling. She wanted chocolate. All the time.

Ari wasn't prepared for what happened next-having a rat thrown in her face, that is. She felt like she was going to faint. 'Please take her away.' Where was that cat of hers when she needed him?! Whatever she had thought about younger students before was far from the truth. They weren't helpful at all.

The food was just amazing, Terry couldn't imagine how muggles could live without all the fantastic sweets that he got to eat, well was encouraged not to eat but this was his change and his mother couldn't exactly stop him could he? "That's okay" he grinned, he didn't mind helping others after all. "Oh. Me too! Would you like one of mine?" he asked holding out a chocolate frog towards her, he bought a little too many for his stomach to hold.

"I'm Terry" he introduced himself with a friendly smile. "Or Turtle if you ask my sister" because like many other siblings, they had nicknames for each other.

His expression changed from a smile to a hurt frown as she told him to take the rat away from her. "She won't hurt you, she's really friendly" the twelve year old pouted, tickled Brie's head and placed her back out of sight into his pocket. Why were girls always scared of rats? They were friendly and his was so shiny and pretty that he thought people wouldn't mind it. Besides, a rat was something that was on the school list so he expected more people to have one. Instead, most seemed to possess a cat.

Gwen was really glad to see Cassia again. And, besides just being glad to get to spend some time with her friend, the Ravenclaw was relieved to have something to do before she could order herself something. She still hadn’t made up her mind regarding what she wanted to eat but mehh… she had plenty of time to figure that out. Still with a small smirk on her face, Gwendolyn looked back at her friend.

She nodded. She understood what Cassia was saying. She had a lot of fun during the summer holiday, but she was eagerly waiting to get back. Ah. Hogwarts! Though… it wasn’t going to be exactly the same…Gwen thought about that for a moment before looking back at the young Slytherin. ‘Despite of the OWLs, I really look forward to this year. Well, things are probably going to be different…’, she mused. ‘You know, without the people who graduated last term, new firsties’ Who hopefully weren’t that intolerable. Seriously, last term was really great. Last year’s first years were actually quite promising, but Gwen was rather sure it was going to be different this term. Great, she thought and tried hard not to roll her eyes.

So Cassia was eager to meet the new Headmistress. ‘Me too, but I will surely miss Tate’, she said. Seriously- no more ‘don’t die’ speech this term? Madness. This was one of the reasons why she would have liked to have things just the way they were last term. But… Change was good, right? It had to be… ‘Anyway…’, her voice trailed off. ‘I’m curious to see what has changed around Hogwarts’ Of course, besides new Professors. Gwendolyn was wondering what was new around the grounds, since there was always something changing.

Surprisingly, this wasn't the first place Theo had gone to upon boarding the train. His stomach was kinda cramping cos his mum cooked him a large breakfast that he wolfed down. So, yeah... he was feeling a bit sick. No matter, though - the chocolate frogs were calling his name.

He had practically gone cold turkey this summer, what with not many visits to Diagon Alley.

His eyes lit up at the trolley, as he ignored his stomach cramps. It will be fine. Yes. Theodore picked up a chocolate frog and plopped the money down on the side. Nom, his favourite.

Listening to what Gwen was saying ,Cassia was deciding what to get for herself from the trolley. But that was not hard to be decided. Chocolate frogs,water and she'll see if anything else will catch her attention. But she was still taking in what the older girl was saying. Surely for Gwen she had to think of OWLs while Cassia was thinking of normal upcoming lessons. Well, they won't probably be that normal they must be a bit developed now that she was older.Well, not her concern it was..that belonged to the staff.

Nodding when Gwen mentioned the changes. Cassia really didn't know any students who graduated last year so she didn't know how does it feel to have a friend leaving and not in school anymore. But she'll eventually know the feeling someday. And trying to imagine she thought that it really hurt a bit. Like Gwen graduating, Cassia would long for her friend. Maybe that's what was Gwen feeling now. Oh and the firsties, "I can't wait till I get to meet more firsties," She said a lopsided smile on her face. "I have met a couple of them when shopping," She told Gwen. But meeting the new faces during lessons must be different and that what she was looking forward to.

And the start of term feast was one of things Cassia was eager to. She now could watch the sorting from the crowd. She want be perched on that chair waiting for a hat to be placed on her head. "Yeah, there have been some rumors about changes in the staff," Cassia said. They already knew about a couple of professors leaving but they never knew who would take their places. "Let's hope that the new professors are nice like the former ones." She said. And she cared about the nice part more than the academic . Probably for Gwen being a Ravenclaw she cared about the academic part more.

She couldn't help but agree with the girl. They really must have forgotten what being a firstie was like seeing as she was sure that at least one of them had a wild side when they were entering Hogwarts...maybe all of them. It probably wasn't such a common thing anyway and besides she had heard tonnes of stories about the castle from her neighbour and he always described the students as being insane!

Her eyes fell to the floor when they were told that they were lucky it wasn't a professor who had caught them on the train. That was pretty much true. She didn't even want to imagine what it would have been like if a professor had seen them up there. Cringe.

Lex's eyes shot up to the girl again when she said that a particular professor would have put them in detention until they were seventh years. That didn't sound very promising!!! "Seriously?! Is she like one of those strict and scary professors?" She must have been if she was capable of locking students in detention for so long!

And then she heard it. The girl was buying them chocolate frogs. These people sure knew how to spoil her! She smiled widely as she accepted the frog. Such yummy goodness, she could hardly contain her enthusiasm!


Yeah....the train ride had barely gotten anywhere and she was already back at the trolley. She didn't know why but it just seemed like every time she tried to stay away it just kept calling her back.

She was trying her hardest to not buy any more candy seeing as she now had a whole bag full but well...there was no reason why she couldn't come to gawk at the candy buy something else...a snack maybe.

Walking up to the food trolley she saw a boy already standing there. He looked young and that was good enough for her. She had had enough of the older students and couldn't wait until she didn't have to go near them. Ugh, the ones that weren't being bossy were being rude and if they weren't being rude they were grossing her out with their kissing. It was amazing that she managed to keep anything down around these people!

"Hello." She said, popping up behind him.

Arabella-Marie made her way down to the food trolley while she could and found a lot of first years about the trolley she stood in line waiting patiently for her turn

Strict and scary? Em didn’t want to scare the kids any more than she already had, so she decided not to tell them any of the rumors or things the teachers had done. “Merlin. Most to them are strict and scary, especially about something like this, and I’m sure even the nicest one would have had you in detention for a couple of months. Climbing on the train was very dangerous. What if one of you had fallen?” They could have hurt themselves as well as others. She gave them all a smile. “And just remember, the number one rule at Hogwarts is ‘Don’t Die’.” There, now the headmaster could be proud.

As Em was lecturing the kiddies, she thought she heard a familiar voice. She was unsure if the owner was really who she thought it was because it had been so long since she had seen the boy. Turning and seeing that it was in fact her best friend, she grinned. “Michael! Hey.” She said giving him a hug. Which was difficult seeing as he was carrying bird brain, and a book. “What have you got there?” she asked nodding towards the book as she reached in her bag. Pulling out one of Halt’s treats, she gave it to Bubba.

Laura decided that she was a bit hungry, when she was nervous she got hungry for some reason and she had no idea why, she suddenly spotted Arabella and forgetting they were in a train, she ran straight upto her and jumped at her, giving her a big hug. "I've missed you." Laura sighed, Arabella was like a big sister to her.

Arabella-Marie smiled at Laura and said "Aww that is so kind of you Laura"

"So what have you been doing lately?" Laura sighed. "I haven't seen you since we were lost in that dark place." Laura couldn't remember what it was called though she did know that she wasn't going there ever again.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Just been picking up my supplies, practicing a bit of qudditch at home, what about yourself Laura?"

Laura looked at Arabella and smiled. "I got my supplies, it was the first time I got them by myself, my sister and I normally get them together, but for some reason she was avoiding me this summer and I have no idea why." Laura sighed, she wished her sister would tell her what was wrong, because if she knew she would be able to help but as it was she couldn't do a thing about it.

Arabella-Marie smiled and said "Yeah that is cool Laura and hmm that is strange that your sister has been avoiding you all summer"

Ariella gladly accepted the chocolate frog. Yummy! She sunk her teeth into it and took a large bite, oh how she loved chocolate! She listen carefully as Alexa asked about the proffessors.

"But we didn't fall," Ari pointed out as the girl talked about what the proffessors wouldn have done, then giggled as she told them the number one rule...

'Don't Die'

Ari couldn't handle that, she certainly didn't plan on dying her first year at Hogwarts, and she hadn't died yet so thats a good thing. She took another bite of her chocolate frog and licked her lips, savoring every bit of its surgary goodness, "So what's the new headmistress like? She was the herbology teacher right?"

Ari had read it in the daily prophet, but it was always a good thing to double check, and she wanted to know how much trouble they might get into if she heard about the incedent...

Ari eyed the boy suspiciously. No one offered free chocolate. No one! 'That's ok, I'll go buy something myself.' It was nice that he offered though. 'Pleased to meet you, Terry.' Ariadne replied. 'You can call me Ari. It's short for Ariadne.' And easier to remember, as most people pointed out.

His sister called him WHAT? 'Why?' the girl had to ask. Luckily, she didn't voice the first thing that came to her mind, which was 'You don't look like a turtle to me.'

The fifth year could tell that her comments about his pet had hurt Terry. She hated rats, but she was not mean, and offending younger children was most definitely not her daily routine. Come to think of it, her cat Pluto wasn't a beauty, but she was still upset when people called him hideous. And she was fifteen, and a Gryffindor, for Merlin's sake!

'Sorry, I might have overreacted.' Might have, mind you. 'She's actually not that bad. Quite p...' Come on, you can say it. 'Pre...'. Lil' bit more. 'Pretty.' There. She said it.

Theodore was already halfway through his chocolate frog, successfully decapitating the head and now moving onto the feet and hands. His usual technique... But it was turning his stomach with every bite. "Ugggggghhhhh..." Could he eat the rest? He felt ashamed to even think about wasting it... but he really was going to puke.

No.
.... It couldn't be done.

Theo wrapped up the rest of the frog in the wrappers and very subtly put it back on the food trolley. No one would notice. Nope. GREAT MERLIN - people just should not sneak up on him, it was RUDE. Kinda.

"HI." He almost bellowed back to the girl. Honestly, one false movement, and the poor boy would be chucking up everywhere. This girl picked the wrong company today.

She didn't waste anytime in unwrapping the frog. For just a moment she looked at the card before pocketing it. She didn't really fancy them but Will collected them so she might as well had.

She took a bite out of the head as she listened to the girl saying that most of the Professors were all strict like. Well that didn't sound very promising at all! How was she supposed to get away with mischief when most of the Professors were eager to punish? Jeez, she had only planned to be good long enough to last the train ride thanks to a bit of persuasion on the sugary side but no one said anything about once she got there.

She nodded when Ari said that they didn't fall. It was true, none of them had fallen so what was the problem.

Don't die? "That's a rather interesting rule! I can think I can handle that--I didn't die outside when I climbed the train so I should be just fine." She was good at not dying and well she didn't plan to die then miss out on the rest of her hogwarts life so that rule was easily followed.

"Oh yeah! Do you know what she's like." She would need to know before she planned her mischief.




He didn't look so good...in fact he looked like he might have been changing colour or something. She took a step back, knowing that look all too well. The last time she saw it she got shower in chunks of stomach refuse from Jeremy and well this just happened to be her favourite shirt so he had better had not planned to try anything.

If he did she would conveniently forget about the promised chocolate frogs and head straight for his neck!

She followed is action as he put the chocolate frog on the trolley. Le Gasp! How could anyone refuse the chocolatey goodness that was chocolate frogs?! This didn't make any sense! He must really have been ill!

Her eyes popped slightly when he practically yelled his greeting at her. After a second's pause she raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you feeling alright....? Oh, and I'm Alexa." She figured she would throw that in too.

Terry tilted his head as the girl eyed him, had he done something wrong because he hadn't meant to! And he thought that offering chocolate was a good thing not a bad! "Oh okay" he placed his chocolate frog back in his pocket and thought nothing more of it, maybe he could eat it later when they had been travelling for a while. How long was this journey going to last anyway?

"Ari" he grinned. "It's good to meet you" he replied politely. Something he had learned wandering around Diagon Alley was that everyone favoured the polite greeting and so not to appear rude, Terry would join in with the polite introductions. But he wouldn't shake hands, that was just silly! Old people shook each others hands.

The twelve-year-old didn't mind his nickname, it was better than being called other things and so he was rather fond of it. "Because she's TillyTiger and I'm TerryTurtle, we've always called each other that" he chuckled. And why not? Couples had wretchworthy lovey dovey names and he and his sister called one another animals.

The rat squeaked from within the boys pocket and he tickled her behind the ears affectionately. It curled up into a tight ball and Terry made a mental note that when she woke up, he'd give her a bit of cheese. After all, her comment might've offended Brie, she did seem to have feelings herself.

"She is!" he nodded, especially when she was sleeping and she looked completely peaceful like nothing could awake her slumber. "And it's okay. Lots of girls don't like rats but I think they're really silly." Nothing was wrong with house rats, they were gentle, friendly and most importantly clean. "Do you have a cat then?" he asked because after her reaction to Brie, he was certain she wouldn't own a toad.

Why was she stepping back? Clutching his stomach still, Theo frowned hard at the girl. "I don't SMELL, do I?" He asked, lifting up his armpit to take a sniff. Clean as a whistle, thank you very much.

Darn it, she looked freaked out by his yelling. And dang, she had every right to be. Theo was very rude sometimes. He couldn't help it. It usually happened with anyone who wasn't in Slytherin. "Sorry, for shouting, I don't like it when people make me jump but like, everybody does and it's soooooo annoying." He blabbered, pleased to have actually gotten all of those words out in one piece.

Being nice was hard.

"I... I'm fine... my tummy just feels a bit funny." He closed his eyes tightly, trying to block out the smell of food coming from the trolley. It was only making it worse. "I'm Theodore." Maybe he just needed a glass of water.

This boy was weird...wait...that sentence was complete rubbish and quite repetitive. All boys were weird so to say that he was weird was saying that he was a boy and vice versa. Meh, whatever the case was he was an extra strange one, he was sniffing his armpits."Uhhh...." She was about to question it but then it occurred to her that he was probably feeling a bit self-concious now that she had stepped back. Well better fix that.

"Oh no you don't stink or anything like that but you look God awful; you're turning green you know, and you look like you could throw up any second--" She paused then gave him a slightly warning look, nothing all that intimidating but very forceful. "But I swear to Merlin that if you throw up on me you'll find yourself with your face a bit too close to the tracks for your own comfort." There, now that that was straightened out she put on a s nice, sweet smile and listened to him speak.

So he didn't like being scared. It made sense....no one liked being made to jump. "Yeah I guess I understand that. It annoys me too." She said with a shrug.

Oh so he wasn't feeling well in his tummy--NO PROBLEM!!! "You poor thing! Here have one of these, they always make me feel better!" She said, dipping into her bag and pulling out a chocolate frog. "Here try it." She said waving the chocolatey goodness in his face. She could be quite oblivious at the wrong time.

Theodore raised his eyebrows at the girl as she got all freaked out by him. It was all over her FACE. Well, she'd better get used to it, cos Theodore was a weirdo. He rummaged through his bag rather suddenly, and pulled out some hand sanitiser, squirting tons over his hands. He wasn't a major clean freak, but he guessed it would help kill the germs... good idea? Eh, maybe.

"I do?" Theo scratched his head, then felt his cheeks as she mentioned that he was going green. "Like the Hulk?" He giggled at that. Being the hulk would be cool, even if he was terribly ill at the same time. "I'm not gonna... throw up on the train, ew. That's gross." Theo didn't have a problem with puking, cos he figured it's better out than in and ruining his body. But on a public train? That could be gross. The boy frowned at her subtle threat, "Say mean stuffs like that and maybe I WILL puke all over you."

Well, if it annoyed her, then why would she do it to someone else? -_- Sigh, girls. "Okay, then. I forgive you." Not that she actually said sorry or anything.

"What are you d-?" Theo's eyes widened to peek at what she was fetching from her bag. What? A chocolate frog? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo.... For a start, Theo could rarely resist a chocolate frog, they were his absolute favourites. But right NOW, the sight of one made his stomach turn. "I can't." He pressed his hand to his mouth, trying to hold everything back. Okay, moment had passed, time for some shouting.

"I CAN'T EAT CHOCOLATE, MY TUMMY HURTS. ARE YOU INSANE?"
... Ahem.

"You know, I think my mum poisoned my breakfast." He was properly POORLY, so his eyes began stinging with tiny tears. Tiny, unnoticeable tears, hopefully...

She looked on curiously as he dipped into his bag. Hopefully he had some kind of medication to make himself feel better because she didn't like how his face kept losing colour; it unnerved her more than he would ever know. She tilted her head slightly to the side and just stared.

Stare...

STARE.

Why did that stuff look so much like hand sanitizer? "And just what will that do?" She couldn't help but ask. This just gave her more proof of the weirdness of boys. He was sick and all he did was pull out some hand sanitizer???

She giggled when he asked if he was turning green like the hulk. Silly boy. "Nah, you're turning a more sickly green, kinda like in those cartoons with the old, sick, dying guys, groaning in agony and praying for relief." There were some interesting cartoons in her movie library. Then she got a little more relaxed when he assured her that he wouldn't throw up on the train. That was a relief; her shirt was safe. Wait whaaaa??? "Well I wouldn't have to say such things if you didn't look like you were about to throw up everything but last weeks dinner! This is my favourite shirt you know." She said in her own defence. There was just no justice in the life of a shirt unless the owner took matters into her own hands.

He forgave her? For what? She wasn't sorry for anything....sigh...boys were so odd, going around forgiving people for no apparent reason.

She drew back her chocolate frog immediately and her eyes went wide as he began yelling. Yikes...okay so maybe a chocolate frog wouldn't help. "Well there's no need to shout..." Jeez, a simple no would have worked. Then he started talking about his mother poisoning him--MERLIN was he going to cry?! "No no...don't get upset, I don't think your mother would have tried something like that...mommies love their children...maybe you just ate too much?" Boys always seemed to do that then cry afterwards -___-

What was she STARING at?

"It will get rid of germs that live on my hands, duh." He said, rubbing his hands together. Honestly, he just loved the feel of hand sanitiser. Yum. "Germs are always on your hands, you know. Cos, like.... you're most likely to touch gross stuff with your HANDS." That made sense, right? So, his sanitiser was plausible, thank you very much.

Uhh, eww. "You're not really making me feel any better." He was just going for a light Hulk joke and now she had stomped all over it. THANKS. "I can't look that bad. Do you have a mirror? What I need........ is some soup." Soup always made him feel better, nommmm. Theodore looked down at her shirt, with his judging little eyes. It was an okay shirt, nothing worth getting all protective over, though. Theo faked a gagging noise, and held his hand over his mouth again. MWAHAHAHA, maybe he WAS beginning to feel better now.

Still no sorry? Oh, okay. Rude, but fine....

"Of course there is, you're trying to force chocolate frogs down my throat even though they would obviously make me be sick, ugh." He said, taking a huge gasp after he finished. It was hard to speak like that sometimes, but he always seemed to pull it off. "I'm not upset." He said sharply, adding a quick sniff on the end. "I think maybe the sausages were off. They tasted funny but I ate them anyway." And DUHHH, that's why he felt ill.
