A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.
Tay smiled and nodded, "Yeah... you need to, she has to know..."
"Thanks for understanding...I just hope she takes me back...i hope she hasn't found someone else out there...not that i don't want her to be happy, i do..but just, well with me."

"I understand that as well, Maxwell." She went over and sat down, laying her head on his shoulder. "I just hope all goes well for you."
Tay threw back her head and giggled as he spun her around. Taylor looked at him and stroked his cheek, "Damon..."
"Yes, mon amour?" He smiled down at her. When he heard Maxwell, Damon looked back at him, "I think I have something that might help... I mean, it won't take you to her now but..." He pulled his forgotten mirror out of his bag, pulling away from Taylor and went over to him, "I mean... I'd like it back, seeing how I was so busy, I had completely forgotten about it, but I think you're the one who she'll want to see," He handed the mirror to Maxwell, "Just... If she does answer in reply to you, let her know I miss my best friend, and I'll call her the minute I get a chance to." He gave a kind smile before going back over to Taylor.

Tay smiled in delight at what Damon did. "That was sweet of you, Damon." She held out her hand for him to take.
After practising the Vanishing Spell on pears and then snails for a while in the fruit orchard, Ariadne felt tired and wanted to return to the Gryffindor Tower, to chat with her housemates. But she needn't go that far. One of them was right there, in the courtyard!
Smiling, the fifteen-year-old approached her younger housemate and spoke softly so as not to startle her, seeing as she was so immersed in her book. 'Looks like an interesting read if it got you so absorbed.' the girl commented. 'Sarah, was it?' Ari wasn't all that good with names, so it was always worth checking.
'I rarely find the time these days to read something for pleasure. There's always so much to do for school, especially with the OWLs coming up. But I used to read a lot of History books in my earlier years.' Ariadne remembered fondly.
Then she realized most people wanted to be left alone when they were reading. 'Oh, sorry! Just tell me if you want me to go, you don't have to listen to my blabber.' But of course she would rather go on than go away.
Sarah looked up, a bit startled yet when noticing who it was, she flashed it a big smile. It was Ari the girl with beautiful hair. "Hey Ari! Yeah it is. It is a historical fiction novel, so it helps me during History of Magic lessons."
Sarah looked down at her book, memorising her page (79) she closed her book. It was rude to read when talking and Sarah was working on her manners, her brother had given her a dressing down over the summer that she was rude.
"I hope I never get too bogged down to read. I cannot go to sleep at night without knowing that I have read something. I just love to read. Probably during exam time and especially OWL and NEWT time I will have to satuate my reading desires with reading things that are more conducive to my studying. Maybe do background reading..."
Sarah made space on the bench next to her, "no, I want to talk to you, I barely see you around. Come sit, my reading can wait. So tell me, how had the year been so far? Workload changed dramatically as it is OWL year? " Sarah said with a warm smile
Tay held his hand and laid her head on his shoulder, "I know..."
Damon smiled at Taylor, squeezing her hand lightly, "I'm sure he'd do the same for me had it been you who was gone... If you two still have your mirrors, that is."

History of Magic had always been one of Ari's favourite subjects, though she found Professor Scabior a bit scary. 'Sounds fascinating. I think I'll look for a copy in the library to read it myself.'
Really? She couldn't go to bed without reading? Wow. 'Considering how much reading we have to do for school, I suppose none of us goes to bed without reading at least a bit on any given day.' As the daughter of a bookshop owner, Ari loved reading as much as the next person, but her reading style was rather different. 'In my case, there are times when I read hundreds of pages a day for weeks, but also times when I don't read at all.' It depended on her moods. 'I wish I were as consistent as you, though.'
Sarah was being really nice, Ari was happy to take a seat next to her, though she still felt a bit guilty for interrupting her new friend. 'Not yet, but we've barely started, so I expect the workload to increase week by week.' It would be much easier if she wouldn't have so many things going on in her personal life to add up to the pressure of exams. Trying not to dwell too much on that, Ariadne changed the subject back to her housemate.
'It's good that you are such an avid reader, but there will be plenty of time to study. You should cause some mischief too, that's what Gryffindors are good at.' Ariadne winked. 'In my second year, my best friend and I used a wooden board to slide off the moving staircase, it was loads of fun. Now I wish I'd done more things like that.' Because time flies so quickly...She was a fifth year already!

Elise was kinda tired as she trudged her way to the courtyard. She'd wanted to go to the lake, but she was a wee bit too tired for that. So, settling for the next best thing, she found herself facing the fountain.
Hmm. She didn't remember that being there. Maybe it was new. Loads of things were, like the hot springs and stuff. Fountains equaled wishes, right? Digging around in her pocket, she pushed aside a pencil, eraser and a few slips of paper before finding a knut.
Clutching it close to her heart, she inhaled deeply, made a wish and tossed it in.

Bliss alternated between skipping and walking as she made her way down to the Courtyards. It was so hot, and Bliss was tiring easily when she skipped. But it was just So. Darn. Fun. Skiiiiiiiip. When Bliss reached the Courtyards, she was huffing and puffing, just she didn't mind.
She looked around the Courtyard for people, but it seemed empty. Or so she'd thought. SPLASH. What was that? It sounded like someone had dropped something in water. But there wasn't any water near here. Was there? Bliss decided to investigate. She skipped round the courtyard, until she found the source of the splash. It was Elise!
"ELISEEE!" Bliss cried, grinning. This was the girl that she made friends with at Hogsmeade platform, after they'd both received injuries on the train. Bliss, a broken wrist and Elise, a broken arm.
Damon smiled at Taylor, squeezing her hand lightly, "I'm sure he'd do the same for me had it been you who was gone... If you two still have your mirrors, that is."
Taylor tilted her head, "Yeah... I think I have it... I dont know if he does, but you and I have the scroll, remember?" She looked at him.

Elise was still half-wishing when she heard a voice squeal her name. Head snapping up, she rubbed her neck a little. Maybe that was a little too fast. But she turned around anyway, and guess who she found.
It was Bliss! The little second year who'd broken her wrist on the train. Grinning brightly, Elise waved. "Hey, Bliss!" she said. "You wrist better?" she asked, sitting down against the edge of the fountain and patting the spot next to her, indicating that Bliss do the same.
Her arm sure felt a lot better now, thanks to Healer Tillstorm, no matter how evil she might seem. Beezus was right, she did know what she was doing.

"you really must look for it!" Sarah said eagerly. Sarah thought about what Ari had said, true she always read. "I try to be... my father said he was like this when he was my age, yet as the years went by he found it hard to read, running out of time."
Sarah was rather astonished that someone else shared her point of view. Sometimes she just felt like a robot... being a goody goody. She hated being that way, as home she used to scheme all day. Yet she hated loosing points. "I want to have fun and do mischeivous things... I so badly do, yet, I don't want to loose points. Also I have no one to do it with..." to her surprise Sarah felt her eyes watering. She never used to be like this, yet recently she began to get all emotional. She felt sorry for herself that was the truth. She hated being the person she was not, she was a free-sprited girl who was forcing herself to act like a dull docile girl. The reason why she read to much was that reading was her refuge. Before Hogwarts it was her past-time. Reading was done when one had nothing else to do, no friends to talk to or play with. Hopefully Ari was still not feeling bad about disturbing Sarah, as Sarah welcomed her, she was only reading to fill time. Sarah wanted to have fun. Real unhibited fun. Like the time last year when she climbed trees during a lesson. She was itching to just let her hair lose. To jump in the puddles -enjoy her childhood, which was quickly galloping away. She wanted to stay young forever
As soon as Gwen agreed to pretend to be sympathetic, Presley launched into the whole thing, hoping that the little bugger hanging out with Gwen either didn't care, or wasn't listening. "You know that last year my father forced me to go to Beauxbatons Academy? Well I got into a huge fight about it, and ran away. I went to my brothers house, and he told me to grow up, but my father won't let me back until I apologize, which I'm not going to do. He cut off all of my funds, including dance lessons (which you know I can't live without). And Leo is getting married, so I won't even be able to beg him, because he has a fiance! So I had to spend the whole summer with my muggle aunt and her three bratty kids, and now Elliot is mad at me, and I'm going to despise the astronomy professor this term, and I still can't manage non-verbal spells!"
She gave Gwen the shortest version of her troubles, because she knew the other girl didn't want to listen to her complain, and was only doing it as a favor to Presley. "Okay, be sympathetic for me?" She asked. There. Short sweet, to the point, now go for it. At least it might give her a smile to watch Gwen try to be sympathetic.
Be sympathetic.
How hard could it be?
For some reason, Gwendolyn accepted to listen to the other Ravenclaw talk, and even TRY to be sympathetic. The fifth year tried to focus to what the girl was saying. Forced her to go to Beauxbatons? No. She had no idea. But Gwen thought she remembered having heard Presley complain about her father sometime…sometime during their second year? Her thoughts were soon interrupted by what Presley said next. Ran away? She really ran away? Gwen just eyed the Ravenclaw for a moment.
*Blink*
Who was Leo? Probably her brother, yes?
Elliot? Elliot, the fourth year Ravenclaw? Mad?
What about the astronomy Professor? It was probably because of the points loss…
Somehow, Presley seemed to think that not being able to cast non-verbal spells was a calamity. Gwen felt a bit dizzy, after having heard the girl talk. ‘First of all, why did your father want you to go to Beauxbatons?’
Ughh. Trying to be sympathetic- FAILED.
But that was it. Gwen was trying to be sympathetic, it really wasn’t her fault that she was reacting like that… it was all genetic. ‘You still do have your friends, and Elliot will surely come to her senses, although I don’t really understand why she is mad in the first place’ How could she be sympathetic if she didn’t know the problem, since Presley was giving only half pieces of information.
‘As for the spells, do remember that you are only a fifth year’ Gwen could cast a few non-verbal spells, but it seemed hard. Even though she had practiced with the easiest spells so far. ‘You just need to practice. Presley, I’m sure you will soon manage to cast the spells non-verbally’ And it wouldn’t be the end of the world if she wouldn’t succeed, but Gwen was confident that her housemate will do well. ‘You are a Ravenclaw for a reason’, she finished saying.
Well, that wasn't exactly what one would call sympathetic…
She tried. She really did, but she couldn’t help not being realistic about everything, and not just assure Presley that ‘everything will be fine in the end’. Because things needed to be better now, not in the end. That wouldn’t have encouraged Presley. Or at least Gwen thought so.
In the next moment, the fifth year found herself staring at the ground. She hadn’t been helpful, had she? ‘I’m sorry’, she finally told Presley, hoping that she just didn’t make things worse.
Elektra walked through the courtyard taking in the sights of it. It was always something beautiful to look at in her opinion. The sixth year sat down on one of the benches as she sat towards the front of the bench and placed her hands on the bench leaning forward a bit ad whistled a soft little tune she made up out of nowhere and quickly got bored. Shethen stood up and walked towards the Wishing Fountain just staring at it and then sighs as she looks like she was making a wish for something. When you think about it it is kind of funny to see Elektra Draven out of all people, making a silly little wish.
Well, this was a nice little place. Jake had a small smile on his lips as he walked through the courtyard. It wasn't too exciting, but it was just... nice. It even had a fountain. And... was that girl making a wish? Was it a wishing fountain?
Heading over, Jake looked up at the fountain. Then glanced at the girl standing near him. "Did it work?" The wish.
Tay sighed and crossed her arms, "Really?" She sighed, "Have you told Sage yet?"
"I haven't been able to see him, he hasn't been by the house at all..." Damon looked at her, "Though we did have a surprise visitor after the first week of school,"

Presley refrained from rolling her eyes, remembering that she had come to Gwen and asked for help. "My father thinks that all of the activity going on at Hogwarts distracts me from my studies." It was stupid of him. Because a bored Presley could not learn. And she certainly could be bored easily in Beauxbatons.
Gwen seemed like she was half asking for information, and most of it Presley was willing to give her, but she wasn't going to broadcast her argument with Elliot to the whole school. Things like that changed as they were told, and soon the story would be that Elliot tried to make Presley come to her manor where they house a giant troll who ate everyone who wasn't a Morganzo. No, that story was going to stay between her, Elliot, and the very few who had witnessed the altercation.
Though not exactly Presley's idea of 'sympathetic' she was grateful to Gwen for her attempt. "Thanks, Gwen." she sighed. Practice more. It seemed like all Presley had been doing was to practice. But maybe she just needed to forget this whole thing with her father and with Elliot, and throw the worry time into more and more practice. She would get them down in no time. "I really appreciate it. I'll leave you to your potions now," she smiled. Gwen was probably annoyed at Pres forinterrupting her in the first place.
"I haven't been able to see him, he hasn't been by the house at all..." Damon looked at her, "Though we did have a surprise visitor after the first week of school,"
Tay nodded, "Okay..." She raised her eyebrows, "You did? Who? Good or bad?" Taylor looked worried.
