Ugg...Gideon couldn't tell when he had studied so much but he was bound and determined to do well on his NEWTS. Well the ones he was actually taking anyway. Needing an escape from the library and since the common room was out of the running, the seventh year made his way down to the grounds. At least then he could enjoy the warmer weather while he looked over his notes. He settled on the courtyard, figuring to perch on one of the benches, his books spread out before him as he sat cross-legged on the stone.

Satisfied at the moment with potions, he switched off to transfiguration. Granted he had managed one of the if not the hardest transfiguration feat a wizard could do but he hadn't done his greatest on the OWL. So he sat with his text book on his lap, reading over certain topics.

Anya skipped out into the courtyard. This mission would be so much easier if the common rooms had been open... but, of course, fate decided to be a meanie.

And now... now she had to be sneaky.

On second thought, this was loads better. She loved having to be sneaky.

Now. She just had to find... ...well that was convenient.

She skipped up to the Prefect. "Hiya." she greeted brightly.

Gideon had been into his reading and hadn't realized at first the greeting he heard was meant for him. That was until he realized the voice was familiar and looked up to find Anya there beside him. "Hey," he greeted in return, offering a friendly smile to his younger teammate and almost sister seeing as she was the same year as Kacie.

"What's up?"

Anya looked down at the ground. "Well... since you're graduating soon..." she said drawing out the words.

"So... I wanted to know... if it was okay if I got a picture. You know. So I've got something to keep me on track... should I decide to be on track one day." she said in a soft voice.

And without waiting for an answer, she quickly got her camera out of her bag.

He frowned slightly as she looked to the ground but as Anya spoke, his confusion abated. She was saddened by his eminent departure? The prefect stayed quiet as she continued, eventually bringing forth the request that was the reason she was hear with him at this moment.

"Aye...sure," Gideon answered, watching as she pulled out her camera even before she answered. "I would certainly hope ye didn't get into too much trouble after I'm gone." Hope...pray...any number of other assorted things. He and Kurumi after all would both be gone and missing from their role-model-ship.

Anya flashed a little half smile. "Okay. Thanks." she said holding her camera in position in one hand.

In the other she got out a container of red and gold glitter. She quickly flipped off the cap and tossed the glitter all in the hair of the 7th year Prefect.

She smirked and snapped the picture.

"Don't worry. I'll just get into my usual acceptable level of trouble." she said brightly.

"Happy Almost-Graduation. I figured you needed to properly support Gryffindor."

"Oh, okay." That made sense. Ella did sound like she had something important to say, Sophie had to agree with Laura on that.

The thirteen year-old eyed her fellow badger and waited. Wait. Mordred talk agaaain?? Aaaahhhhnooooooooooooo!!! Eep.

Sophie frowned a little when Ella explained to her what had happened. "Well... okay, you just talked to me!" Tadah! He should be happy now! ... Sophie wished that it was that simple. Sigh. "What does he want me to do?? He wants to talk to me??" Noooo!! There was nothing they could talk about!

"Ella, I can't just stalk talking to him like if nothing has happeeeened!!" Ella knew that, right?? Sophie looked around to make sure no one but Laura and Ella could hear her next words. "How am I supposed to hang out with him now that he has a girlfriend?? I need to stop talking to him completelyyyy so I will stop liking him once and for all!" And if he kept asking what was wrong with her, that would be more difficult!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Gideon thought he saw something move in Anya's non-camera-holding hand. But all he caught was an assumption and the feeling of something falling on his hair "What did ye--?" he questioned, breaking off in mid-sentence as the flash went off and the picture was taken.

Oh why did he feel a sense of deja vu?

Was it because he felt like he did when Vivi had tossed sprinkles in his hair during the Holiday event? Or no...no. It may be because he had gotten something on camera during Anya's brother's last days at Hogwarts. The realization hit him as his hand reached up to his head to try and pick out or at least identify what was there. He came back with a couple of flakes of glitter that would no doubt stick very nicely there.

"I dont suppose I'll have any better luck than Carter did?" His head shaking in mild amusement, causing flakes to rain down on his shoulders.

Anya grinned. "I only expect you to get about half of the glitter gone by the match." she said happily.

She laughed once more taking in the sight of the prefect's curls covered in glitter.

"Nope. This picture will take it's rightful place in a proper embarrassing spot. Got to leave a legacy, right?"

She just had to pick a spot. Perhaps in the dorm he'd occupied these past years? Or... perhaps the locker room? Or maybe even the bulletin board in the common room?

That was what he was afraid of. Glitter was notorious for sticking around and even washing his hair wasn't going to cut it. And unfortunately with the fact that his hair had been longer then it had been all term because of the charms class they had just finished up, his curls were even more messy and even more a magnet for the glitter thrown in them.

"Aye...I guess so," he replied ending up echoing her laughter. Now was not a time for sour grapes so he'd take it. "Just be nice and pick one spot. I'd rather not have to hide anytime soon."

Anya grinned happily. "I'll think of something." After putting it in a Popsicle stick frame.

Why? Because she wanted Popsicle.

"See you at the match. Have fun studying."

It was a beautiful day outside, so Logan had decided to take his work outside to work on in the courtyard. Though, not really anything was being done since his mind was on Sutton and their kiss yesterday. He still could not believe how bold he had been around her. Or how much he missed her. Maybe he would just go and look for her since it wasn't as if he was getting any studying done.

A lot of things had been happening lately and being so busy, Ness barely had the time to even think to herself anymore. When she had spare time she was mostly beginning to prepare for OWLs and that took most of her energy at the moment. She did need some fresh air once in a while though and seeing as it wasn't raining for a change Nessie took this opportuinity to be outdoors.

With her school satchel on her shoulder the red head made her way towards the courtyard. It was the best place she could come up with where she could work outdoors with not too much interruption. This was her first mistake of the day though, her second was to bring Puffles whom had now run off into the direction of her newly ex boyfriend, Logan.

Awkward much. Sigh.

Nervously biting her lip, Nessie made her way towards him. She picked up Puffles who seemed to had just started to nibble Logans shoe. "Erm..sorry about him." She refused to even meet Logan's eyes. In honesty though she really wanted to talk to him, try explain things over again, because by the way she and him and both gotten mad nothing had worked out the way Nessie had wanted it to.

"Look, I..." she couldn't utter the words again. It wasn't like Logan would be curious anyways.

Now this was not expected. Cassia has never even thought of this theory before but it seemed so real and reasonable that she now was wondering how no one has even thought of it before! She nodded at Lex, "That's it you're gonna dry your feet right now." Because if Lex get sick then Cassia has no one to work with covering this mystery. When the lioness mentioned that Cassia only had two years left, she felt a shudder. "Lex not helping..stop reminding me ok?" because if she freaked out she can never think straight! "But how are we gonna know how is this happening? I bet it is so complicated….maybe dark magic." Well, that was a wild guess because Cassia couldn't think of anything else to say. Though it was not likely as Hogwarts is a school and surely they weren't going to allow that to happen.

Cassia smiled that even Lex could imagine how awesome would life be if all students had their energy stored and not drained. She mused imagining whatever Alexa mentioned until…she said something about headless chickens. "I…am not sure about the chickens but I am pretty sure that it would have been awesome and cooler." No doubt . A Potion? Cassia paused considering that. "I am not really an expert of potions you see," She admitted though it wasn't likely that Alexa thought that. "And we couldn't really ask any professor….They wouldn't want for this to be uncovered." After all that is their plan. Because they are the only people who have advantages of this.

So what would they do? "Listen..we have to solve this mystery before I am…..you know.." Cassia looked at Lex's eyes with a horrified look. "Infected." She said dramatically. She couldn't imagine herself like the others sitting around doing nothing or drooling over someboy and maybe snapping at younger cute little students. "We need ideas." She said helplessly. Now Lex should come up with those because Gryffindors were smarter than Slytherins…everyone knew that!

"Oh sorry..." She didn't mean to rub it in like that. It was terrible news--tragic actually and she imagined that thinking about something like that could scare anyone. She wasn't even the one it applied to and she was getting just as freaked out. "No more talking like that. It's better to think of a solution." She thought about Cassia's suggestion for a moment. "Hmmmm...maybe...I guess it would make sense if some dark magic was involved." The students' behaviour was certainly characteristic of that. Being boring all the time was just terrible! "It could be a curse of some kind..." She mused.

Lex giggled at Cassia's comment about the chickens. "I didn't mean it literally, you just have to imagine a bunch of students running around like the world belongs to them and them alone." Saying that made her smile. A world run by children would've been amazing, hands down. Grown ups just weren't doing it right. She waved her hand dismissively at the girl's next sentence. "Don't worry about that. I think if we play around with it for a little we'll be able to find a cure. Between the two of us anything's possible." And if all else failed. "We could probably press our luck with Lafay if need be." Just a suggestion.

She nodded vigorously. "Yeah, no kidding! Maybe it's a really simple mystery but whatever it is we have to solve it before time runs out...I don't want you infected..." That would was such a scary one. People could be infected with so many things these days. "Don't worry, we'll think of something...." And now she would attempt a brilliant idea...those didn't come very often.

He smiled as she seemed very happy that things between him and Ella were good. He wondered what had gotten into her since she was smiling the widest smile he had ever seen on her face. Oh no.. she was going to do something he could just see it in her eyes.. as the plan formulated in her mind.

Just then before he could react she was jumping up and singing at the top of her lungs about him and Ella, he couldnt help but laugh at her teasing him over Ella! As well as turn a little pink and he hid this from her until he felt his normal color return before looking back up at her again "Ronnie!! we werent sitting in a tree doing that you know!!" he chuckled.. oh no way was he telling her where they had.

Ronnie noticed Harvey look away and grinned again. He was probably trying to hide his face 'cause he was BLUSHINGGG! HA! "Aww, Harvsey, were you bluuushing?" she teased as he turned back to face her.

She then laughed at what he said. "Ohh, Harvey." she giggled, shaking her head.

Minerva walked out to the court yard and found a place to sit. She pulled out her parchment and looked at her cryptogram another time. She had been working so hard on it, but still the subject confused her. What if she had made one that didn't really make sense, or worse didn't say anything at all. Pulling out her book she started to make sure she did all of it correctly.

Looking around she knew Harvey should be there soon. She was so thankful he was going to look at it for her and try to figure it out. Oh she hoped that it wasn't to easy, but didn't want it to hard either. Smiling at what it said she knew if it worked out the right way it would be a good one. Now if she could just be confident in her own work to know that it was going to turn out right. Sighing she knew that her puzzle was going to be as good as it was going to get, so she shut her book and sat back waiting for Harvey to get there.

His mouth fell open as she called him Harvsey and not only that! she had also asked if he was blushing, and of course he was always saying that blushing was a girl thing and not a guy thing so he was soooo obviously going to deny anything she said.. right! "Me? blushing? No way Ronnie.. Harvey doesnt do blushing.. you do though remember?" oh yeah he was so going to turn this on Ronnie the red-as-a-tomato faced girl

"What!" he then closed his eyes as he realised what had just happened.. he had just revealed to her that he and Ella had kissed.. oh boy.. he could see more teasing coming his way. Man he was bringing all this upon himself! what was wrong with him today!?



He had gotten an owl from Minnie saying that she wanted him to work out her cryptogram that she had made for the Arithmancy homework and he was always happy to help her out, so he walked out to the courtyard to do just that. He looked around and smiled when he saw her.. reading a book.. he chuckled a little and shook his head, he had nothing against it.. but he was sometimes afraid she read those books for fun too.. not that he had any problem with that either. He then watched her shut her book just as he got there "Hey Mins.. here I am.. ready to do what you want me to" he said sitting next to her "How are you?" he asked cause there was no way he was going to sit her and just do the work without knowing how she was. He just hoped that she hadnt created a hard one that he couldnt solve, cause he wanted to solve it but what if he couldnt.. oh that would be bad! Unless she had made it hard on purpose.. oh he was making himself nervous

Minerva looked up and smiled when she saw Harvey had made it. "Hope I'm not taking you from anything or any plans you might have with Ella." She laughed a bit, it wasn't fun unless she was teasing him about something. She thought about that questions how was she. That was a hard one to answer, "Do you have like a day to know how I am." She chuckled a bit, "I'm great, Ethan is great, so that part is great. I'm overwhelmed with all our homework and these last classes for term. So I guess I'm great, but exhausted." She chuckled a bit.

Okay Harvey Watson time to get down to business. "Did you understand the cryptogram stuff from class?" That was her first question to see if at least one of them would know what they were doing. "You know this is one of my weakest subjects, but I think I got this one down. I have my book so you can look up the letters that go with it and try to figure it out. I think I did it right, I hope so, because I like the ending once you figure it out." Handing over the parchment she smiled, "Ready?"

He chuckled and shook his head, he should have known that question would come "No.. no.. even she has work to do, as much as I would love to spend every minute with her.. I cannot. So I am free to spend some time with you .. and do this thing you want me to do" yup two things in one.. he could finish this cryptogram thing she wanted him to do and maybe they could possibly hang out afterwards. He raised his eyebrows as she asked her own question, he shook his head "No I dont.. I..I just ask everyone how they are when we meet, even if we do meet on a daily basis" like Ella he always asked how she was no matter how often they hung out. He smiled and it got bigger as she went on to say that part was great, brilliant! Ethan was being a good claw, well he wasnt surprised cause claws were awesome like that and he was sure Minnie knew it all too well. He frowned at the homework and classes part, he nodded and smiled "Well I am glad you are great! its hard not to be when you have a special someone in your life" yup he always felt like he could fly when he was with Ella "Just not too please about the work, need to slow down this school does" before the hospital wing is bombarded with exhausted students.

He nodded at her question "Well it was tough at first.. but I got the hang of it if thats what you mean" he answered as best as he could, cause he did solve it.. in the end. He nodded knowing that it was her weakest, he blinked a few times.. he would be looking stuff up in the book? oh boy what was she giving him? He smiled "Yeah? is it a good ending?" it cant be about her and Ethan cause.. that would not be allowed in a homework and plus.. Minnie didnt seem like she would put a cryptic message about her and Ethan into some work. He nodded "Yup!" he took the parchment and looked it over.

Harvey looked at the encryption and just blinked at it, he looked at Minnie "Umm Mins I know I am a claw and everything but even I cannot do this! This looks even harder than Hadley's and that one was a tough one!" he blinked looking between her and the parchment that he had in his hand. He exhaled as he just continued blinking at it and then decided that he might as well give it a go.. afterall he was a claw.. so he should be able to do this. But man did it look hard, with all its calculations and things, he looked at her and smiled as best as he could "Ok let me see if I can do this.. right give me some clues as to how to solve this.. please.. I am gonna need those clues!!" he looked back at the parchment ready for her to give him the clues to at least start solving it, whether he would manage it was another thing all together.

Minerva listened to him and couldn't help but laugh a bit, he was so head over heals for Ella, which she was glad. Ella was a great girl and Harvey better take good care of her. Then he commented on the homework and school part, "Well between homework and all the odd things going on around here, it's hard to focus on anything else, but term will end faster then we think." She really couldn't believe they would be fifth years soon. That just seemed crazy, they hadn't been at Hogwarts that long it seemed.

Eyeing Harvey as he looked over her work, she frowned.. "Does it look like I did something wrong?" Then she started to realize he might have thought it was hard. Harvey Watson thought it was hard.. no way, he was a claw, of course it couldn't be hard for him. Looking over his shoulder a bit she just wanted to check her work, she wasn't trying to make him nervous or anything. "Well I think the ending is pretty good. We will see what you think." She sighed when she figured it was as good as it was going to get and just sat back for a moment watching him still looking at it. Then he asked for clues and she chuckled. "Oh Harvey, you mean you can't just do this on your own? I thought you were a Ravenclaw.." Yes, she was being a bit smug but she was only joking. It was her that had pestered him to go to classes and do homework for the past four terms, so this was just another way of getting to him about school work.

"Clues... Clues.. What kind of clues can I give you.. hmmm let's see. Well you know it goes with the Pythagorean Number System, so your going to want to look up the letters for the numbers on I think it's page 75 of the book. I could be wrong of the page number though." Trying to think of another clue she smiled, "Oh yes.. you probably will need to know that the X should be changed to an L." There he wanted clues he got clues. Now go ahead Harvey let's see what you can do..

"You LIVE THERE?!" Cora asked in disbelief, before giggling realizing it was obviously an exaggeration. Not that Cora thought that was too silly. She would LOVE to live there.

"Oh, I love it there. I've only really been to Honeydukes though, which I would love to again of course, but never anywhere else. I'm up for anything," Cora said with a smile. She had missed Nora. And there was so much going on now that Cora could use some fun. "Any ideas?" Cora would obviously do anything Nora wanted to. Yep.

He heard her laugh a bit and looked at her "What? did I say something funny?" he asked as he chuckled himself, it was true though.. no matter how much time they spent together they always wanted more. Always missing hanging out and only being able to SEE each other in class, no talking or hand holding which he wasnt pleased about. He listened as she talked about the homework and classes and things "Yeah thats true, so much going on.. that your focus is all over the place" he understood that, he looked around the courtyard and nodded "Yeah it will" and then it would be harder to see Ella since she wouldnt be allowed to stay out for hours and hours on end, but he would enjoy it when they would go to each others house. He knew that his family would enjoy having her visit again, since they loved having her over last time. "Yeah time does fly" when you are having fun with your girl or in this case his girl, it seemed like only last month they had met and they were dating already.. he thought to himself

He looked at her and shook his head "Well not from what I can see, I mean I am just looking at jumbled numbers and letters on this parchment" he said looking back down at the parchment. He felt her look over his shoulders to see her cryptogram as she said that the ending was pretty good "Ah ok.. yeah lets see what I think of it" if I can ever solve this thing he thought to himself. He heard her chuckle when he asked for clues, he had no idea he had said anything funny but ok.. he the saw why she had chuckled, he looked ather "Umm no! have you seen this thing, its all mumbo jumbo that no-one can get without clues." he looked back it "Man just thinking of trying to solve this without clues is giving me a headache let along trying to actually solve it without clues" he said scanning over it again, yup nope.. this required some clues which is why had asked for them.

He looked at her as she decided on what clues she could give him so that he could start solving this jumble of something that was on the piece of parchment. Pythagorean Number System? thats what the calculations were? she was going all out on this just cause he was a claw.. wasnt she? He opened her book to page 75 faster than you could say Minerva Hermione Wheatborn, he looked it over.. well hopefully the letters would present themselves to him without him having to guess them. "OK I see the table.. you are definitely not making this an easy one thats for sure, but this could be solvable afterall" he said still studying the table before he looked at her as she gave him the next clues, he looked at the parchment and sure enough he saw the X's that were there. He nodded "Alright! Lets get this started... lets hope we find out the ending of this" he said putting the book open to his side and taking out his parchment and ink/quill.

"Ok so this is what you have given me " he said to her as he shook her parchment



" lets add the clues you were talking about" he said getting out his quill and getting to work



He then looked at Minnie "That looks right.. yeah?" he said showing her what he had come up with "Though I dont think you can do 10 divided by an S Mins.. no-one can do that" he chuckled as he showed her his working out.

Minerva watched as he tried to figure it out. Then when he questioned her she gave him an automatic look. She knew that this was her weakest subject, but no one ever questioned her when it came to school work. How could he possibly be questioning her. A thought then crossed her mind, was she.....wrong. Did she do something that wasn't right in her own puzzle. That would be so embarrassing if she did. "Let me take a look..." She took the parchment from him and started looking. No.. no her puzzle looked correct. So what was going on. Where did this S come from... She wasn't sure. Looking back over her work she began to smile.

Looking up at him she chuckled, "Harvey Watson I think you need to start spending more time in the books and less time with Ella." She looked back at the parchment. Then pointed, do you see this S that you questioned.. Look back up at the puzzle. It's a 5 not an S. It should be 10/5=, not 10/s... Where on earth did you see an S. Are you getting enough sleep?" She still laughed about it a bit. "Once you have that 5 in there you should be able to fix the question marks. Now don't forget to move these X's, because they need switched to L's." As Minerva was about to give the parchment back to him she then noticed something else. "Hold up.. I almost missed an error." She looked at it closer, "Yes Harvey right here... I don't think you are going to get a right calculation with a 44/1. I think that 1 should be a different number." She looked at him and wondered if that all made sense. "Does that help at all?" Handing him back the parchment she hoped she wasn't more confusing then helpful.
