A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.
Well… it was true. A lot of things had happened at Hogwarts in the past years. But that didn’t mean Beauxbatons was a better choice. From what her best friend had told her, the other school seemed rather pompous and boring. Since Presley didn’t take the time to talk about it anymore, Gwendolyn didn’t say anything. She had expected the other Ravenclaw to tell her what happened with Elliot… but nothing like that happened. No. Presley was very quiet now.
This was one thing Gwen couldn’t understand. Presley came here because she wanted someone to be sympathetic. How could Gwen be sympathetic if she didn’t even know the problem, nor did Presley tell her the whole story. Well… it was true, the fifth year didn’t care much for long stories, not even short conversations if she disliked the person… but now… Gwendolyn couldn’t help but feel a bit useless for not doing anything to cheer Presley up.
Oh well.
’If you need any help with the spells…’, the fifth year heard herself saying. She herself still needed to practice, because she managed to cast only a few non-verbal spells so far, but mehh. This was probably the right thing to do. So she offered to help.
When she heard Presley thank her, the fifth year just raised an eyebrow at her fellow housemate. What for? She hadn’t done anything. ‘Alright’, she mumbled, glimpsing back at her potions book.
Presley nodded. "If I get too frustrated, I'll definitely come to you." It was a lie, Presley never asked for help, but it was social norm. It was the right thing to say. She smiled at Gwen, grateful to the girl for allowing Presley to unload all of her negative emotion. And swept back into the castle.

LE GASP!
Lex's mouth flew open in utter shock and there was a tinge of betrayal marked in her expression. "You too?! Granted I might have deserved Professor Scabior silencing me--might-- but I'm sure the others were unwarranted!!!" Which was pretty true. People just seemed so eager to raise their wands at this place!
Oh! Professors TOOO? Lex either had a blind eye about her own failings (or her own inner awesomeness, depending on who you asked) or she had a target on her back. And since she wasn't a famous person's kid or a Slytherin...
Probably didn't know how awesome she was.
"Hear me out... what if five people walked up to you and told you your shoe was untied? You don't think it's untied... it doesn't feel untied. Would you look and see, or would you just keep on until you tripped?" See? Logic.

She opened her mouth to speak but then closed it as she thought more carefully about the the question. Hmm...what would she have done...? "Well I wouldn't of tripped because like you said I don't think it's untied and I would only think that if I knew for sure that it wasn't." Yeah...she was never wrong therefore the other people had to be wrong.
"And anyway it's not a case like that. The Ravenclaw girl tricked me with chocolate to make me think she was nice but then she found out that taking off my charm would have cost me 50 points--she got this scary mad look on her face then pointed her wand at me and started shooting the same spell at me over and over!!! The Slytherin girl heard me and Seri talking about sneaking Seri into the Gryffindor common room then she started being annoying right before she silenced me too!! And I mean the Professor had no grounds at all. I went asking her for help and she silenced me." She said the last part through gritted teeth, knowing she had to calm down before she started yelling.

"Well. It's possible that you're completely innocent and being persecuted, and I"m sorry about that. It's a terrible shame," Vivi launched off the wall and quickly circled the girl.
"The other shame is that you're small and fast and clever, but you keep getting hit. We need to teach you to block spells."

"THANK YOU!"Finally, someone who saw things her way! She never did anything wrong for the most part and was clearly being picked on because she was little and could do nothing about it! Lex watched curiously as Vivi launched off the wall and began circling her. She thought to question it but then the Ravenclaw spoke again.
Alexa beamed at being called clever; take that sorting hat, someone thought she was clever! Hah!
The real joy came when she said she would teach her to block spells. "Neat! Will you teach me how to hex too? I have a few people on my list that I really want to get to before Christmas." And one way or another, she woooouuuld get them.

See? Now that was all the Squirt really needed. She just needed someone to take her in hand and teach her some... huhwhazzat? Vivi paused in her circling and turned slowly to face Lex, her eyebrows once again climbing into her hairline.
"I'm not really sure we're on the page here. In fact, we might be in opposite libraries. I'm offering to teach you to defend yourself, and you want me to teach you to throw hexes?"

Alexa's brows furrowed when her friend suddenly stopped her little circle movement. Had she said something wrong? Looking up at her she saw her raise her eyebrows.
Blink. Blink. Blink.
What was with that look?
"Hey, I thought you said we weren't on the same page; you seem to understand quite well!" Yup. Hit the nail on the head too. GRIN. "I might as well seeing as I wanna teach them why they shouldn't have messed with me in the first place." Nod.

"Squirt, it might perplex you as to why people keep throwing hexes, but I have to tell you... I don't find it all that puzzling," Vivi sighed and dropped her head to the side, giving Lex a loooooooong measured look.
Fine. SIGH. "I'll teach you some hexes, but if you get caught, you do NOT tattle on me. Deal?"
Lana shook her head and let out a small laugh. "I hardly thing that about you and besides if all of that was true, I doubt we could be related." Lana didn't think she could be related to someone that was all those things. "Well, the crazy part I could live with, but the whole annoying and self-centred thing would not do." she added. If people thought Laura was self-centred, Lana wondered what they thought of the people around here that were really self-centred. "You are just as self-centred as any other 13 yr old witch around here." Seriously, there were probably firsties around that were more self-absorbed than her twin. "You do know that you can still have fun and be smart." It was possible, Lana had been able to do it on occasion.
Lana smiled brightly as she took journal. "I love it," she beamed as she hugged her twin again. "I've been thinking about getting a new one too. You are too good to me sometimes." They still had a few months before their birthday and Lana felt honoured that Laura had thought that far ahead. "I'll have to come and find you to give you your gift. We will have to make a promise to see each other!" December would be upon them in no time, but they would just have to make the time to see each other. "Reading is fun!" she laughed. "Told you, you would like it if you gave it a try." Lana had been telling her sister for years how it wasn't as terrible as some of the neighbour kids said it was.
Lana laughed a little at how excited her sister was. "I'll write daddy and ask them about it," she replied. They were due to owl their parents soon anyway.
Laura looked at Lana and smiled. "Thanks for saying that." Laura suddenly took out a couple of Mars bars she had left and gave one to her sister. "Your the Best Sister EVER." Laura hugged her twin, seriously she had let her sister drift away from her these past couple of years but now she was going to make sure it didn't happen anymore. "I know and I am going to have fun still." Laura giggled.
Laura looked at her sister and hugged her back. "I'm glad you like it." Laura thought it had been worth the trip to see the look on her sister face now. "It'll be great if we could see each other." Laura looked suddenly so excited, her sister wanted to spend time with her, that was cool. "Oh I know I'm reading loads now." Laura giggled.
"I'm got to write a letter for mummy and daddy, I want to tell them about the Mini Golf Course here and the Hot Spring." Laura suddenly had a great idea. "Why don't we both go to the Library and work on the letter together?" Laura was sure that would make their parents happy.

...
"What's that suppose to mean...?" She didn't like how that sentence sounded at all. For some reason it sounded like Vivi actually agreed with the meanies but of course she didn't because she was on Lex's side and therefore was all for anything having to deal with Alexa being right!
The 11 year old squealed when she finally gave consent. "Yaaaay!!" This was perfect! Now that Headmistress, that HoM Professor and that Charms Professor would pay...and that Slytherin girl...but she was smaller fish compared to them. "You got it! No matter what happens I won't tell on you!" BEAM. She had her word and if there was one thing the kid kept, it was her word.

It meant that the girl was trouble, but Vivi wasn't sure it was worth fussing about. Lex didn't seem to believe that she could have deserved being silenced, although she seemed to have an opinion that she wanted to share about eeeeeeeeeverything.
Lucky that Vivi found it amusing. Endearing, even.

"So what spells do you want to learn, then? Hmm?"
Hmmmmmm....
That was a pretty interesting question! There were tonnes that she wanted to learn right away so she could go on her own little rampage but of course she had to play it smart and take it a step at a time. It didn't mean she would be taking it easy with the spell casting--heavens no--she just had to think of the ones that would be most useful to her seeing as Vivi wouldn't have all day to run through spells with her.
"Well...the main one is the silencing," Oh yes, she was going to teach Professor Scabior just how inconvenient it was to be silenced...Professor Bellaire too. "Then I wanna learn something like a shocking one to zap annoying people!" Like that annoying Slytherin girl, "And anything else you wanna throw in; I'm sure I'll find use for them too."

Merlin, this was starting to be a fiasco! Vivi nodded at each spell on the list, but she finally just flapped her hands at Lex. "You want to learn to silence people, or you want to learn how to reverse it? We can learn both. That'll be a good start for today."
And then she could have time to talk herself into the highly illogical and unwise idea of teaching Lex any spell that could cause pain or harm to someone else. Because the thing about Short Stuff here? She'd actually USE the spells on people.
Hearing the other Ravenclaw say something, Gwendolyn just gave a small nod, even though she didn’t really believe that her fellow house mate would indeed ask for help. And Presley probably knew that very well too. Mehh. It was the right thing to offer to help, so her job there was done. It was all up to Presley next.
‘Alright’, the fifth year mused just before the other Ravenclaw started walking away. Truth be told, she felt a bit bad for not being able to do something to at least cheer Presley up.

No-one needs to point-out that about half of the Slytherin population ate completly and utterly miserable beings." She sighed, as to her, this was true. Rora and Ariana and West and Theo and that lot... Seri rolled her eyes.
"Oh, I already knew that," Seri said knowingly and cleverly. Yeeeeah, she already knew. Only because of that other kid and stuff. Though she hadn't known her last name. Now, what year was she? She looked her up and down, but Seri didn't have an great ideas as to where she firted on the Hogwarts family tree. She had a terrible sense of age, despite having three brothers, they all seemed just about the same to her. She gave up, frowning, "So, what year are you?" Seri thought about asking if she'd had a good day, but she knew that so far, today had been totally and completly boring. Yep.
That was one thing Gwen couldn’t understand. Why didn’t she like being a Slytherin? That was the house for which the fifth year had wished for at first. Well, she soon learned to like Ravenclaw more than the other houses but still… she couldn’t figure out why Serenity wasn’t pleased with being one of the Snakes. ‘What?’, she just raised an eyebrow at the younger girl. Would she have preferred being a Hufflepuff instead?!?! ‘I don’t understand how you can dislike your house’ Slytherins were amazing. Some of Gwen’s best friends were in that house! ‘Then, what house have you hoped to get sorted into?’. She asked, thinking that she may be getting somewhere by proving to the girl that Slytherin was better. Well, unless the other house was Ravenclaw… she couldn’t find convincing reasons that the Eagles weren’t great.
After waiting for the first year to answer her question, Gwendolyn heard Serenity say something about already knowing her name. Mhm. Well, since Presley was there and just had mentioned the Ravenclaw’s name, there was no need for Gwen to ask from where the Slytherin knew about it. Mehh. Moving on. ‘Fifth’, she answered rather curtly. And now she was the one who knew something about Serenity, who was clearly a firstie.

Addy could barely contain her JOY as she ran through to the center of the Courtyard, box tucked under her arm, smile on her face. HEHEHE. Lexi had sent what she asked for immediately so it was no time before she was calling on Penelope to come join her for some fun. She had already put her tutu on over her leggings... there were no ballet shoes for her, though. She had merely slipped on a pair of fur lined boots and been done with it. Hehe.
She DID, however, have a few extra tutus in case anyone aside from Penelope wanted to join in. HEHE. Now here's hoping someone had a wireless or something so they could actually have some music... Addy had nothing of the sort. The girl then plopped down on her bottom and waited for the other girl to come along.

Sutton was running through the courtyard. Literally. She was out on a run. Knowing that soon she'd have to actually go running with Edmund like she said she would, she figured she should probably make sure she was still in shape first. Collapsing in the middle of the fruit orchard or something would be embarrassing. Reaching the courtyard, now, on her way back in, though, she slowed as she saw someone familiar. "Hey Addy! What's --" her eyes drifted to the tutu, and a broad smile broke out on her face as she tried to catch her breath. "What are you doing in a tutu? Since when do they have ballet here?" she was laughing, but honestly... that was probably a class Sutton would want to take... secretly. What little girl hadn't dreamed of being a ballerina?

You could reverse that spell too?! Where was Vivi to tell her that earlier?! She might not have reversed it on the Professor but that Ariana girl could have been her first target! Minerva thought for a second about that day in the orchard, "You know what Ari, I think she was a blonde actually not a red head. Her attitude maybe she could be a red head. Oh you should have seen her. So full of herself, like she owned the place and everyone should just throw themselves at her." rolling her eyes in irritation Minerva continued. "She didn't really say much to me, but it was the conversation I had overheard between them before they knew I was there and the way she stood waiting on him, when him and I were talking. It just pushed me the wrong way." she looked down at the table, "but whatever if he wants to be with someone like that then I'm happy for him and yes she is a Ravenclaw." she then smirked, "does that give him a girl from every house he has dated at school?"

"You can reverse most spells. Well... sometimes the reversion takes way more magic than the original spell, but it's possible. Can't reverse death, though, and you can't undo hurting people." You could make them forget, but that was just dirty pool to Vivi's estimation.
She crossed her arms and took up space on the wall again. "I'm not going to teach you spells that hurt people. I'll teach you tricky spells, funny ones, but that's it." Not when the girl so blatantly intended to cause harm to her classmates. Kid should have been a Slytherin.

Ooooo.
This was all news to the kid. So there was in fact a way to reverse stuff...but...if it took more magic then she didn't think she would get that for a while. Moooooving on to something more feasible and short term.
She pouted slightly when Vivi leaned against the wall once more and refused to teach her anything that actually hurt. That wasn't fair. What fun could be had if the person wasn't in tears? The thought of whining and throwing a miniature tantrum came to mind but she had a feeling the girl would have simply walked away then she wouldn't have accomplished anything so she agreed with a heavy sigh. "Fiiiiiine, I guess those could work too--people cry when they're embarrassed, right?" Because then the funny ones would be especially useful.

Since when do they have ballet here?" she was laughing, but honestly... that was probably a class Sutton would want to take... secretly. What little girl hadn't dreamed of being a ballerina?
So apparently she and Addy were going to do some kind of dance or something. Penelope wasn't entirely sure. But it seemed like it could be fun, so she'd agreed to it and made her way down to the courtyard where they'd said to meet. When she got there, Penelope first noticed the tutus Addy had - good, she would be needing one of those - and then she noticed there was another girl there that she didn't immediately recognized. Was she going to joining her and Addy too? Penelope wouldn't really mind if she was.
"Hey," she said when she reached them. "Are you gonna be joining us?" she asked the other girl.

Huh. Vivi absently twirled her ponytail, doing that mental measurement thing again with her eyes. It was just... it was just disconcerting how Lex wanted to hurt people. Emotionally traumatize. Vengeance was hers. All that nonsense.
Not that Vivi was blameless... she liked some good revenge just as much as the next girl.
"Let's just start with Silencio." She drew her wand from her holster and demonstrated the wand movement. "Try that."

For a moment she thought she might have reconsidered teaching her, especially with that look she had on her face but that thought was quickly gone when she suggested they start with the silencing one.
Her eyes went wide when she saw her reach for her wand and she quickly jumped back before her brain could register that the girl was simply reaching for her wand. One couldn't blame her though; the Charms Professor did a cheap shot like that and caught her completely off-guard.
Calming down a bit she paid attention to the wand movement then mimicked it the best she could. "Like that?"
