A stone square courtyard is the first aspect of the grounds that you come to after you travel through the corridor. Surrounded by magnificent stone columns adorned with luscious ivy and slight lily growth, the courtyard provides students with benches to sit on with their friends or for the one who just wishes for some peace and quiet. Also, in the middle stands a very illustrious Wishing Fountain.

"I'm glad you don't believe it." Laura hugged her sister. "Because I'm not going soft and I ain't as bad as people say I am." Laura promised her sister. "If I was that bad mummy and daddy would tell me off." Laura sighed.
Laura looked at her sister and smiled again. "I'm glad we will always be together, I thought I was losing you because I haven't seen you much even at home this summer we didn't speak much." Laura sighed, she really missed her twin sister so much. "I'm glad we are talking again." Laura hugged her twin sister. "And I promise I'll do my best to work hard and stay out of trouble for the rest of this term." Since she had been in trouble for the water balloon incident on the fourth floor she had realised she was now a third year and that her owls where coming up fast on her, so she had to make sure she worked hard. "I didn't feel like it." Laura didn't fancy going on a broom at the minute, she was too upset.
Lana nodded her head and smiled. "Yeah, I'm sure you would think outside the box and get out of there." It would be hard, but Laura did strike Lana as the type that would think of some outlandish idea to free herself. "A mad genius, I'm sure." Laura really didn't give herself much credit, but her twin had a good head on her shoulders; if only she used it for good. Patting Laura on the back again, she pulled away and smiled. "You know I only tend to believe things that I've seen with my own two eyes." Most of the stuff she read in the aparecium, she took with a grain of salt anyway. "I think the term you are thinking about is you are just misunderstood." Lana knew that Laura wasn't all that bad, she had her moments; but that didn't make her as bad as people let on. "Mummy and daddy would have stepped in to scold you if you were really that terrible."
Lana felt bad for how things between had gotten so bad, but this was a new term and things were looking up. "I'm really sorry about that, but I promise that I'll try not to let that happen again." They were teenagers and sometimes things just came up. They would need time to themselves from time to time. "Just do your best and let things happen the way they should," she replied. Their first two years had gone by so quickly after all. Glancing over again in the general area of the pitch, she shrugged. "I'm going to get myself together and try-out next year for sure." She really missed it, but she needed to pull herself together before she could really play. It would be a learning and growing experience for her.
Tay stood up as well, "I shalln't be your 'mon amour' until I am the only girl on your mind. I will not let you do what you did to Mins to me!" She crossed her arms.
Damon took a step back, clear hurt showing on his face, "How could you even think that I would do that to you? I wasn't in love with Minerva! But I am with you... No one's changing that!" He said sternly before turning his back to her, about to start walking away.

He didn't hear her say his name, but he sighed, "I do love you Taylor... but I'm sorry, I can't change everything to make you happy." With that he walked away from her.

"Oh that is cool, if you make the team next term I will be cheering you on." Laura promised her twin.

Minerva looked at her, she couldn't believe the train broke down. That was just crazy and really hard to believe. Then there were portkeys, Minerva was beginning to be glad she didn't make the train and had to come late. Landon laughed along with Damon. So it seemed both of them were horrible at names. Good to know, although he was sure he could propose a theory on how all guys were bad at knowing names. Hmm... "Exactly! I met like four elves today and I don't even remember one of their names. They all look alike...well some of them." He said, scrunching up his face. "Okay." He nodded, popping another oreo into his mouth. More for me! Wait a second. "Are you a werewolf?" He said, eyeing Damon. He was raised in the woods? Yeah. He must be a werewolf or something.

She walked slowly towards him - she wasn't sure why, but she did. Maybe it was to seem more natural? Maybe she should've worn all black and been a spy like she had planned over the summer. No time for that now. But Landon was busy talking to someone. Would it be rude to interrupt the conversation?
No. There were plans that needed to be carried out. "Hello Pobby!" Melanie exclaimed, beaming at him before smiling politely at the other person Landon had been talking to.
She wasn't being awkward at all.
"And hi to you too!" Melanie added, smiling at the other person and giving waving hello. "Isn't it a wonderful day today?" Melanie added. Because she wasn't sure how long she needed to distract Pobby in the first place.
As Landon was talking to Damon he heard that familiar voice next to him and he jumped back. "Geez, Melanie. Make yourself known when you're about to come up to a person." He said, fixing his hair. It was perfect really, but it could never be too perfect.
He raised his eyebrow at her question about it being a wonderful day. Something was going on, that was for sure. "Uh-yeah. Very nice." He nodded, looking up at the sky. "So...did you need anything?" He asked, looking back down at his best friend.

Taryn smiled and took the girl's hand since she'd offered it, "Nice to meet you Ariella, I'm Taryn." And obviously, she was a Slytherin. The blonde scooped up her cat and sat on the bench, replacing the cat between the two of them. Clara mewed and rubbed against the girl's side. "Do you like it here?" She wondered what it would have been like to come into Hogwarts as a first year. Surely it was different than coming in later as a transfer.
Oliver was trotting around the corridor to the courtyard when suddenly, he saw a little gray mousie go by. "Meow!"
Oliver ran after it. He was gonna get this mousie, he knew it! He was an excellent hunter. He really was, and he was very proud of it. He killed basically ANYTHING he caught! And he was not gonna let this mousie get away, noooo way! He ran after the mouse to the entrance of the courtyard and pounced on it, watching as it squirmed underneath his paws. "Meowwww!" he mewed, tearing at it with his claws.
"That way?" Ronnie asked, looking at where he pointed. "C'mon!" she said, grabbing his hand and running towards where he had pointed. She needed to find her baby!
"Oh, well...lately he's been acting strange. He keeps randomly running off a lot." she explained, shaking her head as she contiuned to look for Oliver. "I have no idea what's gotten into hi- EWWW!" she shrieked, looking at a dead mouse in front of her. She looked at the kitten sitting behind it, looking quite proud of himself. Well, that's what it looked like to her, anyways. She put her hands on her hips and shook her head. "Oliver! Gross! Did you do this?!" she asked, picking him up. "Don't you ever run away again!" she said.
She then turned to Nigel. "Well, I found him." she said with a sigh. She glanced at the dead mouse then back at Nigel. "I think he did that.." she said, pointing at the mouse with her free arm. EWW.
From what Nigel gathered. It seemed that her cat did not really like her. Plus, since it looked like Nigel was not going to get the nap he wanted. He would help Ronnie.
Nigel walked with Ronnie till they reached her cat. It seemed pleased with itself after it caught the mouse. It seemed that the work was done and Ronnie had her cat again. Even if it had a dead mouse it's mouth. Now Ronnie was threatening her cat. Well, that was not the way to deal with any animal.
" Ronnie if you say don't run away again. Your cat is going to run away the first chance it sees a mouse. Now if you buy your cat dead mice to eat them it might stay closer to you to be fed."
Ronnie's cat looked a lot smart then Nigel thought. He would never understand cats.

Damon looked at the the girl and raised a hello, "Um... Hi there?" He already wasn't a huge social person but now there was another person he didn't know at all... Ugh, "Damon," He gave a kind nod to be polite though, not wanting to seem rude.

Why was she being awkward? Melanie wasn't sure at all. But she looked at the boy Landon was conversing with. "Hi Damon, I'm Melanie," Melanie said, nodding her head then glancing at Landon.
"I said hi, didn't I?" she asked with a smile on her face. Because she had - she was fairly certain of it.
Right. Did she... need... anything? Melanie's brown eyes widened at the question, wondering how she was supposed to answer that. She hadn't thought of anything! How was she going to distract him now before the plans were carried out and completed?! Panicking inside slightly, she could feel her cheeks turning red as she struggled to think of something. "Ah!" Melanie exclaimed, lifting her finger up in the air as something popped into her head. "I did! I uh... wanted to know what your favorite flavor for cake was!" Phew. Crisis averted? Kinda? Maybe? Hopefully. Melanie peered around Landon, wondering exactly when Tag would be coming.

Tag was trying to get accoustomed on how to move in the costume. When he took a step his body would lean over to one side or his stomach would double in and he tripped forward like a horse trying to learn how to trot for the first time. But after a few steps he figured out how to center himself. An so he slowly creeped up behind Landon, who was ever so kindly, talking to Melanie. Perfect.
Cake flavor? Tag caught a piece of what Melanie was trying to ask Landon.Yeah, asking about the weather would probably seem less suspicious but considering Melanie asked about food Landon might get distracted. Still, Tag couldn't help but silently giggle to himself. Closer and closer he came behind Landon, until he was in earshot-but far enough so that if Tag accidentally tripped, the whole 'scare Landon' plan would not fall to pieces.
And with a loud roar, like a lion Tag went "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" while flailing around his arms all the same.
Lana looked at her sister and tilted her head as she thought about what she was just asked. "What do you mean? I see my sister. Laura looked at Lana and gave her a hug. "Well most people think I'm a self-centred, crazy, annoying." Laura sighed. "I'm not self-centred am I?" Laura didn't think she was. "I try and put my mind too it but then I see people having fun and I decided that I must join in." Laura said truthfully. "And don't worry Sis this term you will see a completely different Laura." Laura was being truthful there. "Mummy and Daddy are always there for us." Laura nodded, she loved all her family dearly.
Laura quickly went into her bag and took out a journal she had brought in the summer, I was going to give you this on our birthday but I think the time is right now." Laura handed over the book to Lana. "I don't know if I will see you on our birthday, were all to busy." Laura really was sad they would be 14 in December. "I know now that you love to read and I can see why, I have been doing a bit of reading in the common room lately and it's all very interesting stuff."
Laura bounced up and down. "Yeah we could practice together in the summer." Laura was sure her parents wouldn't mind. "I'm sure mummy and daddy wouldn't mind and maybe they would help us improve our Quidditch skills." That would be just like the old days when they all did something together.
Presley refrained from rolling her eyes, remembering that she had come to Gwen and asked for help. "My father thinks that all of the activity going on at Hogwarts distracts me from my studies." It was stupid of him. Because a bored Presley could not learn. And she certainly could be bored easily in Beauxbatons.
Gwen seemed like she was half asking for information, and most of it Presley was willing to give her, but she wasn't going to broadcast her argument with Elliot to the whole school. Things like that changed as they were told, and soon the story would be that Elliot tried to make Presley come to her manor where they house a giant troll who ate everyone who wasn't a Morganzo. No, that story was going to stay between her, Elliot, and the very few who had witnessed the altercation.
Though not exactly Presley's idea of 'sympathetic' she was grateful to Gwen for her attempt. "Thanks, Gwen." she sighed. Practice more. It seemed like all Presley had been doing was to practice. But maybe she just needed to forget this whole thing with her father and with Elliot, and throw the worry time into more and more practice. She would get them down in no time. "I really appreciate it. I'll leave you to your potions now," she smiled. Gwen was probably annoyed at Pres forinterrupting her in the first place.
Well… it was true. A lot of things had happened at Hogwarts in the past years. But that didn’t mean Beauxbatons was a better choice. From what her best friend had told her, the other school seemed rather pompous and boring. Since Presley didn’t take the time to talk about it anymore, Gwendolyn didn’t say anything. She had expected the other Ravenclaw to tell her what happened with Elliot… but nothing like that happened. No. Presley was very quiet now.
This was one thing Gwen couldn’t understand. Presley came here because she wanted someone to be sympathetic. How could Gwen be sympathetic if she didn’t even know the problem, nor did Presley tell her the whole story. Well… it was true, the fifth year didn’t care much for long stories, not even short conversations if she disliked the person… but now… Gwendolyn couldn’t help but feel a bit useless for not doing anything to cheer Presley up.
Oh well.
’If you need any help with the spells…’, the fifth year heard herself saying. She herself still needed to practice, because she managed to cast only a few non-verbal spells so far, but mehh. This was probably the right thing to do. So she offered to help.
When she heard Presley thank her, the fifth year just raised an eyebrow at her fellow housemate. What for? She hadn’t done anything. ‘Alright’, she mumbled, glimpsing back at her potions book.

They were still working on a plan to smuggle her into the Gryffindor common room- it wouldn't be too hard, a quick change of robes and Lex knew the password... Ahh, simples.
"Oh, I don't think I ever introduced myself, I'm Serenity Wheeler, or Seri." but NOT Reni, she added in her head. She thought, amusedly, of the drama in the common room with her BFF Rora... Ahh, how Rora... disliked her? It didn't matter, she was being called Rora FOREVER. Well, she was fine, Kennedy liked her. And he was Head Boy. So yeah.
She actually already knew the other girl's name; it was Gwen, cause another girl seemed to have called her that..
But back to the firstie.
‘I figured as much’, the fifth year said, after having heard the girl’s comment about being a Slytherin. ‘Anyways, congratulations’, she finished saying. Hmm. This made her remember the time when she was a firstie… when she was thinking she would end up being a Slytherin too. Hmm. ‘You don’t seem very… thrilled about it’, the fifth year pointed out. The sentiment would soon change. Gwen should know.
Serenity Wheeler. After making a mental note of the girl’s name, the Ravenclaw extended her hand. ‘Gwen Greene’, she introduced herself as well, even though the other girl had probably figured out her name so far. Well… it was still polite to introduce herself. Eh.

Seri raised an eyebrow at her congratulations. From what she had heard, Slytherins took no prisoners, with paticular emphasis on the other houses. Not that even she herself had a sharp tongue. She shrugged, knowing there was nothing that could be done now, she would be a Slytherin for life... She was soon raising her eyebrows for a second time, "Why would I be? No-one needs to point-out that about half of the Slytherin population ate completly and utterly miserable beings." She sighed, as to her, this was true. Rora and Ariana and West and Theo and that lot... Seri rolled her eyes.
"Oh, I already knew that," Seri said knowingly and cleverly. Yeeeeah, she already knew. Only because of that other kid and stuff. Though she hadn't known her last name. Now, what year was she? She looked her up and down, but Seri didn't have an great ideas as to where she firted on the Hogwarts family tree. She had a terrible sense of age, despite having three brothers, they all seemed just about the same to her. She gave up, frowning, "So, what year are you?" Seri thought about asking if she'd had a good day, but she knew that so far, today had been totally and completly boring. Yep.

Lana didn't think she could be related to someone that was all those things. "Well, the crazy part I could live with, but the whole annoying and self-centred thing would not do." she added. If people thought Laura was self-centred, Lana wondered what they thought of the people around here that were really self-centred. "You are just as self-centred as any other 13 yr old witch around here." Seriously, there were probably firsties around that were more self-absorbed than her twin. "You do know that you can still have fun and be smart." It was possible, Lana had been able to do it on occasion.
Lana smiled brightly as she took journal. "I love it," she beamed as she hugged her twin again. "I've been thinking about getting a new one too. You are too good to me sometimes." They still had a few months before their birthday and Lana felt honoured that Laura had thought that far ahead. "I'll have to come and find you to give you your gift. We will have to make a promise to see each other!" December would be upon them in no time, but they would just have to make the time to see each other. "Reading is fun!" she laughed. "Told you, you would like it if you gave it a try." Lana had been telling her sister for years how it wasn't as terrible as some of the neighbour kids said it was.
Lana laughed a little at how excited her sister was. "I'll write daddy and ask them about it," she replied. They were due to owl their parents soon anyway.

Upset--no furious, THAT was the only way to describe the 11 year who had only recently begun pacing the corridor.
Luckily she was on the outside of the castle...very far away from anything she could possible get her hands on and break. Every few seconds her fingers twitched, itching to grab at something. This was a tell-tale sign that a tantrum wasn't very far behind. Merlin she hadn't had one of those in months! Before she got here she was finding that there was less and less need for those but now, oh now she just wanted to scream and break things and hit stuff; anything to relieve the tension that was building up.
Why were older kids so stupid and Professors so mean?! See, this was why she went around causing mischief. They deserved it for one reason or another. This was also why she didn't like anyone older than 11--with a few exceptions of course.

Funny how everytime Vivi spotted the little Gryffindor shrimp, the girl looked like she was UP to something. Currently, she looked like she was about to explode like Vesuvius... and Merlin help anyone who got in the way.
"I'm putting you in the lake if you get much redder, Short Stuff. I'm afraid your head will burst into flames." Vivi paused a few feet away from the girl and raised an eyebrow. "And hello."

WHY was she hearing foosteps?! Hadn't she chosen a nice empty, spot where no one could annoy her even more?! Didn't people know when to stay away???
Her pacing stopped immediately when she heard a very nice voice--nice because she was hoping she would run into her. Turning to look at her she couldn't help the scowl that had taken residence on her face from the moment she left that office. "But then...if you put out the nice flames how will I get to use them?" Unless of course the girl was up for conjuring more fire later.
"And hello to you too." As angry as she was she still needed to be nice to one of the only older people she still liked. "You wouldn't ever raise a wand at me, would you?" STARE.

"I would if you were on fire. Or if you raised yours on me first. Or... if someone behind you was dangling a large poisonous spider over your head and I had to hex past you in a hurry. So... I guess I would raise a wand at you." But not like... to hex Lex. Hehe. Rhyming.

She had skills.
"Did someone threaten you?"
STARE some more.
Well....that sounded reasonable...sort of. At least she agreed that she would never intentionally raise her want with the intention to hurt, or as the case more often was, annoy her. She nodded slowly, still trying to convince herself that even though the girl said yes it was the right answer.
Pssh! "I wish she had threatened me!" It would have been better than yet another person throwing spells at her. "Everyone just thinks it's so fun to throw spells at me like I'm some kind of bloody target--I swear if someone else silences me I'm gonna break their wand." And yes, she meant that. -____-

"Who's... everyone?" Vivi leaned against the wall and stretched one foot out in front of her, giving her shoe a study. Scuffed up, they were. That was just... a shame. She'd liked these shoes.

"And what makes you think you didn't deserve it?"
"You know. Everyone. Like Professor Scabior, some Ravenclaw girl, Professor Bellaire and more recently a girl that won't leave me and Seri alooone!" She finished with the same annoyed look she had had early. Just remembering all those times got her blood boiling at the nerve of them! How dare they use spells on her, especially when she didn't know any and couldn't return the favour?!
LE GASP!
Lex's mouth flew open in utter shock and there was a tinge of betrayal marked in her expression. "You too?! Granted I might have deserved Professor Scabior silencing me--might-- but I'm sure the others were unwarranted!!!" Which was pretty true. People just seemed so eager to raise their wands at this place!
