Front of the train getting full? No worries, there's plenty of room in the back cars. Mind your step and take small children by the hand. Kiss your Ma and your Pa, get the last jab in at your younger siblings, but don't dally!
The Hogwarts Express will be pulling out soon, headed to Hogwarts for another magical year. You may RP your character boarding the train here, saying their goodbyes, and meeting new Hogwarts students.

'August fifteenth.' Ari nodded at the birthday question. 'Why?' As in, why did someone she hadn't met before today know that her birthday had been recently? Sneaky Slytherins.
'It is an important year, yeah. But I'm trying not to worry yet. There's always time to panic next spring.' Especially right before exams. 'But it's an important year for you too. To demonstrate that you're not a firstie anymore.' Ari winked.
Wow! What a reaction. 'You don't have to thank me. He'll love it. I'm only afraid that he'll become a spoilt cat.' If he wasn't one already. Normal enough, hmmm? She'll have to see that for herself.
The train was about to leave. Time had passed by really quickly with Cassia around. 'Thanks for keeping me company. I would've gotten bored otherwise.' she smiled at the younger girl. 'Ready to go aboard?'And face the crowds?
So it was indeed Ari whom Gwen was buying a gift for her birthday. But Cassia must not say anything about the matter. Cassia had spilled enough secrets in her life not deliberately to know now that it only brought problems and misunderstanding. So the truth must be untold for good causes. "Erm...we were talking birthdays and Gwe mentioned that her best friend's is near," Cassia said shrugging hoping that Ari will buy the story. Talking birthdays! Well, that was the best she could think of. At least her tongue didn't betray her and spill the truth.
Cassia beamed at Ari, "It is really an important year to me too!" She agreed. Second year sounded so much cooler than fist year. And Cassia actually liked even numbers more the odd ones. Oh and about the cat, "We'll both love it. Oh and he deserve to be spoiled," Cassia said. All cats are cute and adorable to be spoilt ,the twelve year old thought.
Glancing at the train and seeing that students already started getting on it," No problem and thank you too," Cassia said to Ari. It didn't bother Cassia at all keeping people company especially that it involved her talking. "I'm surely ready!" Cassia said excitedly. "So I'll see you soon," She said to Ari before reaching for her trolley.

He opened his eyes. There in front of him was a great scarlet steam engine. The Hogwarts Express. This confirmed that he was finally going. He looked up at the older girl, the Prefect, and smiled widely. "Thanks for everything!"
Then he followed her instructions and went to board the train, leaving her to take care of her duties.

"Not a problem. I'm starting to see why this school needs a healer. I'm Jacen Tillstorm, might want to wear less lethal shoes on the first day."
*He smirked over at the girl and waited for her to take the book.*
Well look at that, the boy could be nice. Maybe having him at Hogwarts won't be so terrible.

Cece smiled at the girl. "There's really nothing to be scared of. They're all just a bunch of kids trying to het back to school just like you." Speaking of...
"Looks like it's time to get on the train," she said looking towards Jacen. "I believe the back would be the perfect place to be." Meaning that's where they were going.

HEY! DID ANYONE NOTICE?! Lottie was still paying attention to Vickers! No distractions, no 'oh-thats-not-interesting' comments, no boring moments. And she even got an almost-kiss on the hand. This was...weird. And she still hadn't noticed. Her blue eyes kept scanning his eyes as he talked. THIS is as much attention as you can get from her. Also, she took notice in the odd accent. He wasn't from England, was he?
Then Lottie nodded, "So I've heard," she said, with a smile. She wasn't the one who read the papers, but words tended to get to her ears, you know? Especially since most of the family worked in the Ministry. News were around 24/7. Annoying, but surely helpful in the future. Oh. Changes. "Some changes are wonderful," like this one. This was a very welcoming change, her going to Hogwarts. "Maybe I agree." She beamed next.
ARR YOU SERIOUS? "Of course!" the excitement was back, she didn't bother suppressing it at all this time, "I'll try to wave...," the poor Squid probably got too lonely down there. "...your accent's different." She randomly pointed out. Did you think she was going to keep on talking about the Giant Squid?
Lottie was an attentive, happy child from what Vickers could gather, and well informed to boot. He was starting to have a particular affinity to this little one, and her excitement was starting to infect him, pushing out that dull dread of his last train to Hogwarts.
Wait now she noticed his accent? His brows goes up as a slow smile tugs at his lips "That's right....I'm American-- from New York-- thats way across on the other side of the Atlantic." he explained to the precocious Firstie. Not many spoke to him about that, perhaps because he spoke rarely to others outside of classes, and almost always to those who knew his background already or those smart enough to figure out that he wasnt "home grown". To those who didnt know him, it was easy to assume that Vickers was just some regular British bloke, which likely happens more often than he would ever know. As for the little girl? "And you're a proper young English girl..... grew up in or around London perhaps?" she had that intonation that was bespoke of those from the capital.
Just as his words left his lips the train gave off the warning whistle that it was set to depart "Well, thats our cue to get on board." he said as he nudged his trolley forward then extended his arm, gesturing to Lottie to start wheeling her trolley towards the luggage cars.

After the fiasco that had happened on the North end, Kurumi was glad to arrive at the South end while doing her rounds and finding it to be quiet. Then again, ANYTHING seemed quiet compared to first years and their pets climbing the train and giving lip when it was certainly not appreciated. Couldn't anything go right her final term at Hogwarts? No? Alright then...
Sitting down on one of the benches lining the platform, Kurumi heard a crunching noise under her weight and she looked down to see a slightly crumbled up copy of the Daily Prophet. She hadn't read one of those since, well, since the end of last term - not really being in any place where they were easily accessible - and she didn't have to flip too far through the pages to see something that made her eyes widen.
"Visitors...on the train?"
Ug...and with THOSE first years running around this was bound to spell disaster.
Elijah spotted her a mile off as she made her way down to his end of the platform: Kurumi Hollingberry. As well as trying to keep his nose out of things that didn't concern him, he was also going to be attempting to stop chasing after Kurumi this term. It had long been revealed to him about her boyfriend and whilst she obviously fancied Elijah rotten, it was also quite obvious that she wasn't intending on leaving Lewis anytime soon and Elijah didn't waste his time on people who weren't aware of what they were missing.
As she sat on the bench and picked up the Prophet, Elijah began walking toward her with NO intentions to flirt. Nope. He was simply going over to say hi, but then she muttered something that was probably for nobodies ears in particular. "Yeah, I read that too. I think the Governors must want to check that the school is falling proper health and safety standards considering all that had happened last term," Elijah responded to her rhetorical musings.
"How're you Kurumi? Did you have a nice summer?" he didn't get a chance to find out, however, as the whistle on the train blew to indicate that they better get on soon or they'd be left behind. "C'mon, you can tell me on the Express," he nodded his head toward the scarlet train and made his way on board.

Beth and her parents moved towards the Hogwarts Express. Her father was the one to go over the list of things she needed to make sure to do: stay out of trouble, keep up with assignments, and for heaven's sake write home every so often! When it came down to it, Beth would always be daddy's little girl. She would never deny her muggleborn father's heritage.
"Mind your teachers," her mother told her. Her tone said that she wanted to be stern, but the moment was too much. Her baby girl was going to start her first year at Hogwarts. It was a big moment. Just as big as her first displays of magic.
Beth rolled her eyes, "You said all this in the car." She was putting on a brave front, but she was going to miss her parents. She'd most likely write home every week. She gave both of her parents a tearful hugs before hopping up onto the train. It was going to be difficult at first, this would be her first time away from home.
"Miss you, Mum, Daddy."
"We'll miss you too, baby girl," her mother replied.
Beth hurried through the train so she could find a compartment so she could wave goodbye to her parents when the train left.
Before she could even pick up her book the boy beat her to it as she watched the two interact. "strange.. they must be related" she thought. The boy gave her the book back. "Thank you." she said while trying to hide her eyes.
"I'm Zarifa Rose, night to meet you... and umm about the heels, sorry don't wear anything else. "I make them all" the last words were just mumbles but no one really thought her hobby was cool. "Thank you again for the book"
Zarifa turned to the lady with him. "Thank you for understanding, its quite scary here by myself and being as its my first time its quite a lot... to take in.."
"Wait... You make shoes?"
*Jacen smirked a little at that. It sounded kind of funny to him but everyone had a hobbie right?*
"So like a... Cobbler?"
*Seeing the slightly shocked look on his cousins face Jacen frowned. He wasn't a complete git. He had a few manners. Normally if Jacen was a train riding person he would sit in the back. But now it was the last place he wanted to go. Why? Because Cece was making him sit there.*
"Yay... The back."

Excellent hearing. That was all. That was the reason she was able to notice the small traces of a different accent.
Ooooh! American?! Why was he coming to Hogwarts, then? It seemed this little eleven year-old didn't know all the answers, yeah? But, seriously, how...exotic. New York. Don't they have an accent of their own too? "Oh, wow." Yeah, we know where New York is. Sadly, Lottie's never been across the pond.
Oh, Merlin! She was giggling now. Like, again! She didn't know she was capable of doing this so effortlessly, and repeatedly. 'Proper', nice wording, Vickers. "I am," she beamed, not at all embarrassed or anything of the like, she was actually looking rather smug, "Born and raised," she nodded. London was her playground, let's see what Hogwarts can become.
AND... it was their cue, indeed. Lottie followed Vickers so she'd be free from carrying her luggage on board and went off to find her dad later on. She'll see Vickers again at the Castle, or the train, wherever.
