The Baron floated over to the Slytherin House table. He cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. The Baron hardly ever spoke, but when he did, EVERYONE listened. "Your Head of House, Professor Hecate Lafay, had to leave the school for a personal issue. But she has asked me to speak to you on her behalf." He took out a piece of parchment and began reading "Slytherin students, I had to leave to pursue a possible cure for my condition and therefor, I have excused myself for the end of term feast. I wish I could have said farewell to my loyal Slytherin seventh years. You have my wishes of good luck towards your futures." He rolled his eyes and continued. "I would like to thank, Prefect Sierra Greingoth, with 942 points placing her as the top earning Slytherin Student for the sixth time in a row, and the second top point earner in the school. Next I wish to thank Miss Katrina Hudson who is in second top scoring Slytherin student with 720 points; Miss Hannah Lockwood who is the third Slytherin top student with 434 points; Miss Cassia Somerlad who is fourth Slytherin top point earner with 344 points, and finally with 316 points, I would like to thank Master Theo Kinsleywho is the fifth top point earner in the Slytherin." At least there were students working for Slytherin's Hour Glass. "I would also like to acknowledge your Slytherin house leaders: The Head Boy, Prefect Kennedy Escalade , Prefect Sierra Greingoth and Captain Dylan Montmorency . Thank you for all you do. To all those returning next term, I am hoping to be back… and I will be sure to make your lives miserable! Sincerely, Potions Mistress Hecate Scarlett Lafay." He then tossed the parchment on the table, and floated back to the dias. Third Place... Really. |
Theo felt a shiver run down his spine when the Bloody Baron floated over to the table. He was scary. Not as scary as some, like Peeves, but he was SCARY. His head remained lower to the table as he began the speech. Until his name was called, that is. He'd scored THAT many points?! The top boy Slytherin? He wasn't sure whether to be embarrassed or proud. His face went a little red, and he buried his head into his dinner again. Bloody ghosts, though. He was just nervous now. |
So the soon-to-be-a-third-year sat there humming and looking around now that Kat changed her seat for a reason that Cassia hadn't understood. Anyway it was maybe a Quidditch-related matter and she was surely not getting in the way of that. Then something drew her attention….A ghost. Cassia had thought that there job had ended this term but apparently not! She braced herself as the bloody baron approached. Well, actually just straightened in her seat nothing much. She nodded hearing about Professor Lafay not being able to be here and so. Well, okay. Then…. Was that her name or another Cassia existed? Nahh…she would've known had another Cassia existed. So that must be her! The still-twelve-years old grinned a phony BIG grin hearing her on name. and she was the fourth. How cool was that. She looked around at her fiends whose names were too mentioned. She would've spoken some words but she was sure that at that moment she could only squeak and she was bracing herself not to bounce up and down. She saw the parchment being thrown at the table and stretched out her arm and snatched it. She just wanted to see her name. with her own eyes! Oh it was hers. Someway to finish a term. Staying alive and being in fourth place. Hurray! |
