The Snakes sit under a bright green and silver banner representing their house. The candles light it up nicely in spite of the gloomy, turbulent skies above.
Anyone want to bond over a shared horrible experience? Lol

Yeah, so Emmanuelle's final year was starting off on a stellar note. Sarcasm intended. After that halting train stop, breaking her nose and having to take a portkey to the Hogsmeade station, she was ready to park her butt at the Slytherin table and enjoy the feast. But as she reached said table, she found that appearently they had to wait for the Headmistress to finish her speech. Just like last term. Could this night get any worse? And then the ceiling decided to answer her by thundering loudly. She sighed and stared at the roof. "Of course it's storming." She had never been a huge fan of the carriages, thinking them out of date, but now she was feeling rather thankful that they were there. Because, without them, they would still be outside walking up to the school in this mess.

When Kat entered the Great Hall, she immediately went to the Slytherin House Table. There were barely people (or was she alone? No.) sitting. But she went to take her usual seat anyway. It felt awkward, honestly, to be alone. This was probably the first time she sat at the Slytherin Table alone. Silence kills.
The fourth year blonde waited patiently for the other Snakes to join in. Patience was a virtue, they say. But she can't deny the fact she was so starved from the long journey here. Where in the name of Merlin are the other Snakes?!

Erin was ready to proceed at her usual seat at the Ravenclaw House Table but a familiar looking face she haven't talk in ages, the one she missed so much, Katrina Hudson was sitting alone at her house table. Though she knew the girl was in Hogwarts all the time, same goes for Cass, there wasn't too many days that she's free to roam around and look for her friends. For almost the whole time last term, she was into her books and homeworks and Potions and History of Magic and Arithmancy.
But now, she could talk to her, right? And she won't missed it for the world. "Kaaaat!" Erin greeted the girl. She missed her. For an instant, she hugged Katrina so tight. "How are you?" That meant, got some injury from the Portkey landing? Hehe.

Kat was still lonely. Why, oh why are those other Snakes so slow?! She's not being mean, but seriously... WHO ISN'T STARVING?!?!?!?!??! Oh my god can everyone just hurry up?! Before she could get in deeper to her thoughts, someone had called her name and hugged her veeeeeeery tight.
"Ooogh," Kat said. She looked around and saw the person hugging her. With black hair and Korean-ish eyes, she knew who this was. A smile instantly grew on her face. "Eriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!" she squealed and hugged her Ravenclaw friend as well.
How was Kat? Ok. "I'm fine, she said after releasing the hug that could break your bones and everything "But I'm hungry!" VERY. HUNGRY.

The moment Kat knew who the girl hugging her was, she also hugged back. Ah. Good times. It was like first year all over again. All she needed was Beezus, Harvey, Minerva and Cass. She couldn't believe fourth year is coming to town. "No squealing Tuttie!" Oh my gosh! She missed calling Kat that name. One they formulated years ago. They were vain, yeah, they were. "We're teeners now!" she strutted her body. She was so ready to strike a pose with her Tuttie. If only she had her camera, but it was in her trunk which probably was at the dorms right now.
Hungry? Oh. Super Erin is here.
"I've got chocolate frogs here," she uttered while looking for it from her small purse. She looked around at the Snake's den. The area's clear for now. There were no Gary or Mordred. She could sit right, even for just a few seconds? Minutes? And hour perhaps? Hehe.
Of course it was in her last year that the stupid train would stop halfway to Hogwarts and force them all to travel by portkey.
Of course.
It was enough to make anyone irritable, or maybe it was just her? But then again, it was her last term and she didn't want to spend it in an endless spiral of irritated hate. She wanted to at least enjoy her last term as a Hogwarts student.
So, with that resolution, the blonde, already decked into her newly bought school robes, walked into the brightly lit great hall and grimaced at the small number of Slytherins there.

Spotting Kat a distance away, Cass sighed in relief as she made her way towards the younger blonde, thankful that she at least wouldn't be alone. She and silence, they don't really get along very well.
And just as she was a few steps away, another girl joined Kat, and just as Cass had been about to turn away - after all, she didn't want to be rude - the blonde recognized the young eagle that just barged towards their table and smiled.
"Hey Kat, Hey Erin." The seventh year said when she was within speaking distance before taking a seat on the bench across from the two younger girls. "Mind if I join you?"
------------- This one's for Laura.
Just as she sat down, the girl looked around the spacious grand hall to look for any familiar faces. She was already missing her friends. Badly.
Brunette...Red head, was that pink hair?! Black hair..
But no blondes.
"What is taking Fee sooooooo long?" Cass asked out loud as she crossed her arms over her chest. Pouting at the apparent absence of her glittery blonde bestie.

Kat pouted. "Oh fine," Kat said. "But it doesn't hurt to be a kid once and a while. Ha ha." Well, it's true. Everyone's a kid at heart no matter what.
"Ohhh... striking a pose?" Kat winked. "Don't worry, I'm vain as well. Ha ha." Kat nodded. VAIN KATRINA. OH SPLENDID.
"Oooohh," Kat's eyes widened. She has FOOD. Thank you Merlin. But Kat blushed. "Eerr... can I ask for some?" Patience is a pain once you're hungry, but she can't just force Erin to give her food right? Ha ha. She's got manners. Pssssh.

FINALLY!
After the long journey to Hogwarts, finally he was here now! It was weird since the train stopped suddenly and they continued the journey by portkey. Gary was exhausted, if he could it would be better if he skipped the feast and sleep at the common room. But the blonde guy decided to join the fellow Slytherin at the feast. After he changed his cloth into the uniform, he walked to the Slytherin table.
Sigh.
He couldn't believe that he was a sixth year student now. It did mean that one more year at school and one step closer to face the future. Sigh, what future? Gary still didn't know what would he do after graduated from Hogwarts. He used to want to be a professional Quidditch player before, but since the accident he didn't think that he could play Quidditch anymore. He was only passionate with photography right now. Well, maybe he would discover it later, right?
He spotted some girls at the table, one of them was.. Erin, the girl who had snapped him before. He was too lazy to socialize with girls right now. So the blonde guy just sat far from them. Waiting for the food, he was bored and hungry too. Then he took an apple from his bag and started biting it.

While Erin and Kat were talking, another Snake had joined in. Kat turned around to see Cass standing in front of them. "Oh, hi Cass," Kat replied with a smile.
"No, no." Kat raised a hand and shook her head. "It's fine, you can join us." Kat reassured the Seventh year with a smile and a nod.
"Thanks!" The girl said with a smile as she made herself comfy on the wooden bench. Or at least as comfy as you could get on a wooden bench.
Which isn't much really...
"Sooooo..." The girl asked after letting a loud round of applause pass for a student that has just been sorted, although, she couldn't possibly care where they ended up. Except maybe if it was in Slytherin "How was your summer?"

Looking away from the old stool at the front of the great hall as another girl was sorted into Gryffindor, Cass eyed the guy who was on a spot on the bench nearby, sitting alone.
"Hi there!" The blonde said with a smile as she scooted over to him, hoping that he doesn't ignore her "I don't think I've ever talked to you before..." She then held out her hand and said "I'm Cass by the way."

And finally the bizarre trip had ended! Not that Cassia didn't like the train or anything, she did. But she didn't enjoy the sudden stop and having to take a portkey and that turn of events. Probably because she was planning on starting to act like a big second year and that was kinda ruined when she freaked out when the train's lights went out. Though she contained her fear and didn't cry, squeak or freeze. Which was really an achievement. She was proud of herself.
And all the uneasiness she had felt earlier subsided the moment she entered the great hall. She stood taking in the scene she had been waiting so much for. Finally! Cassia walked towards the Slytherin table smiling. Usually her smile is bigger but she was actually tired having carried her owl's cage and trunk for quite a long distance. Once she got to the Slytherin table, she slumped down the first available seat she spotted. She inhaled a deep breath . Resting her elbows on the table ,Cassia sighed watching students taking their seats and some walking between tables looking for their friends. She enjoyed watching the firsties who were obvious by the clueless and lost expressions on their faces.
Only last year it was her who felt tensed and confused. Her grin automatically widened remembering her first days at the castle. Not that she was now much older. You wouldn't notice that she change unless you measure her height and compare it to last year. However, deep inside she felt that she was older and wiser….Eh the latter is just an illusion though.

She sighed loudly because she got bored! The second year hadn't been waiting for the term to start to sit alone! She looked around her and noticed that the closest person sitting near her was an older boy. And he was eating an apple. The curious girl scooted closer to him and said suddenly, "Why are you eating an apple?" Eh..probably not a sentence to start a conversation with, "Erm..I mean Hi!" She said grinning.

Just before Erin could suit herself for a sit, another girl, a familiar voice surrounded both her and Katrina. It was a sweet voice she missed so much. Cassandra Prewett. The seventh year Cassandra Prewett!
She was in the mood for some hugging and she wouldn't missed hugging Cass of course. She was a big sister. The sweetest, perhaps? The sweetest Slytherin? Well, that goes for her and Kat. Erin moved towards the older girl and hugged her as tight as she did with Kat. "How are youuu?!" That was a rhetorical question of course but she wanted to greet her that way. "I've missed you so much. And have you grown a few inches?" It felt like Erin wasn't growing. Merlin, she was a fourth year. Hehe.

That's why they were friends. Vain-ness should be spread. She just couldn't understand why Beezus couldn't be as vain as she was. And she was very hopeful about that.
And finally, found it. "Here," Erin handed Katrina some. "You know Tuttie," she smiled. "The new Headmistress," she seated beside Kat, eyes peeled at the staff table. "Train breakage. I wonder." Then again, doubts about staff members surrounded Erin's mind. It was just sad she hadn't had that much time for Murdoch mission last term. But Gunter and Erin were so much in for that.
She watched Cass talked to the Slytherin guy near their chair. And the Slytherin guy was the rude Gary Rush. Well, they were in good terms now, somehow but she still couldn't understand why she still feels hatred over him. Maybe, she still needed some time. Yeah. Time. As she caught Gary's eyes, she smiled at him.

Fee made her way to the Slytherin house table, man she was reallllyyy craving some food. Hopefully the headmistresses speech wouldnt take too long today. But then again it was sooo cute seeing all these firsties being afraid of what house they would get in to and sitting in front of all the other students. Oh how she would miss that next year. Everything was in such a rush, or at least it felt like it was.
As the seventh year got closer she was looking for familiar faces.Oh come on,she was already later, there had to be at least some of her friends. How boring would it be if not. There was nothing better than gossip while having a decent meal.
Just about to sit down at a random free spot, the girl spotted her best friend sitting there looking around like she did. Sighing in relief the blonde walked a bit faster, her heels clicking on the floor."Hellloooo there gorgeous", she smiled plopping down next to Cass.

Fee had just plopped down on that free spot sighing at the fact that the speech would take so long again and she was sooooo hungry as the blonde heard a girl sighing next to her. She didnt seem to be too pleased.Looking up, the seventh year probably found the reason for the other ones down low."Not the most beautiful ceiling to start the year, is it", she chuckled a bit,"but at least we are inside and there is food."
The girl seemed to be her age, how weird that they had never met before. After all this years! It always amazed Fee how there were so many Slytherins she didnt know, even after seven years and all the hours spent in the common room. It was always exciting to get to know new people. Oh how she would miss all of this, the feast, the people, yes even the teachers. Where did the time go?!

SLYTHERIN. Juliet is sorted in Slytherin.
Her heart is still beating so fast whether or not she looked calm. She skipped to the slytherin table and saw most of the students getting ready for the feast. The words that the sorting hat had said to her earlier was still echoing through her ears. She's so happy right now. She needed to dance... not that she would in the middle of the crowd. That would just be embarrassing. Definitely not.
Sitting on one corner, she saw Erin. She's talking to a couple of Slytherins. Erin right? Ohhhh!!!! She saw her in her blue uniform "Erin..." waving her hand at the girl "You're a Ravenclaw" because Erin didn't mention about her being a Ravenclaw right, yes? All she knew was that she was from Hogwarts back then when they met.
Then looking to her side is another person she recently knew, Cassia. Juliet already knew the second year is in slytherin. She did say so herself back in the train. Waving her hand to Cassia, "I'm in Slytherin too" cue more grinning.

Listening to the loud claps and cheering from the Slytherin table as another student was sorted into their house, she saw a young lady, her age, going towards her seat. It was definitely the sweet girl from the candy shop, well, because she likes sweets. "Juliet!" she squealed.
Ravenclaw? Oh, she hadn't mentioned. "Yes, I am," she smiled. Now, more Slytherins are coming in, mingling with their fellow Slytherins. Maybe, this wasn't the place Erin should be staying. After all, Kat and Cass were the only reason she was here. "And you're sorted as a Snake. Congratulations girl," she smiled towards her friend. "So, are you okay from the landing?" The school should have a Portkey landing subject for first years starting this year. Hehe.

And so she's right... her name is Erin. She only met a few people over the summer so surely it would have sucked if she can't remember her name. Plus, she knew her well because of the brownies. The Ravenclaw had a knack for chocolates and sweet things.
Hearing as she remembers her too, Juliet grinned some more. And then came the congratulations "Well, I sort of expected it already" she giggled. It's true, the only thing that was nervous about was the fact that she'll be sorted into a different house... that will be a first in their tradition. "Most of my family are Snakes" and Erin knew her cousin right?
are you okay from the landing?
The portkey manage to bruise her knee, so her eyes quickly glanced over to the bandage on her knee and then looked back at Erin "I'm fine, I guess" the bruise wasn't something really serious but it did sting on their ride to Hogwarts. It's bearable though, nothing to be really alarmed about. "How about you?"

After he had entered the Great Hall and had left Juliet with the other students that needed to be sorted , he moved to the Slytherin table. The school year had not even started officially and everything was a mess already. Train stopping, portkeys, injured students... yup he was home!
His eyes glanced over to the staff table for a moment to see a woman sitting in Tate's chair . It was an odd sight and he wondered how the new headmistress would be like. He then looked back at his empty plate and his stomach began to growl.
Faye nearly crawled off the train. That was horrible. She was terrified that entire ride. She hated, no wonder she didn't want to go to Hogwarts. This was dumb! And then they wanted her to go across the lake in a little boat? What kind of school was this!!!!!
When she finally made it to the school and was sorted into Slytherin she had already decided she wanted to leave. Goodness, this was not how school was suppose to be. Faye took her seat at the Slytherin House Table and looked around for Arianna, the girl she met on the bus, and the girl who kept her calm when the lights when out.
She pulled some pudding close to her and began to nibble on some chocolate. She needed to relax, the lights were burning bright and fine here. At least for now.

Am I the only boy in this table?
Suddenly he thought. Because all of the Slytherin that he saw were girls. Heck. Biting his apple, he was waiting for the others. Perhaps Mordred would be here soon. He got closer to that guy since they revealed the Amarantha case and he wondered what happened to the shopkeeper now. Or maybe the blonde guy could see.. Zhenya. It would be slightly impossible since Dimitri said that she might be not to come back to Hogwarts due to her personal reason.

While he was casually eating apple, suddenly a girl said something to him. She looked a bit older than him. Actually he wasn't in a good mood to talk with anyone since he was too tired because of the journey. But ignoring her was impolite, and Gary remembered about the things what made him and Tiffany argue each other before. His attitude.
The blonde guy just gave her a tiny smile. "I'm Gary." said him short.

Why are you eating an apple?
He frowned slightly at the younger girl. And why she did want to know that, huh? She looked very... curious about the apple? Oh, maybe she wanted one. But he just have one left.. which would be a spare one for himself if he wanted to eat something but the food hadn't arrived yet. "Because I'm hungry." said him short. "and Hi too."

As she caught Gary's eyes, she smiled at him.
Noticing that the only girl who had Ravenclaw crest on her chest was smiling, Gary didn't say anything but just smiled to her. Maybe she still didn't believe about what he had said at the train about Raven. Zhenya, I wish you were here to explain about your friend. He whispered to himself.

As she sat there ,she spotted a familiar face. "Juliet!" She called out to the girls waving back at her. Cassia's excitement was refilled right away. Juliet was sorted in Slytherin just like the girl thought she would. "Welcome to Slytherin!" Cassia said cheerfully. "The coolest house," Cassia winked at the girl. It is the first time Cassia welcomed someone to Slytherin and she felt great about doing it! She wondered where the firsties she had met earlier got sorted in. She'd find out soon.
"So did you enjoy the trip here?" Cassia asked elbowing her. She didn't see how Juliet dealt with the situation because Cassia had left for the food trolley when it happened. Cassia actually appreciated that she wasn't around much people when it happened because she kinda freaked out. And that would have ruined all her attempts to look like a grown up second year. Though she wasn't sure if that succeeded so far.
"I wonder what caused that," Cassia said. She glanced at the staff table and saw that a few professors had gathered. She didn't recognize all of them. Probably there are new ones considering a couple left last term. "I think the new headmistress will mention something at her speech." Cassia shuddered at the mention of the headmistress remembering her encounter with her…which wasn't very delightful.

Cassia arched an eyebrow at the older boy. "The food will come shortly," She said, "You shouldn't spoil your appetite," She said thoughtfully. Not that she was the person to give advices but she was convinced that she now was a big girl. Considering the firstie title no longer applies to her! The boy probably wasn't much into talking but that Cassia doesn't register. The second year just wants to talk! "Bu the way I'm Cassia!" She said cheerfully. So excited she had been about her second year and she was feeling so enthusiastic and excited about the new term. It was probably unfortunate for the boy who seemed to prefer the company of his apple only.

OH. Yeah, she was the cousin. The cousin. Flails. Jonathan Kim's cousin. Too bad, he needed to graduate first before she barges in. Too bad, Erin couldn't be friends with them together. The good thing is, Juliet is now Erin's friend. She's gained a friend. Though. she's a Snake, she couldn't help her but adore the girl. They have quite a lot of similarities after all, from the sweets to the heels.
"Really? In my case, my Daddy's a Snake. My Mom and my sister were both Ravenclaws." She smiled towards the girl, "Come sit?" Only if she wanted to of course.
Eyeing the bandage on Juliet's knee, "Good for you, it's just a bruise," Erin uttered while glancing at the students who's got some fractures from the landing. "I almost didn't let go of the Portkey. I better let my body get some bone breakage than my face down the ground." It's just too precious. Okay, everyone are now allowed to call her vain.
So, there's no foods in her house table maybe just maybe the other table already got some foods, with that Anna took off from her house table to the first table she saw. Its full with students wearing green uniform. Must be Slytherin table. But, unfortunately there's no foods in the Slytherin table. Sigh. Nevertheless, the red hair took a seat on the Slytherin table. Wonder why the sorting hat placed her in Ravenclaw? Green would look good with her hair.

Skipping to one of the seats, Juliet spotted Daichi. The person who is so kind enough to help her with her knee problem earlier. Juliet hasn't still thanked him for that. She smiled and went closer to him, tapping on his shoulder "Daichi, I'm Slytherin" wider smile this time.
Spotting the bandage on her knee, her eyes glanced back to Daichi "Thank you for earlier." she said in her most sincere tone. She did owe him for that. It was a small gesture but it helped her a lot.
Now... Where's the food?!?!?!?!
SPOILER!!: for Cassia

Welcome to Slytherin!
That sounded really amazing to her ears right now. Now she can't wait to owl her father about this magnificent news which he already expects. She wished her parents were here to hear it but they were in France right now. She'll write as soon as she gets to their dorms. "Thank you" she said with a grin planted on her lips. Coolest house indeed.
So did you enjoy the trip here?
Juliet didn't even care much about what bad luck she had earlier after hearing she is sorted under Slytherin. It didn't matter that the train just out-of-the-blue stopped somewhere near Hogwarts. It didn't matter that she bruised her left knee, that is now all bandaged and ready to disappear, because of the silly portkey. "I guess" she replied. It's still an adventure. It was kind of fun if you think about it now.
As for what the cause is, Juliet shrugged. She has no clue. No idea on what could be the possible reasons behind it.
SPOILER!!: VINE <3

Erin shared to her a little detail about her family. Her dad is a Slytherin while her mother and sister is an Eagle. Awwww. As for Juliet, Slytherin is pretty much the only thing she knows. Sad, but true. She knows basic stuffs about other houses but nothing much like the way she knows about being a Slytherin. This year, she'll learn! She must! When the girl offered the seat, Juliet accepted. It's nice that she's gaining friends.

Juliet blinked and stared at her. "Are you okay now?" gasping and looking at her from top to bottom, worried. Does she need the healer?

Not that Erin knew her family that well. She grew up not knowing any of them but the saying about 'Blood is thicker than water' may be true. It feels like she knew them forever. It felt like, she knew them more than she knew her adoptive family, who she believe all her life was the real one. But that wasn't the point any more. The point is she had a new life, a new family, a new day ahead of her and she should be making the most out of it.
"No. Er, I'm fine. I got some bruises in my arms," she lifted it to show Juliet. "Here, look." They were in bandage now but she seemed to be showing the wound itself. "And my muscles' sort of squashed."
She smiled. the silence seemed to be the cue for Erin to speak up. "I have met this guy, Isaac last term and he told me about portkeys. I guess, the short one-on-one seminar helped me a bit." She needed to thank him for that.

Now... Where's the food?!?!?!?!
Still staring at his plate and hoping that the new headmistress would make her speech soon, he felt a hand tap on his shoulder. Jumping only slightly, Daichi turned to see Juliet.
His cheeks literally flashed a deep red color as she thanked him for helping earlier. He didn't remember the last time anyone had thanked HIM. Most of the times it was Daichi who needed help but it felt good, really good, to be the one getting the compliment for a change....
"It's uhm...It's okay... Everyone would have done it, right?" he mumbled as he continued to blush. Perhaps he was one of those people who were embarressed by it?
Slytherin
Now THIS made him smile. "that is sooooo cool!!" he squealed, getting back to his cheerful self as he stood up and literally hugged the new Snake. "I'm so happy that you are a Slytherin as well! This is so cool!"
Eeeeek! Oh wait, she had a knee injury! Daichi let go of her and staaaared at her bandaged knee. "does it still hurt?"
