If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:
The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are windows and as the common room is located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by. A fire burning hunter green flickers in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.
This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.
On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.
A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.
"Don't be so bloody sarcastic about it." Aurora hissed, glaring at the girl. "One wrong move with a potion and you can be dead." Seething. Yep. Aurora was seething. Why did she care? She had an answer for that. Aurora rolled up her right sleeve and pointed to the medical alert bracelet around her wrist. "Because, believe it or not, I don't want anyone else to have to wear one of these things." And as for the safety freak thing? "I wouldn't talk like that to Professor Lafay's face." she added with a smirk.
Honestly, this girl would learn pretty quickly not to mouth off like that... because Aurora's wand was in her hand in seconds (yes, she'd been practicing the wrist-flicky thing). "You want to lose your eyebrows for being so annoying?" she retorted. Not that Aurora would actually hex the first year... and pretty much everyone who knew her would know she was all threats unless someone really annoyed her... but this kid didn't.
Mmmckaaaaay, apparenty potions was a touchy subject. She would add that to the list of things that annoyed Hogwarts students. She pulled up her sleeve and Serenity had no idea what she was looking at. Though she did find it a bit odd the kid was still wearing some hospital tag thing. Oh right wait? That was what she was pointing to? "Okay! Okay... Sorry." she said sincerely. She knew hospitals and all that weren't very nice. Seriously though, didn't everyone have something wrong with them? "You're not the only one who's been to hospital.." Serenity muttered. Only Serenity wasn't quite so keen to talk about her trip there, nd her problem hadn't even been caused by a potion.
Okay and now she had her wand out. Happy times. No, she did not want to lose her eyebrows, though it'd be a great story... Though she wouldn't tell, she and Lex had a reputation to make. She smiled. She and Lex were gonna be beeeesssst friends forever.

Kennedy stepped through their common room portal with books in his hands. Herbology and dragons, awesome, no? As he walked toward the leather sofa he noticed Aurora...her wand out...and what seemed like a firstie. Was she already threatening someone?
Merlin.
The Head Boy bounded toward the two and plopped himself a few inches away from the firstie. "I do hope you aren't threatening our new students, 'Rora," he said, raising an eyebrow at her then eyeing her wand.

Hospital..? "It's not a hospital tag..." she said, frowning slightly. Had this girl never seen these before? "It's a medical alert bracelet... to warn people you have health stuff if you pass out or whatever..." Yeah, she'd ignored the apology. She was in no mood right now to have to deal with that. Not the only one? "Apparently I'm the only one with lasting effects..." she retorted coldly, eyeing the girls wrists. She had to wear this blasted thing every day in case her lungs decided not to work and she fainted... Urgh.
She'd shut up. Good. "Didn't think so." Aurora said as she lowered her wand and twirled it in the fingers of one hand, her other one scratching Sebastian between the ears. Ach, now she was bored, restless and annoyed. And she was half tempted to start ranting in German just to confuse the girl - it usually made people leave her alone - but she just couldn't be bothered. To be honest, right now she just wanted some painkillers... and to go to bed and cuddle her cat...

Hmmm? Was she? O____o
Aurora looked up as Kennedy spoke to her and raised her eyebrow slightly. "Oh come on, Ken, you know I wouldn't hurt a first year. There's only one person I've actually deliberately hurt in this school and I don't remember you caring about that." Yep, if you use my nickname I'll use yours. Deal with it. "Anyway, I was trying to teach her not to take potions if she didn't know what they were. And she was being sarcastic about it." And Kennedy should know where Aurora stood on that subject. In fact, he should have the same outlook considering... But that's not the point, she put her wand away and held her hands open in front of him. "Happy?" she asked, picking Sebastian up in her arms properly.
But the cat had spotted Kennedy and resisted, hopping down and landing on the boys feet. Because he was wearing SHOELACES. AND SEBASTIAN WAS THE MASTER OF SHOELACES.

Seri caught a much older boy come over. Not that much older than this kid, but even the girl she was talking/argueing with was much older than her. He ha just came in and he held a couple of books on... something? She wasn't big on books, she was no Ravenclaw. Oh but he was probably doing what were they called.. NEWTS or OWLS right?
Serenity clenched her teeth. He had asked 'Rora' so she could talk. She couldn't help notice his shiny badge. Pweeetttyy. Oh, it wasn't just a 'P' like the others she'd seen, it was a 'HB'. Wait? Was he the Head Boy? Yeahhh! Get Rora in trouble. "Are you the Head Boy? Which one is Kennedy because I met his godfather and he has a picture of..." Serenity suddenly placed his face, "Oh! It's you on his wall isn't it? I thought you were only a Prefect! He's very proud of you!" She stopped, cause the godfather had said he was shy. It would be so cool if she knew the Headboy.
Rora too? True she was fine now, blah, blah. Now she was really upset. Not Seri's fault. She wanted to rant about potions? Fine. Nice. Apparently there was some history between Rora and Kennedy. Hehe.
"And, for your information, Rora, I did know what it was, your brother was just being an idiot. I'm bored of all your lectures, apparently THE WHOLE of Slytherin worhips Theo Kinsley!" And it was true. Apparently they did. She had already ha enough of the 'its all your fault' or whatever from Mr Scabior and blah.

Ken?
KEN?!
Kennedy raised his eyebrow at Aurora. She knew not to call him like that and if she was getting him back for calling her 'Rora she sure had no problem with it this summer, but he wouldn't say anything about it now. "M'hm, right," he said, leaning back and setting the books on his lap. He knew she wouldn't hurt a first year, hehe.
Potions? Oh, right. And he couldn't quite disagree with Aurora there. "You could have said that in a calm, collective manner," he shrugged, an amused smirk tugging at his lips. He wasn't exactly going to full on agree with her out loud. When Aurora put her wand away, Kennedy nodded with a smirk. "Very."
Then Sebastian was at his feet and Kennedy grinned at him. The only cat he liked...he didn't even like his this much. Kennedy reached down and patted it's head while moving his foot so Sebastian could play with his shoelaces.
He then looked up when the first year spoke.
O____________O
His godfather had a picture of him at Sugarplums? Since when... Oh, it must of have been that time the man forced a photo from him. Hmm. Kennedy smiled at the girl and extended his hand at her. "Kennedy Escalante, and certainly Head Boy," he said.
Kennedy then sent Aurora an amused stare. He got the firstie to call her 'Rora! HA! Take that! "Well, you should always take potions you trust, not just because you know what they are makes it right." His two cents. Wait...her brother? This firstie met Krys? Whaaaat? Whatever. Kennedy then tilted his head to the side. Slytherin worships Theo? Pfffffft! "Ha! That's funny," he chuckled. Funniest thing he's heard all day, actually.

Ariana was busy chuckling at the arguments when the girl said something about every slytherin worshiping kinsley or something. "Speak for yourself, Not everyone's a fan of him." she said forgetting he was sitting a mere 5 feet away from her
:: Ganymede came in grinning from ear to ear and giggling. She was so happy with the house point situation. It was so funny to her, they were at zero, but winning. How crazy is that? Maybe it was because she was new at the school and how things worked?
She strolled over to an open chair near other Slytherins and even recognized a few. This was going to be like her 'family' for the next seven years. What would that mean? She wondered to herself.
She kicked off her shoes and began to eavesdrop. It was something that was entertaining and since she had no WWN here, it was the best she could do. ::

"Don't call me 'Rora. We're not friends." Aurora said, shooting a glare in the girl's direction. "If you must speak to me, my name is Aurora." Though to be honest Aurora would rather this first year not have to communicate with her.
"Theodore is not an idiot." she retorted. He was just excitable, and that made him fun, not an idiot. "It's more idiotic to take a potion from someone who just offers it to you than to offer it. What if he'd been lying about what it was?"

She smirked back at Kennedy as he raised an eyebrow, "Xavier has a picture of you on his wall?" she said, trying not to outright laugh at that. Though it was funny... so maybe she giggled the tiniest bit. But then the girl called her Rora. You are so dead. she mouthed at him subtly, narrowing her eyes slightly.

:: Slytherin is full of a bunch of.. Ganymede didn't finish the thought. Instead she asked the older girl, "Who is Theo? I keep hearing about him but haven't met the guy. Is he like... your boyfriend?" Ganymede wanted to get under this girls skin. It was entertaining to watch her get angry and Slytherin's perhaps showed thier affection by doing this. ::

Suddenly hearing a bunch of talk about one of his prize players, Dylan looked up and glared at the assembly...or those assemble, rather.
"Yo, don't talk about Kinsley."
Oh, Mr. Head-Boy-Pants.
"Escalante'."
It was his way of greeting to his fellow Slytherin.
Yep...Ignoring the females.

Dropping into a chair by the fire, Isaac massaged his shoulder, it was really sore. First he'd football tackled Ed through the entrance to platform 9 3/4 then had smashed it into the door on the train when it had stopped suddenly. He'd just gritted his teeth throughout everything after and ignored the pain. Both Nell and Amelia had been bad enough then for him to complain about some stupid bruised shoulder. Stretching his arm up and out trying to loosen it up a little, he gritted his teeth again, before just sinking into the chair and letting his thoughts take over.
He wondered where Amelia had gone to, after her ankle had been looked at and the head injury cared for he'd not seen her, and assumed maybe she was just in the girl's dormitories. Looking around he saw Kennedy and Dylan and a few others but really wasn't paying much attention.

After Isaac had gotten her seen too she'd gone to the Girls Dormitory to get changed. Much as she'd loved her outfit this morning by now she'd decided that it wasn't something she'd wear again. Well she'd wear the individual pieces again, but not wear them at the same time. Because that was just asking for bad luck.
Changed into ballet flats, tights a singlet top and an oversized cardigan Amelia made her way down to the Common room, hoping to see Isaac, and sighing in relief when she saw he was sitting near the fire.
"Are you sure you weren't hurt at all?" she asked as she made her way up behind Isaac, having spotted how he was moving his shoulder. To her it seemed that he may have actually done something to it and just been a boy about admitting he was injured. Which wouldn't really surprise her since he'd been all heroic on the station. And he'd carried her. Which if he'd injured his shoulder had probably been a really stupid thing to do.

"Hey!" he said grinning as he saw Amelia enter the room reaching his hand towards her, offering for her to sit on his lap like they'd done a few times if she wished. Quickly moving his shoulder like it was a normal movement and just relaxing it. Wrinkling his nose he realized she'd probably seen him stretching his shoulder when she spoke he shrugged biting back a wince. "Maybe a wee bit."
"I kind of had te force Ed through the 9 3/4 platform, 'cause he was afraid te go through the wall, and was refusing. So I umm...charged him when he wasn' expectin' it and got 'im through." Yep that was part of it, "But being thrown inte the side of the door as the train stopped kind of didn' help either." Yep, there he'd said it he'd gotten just a VERY tiny bit hurt. But hey he'd had worse right? Like when he'd been shove through the middle hoop during last terms first quidditch game. Or when he'd slid across the ice when he'd failed to catch the snitch?
Yep, much worse positions then he was in right then. "I think 'tis jus' bruised is all, with te crashes in the same spot." And carrying them hadn't been an issue whatsoever, he'd not even noticed his shoulder til later.
Faye sucessfully made it to the common room, but only getting lost twice. This whole being a first year and not knowing where she is going was getting old fast. She was crabby and tired now that she had finally found the common room.
Taking a seat in one of the empty chairs around the fire she took and seat and began to look around the common room to see what was all in it. It was great to be able to finally relax and get used to her home away from home.

Smiling warmly at Isaac as he made his non-verbal offer for her to use his lap as a seat, and not that she'd ever admit it out loud but when she was with Isaac her favourite spot would have to be his lap. Sitting down carefully she squirmed around a bit as she attempted to get into the perfect position. The one where she'd be comfortable, but also be able to look at Isaac as she spoke to him. The second being the more important requisite.
Once she stopped moving Amelia looked back up at Isaac, scanning his face to see if he was telling her the truth about his shoulder. Feeling satisfied that he was, or at least what he believed to be the truth she reached out a hand to gently rest on it.
"I could take a look at it if you want? To make sure it is only bruised. Because you could have pulled something," she offered, resisting the urge to just look at it whether Isaac was alright with it or not. Because she wouldn't invade his personal space, well she already had, several times without invitation in fact, but the point being she wasn't going to go pulling his shirt off in the common room so that she could take a look at his shoulder without having permission first.
"And even if it is just bruised you should probably ice it. Or are you meant to use a heat pack? Well either way you should probably do one of those things. Or use a salve.
"Ed? He's the guy with the girl you were helping, right?" Amelia asked, making sure she remembered correctly. Having not heard the name often, and being rubbish with names in any case, Amelia wanted to make sure she was on the right page.

:: Ganymede could tell when she was being ignored. This chick was a bit of a 'psuedocelebrity'.
So, Ganymede slicked her hair back and smiled. "It was awesome how you handled that situation during the Opening Feast. Slytherin never lost any points. You are like a hero." She was going to try being nice and a little flattery.
She nodded at the other Slytherin first year that just walked in. "Oh, Hi Faye. I'm Ganymede." Ganymede winked at her and gave a friendly smile. ::

"Hey Arianna!" Faye said a smile spreading acrossed her face. She was really hoppy to see her actually, it was always nice to see a friendly face. She looked over at her. "I only got lost twice of the way here." She said smiling thinking it was funny.
And then she nocited the other girl, jeepers, she jumped in the conversation like she knew Faye, expect she didn't know her at all.
Grinning as she settled into his lap, he was thrilled that they could feel comfortable doing this. It had taken over a year, but it was nice to be able to relax with his girlfriend in the common room. Adjusting so they were both comfortable enough and able to see each other easily, he relaxed against the back of the chair again.
He nearly winced when she gently rested her hand on his shoulder. But was relieved to see it didn't hurt to the touch. At least not a gentle touch anyway. "How's yer ankle doing? And yer head?" he asked wanting to make sure she was doing better. UGH, what a way to appear at school! Thankfully it was their last year, he didn't want to go through something like that again!
"Do ye think it might look worse then it feels?" he asked curiously. He felt weird about taking his shirt off in the common room. ESPECIALLY with other girls around! "Mebbe I should go te the healer..." He wouldn't mind taking it off to show just Amelia but the entire common room? Oi, no thank you. "A heat pack...sounds nice, but I don' know which ye should use depending on the injury. Ice for a bruise but for a strain I don' know."
Nodding as she asked if Ed was the guy with Nell. "Yep, we met Nell in Flourish and Blotts in Diagon Alley a few weeks ago." A smile appeared on his face "Almost exactly where we met." he said wiggling his eyebrows at Amelia. "She and Ed hit it off right away."

"Hi." was all she simply said to the new comer.
"better than me.. I dont think i even made it to the common room my first night."she smiled. lies, she knew how to get here, it was simple but she had to make the first year feel a little better about getting lost
Fee made her way to the common room. This was amazing, just being back walking the old way. When you were on holiday you never really realized how much you actually missed Hogwarts until it hit you when you entered again for the first time after weeks. Most non Slytherins didnt like the dungeons very much but to Fee it was like home.
As the blonde entered she couldnt help but smile. For once the common room wasnt too croweded.Everyone seemed to be really relaxed and happy, just the way she liked it. Looking around the girl found the empty armchair in the corner across the room.Making her way to it she wondered were Cass or Kennedy were. She hadnt seen Kennedy at the feast either. Mhhh maybe some super fancy prefect duties. Plopping dwon in the armchair Fee crossed her legs and smiled to herself.Welcome home.
Having taken the time to shrug off her heavy outer robes, Cass lounged by the fire in simply her blouse, a loose tie and her skirt as she fought the urge to close her eyes and to simply rest. She was just so tired, with the train incident and the chaos that was annually known as the start of term feast.
Just as she was about to drift off though, she heard someone walked towards the vacant armchair just across her beloved love seat and she cracked her eyes open to see who it was.
"Hey Fee!" the blonde said with a bright smile as she pushed herself up on a sitting position and straightened out her slightly rumpled uniform - she knew she shouldn't have been lazy and just changed into something else the minute she entered the common room! Speaking of changing, the girl glanced at the new outfit that Fee had now donned on and grinned "You sure change fast."

"My head's fine. The cut wasn't that deep, but head wounds always bleed quite a bit," she replied, wincing in memory of the blood that she'd gotten on her clothes from wiping her hands on them. Not her best idea ever. "And my ankle is as good as new. I'll probably be sticking to flats for awhile though," she admitted with a small frown.
While flats were definitely more practical she hated being short. With heels on she could at least seem to be a practical height. Plus, with heels on she didn't have to stand up on her tip-toes, and have Isaac bend down a lot, whenever they kissed. With flats that would be a problem. But at least she'd bought some really cute new ones during the Summer.
"Maybe you should go see her. She'll know what to do. And if it's not just a bruise, well who better to tell then her?" she really was worried now that she knew he'd hurt himself. He should be more careful, she thought as she moved her hand from his shoulder down to his chest, to rest above his heart.
Reminded of the fact that she hadn't seen him ALL Summer, and that part of the blame for that rested squarely on her head, she sighed a little sadly. She knew she should have gone to Diagon to get her books but when her parents had offered to get them when they were passing back through London she'd agreed. If she hadn't of she may have actually got to spend time with Isaac, and with his new friends. She probably would have had fun too.
"Well, Flourish and Blotts is the in place," she said mock seriously before breaking into giggles at his eyebrow waggle. He was too much sometimes, but it was why she loved him. Or at least one of the reasons that contributed to her love for him.
"You were really good on the platform you know? Helping people and all and keeping calm when everyone else was in seeming turmoil. I think you'll be a good auror," she told him honestly, leaning in to give him a gentle kiss.

Nodding, he made a face, "I hope I don' see ye like thet again. Thet was one of the worse things I could haf seen, was ye hurt like thet." Merlin and he'd left her! "And the worst thing I could haf done was leave ye like thet!" Hanging his head, he still was kicking himself for doing that! He knew Nell needed help more desperately but still! He felt miserable for leaving her like that, with her hurt ankle, and then finding out she'd been bleeding besides! ARGHH!
"Well I think ye look lovely no matter what yer wearing on yer feet." he said beaming at her as he lifted his head again. He didn't mind being taller. He was taller then practically everyone in the school at 6'5" tall! He kind of liked being taller then her though, it was nice to have her at the height she was sometimes, that was for sure!
Nodding, he made a face again. "Yeah, I s'pose I should go te the healer. He really didn't like the idea, 'cause he didn't care for healers much, but well, it was that or deal with carrying his bag on the other shoulder for classes and stuff. Which would be awkward considering he'd be using the shoulder he didn't usually carry it on. "Mebbe in the morning." he said nodding again. Yep put it off as long as possible!
Laughing softly he hugged her close. "Well 'tis certainly me favourite spot." Yep, after meeting Amelia there, it certainly was! Grinning he shrugged "I jus' wanted te help."

"Don't worry. You wont see me like that again," she said reassuringly. Because this was their final year, therefore she wouldn't be in any danger of being injured like that on the train again. Unless someone attacked them on the trip home. But that was unlikely. Most strange things tended to happen on the way to Hogwarts. Maybe that was why some parents didn't want their children to come? Meh.
"It's alright that you left me," Amelia lied. She didn't want him to feel bad about it, even if at the time she had wanted to hex him for it. But she wouldn't go around saying that. Which is why she made sure that her voice and the look on her face would be convincing. "Nell looked worse than me. From where I was it was obvious that she couldn't even really stay upright without help and she threw up. Obviously she hit her head hard," and at least that was the truth. The girl did look a lot worse than Amelia had, and she didn't know the extent of the other girls injuries but she could have been in a very bad way. Especially since she was lying on the platform. At least Amelia had been sitting up, and it was her choice to sit down in the first place. Mainly because looking down at her ankle had been making her feel dizzy, and in turn slightly nauseous. But sitting had definitely helped that, and she was sure it had more to do with shock and panic than anything else. Never mind that when she'd gotten up again she'd been unable to stand by herself... All that aside Amelia still hadn't been very impressed with Isaac and his chivalrous tendencies towards the other girl.
Although she didn't mind so much now. She was just put out. That and she knew she had a problem possessive streak, she was just happy that she could control it most of the time. At least in front of Isaac. Since it kinda made her act like a petulant child and that was the last thing she wanted him to see her as.
"Thanks," she said, giving him a happy smile. "But I kinda like higher shoes, even though they are impractical when it comes to school," she finished with a shrug.
"Definitely in the morning. I'll bind you and make you float along behind me if I have too," she threatened. And he should know that she was serious considering his 'initiation' from a few years ago. But even if she just ended up dragging him by the end to the healer she would make sure he saw her. Even if they had both probably sustained worse injuries through playing Quidditch before.
