SOMEHOW West managed to get the mysterious trunk up to the second year dorm. His own trunk was at the end of his bed of course, so West stopped on the very middle of the room and stood back to examine it.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmm how mysterious.

Theo had a handful of gummy worms, and was dramatically pulling their heads off with his teeth. He'd gotten to like 'em ever since Ella had given him a few of hers. Gooood stuff. He strolled to the boys dorms, to stash a few packets of worms in his trunk before some Ravenclaw came and nabbed them.

He suspected that could SO happen one day.

He not long spotted West, him being the only person in the dorms. Of course. The boys dorms were basically West and Theo dorms. In his mind, anyway. "Aren't you gonna open it?" He stood beside his bestie, watching the trunk in the middle of the room.

SNAP, went another wormy head.

Terry got bored of sitting around in the common room where he was barely noticed, most if not all of his friends were in another house and he tended to get a little lonely when he sat in the main space looking out across the lake, hoping to spot the Giant Squid.

He wandered into the second year boys dormitories where he slept and chucked his jacket on the bed. It was reasonably warm in here and he felt like he didn't need any other protection.

There were 2 people already present when he got up the stairs, one he recognised as the superhero guy and the other one he had only really noticed during lessons, despite that they were in the same year. Terry after all usually got to bed with his eyes already half closed and he got up very early in the morning.

"Hi" he grinned at them, joining where they stood. He noticed the case that they were staring at and decided to join them. "What are we staring at?" he asked, referring to whatever was sealed inside the trunk.

West did another circuit of the mysterious trunk before answering either of the other boys, stopping besides Theo and sort of angling himself towards gummy worms automatically. His mouth was ready for one of those.

"I don't know whats in it." He said. "But yeah, gonna open it. Professor Lainey," From the Board of Governors, "Said there was profits inside and that I could have it if I can open it."

And...

West looked up, at this other boy that he didn't really know. "You're new." He said finally. "Who are you?"

And more importantly, could he be trusted?

This trunk was getting more mysterious by the second.

"There's.. profits inside?" Like, money? All for West? But they could totally add that to their imaginary safe of business funds. Theo would persuade him at some point. "How do you open it, though?" Let's get to the real point here.

Theo knew the latest addition to the boys dorms. He couldn't remember his name, but he definitely knew him, so he gave him a nod of a greeting.

"He's okay. I think." Theo informed West. Alls he remembered was that he enjoyed Theo's spiderman plasters. Only a cool type of person could accept THAT much awesome, so yeah.

Terry stood with the other boys and continued looking down at the case intently, it looked.. interesting. At least the other two seemingly thought it did and so he joined in. He wasn't entirely sure who Professor Lainey was, he hadn't really been paying much attention but he understood that perhaps she was one of the Governors who had turned up at the school.

"I'm Terry" he nodded. "Yes. This is my first term here" the twelve year old chuckled.

He turned towards the Superhero guy when they talked about him like he wasn't there. It didn't bother him particularly. "Yeah I am" he agreed with him though he wasn't sure what 'alright' meant. Was it how he was feeling because he was really good. Or was it some sort of secret code between them?

"Can you use that opening charm thing?" he asked in response to spiderman plaster guys question.

"Yeah. Profits." West nodded firmly. "I don't know what, but it came from the train. What's profitable from the train?" He was examining the trunk again when he got the 'he's okay' from Theo. Well that was all it actually took! And the 'Yeah I am' helped as well. West was all for people being honest about being awesome. So he gave Terry a big smile.

"Alohomora, you mean?" He considered it. "Maybe. Sierra made me do that one last year, taught me and stuff. But Theo's better at charms than me."

And would it be so easy as a simple Alohomora?

Yeah.

"And you get to keep it ALL?" He'd basically struck gold there, then? Well, Theo hoped that he'd have a share at least. Sharing is caring, and stuff.

Ummm... He tried not to grin when West complimented his charms skills. "Ohh, you know, it's all cos Professor Bellaire is a good teacher." He commented with an admiration sort of look about him, but then shrugged at the spell that West had mentioned. "I've never heard of Alohomoira in my life." It was obviously an opening charm of some sort.

Shrug. Shrug.

"I'm not doin' it. Terry, you have a go." That would helpppp.

What was profitable from a train? "The engine?" he suggested although he was certain it wouldn't be that, especially as the sudden stop could've been as a result of a faulty engine. "Or it could be a.." he paused. He actually had no idea what it could be; he wasn't completely familiar with the school yet anyway. "Maybe its not an object, maybe its a thing" Like a magical creature but it would be very cruel to keep it in that enclosed space. "What are you going to do with it?" he asked. "Did she want it back or is it all yours?" That wasn't fair, if he got to keep it all. What about aaaaall the other students?

Meh, Terry really needed to learn some of these simple spells so that he could perform and learn them quickly himself. "Yeah! That one" he looked down at the case.

His eyes widened when Theo asked him to perform the spell. “I don't know how to!” He was a brand new student, he had barely learned anything yet. “Maybe we should just force it open?” he tilted his head at it.

It happened so suddenly, and quietly, but it happened all the same: the students who had been hanging out in the Slytherin boys' dorms suddenly found themselves pushed out of their dorms, shoved out of their beds, rolled out of their common room, and generally ejected from their House's private area.

An unseen force repelled all Slytherin students from the Common Room and attached areas and locked all entrances and exits to the rooms. The Common Room was officially locked and sealed.
