Sixth Floor Corridor
 

Nooks and crannies do abound with smells that would confound a hound.

Ariella had gotten bored in the library and decided to go exploring and give those nasty moving stairs a second try and ended up on the....what was it...sixth floor maybe. She walked, or perhaps it was trotted, down the corridor, not really taking notice to anything. In fact, she had been so content with her trot that she barely had enough time to screech to stop so she wouldn't skip over the pair of legs that were laying in her path...

That would have been disasterous. Ari found out that the legs belonged to an older boy who seemed to be sleeping. Upon taking a few step closer to him she noticed that he was soaking wet as well... She leaned over she she was right infront of his face and asked quite loudly, Oi! What are you doing here?"

HE WAS UNDER ATTACK!! SWEET DEAR BABY MERLIN, HE WAS UNDER ATTACK!

Grey orbs snapped open as Tomas desperately threw himself upon his wand. However, this would of been successful if he hadn't previously been taking his outer robe off. Due to the material still rapped around his lower arms, the fifteen year old found himself in... A jam. AHH. He was going to die. Here, in the sixth floor corridor, with his hands rapped around his body... WEEELL, at least he was cocooned. There could be worse ways to go. Screwing his eyes shut, Tomas braced himself for the on-coming attack, ready for... almost anything.

But it never came.

Brow furrowing in obvious confusion, he cautiously opened one eye and swiveled his body around to face the intruder. Oh. He felt silly instantly. But the feeling was soon washed away as the embarrassment set it. "Whaddya think you're doing?!" He exclaimed, trying his utmost to look respectable and a little composed, but it WAS hard trying to achieve these whilst you were tied up in your own clothes. Underneath his fuming exterior however, was an incredibly confused fifteen year old. This girl was.. Was TINY. How on earth did she have such a massive voice. She must have something with her. Or be using a volume spell. Yeah. That had to be it.

"AH!" Ariella cried out as the boy jolted awake and took a few surprised steps back. The boy flung his arms around which only resulted in him becoming tangled up with himself. Ari giggled as he stut his eyes and waited for her to attack, which could be arranged...

Once he opened his eyes and found the first year standing there he seemed to relax, "Well I was exploring this hallway until your feet got in the way, they almost tripped me," She said glaring down at the legs that lay on the ground infront of her, "But I asked you first!" Ariella complained as she crossed her arms and gave the boy a pointed look, waiting for him to answer her question.

What was this place? Sixth floor? Peering at his hand drawn map that he'd copied from Hogwarts, A History, Edmund noted that there was a boys bathroom on this floor. Handy to know. "But what else is this floor for?" He muttered aloud, wondering why Transfiguration wasn't just moved to another floor.

Dylan was on one of his explorations tours of Hogwarts, he had no idea what this floor was all he knew was that it was long with places to explore. As he walked along he saw an older boy looking at something in his hand while muttering something, he was now curious as to what was in his hand that seemed to be so important that he was like looking at it really hard. So Dylan snuck in behind him trying to peek at what was in his hand, but the boy being being older than him he was taller too so it was hard to get a good look.

Sensing someone trying to see his map, Ed looked at this new person questioningly, but lowered the paper so he could see it. "It's just a map. Are you okay?" It was a strange way of being curious.

Dylan hadn't realised that the boy had noticed him until the map was actually in his face, this made him look up at the boy as he said something to him. Was he ok? of course he was ok.. but this boy didn't seem to be if he was asking him that question "Yeah I am ok.. I was curious as to what you were so interested in cause I never seen anyone look hard at something like that. Now I know its a map I see why" yup he did cause there it was the map! "Not so curious anymore" he chuckled a little

Was he really looking at the map that hard? He'd just been concentrating and trying to work out why transfiguration had a whole floor to itself. He still couldn't work it out. Looking down at the young kid, Ed nodded, smiling. "Yeah, just trying to work this place out." He gestured towards the corridor with his forehead and then realised. Manners! "I'm Edmund. Edmund Clay. Nice to meet you." He eyed him curiously, waiting for a name from the kid.

Dylan looked down the corridor as he gestured towards it, he had to agree that it was fun to explore the castle and he nodded. Yeah and a map was needed for that, although Dylan liked to do it without one even though he carried one with him all the time just in case he got lost from his exploration. Oh! he was introducing himself now? "Yeah.. nice to meet you too.. Edmund.. I'm Dylan Jacobs .. or DJ if you prefer" he chuckled "So what were you looking for?" he asked Edmund

DJ? Couldn't he just call him Dyl? Well, he'd call the kid what he asked to be called. Even if he thought of a guy spinning decks when he said his name. "Nothing in particular. Just exploring." He was, though he eyed the newly mentally nicknamed short stack and wondered if he'd have some insight into Ed's niggling query. "I'm just wondering why Transfiguration has its own floor with only a boy's bathroom to accompany."

Dylan grinned hard "So am I! I was exploring this floor too!" he chuckled as he listened to Edmund who was questioning something about the floor. "Oh! yeah I guess that is something to wonder" he said starting to wonder why that was "'Maaayybbee the only have the bathroom so that if someone.... well a boy accidentally transfigured his face or something then he would have a place to hide?" he wondered too hoping that would not happen to him when it came to the class "Or if he transfigured something else and needed to hide anyways" yeah that sounded right.. right?

"Oh, firstie?" The kid looked small and innocent enough to be a firstie. Incredulation appeared at the explanation he'd come up with. He was certainly imaginative! "But then why wouldn't this be a girl's bathroom? They worry more about their appearance than we do." Surely it made better sense to stay in the room and let the teacher sort out the bad magic.

Dylan nodded as he asked if he was a firstie, was this guy one of those that had a problem with firsties he hoped not as he questioned why it wouldn't be a girl's bathroom. Mmm he had a point there they did care more about their looks and things than boys "Umm good point.. cause when they run they don't stop until they get to their common room... maybe?" he said cause that was a hard thing to answer, but he managed it right? well he hoped it made sense at least.

Noticing the kid's expression, Ed grinned. "Don't worry. It's my first year here too." Most people relaxed when he told them that, though he didn't know why they got all tensed up in the first place. Hm. He burst out laughing at the next piece of genius to escape the kid's mouth. "You're pretty sharp, DJ, I like you a lot."

Dylan looked surprised now, that now explained why Edmund was looking at his map when exploring the castle "You transferred? From where?" he asked cause he hadnt met many transfer students yet and was now curious. But at least he and Edmund were having fun exploring the castle for the first time. Just then Edmund burst out laughing at his comment on why the girls bathroom was not on this floor, Dylan too couldn't help but laugh as well. "Er thanks? Yeah I guess I am! " he said smiling "Well I guess it would be hard not to like me" he chuckled trying to look a little proud of himself.

"Durmstrang." He replied, shrugging. It was just one of those things that he'd repeated constantly now. Oh, this kid was cocky! Ed really couldn't help but like him. He was pretty confident for an 11 year old. "It's a good thing, trust me." Yup, the girls would LOVE that he was a self-confident joker.

Dylan nodded "Ah cool! what was it like there?" he asked wondering if it was different to Hogwarts or if it was different in terms of rules and things. What Ed said next made him smile "Yeah I guess it is, cause it wouldn't be fun hanging out with people that wouldn't like me." yeah it would be horrible "What you exploring next now that we have found out why the boy's bathroom is here, or do we have to figure out something else too?" he asked chuckling cause this was fun exploring the castle asking questions as to why the layout was like this.

"It was..." How did he explain that? "It was like a school. And it was cold. Like, ALL the time." Did that explain it well enough? Probably not. "Yeah, that'd suck." He pulled a face, but then laughed. "Well, nothing in particular, I just saw this empty-ish corridor and wondered if there was a hidden room or something." It was a good assumption since it was a magic school, right?

Dylan listened as Edmund tried to answer his question about how Durumstrang was, he nodded. Well that was true a school is a school how to describe that. "Cold? as in snow, cold? so like you could have snow fights all the time?" cause that was like totally awesome to be able to have snowfights all the time! Glad that Edmund agreed it would suck, Dylan laughed too upon seeing his face but he wouldn't say that of course. Cue wide eyes at the mention of a secret room, looking down the corridor Dylan could see why Edmund thought this "Yeah there could be.. I mean this whole corridor and not much in the whole corridor does make you think" there just had to be secret room in this big corridor.

"Yep, as in snow for four months cold." He grinned, nodding once more at his mention of snowfights. "Oh yeah, some of the more awesome teachers used to take us outside and if we got an answer right, we'd throw a snowball at them, but if we were wrong, they threw it at us." Ah, good memories. Plus it was great motivation to get questions right!

He looked down the corridor with DJ and nodded as he kid finally understood what he meant. "Yeah, so I was searching. Best way is to see if there's any colour change in the wall, or if it reacts to touch." But he wasn't going to go walking down the corridor touching the walls by himself, he'd look stupid.

Dylan smiled as he talked about snow and snowfights "Wow! that is awesome! I would love to just get out there and throw one at the professor! That is an awesome game, I wonder if a professor here would allow us to do that" he wondered out loud and wondered who would allow them to throw snowballs at them. "Though I wouldn't want one thrown at me, though I have had many thrown at me and its not as much fun as hitting someone" yeah it was more fun being on the attack rather than on the defence!

He nodded as Edmund explained how he could find a secret room "Thats all you have to do? thats easy!" he said as he proceeded to touch the wall "So what would happen if it reacted to my touch? would it move or shake or something?" cause a moving and shaking wall sounded like an awesome kind of wall to him. That would be good entertainment a wall to move and shake as you watched it and laughed at it.

Nodding, Ed agreed with short stack. "It's good fun, and the not wanting to get one returned is the incentive. And if too many people got the answers right, he'd choose the person who got the answer wrong most and we used them for target practice instead." Oh yeah, it'd been fun pelting his friends with snowballs and being able to smirk at them afterwards because he knew they couldn't retaliate.

"Most of the time." Sometimes rooms had a special way of people getting into them. "Um, I don't know. Some might move, some might shake, some might melt away, some might even turn into a door." It was just unpredictable, like magic! YAY!

Dylan smiled more and more as Edmund talked about the snowball fights! "Oh well I would be sure not to get too many wrong! We should get the professors here to start that! Questions and snowball fights go well together! " he said smiling as he imagined himself pelting someone with snowballs and of course the poor professor feels left out so he needs to be pelted too! Oh it would be just so much fun if they did it!

He nodded as Edmund said it was easy most of the time, ooo so that meant there was a hard way? "So what would be a not so easy way then?" he asked him wondering if a dragon or troll or something would make it harder. Edmund then told him how the walls revealed their secrets "Cool! Well let's give it a go then, see of some walls do that! Then we go see what's inside the room if we find one! " oh he just loved the idea of finding a secret room! What he might find inside the room, probably awesome stuff since it was in a secret room!

Short stack had proved Ed's point without even trying. "See?" He raised his eyebrows, hoping the kid would understand what he was trying to say. "I wonder if they would. It only snows here for a few weeks or days here." He was going to miss the snow. Sigh.

"Uh, some need something, like a specific thing to be rubbed on it. Some need to be touched in a certain place, some have certain 'rituals' to open them." He'd found a secret room at Durmstrang that required a food offering to open. Ed still didn't know where that food all went. "Lets!" It'd be fun to find something! And not care if they looked like idiots while they were doing it.

Dylan nodded he could see why people would want to get more correct answers than incorrect, it would save them from getting attacked by a white cold ball coming right at you. "We should ask! Ask some of the nicer ones if they would allow this activity to happen, we would learn new things that way and sometimes its the better way to learn" he would have study now just in case they did this snowball question thing cause there was no way he was getting hit by one of those balls

Dylan listened as Edmund told him about the different types of walls "Wow that sounds so cool! I wonder what kind of walls we will find here." he said looking around to see if there any clues as to where the doors were and what kind they were. Hopefully the ones that just need a touch and they reveal their secrets, his face then lit up as Edmund agreed to start touching the walls to see if any of them moved or shook or something to indicate there was a secret room.. or two

"Definitely. Or one of the eviller ones. I'm sure they'd take great pleasure in asking really hard questions and pelting us when we get it wrong." Now THOSE were fun lessons, when you had to know what you were talking about. He usually studied the whole book the night before he knew one of these lessons were coming up. It gave him an advantage.

"It is cool! Especially when you find one." Short stack looked excited at the prospect of finding something, so Ed put his map away in his pocket and moved to the closest wall. Tentatively putting his hands on it, he held his breath until they made contact and let out a disappointed sigh. "Well, that was anti-climactic." And thus, the search began!

Dylan wasn't too happy about asking the eviler ones "Oh yeah they would! That's why we ask the nicer ones that way we get to pelt them instead of us getting pelted. " cause it was more fun that way pelting the professors instead of getting pelted. He was not sure he liked the idea of the hard questions either "Does it have to be hard questions? Cause it would be more fun if it was easy questions and we get to pelt the professor. " he chuckled cause that's what he wanted. Easy questions and the chance to pelt the professor.

He was excited to hear Edmund say that it was cool "Oh yeah! It has to be cool! You get to uncover a secret room that no-one knows existed, and... and there might be some awesome stuff inside that room. " and he certainly did want the awesome stuff that could be in the room. He watched as Edmund put the map in his pocket and walked towards a wall and touched it to see if there was a reaction, Dylan watched very interested to see if there was. But was disappointed that there was nothing, even Edmund was disappointed. "Yeah it was, was hoping for the opposite" opposite! What about the opposite wall! Dylan rushed over the wall opposite the one they had touched, he touched it slowly and waited to see if there was anything... waited.... waited... nothing! "Oh man!! Just another boring wall!!!" he almost wanted to yell out in anger at the wall for not being a secret one.

"Yeah, but if they give you nice and easy questions, you'll never learn anything new." It was no fun knowing you were going to be right all the time! "Heh. You just want to hit the professor with a cold ball of 'stuff ya', don't you?" Ed looked down at Short Stack amusedly.

"Exactly! I found myself a perfect sudying room at Durmstrang." It was boring, but totally worth it. Especially since Ed had done pretty well. Short Stack's reaction to the walls being unresponsive was amusing. He had to laugh. "I'm sure there'll be one in the castle somwhere."

Dylan listened before showing a little frown "Learn? well yeah the whole point the game is to learn." he nodded "You know, learning to aim, duck when a ball is coming at you... and stuff" well it was natural to learn all that when playing the game "Oh yeah and all the classes stuff too" though that wasn't important to him anyways. Dylan couldn't help but burst out laughing and nodded enthusiastically as Edmund "Yup!! bestest part about the game! hitting a professor square in the face with a hard cold ball" oh yeah he was so wanting to do that!

"Study room? did you find anything like a room with awesome cool stuff in it. Like.. potions or extra wands orrrrrr... just cool stuff that we can have fun with.. OH! like things that explode!! they are always fun!" he chuckled as she asked about the rooms, hoping he would find one that was cool and awesome not as boring as a study room.. bleugh! Dylan looked at Edmund and nodded "There had better be, I mean a castle this big has to have many secret rooms! I mean there is alot of space for extra rooms that no-one knows about!" he shook his head a little.. there just had to be a room somewhere!

"Yeah, but I mean learn school stuff." It was amusing that DJ wanted to turn this learning exercise into a physical education class. Learning useful stuff seemed to be an afterthought to Short Stack. He ended up laughing with him. "Well, the face wouldn't be too kind. Think about where you'd want to be hit if the tables were turned." It wasn't nice being hit back in the same place, especially if it was the face.

"I did actually. I found a spell practice room. It was great fun when we challenged each other to duels for fun." He grinned, remembering all the fun times and trips to the hospital wing. "I'm hoping to find something like that here..." he looked around once more, but then nodded in agreement with DJ's assessment of the castle. "I'm sure there's one somewhere." Just not right here. He slid his hands over the wall, searching for anything, but came up with nothing. "No luck?"

Dylan raised his eyebrows as Edmund went on about learning stuff! "Well we are learning arent we, but we are just going to be throwing the snowballs too! Cause thats more fun than actually learning the school stuff, but I aint saying that we wont be learning school stuff cause we will of course" he chuckled. Cause he loved throwing snowballs and stuff, but if they had to learn stuff too then he would as well. But only cause he had to in order to throw snowballs at people.

Dylan thought about what Edmund said "Yeah true, but then you dont give them the opportunity to hit you back, simple as that! It's a win-win situation, you get to hit them with a snowball you win, and they cant hit you back you win again." see a win-win situation, and thats what Dylan wanted and liked. He wanted to be able to have a snowball fight, with learning but more fighting AND he wanted to be in that win-win situation.

As Dylan listened he smiled "A spell room? Awesome!! Did.. did it have spell books and stuff to teach you new spells?" he asked eagerly wanting to know about this room that he had found. His eyes then went wide "You did duels too!? Awesome!! Oh man so cool!! Oh we gotta find one of those in this castle.. we just gotta!!!" he said almost bouncing on the spot in all his excitement about a spell room!

He grinned as Edmund said that he hoped to find one room like that in the castle, Dylan started looking around to see if there was any clue as to where this room could be, but no clues so he looked back at Edmund just as he too was touching the walls to look for the room. Dylan went to another wall .. touched it.. poked it... stroked it... nothing. He looked at Edmund and shook his head "No luck." he said disappointed again at not finding anything.

"True." He agreed, smiling at the mention of throwing snowballs. He still did target practice every morning just in case. "But if you miss, you don't get another chance." He warned him with a badly hidden grin. This kid had potential. "It's win-win for you. Lose-lose for the professor." Right?

"It did! They had some awesome spells in there." He remembered trying out new ones and having some tried out on him. That'd been a fuuuun weekend. Explaining why his hair had been yellow had been interesting though. "Yeah, we did them in secret." The professors would have gone crazy if they'd found out! He watched Short Stack trying to contain his excitement with great amusement

"Shame." He sighed, looking around once more. "Shall we try somewhere else?"

Logan was searching for Ness so that she could get her birthday present, but of course she was nowhere to find. It was rather annoying how people were never around when he needed them. Scrunching his face up as he continued to walk, he started trying to send Hufflepuff brainwaves out to Ness.

Come to the sixth floor corridor... time to get your present...

He was so wrapped up in what he was doing, he didn't even notice if there were other people walking in the hallway. Probably not the smartest thing to do when looking for someone.

Reaching the end of the corridor and finding no one he knew, Hunter turned around and practically ran into this other guy that was behind him. "What the?!" He stopped abruptly and looked the boy up and down. This guy looked really familiar. "Didn't I....see you at the, um, the feast?!" Or at least that was when he thought he had seen him. "Or maybe not?" He had been the kid that wanted the potatoes or something!

Merlin's beard! Logan's heart almost jumped right out of his chest as he saw a person enter his field of vision. It was so close to a collision, that it was amazing that it had been avoided.

Taking deep breaths to get over the shock, Logan looked the boy over as he was asked if they had met at the feast. Hmm. "I think so... you gave me potatoes?" Logan distinctly remember wanting potatoes and having to go over to the Slytherin table to get them. Mmm. Potatoes.

So it was him! "I did!!" Hunter had thought he seemed rather nice at the feast but extreeeemely hungry! This was his kind of friend, especially compared to Mikey. His frenemy only because his cousin and girlfriend seemed to like the guy for ridiculous unknown reasons. "I'm Hunter Pierce! Seventh year!" He held out his hand, waiting for the younger lad to shake it. "What are you doing alone up here?" Surely he had much more interesting things to do? Even if it was going to go find some potatoes to eat. Anybody that loved food as much as Hunter did was somebody worth knowing. Hailey didn't call him fatty for no reason....even though Hunter Sean Pierce was anything but fat.

With a smile, Logan took the offered hand and shook it. This guy seemed nice, and cool. "Nice to meet you, I am Logan MacKenzie. Fifth Year." And he was sounding so dreadfully formal right now. It was cool to meet an older student. Even though his brother was technically a year older, it didn't count because Mason had failed Fifth Year. Snicker.

Wait... What was he doing here? Wracking his brains for a moment, Logan suddenly remembered. "I am looking for Ness so that I can give her a present." He had it in his bag, which he had magically expanded so that it would fit. "What are you doing alone here?" Surely it wasn't rude when he had been asked that very same question.

Harvey decided to walk around the school, he just couldn't sit still these days. Whenever he sat down to relax a certain someone decided to invade his mind and he ended up grinning like an idiot. So he decided he needed to get out and have a walk to clear his mind of other things and just enjoy the thoughts of her that he had. He just couldnt believe that he had spent New Years with her, it was their first one as a couple and since that day just thinking about it got him grinning. Oh he wondered what Ella would think of him if she saw him now, grinning like he had won the lottery or something. Well... maybe he had, having Ella around was like winning the lottery so he had every right to be grinning like an idiot.

Ella had been busy practicing some of the spells she'd learned in Transfiguration and her brain was definitely ready for a break. Gathering her books, the third year headed out into the corridor with every intention of going to get something to eat. Food was definitely on her mind at the moment, which was pretty typical for Ella. Another thing on her mind was a certain Ravenclaw boy who she hadn't really seen since they got back from break. She was hoping that would change soon though, as she really missed Harvey.

Speakingoftheboyfriend. Grin. The third year caught sight of him and stopped in her tracks, a wide smile on her face. "I was just thinking about you." She said by way of greeting, shifting her books from one arm to the other. "Where have you been hiding, anyway. I've missed you."

He looked up at the sound of a very familiar voice one that he had gotten so used to hearing that he would be able to recognise from anywhere. He smiled as he looked at her, it seemed that no matter what she wore she always looked good in it. "You look nice!" he said gesturing towards her clothes "You were? I was thinking about you too" he said walking upto her and placing a hand on her cheek "Nowhere, I cannot hide from you. Look you found me already. I have missed you too!" he said in a low voice since he was close to her. He looked at her before looking around to see if anyone was around, seeing there wasnt he smiled at her and gave her a kiss. Hey he could do that now, they had kissed a few times before and now he was getting used to the fact that he could in fact kiss her. Man he loved the feelings he got when he kissed her, it was like he was floating away with her... all those feelings that he could not describe were flowing through him right now.

Ella raised an eyebrow, looking down at her outfit. This was nice? Shrug. She grinned up at Harvey, pulling on his own shirt gently with her free hand. "Thanks." Tug. "You look really nice too." Not that he didn't always. Handsome guy, Harvey Watson. She was quite lucky to have him. The third year bit her lip to prevent the huge smile threatening to show when he revealed he'd been thinking of her too. "You were, huh? That's good to know." It was nice knowing someone you thought was really special thought about you when you weren't around. It made it really hard not to feel special too.

The fourteen year old felt the heat in her cheeks as soon as Harvey placed his hand there, eyes traveling from his hand to his face with a curious smile. "I'm a badger, you know. We're particularly good finders." And yes, she stressed the particularly part. Her smile only grew when he said he'd missed her too. That was another perk about having a boyfriend, knowing someone somewhere was missing you. That felt quite nice. She raised an eyebrow as he looked around suddenly, wondering what he was up to. Was he expecting company or something? Oh Merlin, she'd interrupted him and-

...

Kissing was nice. Really, it was. Ella let herself kiss him back for a moment or two before pulling back and smiling at him sheepishly. "Thanks." Yeah, cause that was totally appropriate after a greeting like that.

He smiled as she looked down at her outfit and shrugged, well it was nice to him anyways even if it was something she just threw on. He looked at her as he felt her tug at his shirt, good thing she wasnt that strong at pulling his shirt down "No worries, Oh this? just a shirt" maybe he would have to wear some nice shirts for Ella not cause he felt he needed to but cause he wanted to. Not like a plain old shirt with some jeans, no that would not do when with Ella. He nodded while trying not to smile just as she was doing, well it was not that hard to not smile that much when he was around her. She just seemed to bring that out in him "Yup I was, like I never leave that corner of your mind... you never leave mine. You have made quite a cozy place up in this head of mine" it seemed that they thought about each other alot which would not be a shock to anyone at all.

As he put his hand on her cheek he was sure that he felt her heat up a little, which made him realise that he had not noticed that before. He nodded "Yes I can see that, no matter where I am you always seemed to find me. Not that I am complaining of course, saves me alot of time going over this huge castle looking for a single fourteen year old hufflepuff that never leaves my mind. " yes see that was the good thing about being a good finder he woudl be found no matter where he was. He noticed her smile getting a little bigger as he said that he had missed her "Well its hard not to after you spend so much time with her that when she is not around you wonder where she is cause you have some time on your hands that you would like to spend having a great time" with Ella of course, though he wouldnt mind if Mins or anyone else would like to spend time with him too.

He felt her kiss him back before pulling back, time for another one yet? he kinda felt it was over too soon but they couldn't stay like that forever it was just.... well weird. He raised his eyebrows "For what? " he questioned wondering why she said thanks cause he hadn't done anything thank-worthy. So that kinda confused him a little.

Ella smiled, tilting her head to the side. "Just a nice shirt." At least she thought it was. She continued to grin as he explained that she had a permanent spot in his head, raising an eyebrow before she spoke. "And I hope all the thoughts are good ones..." They totally were, weren't they?

The badger laughed, rolling her eyes at the claw before grinning. "Must be nice for you, to not have to look. Meanwhile I'm doing all the work." The third year said playfully, poking him in the chest. She was a bit surprised to hear how often he wanted to hang out with her, thinking there was nothing particularly great about having her around. Ella was sure there were tons more fun people at Hogwarts who he'd enjoy spending time with. "I'm glad you feel that way, Harvs cause you're kinda stuck with me."

Oh Merlin's beard. It wasn't enough that she had to go and say something incredibly awkward after kissing him and now he had to call her out for it? The blonde just stood there, shuffling her feet sheepishly. "I um...for...well forthekiss." And she reached for his hand with her free one, lacing their fingers. "Anyway...can we not talk about what an incredibly awkward human being I am." Giggle. New subject, please?

Harvey looked down at his shirt and nodded "If you think its nice then I will agree with you" for now, but it was nice that she liked what he wore, maybe in the same way that he liked what she wore. He chuckled "Well I like to think, afterall in my head you and bad dont go together. " well there were no bad thoughts regarding her couldnt say the same for other thoughts he may have regarding other people.

He nodded smiling as she poked him in the chest, he rubbed it not because it hurt but because of the sensation that was left there by her finger tip "Of course! more time to enjoy with you, well I am sure you are used to it by now, and have probably a really sense of where I am so it wouldn't take you long since you have practiced that skill so many times making it better and better " he said smiling. He saw the surprise on her face was it really that surprising that he enjoyed hanging out with her so much, he shook his head "I am not stuck with you" a little dramatic pause "You are stuck with me" he chuckled, yup poor Ella was stuck with him but she knew that she could hang out with other people if she wanted to right? He hoped she did if not he would have to explain it to her.

He watched her shuffle her feet, another Ella trademark? .. he certainly thought so. He smiled "You dont have to thank me for that, thats a little... prize for having me around" he chuckled and felt an electrical shock rush through his body as she laced their fingers as she giggled "I dont think you are, but ok we can change the subject. Like how did it feel spending our first holiday together?" he asked half-jokingly he didnt expect her to answer that cause he was sure that she had a specific subject in mind that she wanted to ask him. Well she was allowed to ask him if she wanted to he wasnt going to stop her.

Good. So no bad thoughts, then. That was a relief. Ella would hate to think that anyone would be having bad thoughts about her. That would be the worst.

Well...that was a good point. Ella kind of knew Harvey's haunts by this point so finding him really wasn't that difficult. Well unless he was in his common room or something. Sigh. Why did they have to be in different houses again? She returned his smile with one of her own and raised an eyebrow at his dramatic pause. He wasn't stuck with her but what? Hmm? Ohh. Grin. "I don't mind being stuck with you, Harvs." She was hoping he'd be sticking around for quite a while.

"A prize, huh?" Ella said, amused. "Well um...it's a um...a good one." Blush. She was happy he changed the subject too, that was nice. Something else that was nice? His choice of new topic. She smiled up at him, shrugging. "Oh I dunno...it was alright, I guess." Shrug...

KIDDING, of course. Ella had been so happy to have Harvey around. "Actually it was perfect, Harvs. Why? What did you think about it? The fireworks were quite pretty, yeah?"

Harvey smiled "You dont? mm well that sounds.. like a welcoming invitation to stick around for a long time. Do you think you could handle having me around for a very long time?" he asked jokingly hoping that she would want him to, cause right now he wanted to stick around Ella for as long as was possible. Being around her he just seemed to become a different person who was alot more fun to be with, he didnt know what it was about her that made him like that. She was the one that made him smile so much he though that his face would be stuck in that one position, even right now she was making him smile just by saying that.

He nodded "Yup a prize" he chuckled as she said it was a good one "Well I have a feeling that you will be winning some more prizes in the future" that was a hint of course to future kisses that would be coming her way. Gosh! Ella made him say all these silly things too! He would never have come up with those with anyone else, and suddenly here he was with her coming up with these... silly comments that she liked. He smiled when she smiled but the shrugging? he did not expect that, and what she said next he had not expected either! His smile almost disappeared at that, she didnt find spending the holidays with him fun? it was only alright? when for him it had been a great one. But.. oh.. Ella!!!! His smile returned as he shook his head at her "I was just changing topic and that was the first to come to my head. It was.... amazing! yes they were... it was good to have you by my side watching them with me made watching them even better." he said as he looked into those eyes of hers.. "The way they shone in your eyes as you watched them, that was goo..." oh shucks! had he just revealed that he had been watching her as well. Well he didnt have to be ashamed of watching her, he was allowed to do that as much as he wanted.

Ella looked at Harvey thoughtfully, wondering if he was expecting a serious answer or not. Truth be told, Ella didn't ever want Harvey to leave. That was a thing with her though, people leaving. She had this huge fear that the people she loved were going to leave her the way her mom had and it was always at the back of her mind. So when Harvey asked her that question, even if he was just joking, she took it quite seriously. "Harvey I don't want you to ever go away, okay." She said very quietly, her green eyes wide. "Just promise you won't, okay?" Not that she was asking him to promise to be her boyfriend forever or anything, she just wanted him to promise to always be there for her. The third year's pinky went up and she held it out to him, waiting for him to do his part.

Ella smiled sheepishly and looked down at the floor, not really knowing how to respond to Harvey's comment. Not that she didn't like the idea of more kissing. She totally did. She just didn't know what to say about it without sounding like a complete idiot. The badger could tell just by the change in Harvey's face that he bought her whole "alright" comment. This made her Grin like mad, feeling quite accomplished to have fooled him. The grin only intensified when he said what he had thought of New Year's Eve. He thought it was amazing? This was...really good news. Really good. She began to blush as he revealed that he was maybe watching her a bit more than the fireworks display and she became suddenly nervous, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "I... soyoudidn'twatchthefireworksthen?"

The smile that Harvey had on his face disappeared completely, the guy had worried her.. he shook his head with concern in his eyes now as he saw her eyes go wide. He saw the pinky come out and he without hesitating linked his with hers, and then instantly hugged her "I am sorry for worrying you Ella. I promise I wont ever go away. You cant get rid of me that easily, you are stuck with a guy named Harvey Watson." his heart was beating so fast, and butterflies were there again. He continued to hold onto her he didnt want to let go "I promise.. I do Ella.. I really do" he said once again voicing his promise to never leave her. He couldn't believe that he had worried her like that, he would have to watch what he said from now on especially when it came to things like that. He then finally did let her go though he could have held her for a long time if he wanted to and gave a small smile, he wanted to punch himself right then and there, if there was someone around he would have told them to do it.

He couldnt help but smile as she looked down at the floor not saying anything at all, he kinda wished she would say something about that even if she did sound weird and strange so that he would know what she thought of his idea. But then again what could she say to that? there was not much to say about it. He saw the grin on her face as it became alot more bigger at his thoughts of New Year's Eve. He smiled even more as he saw her blush as he had revealed by complete accident that he had been watching her. He watched her do her nervous routine of carefully and delicately tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she asked a question. He knew that the way he answered this question would determine if her face became an even deep shade of red or not, and for this he would tell her the complete truth even if it did make her blush he was not about to change the truth to stop her from blushing. Cause he liked it when she blushed and plus it was a good thing that he did. He nodded "I did watch them, I watched them through your eyes... you were watching them... they shone in your eyes... and I watched them as they did. So I... was kind of multi-tasking... watching them ... as well as watching.." he wondered if he should finish the sentence.. well she knew already so he might as well "You" he said to her looking into those very eyes that he had been watching while they had been watching the fireworks. The way they changed as each firework went up, the way they sparkled and widened each time. They smiled, laughed just as she did while watching them. They did everything Ella did, they were pretty just like Ella.

Whoops. Ells hadn't meant to suck the all the happiness out of the hallway. Somehow she'd done it anyway, though. Meh. Stupid feelings. She sometimes wished she didn't feel anything at all, that way the bad stuff wouldn't creep up on her like this at the worst times. The third year eyed their pinkies for a moment before returning the hug, happy her face was hidden from view. She was seriously frowning at the moment. "No it's okay, I'm fine it's just....you know. Stuff." Mom stuff to be exact. She pulled away from him and gave him a small reassuring smile, arms still linked around him. "I really am fine, don't worry about it."

BLUSHHHH. Sheesh, Watson. Way to lay it on thick. Ella didn't even try to hide it this time, knowing she was probably a tomato-y red at this point. She giggled at the multitasking comment, rolling her eyes. "Harvs..." Poke. "You're kind of awesome...you know that?"

Harvey nodded "I know.. I know. But I am not going anywhere at all, I just dont want to... be anywhere else." just thinking about it right now made him feel bad. He didnt want to say this but if he did leave he would give her permission to have him tracked down, she afterall did have people to do that for her. He smiled as she did with her arms still around him "Ok if you are sure that you are fine. I just want what I have always wanted since we started dating... I just want you happy." and right now with him saying things like he did, that was not going to completely happen. He was not happy with himself right now even if he was happy that he was hanging out with her right now. He didnt let go of her just yet but he smiled cause having his arms around her just felt good.. maybe he wouldn't let her go just yet. She would have to do something to get him to let go, but she would have to find out what.

Aaannddd there it was the blush that he knew was coming, and no hiding it? well that was new for Ella. He actually liked that she didnt hide it cause if she did everytime he said something he wouldnt get to see her face that much. Maybe she would allow him to openly see her blushing, he smiled at her giggle AND he wanted her to keep giggling.. music to his ears it was. "Whhaatt" he laughed as she poked him.. rubbing the place.. poking.. a new thing of hers that he loved "I am? No I did not know that.. though I did win the affections of an awesome GIRL, so ... maybe that automatically makes me awesome too" he smiled, he still even to this very day considered himself very lucky that he had. What if he had been in Ella's position, to like someone and find that they dont like you in that way. He was lucky Harvs.

Ella nodded, not really feeling like she needed to say anything. He knew how she felt about stuff, had seen her cry over it before... And it meant a lot to hear that he wasn't going anywhere. "I am happy...or I am most of the time. And when I'm not I'll just..." Normally she'd try and keep it to herself, but she figured Harvey wouldn't like that. "I'll talk to you about it, okay?" It was probably better if she started doing that anyway.

"Don't mock, Harvs." She said with a small smile, trying not to laugh. "Well it's true, you are awesome...I guess some of my awesomeness has just rubbed off on you. It's been known to happen, you know." Grin. In actuality, it was other people's awesomeness that tended to rub off on her. She was sure of it. "Harvs? Let's play the question game. We haven't done that in a while." And Ella didn't really have any plans at the moment other than hanging out with him, so it might be fun. "You go first." Not that she was being bossy or anything.

He smiled as she said that she was happy, even if was not all the time. "Well at least you are happy most of the time ... right? " he nodded "Yes you can, you know where I am.. being a badger who is amazing at finding a certain handsome, ravenclaw, fourth year who can make her blush at the drop of a hat!" he laughed as he said this. But he was glad that she would come to him if she ever felt sad. Cause as well as being her boyfriend thats what he was there for, to listen to her and help her through the sad times that she might be going through. There was no way he was going to let her be sad and not do anything about it.

He chuckled "I am doing no such thing!" he sometimes couldnt help it though when he did do it. He smiled and then chuckled "You know.. I will believe that, I guess your awesomeness has rubbed off on me. I guess if I hang around you enough I will become more and more awesome just like you. Well not as awesome as you but near enough" he chuckled a little more, knowing that she was awesome. Not many people could keep him entertained as much as she did, no-one did laugh as much as she did at his comments no matter how rubbish they were. She just seemed to understand him in ways that no-one else ever did, maybe thats why he liked having her around so much... cause it was just so much fun being around her, making him laugh in the process too. "Hmm? " he nodded and smiled "Thats true we haven't" it was one thing that would make hanging out with her enjoyable since they usually found some common ground "Ok I will go first.. hmmm ok I got one! when you first met me, what did you like about me first? and it can be anything!" he said her, now that he was her boyfriend he could ask things about himself and her without her feeling all awkward as to why he was asking something like that.

"Right." Nod. Nod. Nod. And nobody was genuinely happy all the time, it just didn't work that way. She rolled her eyes as he complimented himself, laughing softly. "You are pretty handsome, Harvs." Just in case he didn't realize it.

"Sureee you're not." The third year said with raised eyebrows. She grinned at him as he went on about how awesome she was, willing herself not to blush even more. It seemed to be working too, which was pretty cool. And he wanted to play the game, which was brilliant. Ella really enjoyed it, especially because they had to be totally honest while playing. She listened to his question and smiled at him, thinking about her answer. "Well I guess...I noticed your hair first." Grin. "I kind of have a thing about hair...and that's usually what I notice first about people. Yours is quite nice, by the way." And was she sounding like a weirdo yet or what? "I um...I pick the same question. What did you notice?"

He smiled even if he had made her sad at least he had managed to make her laugh again with a bonus of her rolling her eyes. So that was a success, another mission was successful "Mm so I have been told.. by this pretty girl I know... you know.. you might know her. Third year hufflepuff, loves gummy worms and ice-cream.. loves having a red face." trying hard not to laugh he smiled, that kind of described her a little. He could have said more but that would have bored her and was not ideal. Short and sweet was the fun way.

He laughed as she raised her eyebrows, see! thats all she had to say and it made him laugh.. what was it about her that made him do that "Glad you agree" he grinned at her. She then grinned as he said how awesome she was, he then waited for her face to go red.. it didnt come. It may have gone a little pinkish but not a full on red face, it was fine he didnt need a red face to know the effects his comments could be having on her. He nodded as she answered his question "Mm yes I think I should have known that, knowing that you love my 'just out of bed' look." he chuckled "Yeah? thats good that it is, makes you like it even more." he smiled as he looked at her hair "Yours is nice too, doesnt need any of that styling business that other girls do, its perfect just the way it is" he often wondered why some girls did that to their hair, though he wouldnt be against it if Ella wanted to a bit of styling to her hair. He thought about how to answer her question "Well... there is question mark over what I noticed first.. was it your sparkling eyes... or your .. face.. pretty face" in all its beauty. Though he wasnt sure Ella was quite ready to hear that word 'beautiful' when it came to her, so he would carry on with the pretty until it was time to use beautiful. Well he had better ask another question "Hmm.. ummm... now I know you love ice-cream.. but is there one specific flavour that you like over the rest?" he asked her, this would be good to know so that if he had to buy her ice-cream in the future he would know which one to buy without even asking her.

Ella raised an eyebrow as Harvey described her, a small smile on her face. He'd said she was pretty again, which made her feel quite nice, though she still didn't see herself that way. She was just Ella, nothing special there. She also couldn't help but wonder if that's what she was known for, her love of gummy worms and ice cream. She did talk about it a lot, so maybe it wasn't that surprising but still. The red face bit made her snort before she pushed Harvey gently away from her. "You had me thinking you were talking about me until the red face part..." Grin.

Ella nodded her head, giggling softly. "Yup, I do like it and you should have known." But that was the point of this game, right? To learn stuff about each other? She blushed when he complimented her hair, bringing a hand up to twirl one of the strands absently. "I um... thanks, Harvs. You might be a bit bias, though." Him being her boyfriend and all. And the compliments continued, which only intensified her blushing. Not fair really, that he could make her feel so HDHJFHJF. "I um...Harvs." Meep. He really needed to stop making her brain go all fuzzy. She couldn't think straight when he talked like this. "Thanks." And then the next question was asked and Ella was glad for a change in subject. And the new subject? ICE CREAM! "Well...I really do love all the flavors but if I had to choose...Oreo. No doubt about it." Grin. Grin. Grin. "My turn. What's your favorite thing about Hogwarts?"

He heard her snort before she pushed him away gently and he raised his eyebrows.. Time for some fun? He certainly thought so “Ah I am sorry that I made you think like that. I guess I will have to be more careful” he then moved closer to her “Ok so.. I kind of lied.. Its me that loves her red face not her..” he chuckled as he saw her grin “I see that she likes shoving me now, maybe that’s become a new game for her? To shove me around? Eh?” well that wasn’t so bad, first the nudging and now the shoving. Either way it was her that was having fun doing it so who was he to deny her the fun that she loved.

He nodded that he should have known, but hey at least she giggled right? That was a good thing, he watched as she twirled a strand “No worries, mm maybe.. but I will be honest with you, I thought the same thing a very long time ago.. not long after we met.. so at that time I would not have been bias” he watched as her blushing seemed to deepen as he went on with the compliments that he was giving her. “Hmm? Ok fine I will stop with the compliments.. ok well maybe not stop.. but tone it down a little” cause he couldn’t really completely stop on the compliments since that would be too hard for him to do. He then listened as she answered his question “Oreos.. Got it! ” he had to remember that for the next time they had ice-cream together. She was then asking him a question “Well.. you said thing.. so.. ” he looked at her “Well that’s a tough one.. I have never thought about that.. But I guess if I had to think about it.. Then it would be a place.. I think the lake would be it. How about yours?” he asked her.. But what he had hidden from her was the fact that any place he had hung out with her would be his favourite thing, whether it was topiary garden, the lake, duck pond, great hall or even her own common room where he had left her many times. But that was for a better time.

Ella nodded her head, a small smile on her face. "Yeah you really should be more careful, Watson." Grin. She raised an eyebrow when he moved closer, her stomach filling with those butterflies again. "You lied to me?" Poke. He knew how she felt about that. Ohhh. Grin. "Yeah...I kind of figured that was the case." Not that he mentioned his love of her blushing all the time or anything..."I dunno if she loves it. Maybe she just thinks you deserve one every now and then?" And she smiled mischievously before giggling.

Ella's green eyes widened a bit and she bit her lip, not knowing what to say. "You...you thought that before? Like...a long time ago?" That was kind of surprising to hear. "Thanks, Harvs. Toning it down would be great." Grin. "Yup! Oreos. I love Oreo ice cream! It's delicious! Especially with gummy wormsss!" Bounce. Bounce. Beam! "The lake is really nice." Nod. "I guess mine would be...the lake too, actually. Or the Kitchen." Cause the Kitchen had ice cream! And now it was her turn. Hmmmm. "Ummm...What's...What was your New Years resolution?" Cause surprisingly, they hadn't talked about that.

He nodded "Yes I should and I will note that down in my brain note book" he chuckled as he saw her grin. Oh man he was getting alot of feely stuff right now. He chuckled a little "Ok so maybe I deserved that poke, but it was a different kind of lie" he chuckled and then he smiled "Yeah? well you figured it out quite fast.. smart girl" he smiled.. and she was a smart girl, she figured things out alot faster than he might have done. "She does? Well.. she is allowed to give me a couple here and there .. per day.. per week.. whatever is good with her." he chuckled before stopping and watching her mischievous smile and then the giggle.. oh boy he was in trouble now. Just dont be too tough on him Ella

He smiled as she saw her eyes widen as she bit her lip as she usually did when she was nervous or something. He smiled and nodded "Yes I did, I.. thought the same about your eyes" well he had better stop there and not say too much he was supposed to be toning down the compliments.. well it was a kind of compliment right? so two points were enough unlike the many others he had. He smiled as she thanked him "Hey anything to see that smile on my girls face" he said to her smiling. He could see how excited she was getting about the Oreo ice-cream "With gummy worms.. mm I gotta try that" he said.. hint hint Ella.. time for some ice-cream in the kitchen with your boy. He smiled knowing that her place would be by the lake since they had hung out alot by there that they should have left their mark on the trees or something. "Ah yes the kitchen.. cant forget the kitchen! with all the food and stuff" he chuckled and it was a nice place to be if you ever got hungry. He listened to her question "Umm well I dont have one really.. but I guess it would be to feed you more sweet things. Cause if I did anything else then I have a feeling it would be hard for me to keep it.. but this one I can keep. Whats yours?" he asked curiously wondering what she had come up with hers before he asked her a question.

"Your brain notebook?" Ella giggled, thinking Harvey was being pretty silly. She'd honestly never heard anyone say that before. Nod. "Yeahhh, it wasn't the really bad kind so I guess you're forgiven." This time, anyway...Smart girl? This made Ella smile faintly. "I guess I can be sometimes..." Though she felt quite dumb a lot of the time, and confused. Mostly confused. "Yup, she really does and she's glad she has your permission. She'll try and take it easy, though." Grin.

Ella tried not to smile too wide, it was really hard not to though. And she was pink, that was a given. She stood up on her tip toes and kissed Harvey on the cheek before stepping away. "You're sweet, Harvs." And he was making her feel quite good about herself at the moment, which was nice. "I like the sound of that y'know...your girl." She said thoughtfully, looking up at him. "It has a nice ring to it." Mhm. It totally did. Wait! He'd never had her Oreo ice cream with gummy worms sundae? Blink.Blink. That was an outrage! Ella threw her hands up in the air excitedly and bounced on her heels. "Eep! Harvs, you have to try it! It's SO delicious! I promise. You'll love it!" They'd have to have a kitchen date really soon, that was necessary. She smiled at his resolution before letting out a little giggle. "I have to say I really like that resolution. I think mine would be...to not apologize for things so much. And...I guess to try and not think so much." Or over think things, really. She did both lots and she needed to relax a bit, or so she'd been told. Then it was her turn to ask a question. Hmmm. "What's your favorite memory, Harvs?"

He nodded "Yeah! I mean I do need to remember things so I write them down in my brain note book" he chuckled as he said this, well it sounded like a good idea at the time so he said it, now he was not so sure about it. He smiled "Thanks Ella" as she said that he was forgiven, he wouldnt like it if he hadnt been forgiven. "Well I think you are, you were smart enough to choose me as your guy" he chuckled, well he didnt think that really. But he knew that she was a smart girl, he smiled as she grinned "I am glad that she is glad, well she doesnt have to but that is entirely her choice" he wouldnt mind if she ended up having alot of fun shoving him and things cause thats all it was, a bit of fun.

He watched as she went pink over his confession that he had noticed her hair and her eyes even before they had starting feeling things for each other, and that was true he had noticed how beautiful her eyes were. He immediately got a grin on his face as she kissed his cheek "I might be, but I am sure you dont mind a sweet ol' me? " he asked as he looked into those eyes that he had noticed before he listened to what she was saying "You do? Mm I think you are right.. it does!!" he smiled "My girl... my girl. I think I need to say it more often, like I love hanging out with MY girl. MY girl is pretty.... awesome" he said using the words that she liked, so now maybe he would have to say it more often. He was then surprsed at her behaviour at his confession that he hadn't had Oreo ice-cream with gummy worms on top! "Ok.. ok I will try it, I just need someone to try it with me" hint Ella, time to set that kitchen date. This time if they did have that date he was going to do something he wanted to do last time but he didnt cause they were just friends back then. He smiled as he heard her giggle "Yeah? thats good, its the one that I keep and I will enjoy keeping it" he said as she said what hers would be "Those are good resolutions.. I might try to help you keep them if I can" he smiled cause he didnt want her to break her resolutions. He listened to her question and thought about it, well there were lots!! The first day he arrived here and made his friends on the train, first day he met Ella, first day they became friends, all the times they had hung out, the day he had told her how he felt, and all the times they had kissed. He had to pick one out of that? that was tough "Well I have a few actually, the first day I arrived here and made my friends, the day we met, the day I told you how I felt.. and many more. I guess I just want to remember my time with you, I dont want to forget a single thing. Thats why I have my brain notepad" he chuckled as he looked at her "Do you have one?" he asked her before he thought of something to ask her "Would you like to join Ravenclaw?" he asked her wiggling his eyebrows, you know you want to Ella, afterall Harvey is in that house, more time with him if you do.

Ella nodded, smiling at Harvey. He was cute. "I see." A brain notebook. Heh. That was a very Harvey thing to say. "You're very welcome, Harvs." Grin. Oh, very confident today, huh? Ella smirked, raising an eyebrow at him. "Well aren't you Mr. Confidence today..." Not that she minded. It was actually nice to see him like this, rather than doubting himself or putting himself down. Grin.

Ella shook her head. "Nope, I don't mind at all." It was really awesome having someone around who could make her feel so good about herself. She hoped she did that for Harvey as well. "I do." Grin. And she giggled as he used the phrase several more times, rolling her eyes at him. "Yup...still sounds great." She raised her eyebrows when he told her he'd need someone to try the ice cream with him. "You'll be trying it with me, of course. It is my favorite after all. Maybe we can go tomorrow or something?" After classes were over and their work was done. It would be like a reward or something! "I'd like help keeping those resolutions. Thanks for offering." It would probably do her a world of good to stop worrying all the time. She simply looked up at him grinning like an idiot when he told her his favorite memories, many involving her. As for hers, she knew exactly what it was. "Mine is boarding the train to Hogwarts first year because...well lots of amazing things have happened since then and it's all because I got on that train." Grin. Was that a lame answer? "Hey Harvs? I think I should head back to the common room soon. We have a badger get together tonight."

Harvey saw smile and grin and that was very good to see! He saw that eyebrow go up and he nodded "But only because you are here, I guess I can be myself around you whether I am being silly or weird and not have to worry about you not liking that side of me." yup that was the one thing that brought confidence or made it go away, by the fact that he didnt want to seem to stupid or something in front Ella, but he now knew that he could without worrying too much. "This new Harvey I think is cause of you Ella, so thank you for making me into this fun guy that you care about so much and who cares about you too!" he said as he leaned in and gave her a kiss as a little prize for being the one that was finally showing him that being around Hogwarts was enjoyable.

He smiled and gave her a nod when she said that she didnt mind, well of course she wouldnt she did like sweet things so him being sweet just helped her like him more. He heard her giggle "Thats good I am glad it does, wouldn't want it not sounding great" no.. no cause that would be bad of course! He saw her raise her eyebrows as he said he needed someone to try the ice-cream with, he nodded "Well I cant think of a better person to go with than you, so yes we can go tomorrow. It will be a fun time tomorrow thats for sure, any time with you is a fun time." he smiled, which intensified when she agreed to him helping her keep her resolutions. "No worries, wouldn't want you struggling to keep them on your own, I am here to support you now and even if that means these resolutions of yours." he smiled as she looked up at him grinning like they usually did at some point as he listened to what she had to say about her memory "That is true! and I am very glad that we both got on that train even if it was at different times" he now wondered how it was that they had not met on the train, oh wait.. its cause he spent that whole journey secretly with Minnie in the Food Trolley hiding from Ronnie. "Yes?" he said as she said his name, he did love it when she said his name or called him anything else "Oh.. right.. ok.. no worries.. let me walk you back to your common room then" he said offering his arm. He now really wished that he was a puff cause he wouldnt have to leave her at the door.

Ella was really glad to hear that Harvey felt like he could be himself around her, it was nice to hear. "Yup, that's true. I don't want you to ever be anything other than you, okay? ...Cause you're brilliant." And nodded seriously before cracking a smile. She blushed as he explained his new attitude was because of her. Was that true? Had she really changed him that much? It was pretty surprising to hear. Even more surprising, the unexpected kiss. She smiled against his lips before looking up at him curiously. "What was that for?" ...Not that she minded.

Ella bounced when Harvey agreed to ice cream. BEAM. "Good! I can't wait. Ice cream with you sounds great!" Two of her favorite things combined. She squeezed his hand, giving him a small smile. "Thanks for offering to help." It was quite nice and she appreciated it. "I'm glad too, cause if we hadn't...we never would have met." Which was weird to think about...so she ignored the thought. The third year took his arm when he offered, giving him a smile in return. "Alrighty, let's go." And off they went.

Minerva carried the mannequins out of the classroom and down the corridor. They were heavy and she didn't want to drop any of them. She didn't know who's she even had, she had just taken as many as she could handle. Once at the homework room door she placed them all neatly in a row along the wall. Then went back to the classroom to collect more.

A few moments later Minerva was back with more mannequins being very careful to look out for Peeves or anything that might come and try to mess up their hard work, plus she was careful not to drop any. Making her way back to the other mannequins they had already lined up by the door. Setting the last of the mannequins down she made sure they were neatly done and then headed off to her next class.

Where was that girl when you needed her? Lex was searching the whole place for the bloody puffer and for once she couldn't be found. Merlin, leave it to Laura to be there when you didn't need her but conveniently gone when you did. Ugh. If this wasn't so important she would have given her a piece of her mind when she found her but as things stood she had to be all civil about things so she could get her homework done.

Of course there was the fact that she didn't know whether or not Laura would agree...but she had to. She owed Lex for bullying her back then and getting her in trouble. Yup.

When she thought about it the girl couldn't say no. Now where was she?!

Laura was walking around the castle when suddenly she saw the person who had been wanting to speak to her, she had no idea why Lex would want to speak to her about anything, didn't Lex hate her, wasn't that why she had broke her wand, so why would she want anything to do with her. "Hello Alexa." Laura gave the small firstie a smile. "You wanted to speak to me?" Laura was curious about what Alexa wanted.

Lex forced away the scowl that had formed when she saw Laura. Civil Lex. The scowl was replaced by the best smile she could manage. "Hi Laura." Came her short response. "Yeah I did. I was wondering if you'd help me practise those spells for DADA class...I already have a bit of practice so I don't think I'll be able to do any permanent damage and even if I do it won't matter 'cause the Healer's just a few floors down." She said with an indifferent shrug, making it seem like not such a big deal.

The best person to do this homework with was Laura. If something did go wrong then she wouldn't have cared nearly as much as if it was with someone she actually cared about. Using Laura was a safety measure and a risk she was more than willing to take.

Laura looked at Alexa and smiled. "I will help you." Laura wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not but she would help Alexa. "But only if you will help me do mine at the same time." Laura thought this was going to be awesome, but if Alexa didn't help Laura with her homework then Laura wasn't going to help Alexa with hers and if someone got injured or hurt at least she knew the healer was around because she still didn't trust Alexa.

Alexa had to pause for a minute to really give that some thought. The girl wasn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box and she didn't want her aiming a wand at her BUT she needed to get her homework done and there was no way she was gonna ask someone else.

"Okay..." She said a bit hesitantly. "I guess we'll just practice together then--but I'm going first." That way even if something did go wrong she'd still be able to say she'd gotten her homework done. "Right, so I guess I'll start with the numbing one. Are you okay with that??" Since she was going first she'd let Laura decide.

Laura looked at Alexa and smiled. "Okay then I'm ready when you are." Laura wasn't really sure if she was or not but well there was only one way to find out and that was to actually do the work, she didn't really think it was a good idea to let Alexa start but whatever at least if she got hurt she could tell Professor Romanos that it wasn't her fault she didn't do the homework it was Alexa because she had hurt her.

Good. Laura didn't have a problem with her going first. Not that it mattered seeing as she probably would have cast it on her anyway just to see if she could.

"Okay." She said, pulling the wand from its holding on her waist. "I said we'd be doing the finger numbing spell first so here we go." She made the upside-down U a couple times just to make sure she hadn't forgotten the wand movement then she went on to mutter the incantation over and over as well. As much as she didn't care what happened to Laura she still wanted to get this spell right...plus...if she was being honest she might have felt bad if she hurt the girl--just a litte.

"Ready. Petrificus Digitirus!" Once she spell was cast she gave Laura a look. "Well...how does your hand feel?" STARE.

Laura looked at Alexa and then felt her hand start to hurt. "Well my fingers are stuck together." Laura try to move her fingers but she couldn't. "I think that is how it's suppost to be though." Laura was actually in shock that Alexa had managed to do something right, if it wasn't because she had this funny feeling Alexa could work when she wanted to she would have fainted on the spot there and then.

"It actually worked?!" Well that was a little bit of a shock, not too much though seeing as she'd gotten some practice in class. Still...she couldn't help but want to make sure that what happened just now wasn't a complete stroke of luck.

"Hey Laura I'm gonna try on the other hand too okay? Okay. Great!" Then without giving the girl a chance to respond she did that upside-down U again, this time aiming at the girl's other hand. "Petrificus Digitirus!"

Her eyes widened in anticipation as she waited to see if it worked. Here's to hoping it did because even if it had scared Laura it would have made her feel so much better. "Is that hand numb too????" Please say it waaaaas.

Laura looked at her over hand and then tried to move her fingers but couldn't. "I think it has." Laura smiled at Alexa and then realised something. "How do you make it so you can move your fingers?" Laura sighed because at the minute she couldn't do much else and Laura wasn't happy about it, she was hoping that soon she would be able to at least move her fingers, so she could get her wand out, she didn't trust Alexa to get it for her she would break it.

"Yaaaaay!" Lex squealed a bit when she heard that her second attempt had been successful as the first. This clearly meant that she'd gotten the hang of this spell. Psssh and here she thought it would have been more difficult.

In the middle of her little celebration she heard Laura asking how to remove the spell. "Hmm...I think the Finite charm should work..." Though she wasn't really sure. Meh, that had to be it. Most things could be put to an end using it so the girl had nothing to worry about. Lex even went as far as to cast that spell to remove the hex then turned her eyes to Laura's hands to see if she could move her fingers again.

Hopefully that worked as well as the hexes because she wasn't in the mood to hear the girl whining--or worse CRYING. She could have handled anything but that. There, you should be good now, yes?"

Laura looked at Alexa and she nearly said it had better work for your sake but she stopped herself just in time, she had no idea what would happen when Alexa took the spell off and once again she was in shock it worked. "WOW!!!!!" Laura quickly gave Alexa a hug, then she stopped and moved away she hadn't just done that had she. "That was awesome Alexa" Laura smiled and then she took out her wand. "It's my turn now." Laura so hoped that she would be able to do it or she would have been upstaged by a firstie.

At school so not sure how far apart the responses will be >.<
 

Huh?

Another spell that actually worked?? Like seriously? She was on a roll! The Professor had the right idea when she told them to go off practising the spells. It was doing wonders for her confidence!

She jumped a little when Laura suddenly shouted but before she could have a reaction the girl was hugging her. Dear. Merlin. EWWWW! of course she didn't say that out loud but goodness, did she have to give her a hug??? Jeesh. Fine. She would be okay with the hug--for now. It was no big deal. People hugged her at random anyway.

Now for the part she wasn't so sure about. Unfortunately she'd already practised on the girl so she couldn't back down. Nope. That was one thing she would never do so she took a deep breath. "Okay." Lex extended her hand to her. "Ready when you."

Laura looked at Alexa and smiled, well for once they were getting along which was strange because they hated each other, well Laura didn't hate Alexa she just wanted a proper appology for the wand breaking incident which was totally Alexa fault as was the detention, Laura still didn't know why she got the detention.

Laura smiled as she looked at her wand, she just hoped that the wand would work properly she had been having a bit of trouble with it lately but well she would get a new one this summer that would be like her old one, she pointed her wand at Alexa and said. ""Petrificus Digitirus!" Laura looked at Alexa's hand. "Did it work?" Laura was hoping it had.

Lex squeezed her eyes shut when the girl raised her wand at her. As far as she was concerned there was a very slim chance that Laura would actually get It right and a more likely chance that she would lose her hand altogether. When idiots had wands bad things happened.

She opened her eyes when she felt a tingling sensation in her hands. So lex wasn't an expert but she knew for a fact that that wasn't supposed to happen. Her eyes fell to her hand that was clearly not numb. "Ummm...you did something to my hand but I don't think you did the RIGHT thing. she scowled slightly. "Fix it now then try again.

This wasn't in least bit funny.

Laura looked at Alexa and sighed. "Okay I'll sort it out." Laura thought about leaving it like it was but well she didn't want to get into trouble raising her wand she said the finate spell and then she looked at Alexa hand, she didn't even wait to see if the finate spell worked, she wanted to get the spell right and so she was going to go for it straight away.

Laura smiled at Alexa. "Petrificus Digitirus!" Laura pointed her wand at Alexa fingers, she was hoping it would work, because if it didn't she would blame Alexa for giving her a dud wand, because it would totally be Alexa fault, she knew how to do the spells.

Of course she was going to sort it out. She had to. Lex had no intention of walking around with a tingling hand for the rest of her life and she might have considered breaking a piece of Laura if she decided to leave it this way. Last time she got in trouble for breaking her wand and the Professor clearly said that it didn't matter whether or not she'd broken some part of her so they were clearly not opposed to violence. Something Laura should have taken into serious consideration.

Once her hand was back to normal she braced herself yet again. This time she couldn't feel anything below her wrist.

Okay. That...was...supposed to happen, yes? Yes. "I think you got it right this time, great--now fix it." It was right; no need to dwell on it.

Laura looked over at Alexa and smiled as the spell worked, she was thinking of leaving it on that way maybe Alexa would realise that she couldn't go around breaking her wand and getting away with it but she was scared she would get a detention and she had promised her twinnie she wouldn't get another one this term and she was going to try and keep the promise this time, she had already let down her bestie.

Laura said the Finate spell, she didn't too but she knew she had too because otherwise when Alexa could she would slap her or something strange like that it was just in Alexa's nature too do that and Laura didn't want to get into a fight today. "What next Alexa?" Laura smiled at the girl in front of her.

She eyed the girl suspiciously when she saw her reluctance at removing the spell. If things were gonna continue like this then she wasn't going to practise with her because she couldn't be bother to think that the girl would actually want to leave a spell on her. She might not have liked her but even she wouldn't have wanted to leave the spell.

Moving on.

"Next we'll be working on the Torparticus spell. I hope you know that one too?" And with that she shot her a questioning glance. There was NO WAY she would practise this with her if she didn't because this one was a bit more tricky and everything could go wrong. "Well do you know it or not?" She asked, not waiting long enough for her to reply the first time.

Laura looked at Alexa and rolled her eyes. "No I don't know the spell." Seriously she had been listening in class and she had been working hard, seriously why had she agreed to be Alexa's partner, she felt sorry for the person who normally was her partner, maybe they wanted the day off today so Alexa had to ask her. "Of course I know the spell stupid." Laura smirked, yeah she had called Alexa stupid but it was a dump question.

"HAHAHAHAHA!" Yuuup, she was laughing, "That was a good one Hyde." And more laughing. If she didn't then she would have punched her and walked away feeling quite satisfied. No one would even have to know and if the girl went and told a Professor it would be her word against hers. What's the worst the girl would do? Cry like last time?

"Now can you stop being hilarious long enough for us to get through the next spell or do I have to find someone else?" Someone with a brain preferably.

And with that she shot her a patient stare. No matter the outcome she'd be fine with it but she was tired of wasting time.

Laura smiled at Alexa. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Laura couldn't help but laugh when Alexa spoke. "I'm being Hilarious?" Laura giggled. "I think your the one being Hilarious." Laura felt like slapping Alexa and making her cry like the girl had done to her and the best thing was if she had done it no one was around to tell her off but she wouldn't. "But we need to get this finished so we should work together like I know we can." Laura smiled at Alexa. "Want to go first?" Laura was hoping to get this done.

The smile Left Lex's face. It didn't seem like the girl understood sarcasm and she didn't want her getting the wrong message if that was the case. They were here for work; nothing more.

Oh and she wanted her going first. Good because she planned to go first anyway. Now how did that spell go again? It had that jabbing thing to it...yeah and obviously she knew the command so that wouldn't be a problem either. It was even a bonus knowing that she was practising on someone she didn't care very much about. Without warning she raised her wand and did the jabbing motion. "Torparticus!"

Lex eyed her curiously, waiting to see the response. Then she'd know if she got it right or not.

Laura smiled at Alexa. "I'm really sorry for calling you stupid and I'm really sorry for upsetting you in detention." Laura decided it was time to try and put things right between them, since otherwise things could get a lot worse and Laura didn't want that to happen.

Laura looked at her hand as she felt it tingle but nothing else happened. "Is this suppost to happen?" Laura felt like she had pins and needles in her hands, she was sure something else should happen. "can you please stop it." Laura sighed.

For a moment Lex thought to ignore every single letter of every word the girl just said but then, if she did, the girl would never learn and she wouldn't know any better. Instead she shot her a fiery look of defiance. "That's NOT what I want you to be sorry for and apologizing for that tells me that you honestly don't think that the thing you actually did was wrong, making you not mean a word of that apology and me not caring."

There. Did she figure it out yet? Apologies were good and generally accepted but NOT when the person was apologizing for the wrong thing.

"Now let's focus on the spell please." She eyed her hand...the fingers more specifically then gave a nod. "Yeah...that's supposed to happen now gimme a minute; I'll fix it when I'm done." Because one casting wasn't enough to prove that she knew the spell.

Lex aimed her wand at her next hand and repeated the jabbing motion. "Torparticus!" STARE.

Laura looked at Alexa and tried to think what she had done wrong, she decided to try again. "Okay I'm sorry for getting you into trouble." Laura sighed, was Alexa going to accept this one or not well only time would tell.

Laura looked at Alexa as she felt her fingers burning now that surely wasn't right. "I want water." Laura sighed, seriously she wanted water to calm down whatever was causing the burning sensation in her hand.

Lex scoffed at that one. Getting her in trouble? Seriously? Lex would have done that on her own anyway. She didn't need anyone to get her in trouble so that was also NOT what she should have been sorry for. "I said to drop so let's just do that 'cause you obviously don't see what's right infront of you." Or maybe she didn't want to see. Either way Lex was not impressed.

Burning?

How in Merlin's beard was her hand burning? Okay so maybe that wasn't supposed to happen. "Uhhh..." She tried thinking about it for a moment. "Ummm..."

Oh right, the finite spell. That could work. With a flick of her wand she cast it at Laura's hand. "Are you okay now?"

Laura was not impressed with Alexa "Alexa I'm really sorry about upsetting you." Laura smiled that had to be the reason right if not she had no idea what she had done and at the minute she didn't like the feeling in her hand at the minute.

Laura smiled when Alexa used the finite spell. "Thank Alexa, that feels a lot better." Laura then decided to try and cheer Alexa up. "You can do it Alexa." Laura held out her hand ready for Alexa to try again.

SIGH. Why couldn't this girl just let it rest??

"I said ENOUGH with the apologizing jeez!!! I don't care how sorry you are about those STUPID things you did, alright?! I don't care that you got me in trouble--I could've done that myself! I don't care that you annoyed me in detention, it made things more FUN for me and I don't care that you think you keep upsetting me 'cause my step-mother does that anyway. But you know what REALLY annoys me?" Yeah, she was fired up now. She'd had enough of the girl and her apologies. "You really wanna know?! It's that you never said sorry for PICKING ON ME! You NEVER admitted that you were the one who ran into me and started looking for trouble." It annoyed her beyond belief. "I'm a lot of things but I'm NOT a bully. The way you tell it, I seem like the bad guy when it was YOUR BLOODY FAULT!! Now stop apologizing because you only care about yourself and how you look to others!"

There. Now they could move on to the pressing issue of her hand that seemed to be burning? Right. The girl must have gotten the hint and if she was smart she would have tried making up for it--quickly.

Lex sighed a little in relief when she said her hands were fine again. This meant she wouldn't have to waste her time following her to the nurse or the DADA Professor. She nodded in approval as Laura decided to be a strong little trooper by offering her hands again. After taking a deep breath she decided to try again.

"Torparticus." JAB. It had to work! It just had to because now all she wanted to do was sleep. Just sleep and forget about today.

Laura had no idea why this girl was shouting at her, she was trying to be nice. "Alexa, I'm really sorry for picking on you and I am sorry for bumping into you, but you didn't have to go and break my wand did you." Laura sighed. "Is there anything I can do to make it upto you?" Laura was really hoping that they could at least see eye to eye after today.

Laura smiled when Alexa did the spell and she felt her hand tingling and then it felt like jelly. "Alexa that is awesome." Laura smiled. "I think you've got it." Laura wanted to have a go at doing it now if Alexa would let her.

Perhaps it would have been better if she hadn't said anything. The girl was still missing the whole point. "Don't you get it? Stop mentioning me breaking your wand because you refuse to mention that you drove me to it. You wanna know if I really had to break your wand? Well the answer's YES. It was either that or your face for what you did to me so now you can thank me and we can move on." Like she'd been saying for a while now.

Once she got that bit out as well she removed the spell once more. Now it would be her turn and she would have to allow Laura to try. This deal was becoming less and less appealing by the minute.

"Okay. Go ahead whenever you're ready." She said as she extended her non-wand hand. You know. Just incase.

Laura was trying her hardest to appologise to Alexa but the girl just didn't want to hear anything from her maybe she would try again later, she was sorry for bumping into Alexa and making it out that Alexa was a bully but the girl just didn't seem to want to listen to anything she said.

Laura decided it was time to practice the Torparticas spell and hopefully Alexa would be okay because Laura wasn't sure how good she would be with this spell. "Torparticus!!" Laura said concentrating on Alexa hand whilst doing the wand movement, hopefully Alexa would be okay and the spell would work right.

FINALLY.

It seemed the girl had dropped it and she could move on with her life. Lex stood patiently waiting for Laura to cast the spell but had to take a good look at her when she realized that her hand felt no different. "I don't think you did it right...in fact I don't think you did anything at all."

For a moment she tried flexing her hand just to make sure it wasn't that her hand had simply gone numb and when she saw all fingers moving she knew the spell didn't work. Greeeeaaaaat, so she'd have to stay here with the girl even longer. Lex forced on a smile. "It's fine. Just try again."
