While the firsties head off down the street toward the boats, the second years and up head the opposite direction. Just a hop off the platform, a short walk down a forest path, and you see the long line of carriages waiting for the students.
They appear to be pulled by ... nothing, but those who know history or tragedy know what's tugging the carriages along. Four per cabin, please, and do remain seated the entire ride.
"Thestrals pull them," She supplied breathlessly as she clamored into the carriage behind the older girl. Dora had been extremely hesitant to grab onto the portkey. Who REALLY knew where the thing lead to? And what was up with the train acting up anyway? So many questions, but she couldn't really focus on them while pulling her luggage behind her too.
It was too much work to find a carriage with her friends or a familiar face or anything, so this one would have to due while she caught her breath. "You can't see them though, on account of them being invisible to anyone who hasn't seen a death and all." She paused to get comfortable. "I haven't seen any deaths though, so I can't see 'em either."
Sarah got into the carriage and made herself comfortable. She looked around for someone she knew. Then she spotted her, the girl from the ice cream shop. Sarah came just in time to hear what the girl was saying. "I cannot see the thestrals either, thankfully." she said a bit loudly - she hadn't meant to because she was working on herself and it was rude to interupt and such. She looked a bit flustered "sorry for butting in like that, it was a bit rude. I am Sarah by the way. And you are Isidora? We met at the ice cream parlour."
Sarah turned to the other girl, "Hello, I am Sarah, second year like Isidora, I don't think we've met"

James sat down in the carriage he and Alice were to go into and immediately just stretched out. It eased some of the pain in his arm and his ribs. "Ugh...." he groaned.

She hadn't seen her roomie at ALL over the Summer and had missed her. Like, lots. She wriggled a litte and got off, sitting back in her seat. "I'VE MISSED YOU!!!" And restrained herself from bear!hugging her friend again. Hehehe.
After Bliss had left the platform, splitting off from both Elise and Glenn, she made her way towards the carriages. She was a little...okay, a lot scared. What if she got in big kids!? What if they hated her? S-she didn't want that. Why couldn't she just..go in the boats? That would make a whole lot more sense to her. Anyway, she was here now and might as well get in a carriage already, before they'd all gone. So she plucked up as much courage as possible and with her good hand, tugged open a carriage door. The first person she saw, she didn't know, but she looked around her own age. The second person was..
"BLUE, BLUE, BLUEEEE! Twinneh!" She practically squealed, this was great! She did pick a good carriage after. She climbed in and sat down opposite the girl and Blue. She adjusted how she was sat, so that she leaning against the carriage wall and had her broken wrist cradled in her, slightly levitated, arm.

Despite not being able to see what was pulling the carriage, Terry knew exactly what they were. Thestrals. His mum had told him lots about them, that they could only be seen after viewing a tragedy. A bit sad. In a way it made Terry glad that he wasn't able to see them. The boy heard a name being called out from within a carriage and he instantly recognised it. Blue was such an unusual name that he was certain there would be no one else with that name in the school. He stepped up into the carriage and his eyes fell across upon who inhabited it.
His lips fell into a grin when he saw Blue, quickly followed by Bliss, two girls in his year. He then noticed the other girl who was there with them, one he hadn't met yet. "Hello" he greeted them all then turned to the other girl. "I'm Terry" he introduced himself to her.
"Is it okay if I join you all?" he asked politely.

Bliss was soooooo glad that she'd found a carriage with her twinnie in it, what luck was that. Her head felt like it was going to explode with the amount of happiness she felt. Minus the broken wrist. She pulled herself up, sitting in a more comfortable position and leaned forward, looking out of the carriage and stopped another friend. "Terry!" She said and grinned at the boy, who was now entering the carriage. "Of course you can," she said, hoping that the other girl wouldn't mind and patted the empty space next to her.

Suddenly the door was flung open and her name was being SCREAMED. "ARGHHHHHHHHHH!" Blue almost jumped through the carriage roof and just leaned back into her chair, shock still on her face when she realized who exactly was after climbing into the carriage. A BEAM split across her face. "TWINNIEEEEEEEH!" Yaaay! She turned to Mika. "Pig!Girl, this is Bliss. She's just as awesome as we are, but she's not a Ravenclaw. She's a Hufflepuff. And she's mah soul twin!" Hehehe. There. Mika had the low down on Bliss. Hehehe. Blue eyed her twinnieh's hand. "Are you okay?" Obviously not but whatever.
Then the door opened a second time (or third to Mika) and TERRY came in. Blue BEAMed at him. "HAI Terry! That's Terry." She added unnecessarily to Mika even though he'd already introduced himself. "He's a SECOND year too, which means he's awesome and can sit with us." she smiled at him and nodded her head at the seat across from her beside Bliss.

Squeeing Elodie's hand again as she lead the way to one of the last carriages. Merlin this had been an exhausting day and they weren't even IN the castle yet. Who knew what was going to happen at the feast. Actually, no, Kurumi did not want to think about any of that right now. She just wanted to sit in the carriage and...
"Oh, right...I forgot I can see you guys now," Kurumi whispered with a sad smile as she reached out slowly with one hand and stroked its leathery nose with the back of her hand. Thestrals... misunderstood creatures and frighteningly beautiful. She almost wished she had a piece of raw meat to hand to them, but that would only remind her of the mild war zone that they were finally leaving. "Alright Elodie, in you go."
Climbing into the carriage herself, Kurumi almost looked for Walnut before remembering that she had left him with Alice. Alice...poor thing...she would be alright though. She had to be.
Looking forward now, Kurumi saw Nessie looking worse for wear. Yeah, the day had taken a toll on everyone. "Nessie, you alright?"

James sat down in the carriage he and Alice were to go into and immediately just stretched out. It eased some of the pain in his arm and his ribs. "Ugh...." he groaned.
Sebastian walked up to the carriages with the Slytherin by his side and the young Gryffindor levitating in front of him on stretcher. It would be nice to know their names but with everything going on, he hadn't the time to ask them.
"You right there mate?" Seb asked as he gently put the Gryffindor into one of the carriages and when she was safely in place, he lowered his wand and turned to look at the lad.
Louisa paused a little looking concerned with the injured students, some were even on a stretcher! She couldn't make their faces out, probably because she didn't look well into them. She was more concerned about getting up on a carriage and just get out of this dark place, it made her skin crawl. The Ravenclaw moved quickly between the already full vehicles, glad that she couldn't see the Thestrals breathing and shuffling about. She scanned the faces of almost every group in the carriages she passed by, most of them were already chatting and energetically discussing this thing or that... until she spotted a face she was actually tempted to be with in this creepy day....

It was kind of weird, actually, to be pulled by an invisible, yet still physical being. Milton wondered if he could touch the thestrals... but decided against it.
He just wanted FOOD. So people should, like, HURRY and get their tushies on the carriages. NAO.

After a relatively short walk, Em spied the carriages. Hurray! Picking up her speed a little, she made her way to the first one, waving a greeting to the shopkeeper standing there. "Hello!" she said, little cheerier than she felt, before climbing into the carriage. It had been a looooonnnnngg afternoon.

It was only then that he noticed another fellow. Wasnt this guy a shopkeeper down by the village? Helping out? Second job? Regardless, he gets a respectful nod from this Ravenclaw "Good day Sir." he greeted the man before climbing in the nearest carriage to him, which he found out was already occupied "Hello Milton--Captain." he said to the fellow who inherited Ellie's badge, then gave another "Hello" to the girl (Emmanuelle) who he's seen around in his classes but wasnt overly familiar with.
With the bird cage on his lap and the pup buggy by his feet, he settles himself into his corner of the carriage and lets out a long sigh. The hassle! It was almost like traveling through Muggle airports...
Without permission, Louisa climbed into the carriage along with Milton Vickers and the blonde girl sitting along. She flopped down on the nearest and possibly the only vacant seat. Not as close as one would think she wanted to be with the face's owner but it would do. "Get this carriage moving already, for Merlin's sake," she grumbled quietly.
... did she have to introduce herself to the girl? She could try looking at her first and, "I don't know your name but I've seen you around." Okay... that was Louisa being friendly. It was said very friendlily... and coolly.

As if he'd been honestly concerned about her getting lost, unless it was just that he was creeped out by the thestrals too and having her there made him feel safer. That could have been the case, but she still set Accio down on the carriage seat before turning back to her friend. "I don't think the thestrals are going to try to eat you," she said, even as he'd spoken. "Maybe you shoudl get in the carriage anyway, though. Just in case." She was glad that Orion had gotten through it all okay too. She didn't say it, but she was. Plus, she didn't think scraped knees would gain the notice of the thestrals, but either way, Patrick really should get in the carriage unless he wanted to walk to Hogwarts. It wasn't really that far, but after everything else that had happened she didn't think walking was something that sounded like fun.
She'd taken another bite of her chocolate bar before she'd really registered the last part of what he'd said, still waiting for him to get in the carriage. That got another curious look, however. "I kinda fell on Mika when the train stopped. And then crashed after the portkey, but no. Nothing bad happened to me," she replied. There hadn't been any dementors or zombies invading the train. Just the redhaired lady and then that man from the Ministry with the portkeys. The portkeys hadn't even taken her anywhere weird, so she honestly didn't know why he would have been worried. He was the one with scraped knees standing out there with the thestrals. She should be worried about him.
The wonders of why he had been worried about her more so than he had before started to run through his mind as Kendall had spoken about maybe getting in the carriage, Patrick quickly snapped from that thought and ended up getting in the carriage; quickly setting down the messenger bag full of chocolate down as he had taken a seat across from her and rest Orion's cage in his lap. "Oh I wasn't scared of the thestrals, even if I can't see them." Sure that should have automatically meant that he needed to be afraid but that wasn't the case this time, there was nothing to fear now since they were going to Hogwarts; even after the slight detour thanks to the train oddly breaking down, he still was rather curious as to what caused that to happen. "I was honestly wondering what was going to happen when the train broke down, I mean they couldn't just leave us on the train without being able to get us to Hogwarts somehow." If there hadn't been the porkeys, he figured that they would have had to walk and that would have taken a little while considering taking the train was much faster than walking but he wasn't too concerned about that now; not when he was sitting in a thestral led carriage with a lot of chocolate. You know if you keep talking, you won't end up getting her to suspect that there's something you're not saying. Hmm, that wasn't wrong honestly since he hadn't been quite sure how to explain why it was that he'd been worried; he didn't even know what was going on nor did he want to ask anyone about it.
As soon as she had began to explain what happened when the train came to a screeching halt, he finished off the last of his licorice wands before relaxing slightly; there wasn't a need to eat much more since there was going to be a lot of food once they got to the school. "Okay then, at least nothing bad had happened. I sorta almost ended up crashing into a wall when I got up since I lost my balance from the fall, but at least I only ended up with scraped knees that'll heal on their own." He was a tough kid, that ended up worrying about his friend a lot more than he thought that he should have; but that wasn't important now. Instead he had looked out at the platform to see everyone scrambling to be where they were supposed to, at least that provided a distraction.

Oh, they seemed to be casually greeting each other. Perhaps it was a bit of an exaggeration how she just reacted like that when Indy came. What? She thought she might be a possible girlfriend and perhaps the jealous one, yes? no? Then Daichi stood beside her closer, she looked back at him with a smile. "I-i'm fine" she stuttered a bit. Well, she think she is fine somehow. The bruise on her knee may sting a little bit though.
Lets get in a carriage.
Juliet nodded to this. They shouldn't be waiting for much longer, half of the people had already took their rides back to Hogwarts. With the empty carriage in front of them, Juliet signaled to go first as she immediately sat down into the empty seat. Accck!!! Juliet chewed on her lower lip but in a different direction as Daichi and Indy. The stinging sensation on her bruised knee is really there. It is a fresh wound after all but again, it is not something she could not manage.
Looking back at the two, she smiled at them "Let's go, guys"

He was so excited, in fact he was beyond excited, he was going to Hogwarts! He'd always wanted to go there but his mother hadn't let him go for his first year. And here he could see the castle, looming up in front of him over the top of the trees. It looked absolutely amazing and he couldn't wait to get in there and look at the Great Hall for the first time.
Bliss was the first person to talk to him in the carriage and he grinned as she let him in. "Thanks!" he sat down next to her in the empty seat and looked around. "This is such a fancy way to get to school" he chuckled. It did look really cool and grand. He knew that Muggles wouldn't enter their schools like they did.
He frowned as he saw her move her wrist as if she was hurt. "What happened?" he looked down at her wrist.

Then Blue was quick to speak after Bliss had and he smiled across at her. He waved at the other girl when she introduced him to her, Terry was a friendly person and he wanted more friends at school, especially seeing as she seemed to be in the same year as he was. He blushed when she said he was awesome. "Thanks" he smiled.
"Hogwarts looks amazing" he gasped as he looked up at the castle. "I can't wait to get inside" The rat within his pocket squeaked as if she was excited too.
Annabeth sat in one of the carriages on her own, she missed Sam, she hadn't seen him in the holidays, or on the train. As she was on her own, she decided to read her book, nobody was coming anywhere near her so she began to read. But she soon put the book down, and looked at the creature pulling the carriage, a thestral, unfortunatly, she could see them, her mother died when she was a year old, leaving her with her father but 5 years later he went missing, and she still didn't know where he was. Her uncle looked after her until he died in her first year at Hogwarts and now she had run away from the Chases who were looking after her.
This year, she had to get all of her school things on her own, and make her way to the train on her own, it was because of that she nearly missed the train. Hopefully, this year would prove to be luckier than her others. Where are you Sam? she thought.

Alice still wasn't sure if she could walk on her leg, even with the splinter-y thing on, so she awkwardly hopped on one foot over to a carriage. Her broken leg hung awkwardly to the side. Just seeing the angle at which it twisted made her uneasy. She needed to get to the Healer as quickly as possible.
James was riding with her. She definitely felt less lonely and awkward with him around. She stretched her broken leg out oddly in front of her, making sure not to bend it. If she did, surely, it would be in more pain then it already was. But James still didn't seem to be feeling any better. "Are you okay, James-y?" she asked him. She hoped he wouldn't start crying again. It was bad when he did.
She turned to Mr. Seb Man. "When we get to Hogwarts, am I supposed to go to the Healer first? Or.. or can I go to the feast with my splint thingy?" She didn't have a problem going to the feast with a broken leg. But it was necessary that she did not miss it. The Healer could wait for HER.. maybe not for James, though...

For sure, it was really fast of bringing them to the Hogsmeade station in less than one minute but then it was surely not a pleasant ride.
"Ouch!"the lioness exclaimed as she fell onto the ground after the ride. Luckily she didn't fall on her head or else...she just couldn't imagine what would happen next. She was not seriously injured, just a few bruises on her ankles and it just hurts a little. No big deal. All she felt right now was...dizziness. Those turning and rolling during the ride made her want to throw up at once but luckily she didn't.
Tiffany closed her eyes for a few minutes so as to take a little rest and to get the dizziness out of her head as she heard someone else calling out for her. She turned around and found the apple boy heading towards her. "Gary, I'm okay,"she nodded as she gave out a smile, assuring him that she was alright. "Just a few bruises. No worries. And you?"she added as she scanned through his body. Hopefully he was not injured. Taking his hand, she was able to stand up and walk by herself. She looked around and found that the groudkeeper has already been here to pick them up. "Where to go now?"she asked, as she put her wand back into her pocket.
Good to know she wasn't seriously injured, just a few bruises. Gary just smiled to her. "I'm okay." he replied short. Then he help Tiffany to stand up. "You're a little bit heavy." suddenly he commented. Well, it wasn't an important thing to say actually. The blonde guy now paid attention around. Now, they had arrived at the Hogsmeade. It did mean that Hogwarts was not too far from here, right?
Then, what's next?
The blonde guy watched some students walked to the carriages. Of course they would reach Hogwarts by them. "We should continue by them." said him pointing the magic carriages. Then he walked to them with Tiffany. "Let's go!" He took an empty carriage and sat there. He wasn't alone because Tiffany joined him. This term would gonna be so epic. They were greeted by the problem at the train, then journey by portkey. That made him sooo.. exhausted and also hungry.

Elodie was pretty darn certain she was not riding in a carriage without Kurumi, for the pure fact that she just wanted to feel safe. And she felt safe with the older girl. She didn't know why, but upon further consideration, Els would realise that the girl reminded her of her mother. When they relocated their carriage, Els settled her hand back into Kurumi's for the little walk between the initial one, and their new one.
Clambering into the carriage, Elodie's eyes bulged again. There was something fluffy and still in that girls HANDS. IN HER HANDS. SHE WAS HOLDING DEATH. WAS SHE RESPONSIBLE?!!!!
At the utter fright of that, Elodie pulled back onto a seat and huddled herself in the corner, blanket still occupying the nose. Calming. Caaaaalming down. That was all she needed. To calm down.

James looked over at the groundskeeper. "I know I broke my arm...and at least cracked a rib or two...I hit the ground pretty hard from the portkey" he explained, his face contorted in pain.
Looking over at Alice, he smiled a little. "I'll be okay, Alice" he told her. KNowing she didn't like him crying, he sniffed and wiped away any remaining tears. "I'm not gonna cry" he assured her gently.
He looked back up at the groundskeeper. "The name's Baron, by the way. James Baron" he cracked another small smile.

She knew he'd be good company, he was usually good with these things and nknew what to say.
A few more steps and then, Nessie saw all the carriages before her. She couldn't see the thestrals, but she had heard from people that they were there. In a way this was a good sign, this meant that Puffles had to be alright, because if he had passed out surely she'd see the thestrals. She breathed a sigh of relief, calming down at this now. They'd be there soon..and soon Puffles would be alright. That was all that mattered.
Waiting to the carriage, Ness gave Puffles a small stroke as she kept him safely in her hands. "It'll be alright." she whispered to him and then began climbing onto an empty carriage.

Lady Kurumi knew her. That was good. :3

It had seemed that Charmer wasn't going to eat Puffles after all. His cat was just as worried about the supposed dead Pygmy Puff.
Oakey wasn't going to let his cat test out his theories on whether or not it was dead, the Pygmy Puff wasn't a yarn ball. So he held onto his black cat tightly under his right arm.
Good thing Renesmee wasn't alone either because as they trekked their way up to the Carriages Kurumi and a smaller girl were walking in pace with them. Guess they were sharing a the carriage with these two. Which was fine with Oakey, Kurumi was always great company and he could always make a new friend. As he reached the carriage he hopped up after the little girl, and held is hand for Renesmee to get on while she cradled her pet. That's when he heard what she said. Is she dead, really? way to be blunt and get straight to the point with Renesmee's situation. "No." Oakey said slightly annoyed that she would ask such a question. "and I'll make sure it isn't." He turned his head back to the girl who had huddled herself in the corner. "Hey, do you wanna hold my cat?" Oakey asked her as it seemed she needed to feel a little more comfortable with the three of them.
Where had Kurumi gone? Oakey turned his attention back outside and looked around to the front of the carriage where he saw the gryffindor Prefect petting air. Well okay it wasn't air, but Oakey knew what it was that pulled these carriages. A great big frown escaped his face, "Kurumi, you can see them?" The answer seemed obvious because he could see the saddened smile on her face as she pet the invisible creature.

Because of the president's daughter Nate was all by his lonesome in a carriage with nobody else, and he was about to just burst into tears. He held on to the necklace squeezing it tighter and tighter. Then Nate felt a tear roll down his face. He turned around to face the thestrals so that no one could see he was crying. When Nate got to the castle he wasn't going to talk to anybody for a while. If the president's daughter wasn't there he'd be perfectly fine sitting with Gideon, but she had to go and say he was faking his pain.

After Bliss opened the carriage door, a scream? came from it. Either someone didn't want to be interrupted or they were scared or shocked or..well, who know, Bliss thought and peered around the side of the door. Bliss grinned at her twinneh as she appeared to almost, almost break the carriage. Which was probably within Blue's abilities! GIGGLE. "Twinneh, I missed chuuu!" She exclaimed, wide eyed, trying to get across just how much Blue had been missed. Bliss listened as Blue exclaimed to..Mika everything about her, that mattered. XD Then Bliss hesitated, looking down at her bandaged wrist. "I..ermm...I fell when the train stopped and it's kinda broken." Bliss whimpered, as she was reminded of the PAIN she was in.

Bliss had to move a little so the Terry could sit down and in the process she knocked her bandaged wrist. "Ouch," she whispered and winced. It hurt still. A lot. To take her mind off the pain, she looked up at Terry. "No problem!" She said as he took the seat next to her. Bliss giggled as he said that. "It issss!" She agreed and looking around the carriage. How many people in other schools could say that they go to school in a carriage!
Bliss was suddenly reminded of her wrist, as if she needed reminding. The splint seemed to almost be digging into her wrist! MEH. "When the train stopped, I fell and..broke it." She said raising her hand a bit so that he could see properly that it was bandaged almost all the way up to her elbow.
Jory walked behind some students down the Forrest path. It wasn't a long walk and soon he joined the others as the were getting into the carriages he knew were pulled by thestrals. He would never forget the shock he had gotten the first time he came upon the carriages. Back then he didn't know of thestrals, of course.
The Badger got into one of them in which a third year female Ravenclaw was already sitting. "Hi there,'' Jory greeted her.
Silvia looked up when an older student joined her in the carriage. He was a Hufflepuff, wasn't he? She was pretty sure of it, though she otherwise didn't really know him. "Hello," she said in response to his greeting. Should she introduce herself? It wouldn't hurt to do so. "My name is Silvia."

As Harold continued to help the kids onto the carriages the shopkeeper felt a few raindrops land in his hair and then on his nose and shoulders. Looking at the sky it was easy to tell that a storm was coming and they would all be drenched for the feast if they didn't hurry up.
The students were still trailing up from the Platfrom so Hops decided they could get wet if they wanted to but he was heading out. He quickly hopped into a carriage filled with youngsters and rode up to the Castle in it, talking with them about the broken down Express. He would have to chat with the other Governors about that but first he needed a drink.

Sarah turned to the other girl, "Hello, I am Sarah, second year like Isidora, I don't think we've met"
"I know who you are, and we didn't met at the ice cream parlor, I saw you at the cafe with the color changing umbrellas." She smiled anyway and tried to make some room for the girl. Kinda hard with all the luggage though. "What do ya think happened back there? With the train stopping and all?" Dora was still trying to figure it out.

Sarah felt silly,"of course it was the cafe with the changing umbrella's... I went to the ice cream parlour after that, so I must have gotten confused. Yet now it is all coming back to me..." the was like the first time her memory failed her!
Sarah slipped into the space her friend made for her "I think the train stopped, it was not a mechanical fault, as i am sure the train is run through magic. That means it must have broken down through magic. Maybe it was dark magic or something. It was strange as I apparently heard that there was BoG members on board with us... do you think it was staged?" Sarah asked, her voice dropping lower for the last part.

With a little wibble, she yanked open the door to the carriage and got in. It took her a moment to realize someone else was in it and a squeal erupted from her and she nearly flung herself at Mika to hug her.
"MIKAAAAA OR MIA WHATEVER YOUR NAME ISSSS!!!!"
She hadn't seen her roomie at ALL over the Summer and had missed her. Like, lots. She wriggled a litte and got off, sitting back in her seat. "I'VE MISSED YOU!!!" And restrained herself from bear!hugging her friend again. Hehehe.
Mika smiled up to Terry and Blue - they were awesome right awesome people sat together in carriages! She chuckled, and returned Blue's overly welcome greeting.
"BLUE" she nearly giggle-screamed as she saw her friend. Awww Mika was happy that Blue hadn't decided to leave like Kaiden to say the least she was upset with him.
When Mika hugged her she couldn't help but squeeze her back in equally as awesome hug. Mika looked up to Terry and saluted him almost comically as what else would a girl nicknamed piggirl do? She smiled. "Pig Girl is my super-hero name" she nodded and flashed a GIGANTIC smile. "You can call me Mika if you like...well I like it so call me Mika!"
