If you're still looking for some fun however, off to one side is a chilly ice slide for some slip-sliding good times. Living proof that all you need is a good glisseo to provide plenty of entertainment. Just remember to keep warm and bundled up...you wouldn't want your bum to freeze off. And you just might want to be careful what you eat before you slide; wouldn't want the house-elves to have to clean anything up.

Belle nodded and patted Minnie on the shoulder. "I am always here to help and sometimes i have my moments of good advice." she added with a wink. "You know what i am gonna do? I am gonna dip the smore pizza into my hot coco. I wanna see how it tastes." Belle was a risk taker with food. She loved experimenting. Her cousins did it all the time.
Minerva's smile got bigger as she was hearing the games, "Oh don't forget Red Rover and Hide and Seek." She laughed, they could have been great childhood friends if they met in the States, "I loved all those games, those and just being out catching Lightning bugs, that was always fun as well." She did miss those games at times, it was easier times.
Minerva smiled, "I think you have great advice all the time Belle, you have never given me bad." Nope she hadn't remembered Belle ever giving her bad advice. She enjoyed having an older friend to turn to at times. Then she listened as she said she was going to try and dip her pizza into her hot chocolate, well that sounded interesting. "Well you try it and tell me how it is." Min could be risky, but she wasn't sure how that would taste.

Dylan eyed the giant ICE SLIDE...trying to decide whether to take it or not. Shrugging it off for now on account that his stomach was too full, he stepped around, flopping down on some of the pillows and cushions. Seriously, his belly was packed too tight...and in the land of all that was Dylan, that meant sleepy-time.
He lounged easily, stretching out and getting comfortable. Sweet Merlin, these pillows were awesome. Where had they found them? Were they goose-feathered or something? Peacock-feathered, maybe? Yep, one or two were getting stolen after everything was said and done.
Oh yes.
Feeling his eyes falling a little heavy, Dylan was close to drifting off...

"So you're a Pureblood?" since both of her parents had been at Hogwarts she had to be right? "I'm a Halfblood myself, my dad is a wizard and my mom..." He suddenly stopped talking and looked down at his lap, he blinked his eyes to control his emotions and let out a deep sigh. When he got it controlled he smiled again, although this time his smile did not reach his eyes. "M-my mom...was a muggle" yes , was.
He didn't want to go further in to the subject so he was actually glad that it got changed by the girl herself. Good! now he didn't have to think for a new thing to talk about. At the mention of her liking arts, Daichi's eyes went to her sketch book and he nodded his head. "You like to draw? can i see?"
At the mention of the Headmistress, Daichi began to puff his cheeks again. "You know i've never lost points before in the five years i've been here" and he had done alot of things like...ahem... Stealing a duck at the duckpond but getting caught by two Prefects and being send to Murdoch's hut. No points lost. Almost blowing up the Slytherin Prefect in his first year, no points lost... Blowing up the grounds? Warning from Bentley but no points lost. Ignoring Lafay? no points lost and not even a detention! Aaaaand Punching an ex Professor from CoMC and even then he didn't even loose points~ Guess his cuteness was a gift hehe.
There were actually more incidents but oh well... And he had gotten five points loss for showing his plushed duck! SERIOUSLY! " but the woman did promise me a reward if a found her brooch! A private Chef who cooks me aaaalllll the food i want~!" The Slytherin's mouth watered at the thought.
"You could..." He said almost in a whisper and leaned forward so that the girl could hear her. "You can be a spy if you want" Ah! to be a spy~! He had done that in his third year. Codename Ducky Boy hehe. "But don't mention my name, please i don't want to lose more points" in other words, go check!
The word Pureblood was always a bit strange for Eliza to hear. "Yeah, I guess that's what that makes me." She knew it was just a fact, and not derogatory towards her, but labeling people just seemed sort of silly to her. In fact, most witches and wizards were quite proud of their heritage, and she was too - it just wasn't really something that defined her, or that she thought worth saying. She knew he hadn't meant anything by it though, so she smiled and tried to sound uplifting when he mentioned his own parents. "Oh, I..." He did not want to seem to want to talk about this and she didn't want another awkward Cora incident. Besides, they'd only just started being friends, so she didn't want to ask anything too personal yet. "Yeah, I draw sometimes. Mostly doodles, you know. Nothing very good or anything..." Eliza was very modest and sometimes shy about her artwork. They really weren't anything special, but she enjoyed drawing them all the same. She didn't want to be rude, so she passed him her book. "Sure, go ahead." Inside he would see some doodles of the Christmas trees and pictures of gifts tied up with big bows. On other pages he would see an outline of the Hogwarts Castle, and there was one page in particular that Eliza had spent a lot of time on. There was a picture that she had taken the time to color in some, of an owl.
"Wow, you've never lost points before this? In five years?" She was impressed. Not that she expected herself to lose many either, but after seeing how willy nilly they got thrown around, not to ever lose any was a pretty big deal! "Try not to feel too bad about it. Five years is a long time to have such a good point record!" she said with a smile. But something was odd about what the Headmistress promised him if he found the brooch. "She promised you a chef? Really?" She didn't want to crush his dreams of delicious food, but she just didn't see how that was possible. "Did she mean a really good house elf at Hogwarts? I mean, would your dad really let a chef come work for you?" She giggled at the thought of Daichi being picked up a Kings Cross Station with a chef in a white hat following him around.
She was excited that he was on board with her speaking to the ginger woman. "Oh of course. I won't mention your name. I wouldn't dare compromise my mission partner!" she joked with a wink. "I'm going to go check it out. I'll catch up with you after the party somewhere to let you know what she says!" She figured by the time she waited in line to speak with the Headmistress, the party would have ended. But if she was wrong, she would check these tables for Daichi before she went looking elsewhere.

This whole prefect event had been going quite swimmingly if Selina had to say so herself. The redhead had downed four baskets of cookies, eaten a tub of icing and stolen a cookie from an unsuspecting Kurumi. All in all, it was a pretty eventful and wonderful day. She personally did not celebrate Christmas, but she firmly believed a Christmas miracle came true for her today. Cookies. Ah good, old fashioned, delicious cookies. Even if they weren't her cookies to take. That was all details though.
Chewing on ANOTHER cookie, Selina began to wander around the Great Hall watching everyone hone their holiday spirit. Even the Ravenclaws seemed to have loosened their corsets and were having a good time, which was commendable. Even if their idea of fun was calculating the mass of the gingerbread house.
As she wandered around more, she saw a mass of pillows piled up off to the side of the Great Hall. Whose brilliant idea was it to set up a pillow fight in the Great Hall? Seriously, that person deserved a medal or something. Selina thought that she probably should have known who organized the ordeal, but she had slept through most of the organizing meetings for this event. Her badge said captain, not event organizer. They had head boys and girls for that silly job.
The more she walked over to the pillows the better her sight became and she saw Dylan laying there almost asleep. Heh. He was not very bright. It was like he had painted a huge target on his forehead saying "twack me with a pillow", the dummy.
With the stealth of a baby chinchilla, Selina picked up a pillow and crept over to Dylan. Once she was hovering over his face she lifted her pillow over her head and brought it down fast to hit him in the face.

"Please.. forgive my rudeness," Ethan added with a friendly smile. He prided himself on being well-mannered.. and he certainly wasn't if his company was made to feel as if he wished to be elsewhere.
Beauxbatons.. Ethan leaned back in his seat and smiled wistfully, thinking about his former school. "I think I like Hogwarts.." he began, mulling that thought over. "Yeah, I do," he confirmed with a nod, "Maybe not as much as my old school, though." But to be fair, he had spent four years there and only three months here.. he was still getting used to the fact he had to go to a new school. "We certainly don't have as many classroom disruptions," he said with a chuckle, thinking of how nearly every class had a ghostly or elven appearance. "Is that a regular thing?" The boy gave Hannah a quizzical look. He certainly hoped not.. that would take plenty of getting used to. Not to mention the cold winters.. sure the snow is great for snowballs and skiing, but the boy didn't really care for it on a daily basis. "If you ever get the chance, you really should visit the South of France.. it's really beautiful. There's a private beach we used to visit on the weekend.." Sort of like their Hogsmeade weekend, he guessed. Eh.. now he was feeling all nostalgic and homesick.
Ethan then turned to face Hannah fully as it was her turn to offer something about herself. He nodded at a few points, then chuckled as she said her parents were strict. "Yeah.. I know what that's like," he said with a smirk, then listened as she continued. "Oh, all of them?" he asked lightly as Hannah mentioned her Slytherin family. He thought a lot of families ended up in the same houses, but not always. "I think I told you my mum was in Slytherin," he offered. "A lot of her side of the family was.. There were some Ravenclaws in there too though. My father went to Beauxbatons.." He thought for a moment then added, "His side were all Beauxbatons or Durmstrang.. I don't think any of my ancestors on his side went to Hogwarts." And now he was rambling. The boy quickly shut his mouth and smiled at Hannah to encourage her to continue.
And she had a fairly large family.. "Yeah.. I guess a bit removed from being an only," he said with a grin. "Do any of them go to school here?" He thought for a moment about her question. He never quite knew how to answer it as he didn't know any different than being an only child. "Well... I guess I get a lot of attention," he said with a chuckle. And that was a good thing and bad thing, he guessed. Bad because his parents were super-strict and he couldn't get away with much of anything.. good because he probably was a bit spoiled, if he would admit it. "I do have a few cousins my age," he felt the need to add. A lot of people assumed he had a lonely childhood without siblings.
Anything else? Oh yeah, he'd like to know plenty.. He felt like he had just gotten to the tip of the iceberg. Ethan slung his arm around the back of his chair and leaned into it. "So.. tell me what you like to do for fun.. What's there to do at Hogwarts?" Because so far he hadn't found all that much excitement here.. other than a few games that he didn't really play.
She looked like she might have gotten burned? Hannah had to try hard to fight the urge not to say so what? She was a big girl and could take care of herself. She wondered for a moment if he was this caring about everyone or if he had something going with this person in particular? "Oh I see." Then Ethan was apologizing. Merlin he was charming! Not all people have to be bad Hannah...she scolded herself.
He liked Hogwarts and that was good. Hannah sometimes still to this day felt like she didn't know if she really liked Hogwarts but she wasn't going to go into the reasoning behind why she felt like that. At least not today! "Yeah I guess you haven't been here long enough to really decide either way." Plus his first year here was a crazy one. He even noticed that they were having an awful lot of classroom disruptions. She smiled at him. "No it's never been like this in my years here." She can't really remember ever having any disruptions other than the students doing something wrong, but that was to be expected while teaching magic. "It's really odd...the whole ghosts being in every class and the headmistress barging in like a crazy person over a brooch." Something just wasn't right and Hannah was definitely wondering what was going on. "Even the professors seem different...like they know something...or maybe they are worried about what it going on." This subject really had her attention. "Everyone is making up their own theories." Not to mention the board of governs people being here. Something fishy was definitely going on.
Hannah really like the fact that Ethan seemed like he was really listening to her. Not just listening, but acting like he actually cared about what she had to say. She again felt like Ethan really cared about what she had to say and in return that made her eager to talk some more about herself. What was there really so do at Hogwarts? "Hogemeade is pretty big for us. I enjoy going over there and I also like to bring a blanket and lay out around the lake. It's peaceful." Those were her two main things here at Hogwarts. Now outside of Hogwarts was a different story. "At home I love to play Quidditch and just fly in general. I love the warm weather so I get as much beach time as I can." She felt like she was going on forever about herself and she didn't want to bore him. "Sorry if I am talking too much. What about you? What do you like to do? she wondered.
Having been forcibly thrown out of the Common Room, Phoenix decided to get a drink up in the Seating Area until she knew what was going on, she should probably reply to her mother's owl as well but that could wait until later she decided.
Having got her drink and sunk down onto one of the seats, Phoenix dug the sketchbook she kept shrunk down in her pocket and resized it, propping it on her knees and paused, looking for a good subject to draw.

Pouting, Nessie looked around the great hall trying to decide where to visit next. She had only really been to the cookie area, and there was tons more she wanted to see.
A snack in the seating area maybe? Mmmm. That sounded like the easiest opition for now.
The red head made her way towards the pillow filled area and looked about for a seat. Her focus wasn't very with her and so she barely noticed two of her fellow captains that were so near by. Instead her eyes were hooked onto a chair, a chair that was filled with maybe two pillows way too much for her use. She grabbed one pillow, threw it hard behind her and then did the same with the second one. Both pillow's went flying towards the Slytherin and Gryffindor captains. The first one landed SMACK! right in Selina's face and the second one BOOM! hit Dylan in his stomach.
Unaware of this all, Nessie took her seat feeling as innocent as anything.

She enjoyed having an older friend to turn to at times. Then she listened as she said she was going to try and dip her pizza into her hot chocolate, well that sounded interesting. "Well you try it and tell me how it is." Min could be risky, but she wasn't sure how that would taste.
Belle's eyes widened as she mentioned lightning bugs. "Oh my god..i remember catching those on warm summer evenings." Belle was remembering how easy life was back then. Before she became prefect.
Belle smiled when Minnie said she gave great advice. Belle felt she was doing her job as a best friend. Belle was brave when it came to experimenting with food. She even dipped french fries in ice cream frosties sometimes. She took her smore's pizza and dipped it in her hot coco. Belle took a bite. Her taste buds exploded with flavor. "Yumm it tastes good!" Belle said surprised. She expected it to taste bad. "So what did you wish for this christmas?" Belle asked. Belle would tell Minnie her wish if she told hers.

Dylan was nearly asleep when a shadow feel over his face. Not paying it too much attention, he rolled over on his stomach, burying his face down into the pillows. They were so soft...and they smell like gingerbread...Yep, he'd need to...YAWN...have some more of the giant house when he woke..........
.............Suddenly, he was being attacked!!
The Slytherin's eyes snapped open and he glared...Not at anyone in particular until he spied the redhead...Skylar! Ugh! "You crazy female. What........?"
He didn't even get a chance to finish his question because another pillow hit him square in the back of the head. What was going on here? When had everyone suddenly gotten so brave?! Getting to his feet quickly (for someone who was so drowsy), he eyed the immediate area. The other attacker would have to be nearby...Then he spotted another redhead, attempted to look more innocent than he personally knew her to be.
That's right, Dixon. I KNOW it was you.
Were they ganging up on him? "The two of you better cut it out..." Did they not see he was exhausted?
Crazy females.

"No. My older brother Marcos works at the Ministy and my two younger siblings are not old enough to come here yet." Yeah they were all pretty much spread out. She grined at him when he added that he had cousins. "Well I am glad that you were not deprived of your childhood." she added playfully.
She again felt like Ethan really cared about what she had to say and in return that made her eager to talk some more about herself. What was there really so do at Hogwarts? She felt like she was going on forever about herself and she didn't want to bore him. "Sorry if I am talking too much. What about you? What do you like to do? she wondered.
Ethan nodded slowly as Hannah discussed the current classroom disruptions. Well, that was good to know that this wasn't a regular occurrence as he had remembered thinking how hard it would be to learn much of anything here with all that going on. But then if that wasn't normal.. why was it happening so much now? Ghosts, headmistress, right.. "And the house elves, too," he added, remembering their interruptions. "Where I'm from, they're typically not seen." Not that he had a problem with the little creatures really, but wasn't it in their nature to perform their duties unseen? Apparently not at Hogwarts. His eyes wandered back over to her face as she continued, his own face becoming contemplative. He couldn't really comment on the professors, this being his first year and all, but he raised an inquisitive eyebrow to her next words.. Everyone is making up their own theories. "And do you have a theory as well?" Because he'd like to hear it.
Ethan smiled at the girl as she complimented his family. "Well, thank you," he said with genuine appreciation. His parents might be strict and drive him crazy but he felt he was rather close with them, including his extended family, and he was quite proud of that. "Yours sounds quite nice as well," he added with a smile. He had always wondered what it would be like to have a brother or sister.. and even though Hannah's siblings didn't seem very close in age, he thought she was pretty lucky to have them. "The British Ministry?" he asked as she mentioned her brother. And he figured it was that one, wasn't she from around here? "What does he do there?" the boy asked with a bit of curiosity. This was his OWL year after all and he knew he'd have to soon choose a path for some sort of career. And he had no idea what he wanted to do.. maybe if he heard about something interesting that could help him decide. Eh.
He chuckled lightly as she commented on his childhood. Nice sense of humor that one had. "No, certainly not deprived.." he grinned at her. "I do miss them though, they go to Beauxbatons," he added, his smile fading ever so slightly. Or at least two of them did.. and that meant he did not see them nearly as much as he did last term. He shrugged. It is what it is.
The fifth year tilted his head as he listened to Hannah talk of things to do. Hogsmeade had been fun, he nodded as he remembered the one weekend they got to go this term. And sitting at the lake sounded nice to.. he was sure the view was beautiful. "Oh, I like Quidditch too.. Do you play on the House team here?" he thought back to the last game and didn't remember Hannah being there, but maybe she just didn't play that day. "I don't play much but I'm a big fan.. Who's your team? I like the Heidelberg Harriers," he said with a grin. That was obvious though, since they were from his hometown. His grin grew at her mention of the beach. He was definitely a warm weather fan and the beach was probably his favorite hangout. Too bad there was nothing like that here.
The Ravenclaw boy offered her a friendly smile. Talking too much? "No, of course not.." He had wanted to know a bit about her, that's why he asked.. He was just glad she was comfortable enough to talk freely to him. And what did he like to do? He already mentioned Quidditch.. "Well, I do prefer the warmer weather and visiting the beach.. but sometimes snow can be fun for skiing. Sometimes we visit the Swiss Alps for that." Like once or twice a year, because any more than that and the snow's novelty wore off. Cold could only be so much fun. "We have a few horses and Abraxans at home.. they're fun for riding." Oh and speaking of riding.. he thought of something else that was fun.. "One of my friends from Beauxbatons has this Muggle car called a Ferrari, I think.. I don't know how to operate it, but it's really fun when it goes really fast.. kinda like riding a broom but on the ground." Of course, his mother would kill him if she knew he was riding around in that thing, but he supposed the fact that he wasn't allowed made it even more exciting.

... yes, thank you Beezus for bringing up such an awkward topic. Louisa fidgeted a bit before standing up and taking Viola into her arms, leaving Cuddles in Vickers' lap. "Umm... I'll just.. I'll get something for the cats and be right back." She scurried off to where the house-elves were doing their culinary magic. It was an excuse to get her pale color back and--
Whao. Louisa arrived just as a Patronus appeared in front of the Gryffindor Prefects, she frowned trying to recognize the silvery creature. But oh, it was a message from the Headmistress. The Ravenclaw waited until the Patronus vanished and turned on her heels back to the seating area, keeping her hold onto Viola. Carefully, she climbed onto one of the couches and flailed one arm in the air to get the attention of everyone. "Hey guys? Hey... hey... HEY!" Ahem. "Guys, we need to pack everything up early, sadly." Viola was squirming in her hands but Louisa kept her gaze focused on the students sitting around. "So please take whatever you're eating, drinking, but not throwing-" Glare at the pillow fighters. "-with you. And.. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!" BEAM.
Yep, that was it. End of the show.
Louisa descended from the couch and headed to Beezus and Vickers, "Hey guys, can you please take my cats with you? I'll see you outside." She handed the second cat to her boy (<3) and turned away to start cleaning everything up, and badger the captains to help.
