How wrong she was. Oh....Taylor. "Eh, she's all right. I'm fairly certain she doesn't like me." But that didn't matter...at all. TO Elliot, anyways. "And his ex girlfriend...I don't know if you know her..Minnie She's a puffer...and she's...annoying." and stupid, just like most Puffs. Ugh. "Obviously, Pres. I can't have these good looks," she fluttered her eyelashes and laughed, "wasted on an ugly guy..." No. Looks were important to Elliot, too, Presley. "He has curly black hair...and brown eyes...I know, it doesn't sound attractive, but he is." Aaaannd..."he's way nicer to me than my father ever was." Maybe that was shy she liked him so much. "But...I think he has a dark side. And I'm...determined to see it." Muahahaha! |

With another flap of his wonky wings, Furmgoat made it to the top of the towers, where the dormitories were tehre. And found the girl at the study tables. Ooh! A studious student, she was then! "Hoo!!" Flew in Furmgoat, disturbing the silence by loudly hooting and flapping wings. He dropped the letter into the girl's lap: Quote:

Presley was aparently Miss Popular today. This was her second letter in as many hours. She still hadn't read the one she suspected was from her brothers Fiance. Pres set it on the table next to the newly finished letter to her father and continued talking with Elliot. She cocked her head to the side. "Nope. I've never even heard of her." What kind of name was 'Minnie' anyway? And why did Elliot keep going on about this nice thing? She didn't even like nice people! So Pres just asked her. "Elliot, why does how nice he is even matter?" Not that Presley was opposed to nice guys, but Elliot usually was. "I should meet him sometime. Soon." Presley decided out loud. "How about we all have lunch or something tomorrow?" Lunch in the Great Hall was still meeting him. Presley flipped open the letter and groaned. Manolo. "I think my cousin knows." About her father. The news definitely was making its rounds on the family. Presley needed to send that letter right this very second. |

"Sure...I'll let him know." Yep. Nodnodnod. "He won't object. He's a bit...sad right now. His mother died over the summer..." which was something those two had in common! Dead mothers! What a horrible thing to think, Elliot!....oh well. *Fail* Oh, no. "Manolo? Your cousin? She'd heard of him, she thought. "You should send it soon, then." Like...now. |

Presley felt an instant pang in her heart when Elliot mentioned dead mums. Poor Maxwell. How could Presley resent him like this when he was mourning the loss of the person who had probably cared for him more than anybody else on earth? That's what mothers were for after all. Her hand went unconsciously to the bracelet she never went without. It had been her mum's. Poor Maxwell. "Yeah. He's only a couple of years older than me. But I had lunch with him at the Three Broomsticks the other day and he noticed I wasn't talking about Zebhidiyah. So I'm going to run up to the Owlery and send this letter right now. I'll see you later?" Presley gathered up her things and folded the letter. If it didn't get out now, she wouldn't be mentioned at Halloween parties, and people would notice. Next she had to write to Leo and Maine, and reply to Manolo. So much to do! |
XD at her being jealous! Quote:
Older than I, Presley, dear. BUt Elliot didn't correct her...this time. Not the time for that, nooo! She didn't think her dear friend would appreciate that..."Yeah...go..." because Halloween was fast approaching...it was if she could read Pres' mind.. "Definitely. Keep me posted on what he says.." she couldn't help but feel a bit nervous for Presley. Her father was no better than Darius..hmmmph. |

HTF#1 Post #4 Cradling a pot in full bloom have shown that Vickers’ idea worked incredibly well, the wire mesh being completely covered now by white flowers, having grown through and crawled around the wiry framework. It was rather lovely to behold just as it was in its pot, but Vickers wasn’t done yet. Now he had to assemble the rest of his project, having collected certain pieces over several days when he was waiting for the flowers to bloom fully. He emptied out his rucksack and took a circular wooden board, attaching it securely onto a raised rotating track with a sticking charm, completely covering a magically powered music box nestled in the bottom. With the base completed he took hold of the pot and again attached it securely on top of the circular wooden board. With a murmur of the locomotor spell he traced the wandstroke against the rotating base, and the pot with its flowery structure started to turn. As it turned the magical music box came to life, softly playing a simple chime. It went on this way for about a minute before slowly spinning into a halt. That test went rather well. Now one last thing… He picked up a tri-fold wooden panel about the size of the flowery figurine plus its base. Each panel had a mirror attached to its inner side and with a slight shift of his hands the reflective panel swung inwards from its hinges. He attached the middle panel against the base with a strong sticking charm but left the ends of the panel to swing freely, reflecting the different angles to the flower figurine as it turns to the music. Finally with his project working properly when open, Vickers closed the other two wooden panels to enclose the flowery figure within. He painted the now triangular cylinder a nice red color and waited for the paint to dry. He looked up at the timepiece in the study area-- Louisa would be making her rounds soon. Quickly he picked up the cylinder and made his way out of the Common Room. |
It happened so suddenly, and quietly, but it happened all the same: the hardworking students who had been studying at the Ravenclaw study tables suddenly found themselves pushed out of their seats, shoved out from their desks, rolled out of their common room, and generally ejected from their House's private area. An unseen force repelled all Ravenclaw students from the Common Room and attached areas, and locked all entrances and exits to the rooms. The Common Room was officially locked and sealed. |
