That's right, she was taking the bag full of potions she had seen the girl rummaging through before pulling out the two that were in her hand.
Looking at the bottles the girl was trying to hand to another student she seen just how they were labeled. "Headaches and nausea. The last time I looked I believe I was the only healer around here. What makes you think you can go around handing out healing potions to students?"
Elise perked up a little when she saw the healer, forgetting for a moment how mean she could be. But this was waaay worse than a dislocated wrist. And Elise didn't know how to heal stuff. Not yet, she needed to learn her healing charms and such first.
Raising her left hand a little, she winced and put it back on the table. No moving. Nope. Well... maybe the healer'd see her arm and try to help? Highly unlikely, she knew.
But there was no chance that she'd go ask her now, when she was so obviously irritated.

She could relate though, her stomach was getting restless and wanted food in it now, but luckily she had a snack, "You hungry? Here you can have some if you like," She said breaking her chocolate frog in half and holding it out for him to take.
"King of the Best Boat?" She giggled as he metion another term she had never heard of and assumed this boy was making it up, "Well if she pushed you out, then wouldn't that title go over to her? If you were in fact in the 'best boat'..." Ari joked. Although, Ari had to disagree because you boat had to have been the best. She gasped and flung her hands in front of her face as the boy shook his head wildly, sending doplets of water everywhere, and giggled, YET AGAIN!
This was the first time anyone had ever laughed or giggled at anything Dustin did or said. Well, other than his family. But they were REQUIRED to laugh at his stuff. He told them as much. He liked this feeling, whatever it was. ANOTHER!
His eyes grew wide at the offer of a chocolate frog. Half of him REALLY wanted to take it, because he hadn't even gotten a snack from the food trolley. That #veryimportantlooking red-hair-lady had seen to that with her...yelling about yelling and indoor voices. WHATEVEr. But the other half of him was so enamored by the offer that he couldn't bear to take it from her. If he did that, he'd have to provide something in return. But what?
"That's....actually really very kind," he admitted, finally. "But...I feel guilty! I'm pretty sure I just heard your stomach grumble. Or rumble. Or growl- OHHHHHHH was that where the word grumble comes from? Growl and rumble? That makes sense." By then, he had mostly forgotten about his hunger, as he was far too interested in the origins of funny-sounding words, like feet or pickle.
He couldn't help but chuckle at the girl's question. "Would that make her King of BEST!BOAT? Surely not. She was a GIRL. If anything, she'd be Queeeeeeeeeen. But even still, no she was NOT! As he was waiting on the answer from giggle-girl, who he still had yet to ask the name of, another girl addressed him. She sounded...not happy.
"No. Well....I am rubber you are glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and goes back to Y-O-U YOUUUUUUUU!" he retorted, all sing-song. "What about a plumber?"
Neil looked left and right. This was getting more and more peculiar. Students who wore blue were filling this table, and he was wearing yellow. Was this some conspit or something? This word he heard his parents say quite a lot. Yes. Conspitirity.
This was happening.
Out of the blue, a boy turned to him and spoke. Neil stared at the boy's nose for a few second, simply mesmerized by how it wiggled as he spoke. Peculiar.
"Plumbers? Uhm. Well, plumbers, I think are the back-bone of the society. Without them, people will be live as if they were animals."
Safe reply. That's what his father would always say. Give a safe reply.

That made absolute perfect sense. But he still didn't understand why anyone would bring them up so randomly.
"Well, yes, I agree. But...why are we talking about them?" Dustin was the one baffled for once. As a result, he scrunched up his face, taking special note to raise an eyebrow. His nostrils probably also flared in the process. His face was so scrunched he really couldn't tell.

"No really, I'm sure the feast will begin soon and I would feel just as guilty if I sat here eating it while your stomach growls," Ariella said trying to reason with this boy who had refused the chocolate. Yeah, thats right! He refused chocolate! Ari cocked her head to the side. He was right, that was actually a really good mash up of rumble and growl, plus it did make sense... "Do you always do that? Mash up words together?"
Ariella rolled her eyes, "Well alright then QUEEN of the Best!Boat, but I think that title should go to me!" She smirked, her boat had to have been better than his, "besides, what makes you think your boat was the best?" She giggled once again, Best!Throne? How come nobody told her of this before?! Ari raised her eyebrow and crossed her arms of her chest and looked at the boy skeptically, "Oh? And how you get the Best!Thone?"
Did she like to giggle? What kind of a question was that? Then again, coming from this boy it shouldn't have been very surprising to Ariella, "Well, yeah I guess I do...I'll giggle at anything I find funny," She said shrugging her shoulders.
Just then the boy blurted out another odd question that caused Ari to jump in her seat because of the volume he asked it at, did she like him. Like, as a friend? "Well, I guess I like you, you havn't given me any reason not too..."

Terry felt awkward heading over to the Ravenclaw table, he admitted. Now that he had been sorted into Slytherin, he felt like an intruder heading over to the table, a sea of blue and silver. Before the sorting, he didn't think he'd feel that way, he didn't belong anywhere and do he thought he'd be accepted but now he wasn't part of their house and they were all clubbed together.
His eyes wandered up and down the table as he stood there, hoping to see someone that he recognised but apparently failing. He hoped that someone would talk to him soon otherwise he would have to head on back to his table and sit there once more. It wasn't that he didn't like his new housemates, it was that he didn't know that many other Slytherins.
The twelve year old didn't dare sit unless he was stared or shouted. But they weren't like that at Hogwarts.
Louisa chuckled quietly and waved her hand, "It's just a badge, no big deal, really." Not that she wasn't proud and incredibly nervous this term but nope, no crowns whatsoever. Then Vashti came up, what a brilliant cheerful subject at last! Louisa's face beamed and she nodded vigorously at Erin, "Yes! Vashti Greenwell. She's still my best friend, now honeymooning with her husband in Hawaii." While she was stuck in school about to wipe off some firstie's snot.
Not gonna happen for real, though.
Anyways, the cat talk made the seventeen years old feel relaxed even more! She "aah"ed when Erin clarified, "Oh, right. But now you have a cat, you say?! Posy, that's cute." Louisa leaned her elbows on the table and voiced out her thoughts, "Okay, it seems that there are quite a lot of cats in the common room this term. I have two, Viola and a kitten that I haven't named yet. So maybe we can built a cat house in the common room where they all get acquainted and play together while we study and do our business? What do you think?" Louisa was already excited to do this! EEP!
"Thank you, Silvia!" Louisa replied cheerfully, feeling the familiarity of all those faces seeping into her tensed body and soothing her down. "How was your summer, then?" HER summer was fantastic in general so it was a safe question to ask someone in case they deflect.
She caught the movement somewhere on the opposite side of the table and her eyes caught Max sliding closer to where the group was sitting... if you count this as a "group". Louisa gave him a way more cheerful smile than the one he got this morning, "Max, hi!" She leaned forward on her elbows again facing him and chuckled, "Yeah, carrying a concussed girl on a stretcher with her boyfriend on a verge of breakdown was the highlight of my day." She shook her head and chuckled once again.
But then it really occurred to her that she didn't see him on the Platform or at the carriages, "How did you do? Are you okay? Did you break anything?" Like... not a vase or other earthly positions, but limbs and bones. He shoulder get it. Right?
It sucked that she had to play the serious sterny girl with him now, because she really wanted to extend her cheerfulness over to him and beam and grin and all that. But he stole the identity of a Prefect, whether he regretted it or not, and since she didn't get the chance to actually talk about that she had to keep her beaming and grins at bay. So, she just beamed. Not like a thunder beam but more like a small bulb beam.
"Thank you!" It was more of breathing out than saying the words. But it meant a lot to her to hear it from him, it was valuable from other people too but... Vickers and her had a very unique bond in her head so..
"How are you? Did you have to see the Healer? Did anything happen to you? Or... fall on you?" Because he was tall enough to have all the luggage hitting him first on their way down. OH and she forgot to point out that she now changed topics and was talking about the train breaking down.
Awww, wasn't that sweet? Louisa chuckled, unable to understand the enthusiasm behind Quidditch, but she nodded encouragingly at him all the same. "That's good news. I've had a broom of my own once, too. You know, tried to get this flying thing under control but it got smashed up in the finals and I just gave up." She shrugged and started pouring herself a glass of water as the boy asked her a question.
"It's only been one day and I'm already tired, I tell you. I mean everyone else is tired, I think. What with the train breaking down and us having to take portkeys? Did you get hurt anywhere, by the way? When the train came to a sudden halt? Or after you took the portkey?" Seriously, she needed to know how everyone was doing after all that.
Those words were enough for the Ravenclaw to drop EVERYTHING she was doing, including a water pitcher and a goblet, and for her head to snap toward the talker. A blonde not-young girl, who called Vickers Vick and implied that he had been "sore" because she didn't tell him something. Which was a dead giveaway that they were friends, and on first-name-basis friends. How... lovely.
Clearing her throat, Louisa repositioned her hold on the pitcher and the glass and started pouring water again, her eyes maybe were on the water pouring process but the rest of her was waiting for HIS answer. Not that she miiiiiinded what he would say, pfft, no. Of course not. Why would she? No logical reasons. She was just curious about those things that made Vickers sore. Since they were class partners and friends too. She was totally cool.
... who was this girl, by the way? Not young enough to be a firstie and totally a new face.
A NEW RAVVIE!
"HAI! Welcome to Ravenclaw house, I've seen your hat sorting ceremony." She leaned over to be closer to the new girl, who seemed quite the shy one, and extended her hand toward her. "I'm Louisa Carter, seventh year. Nice to meet you," aaaaand she waaaas? This was her cue to introduce herself so that they could get acquainted more. Maybe even become friends, or Louisa would help her find friends.
The food wasn't here yet, it wouldn't be here until the headmistress gave the speech. So they could sit here with everyone else and chitchat!
Louisa nodded her head at the Gryffindor, "Yeah. Everyone's either been nursed for mild scratches or bruises, or is with the Healer I think." Her hand started drawing circles on her empty plate as she gave herself another moment to think this over, "Did anyone you know got any broken bone or something serious?" She asked, concern all over her face. No one who was close enough to Louisa were injured as far as she knew, but some of her 'formal' friends were and it felt just as bad. Sigh.
"Just like me and Kita. She's graduated three terms ago and now is married but we're still just as close." Maybe juuuuust a little less since she got her work and responsibilities. Louisa smiled at the both of them then and internally wished they'd stay like that. "Vashti and I were like that too. Just don't let anything comes between you two, okay?" Because Louisa was missing all of her besties so darn much this term already, "Not even a love potion. Cherish those moments." And.. that love potion came from experience. *cough*
Louisa chuckled at Ari's last remark, "Yeah. Oakey's quite an excited lad for a Hufflepuff if you ask me. Is he one of your friends?" Louisa knew him but she wouldn't call themselves friends yet.
Then Gwen congratulated her! Louisa beamed at the fellow fifth year, "Thank you, Gwen. I hope I don't disappoint y'all." Particularly their Head of House, professor Vee. She respected the dude!
........................... blink.
Was this girl calling her *choke* Louza? LOUISA. "Louisa." she replied rather curtly before looking down at her chest where the badge was pinned and smiled again at the younger Slytherin, "Thank you, Cassiel. It's new." She knew the girl's name was Cassia, of course. But let's see how do snakes take their names getting all messed up by eagles, shall we? Heheh. "How was your summer?" The young snake seemed to be friends with Gwen, too. Interesting.

She raised her eyes and tracked down the source of the voice, finally managing to spot Louisa. ‘Hi!’, she greeted the older Ravenclaw. After a moment, Gwendolyn realized there was something that even Ari had told her on the train ride, after the Gryffindor came back from the corridor. Louisa was Head Girl! ‘Congratulations!’, the fifth year said with a grin.
She felt like asking Louisa at least how she was, but the girl seemed rather busy talking to the students at the Ravenclaw table. After all, they would get to talk some other time, right? Maybe at the Common Room. In the next moment, the girl heard Louisa say something, making Gwen smirk. Well. She and Ari had been best friends before even coming to Hogwarts. And that was just what the Gryffindor just replied.
Looking back at Ariadne, Gwen felt relieved that she hadn’t arrived that late. Good. Gwen immediately drew her attention to the first years. ‘Hmm’, she mused, eyeing the kid as the sorting hat was placed on his head. ‘Slytherin?’ That was her first guess. And it was correct. So now it is even..., the fifth year thought and a smug appeared on her face
As one of the first years stepped out from the crowd and approached the sorting hat, Gwen tried to guess what house he would get. ‘Hufflepuff... definitely’, she chuckled. Because that kid looked just like a Puff. She was just waiting for the sorting hat to confirm that she was right... and as it announced the house of that firstie... her face just dropped.
Ravenclaw.
She glimpsed back at Ari, giving her one of those ‘Seriously?!?!’ looks. ‘Hmm?’ What was Ari saying? Gwen had been concentrating on the game, but now she decided to pay attention to what her bestie was saying. ‘No, I don’t think so...’, she said simply. They wouldn’t be needing the piece of parchment... They could just keep it in mind, right? ‘I say each guess is worth one point. But how about if you get one wrong?’ Will points be taken? Because in that case, she was back to zero... just because of that kid who was meant to be a Hufflepuff. Hmph.
Text Cut: Cassia and Ariadne
Gwen was getting all competitive with the game she had just started with Ariadne. But she knew that the Gryffindor was one of the people who couldn’t afford losing, so this would mean she needed to pay extra attention. What? She couldn’t admit being last either... ‘So how about that one?’ She asked, looking at the eleven-year-old girl, who was just heading to the sorting hat. Come ooon. Think!, she told herself, but her thoughts were interrupted as she heard a voice call her name.
‘Hi!’, she greeted the young Slytherin with a grin. She moved a bit to the left to make enough room for Cassia at the table as well, but didn’t say anything else, since Ariadne already started talking about the game. ‘Umm... that’s all. I mean, you just need to make the guess before the sorting hat announces the house. Obviously’, the fith year said and then looked back at Cassia. ‘Want to join us?’ She had nothing against her playing the game. After all, it may be even more fun with more people.
And now back to the sorting ceremony...
Gwen had been focusing on the sorting ceremony, so, even though she heard footsteps approaching the place where she was sitting at the table, she didn’t mind to look at who it was. Mehh. Perhaps a student she didn’t even know. But then a girl asked if the seat beside her was taken, this getting Gwen’s attention. ‘Umm... no. You can sit here’, the fifth year said simply, willing to look back at the sorting ceremony. But something made her stop.
Hmmm.
Wasn’t this girl one of those first years which Ari had guessed the house for? She was. Gwen was sure about this. 'Welcome to Ravenclaw', she said. Well, even though she wasn’t very fond of younger students, this girl was a Ravenclaw, so she had to have some brains, right? This would mean that it wouldn’t be completely useless to start a conversation with her.
Vee sat down and smiled her thanks for the welcome, following the girl's gaze towards the other first years who hadn't been sorted yet.
"How long does this usually last? I'm absolutely famished," she asked. looking at the girl again. "I'm Vee, by the way, it's my first year." She could see the girl was interested in the ceremony, but she didn't give the impression of being totally averse to conversation either. Or so Vee hoped.
She looked around, noting how most of the new students looked rather timid and all the older ones excited and happy to be catching up with friends. The atmosphere in the Hall was one of uplifting expectation.
"Our stuff gets delivered to our rooms, right? What about our pets?" she asked after a moment, thinking of Berry. "I've got this cat who's absolutely mental even though he can be a sweetie if he wants to be, but he likes to wander off and I'm kind of worried about him. I spent almost an hour looking for him on the train earlier on." She chatted away, here eyes going between the ceremony and the girl, her mind between her surroundings and her imaginings of what kind of trouble Berry might have gotten into.
She caught the movement somewhere on the opposite side of the table and her eyes caught Max sliding closer to where the group was sitting... if you count this as a "group". Louisa gave him a way more cheerful smile than the one he got this morning, "Max, hi!" Whoa, a concussion? Max frowned. "Yikes! That's no good." And kind of gross. Internal head injuries were tricky beasts. "Sorry you had to do that. Does she seem to be okay?"
Max forced a small smile. Aside from being thoroughly surprised at the amount of injuries resulting from portkey travel, he turned out all right. But he had still never seen so many wounded in one place. "Oh, no - I've traveled by portkey before - I'm fine. I helped a few first years - they were mostly okay, more confused and lost than seriously hurt." Which was good, because Max didn't do well with blood.
"Are you okay?" He leaned in close, concern on his face that hinted that he didn't just mean physically. Was she okay emotion-wise? And mentally? Was she distraught? Was she actually OKAY?

While Max shared attention from Louisa with others, he busied himself with the hem of his robe sleeves. This was his LAST start-of-term feast. Had Louisa thought of that? Would it be inconsiderate to point it out to her? Probably. She probably wasn't one to rejoice over the end.
Neither was Max.
He was watching Louisa's conversing out of the corner of his eye and listening to those around him when he noticed the Head Girl went rigid for just a moment. He looked up at her, then followed her gaze to... an older, unfamiliar-looking, very beautiful young woman at the table. Who was that? His eyes fell upon Louisa once more. Why had she reacted that way... over the girl talking to Vickers?
...But, once again, more importantly, who WAS that girl?
OH! There was Beezus coming in. SHE got great big smiles from Addy. And waves, Definitely a wavey thing going on there. Beezus seemed like good people and all. "Hey Beezus! How was the remainder of your summer?" Addy called out and SMILED BIGGER.
BUT.
Her attention was caught by a couple of little ones talking about Plumbers. What the? "If you have a clogged drain I am sure there is a spell for that. Probably in a Lockhart book," Addy offered with a snort.

His nose was truly a thing of perfection. The way the nostrils flared up when he took a deep breath, and the way it wiggled was simply majestic. If any of those old artists were still alive, they would've made a sculpture purely out of his nose.
Outstanding.

Neil turned around at the other person that spoke of plumbing. Did this school have a class about the wonders of plumbing? Perhaps plumber appreciation 101? He did not know. He did't want to know.
"A spell? Uhm. I haven't used the restroom yet, so I wouldn't know if the drain is clogged or not. It would be useful in the future, though."
Tay shrugged, "Traveled around the world, what about you?" She offered a smile.

"What's wrong, Taylor?" The seventeen years old's face showed her mild concern as she sat next to the girls. Hopefully she wasn't one of those to take off their bandages before their wounds have healed.

Taylor looked from behind Ariana to Louisa, "Well... I dont really know... I mean that is the problem..." She sighed and stepped out from behind her friend/cousin/enemy. "I mean I hit my head three times today and whenever I see my boy--- erm... I guess he is my exboyfriend... but anyways whenever I see him... I dont know... it seems like I start to get annoyed and angry at him for no reason at all... or at least that is what he and she" She gestured to Ariana, "says... each time they said that I got angry I dont remember anything about it." Tay sighed and glanced down.
Were they?
Oh, great. Cora took a deep breath. She had already arrived a bit late to the feast, and she didn't recognize a single person. Not many even knew who she was, at least Cora thought so. While she sat silently, nervously twirling her hair, she looked up and saw a boy who seemed almost as out of place as she felt.
Since she was so shy, at first Cora decided to just ignore him. After a moment, though, she thought she should be nice. Taking a deep breath, she looked up at him. "H-Hi," she said. "I'm Cora." That was all she was able to manage, and it was spoken in such a quiet voice that she couldn't be sure if he had heard. She smiled politely, wondering if he would even notice her. She quickly tucked a lock of her curly brown hair behind her ear and bit her lip nervously.

WHY WAS HE HERE?
Ravenclaw wasn't cool, and being here was kinda damaging to his street cred, but... he was prepared to make an appearance for his bestie, Blue. Of course, he couldn't see her anywhere so that was useless. What if something happened to her when they went on the Portkey?! He had hold of her hand, but obviously had let go at some point.
He felt bad and sooo hoped she was okay and alive.
Deciding to wait for her, Theo took a seat at the Ravenclaw table and twiddled his thumbs. Not much was happening here, so he started to sulk.

Nell finally slunk into the Great Hall and slipped into the nearest seat at the table. She had gotten some medicine for her concussion and was thankfully not seeing things anymore. Now all she wanted was to eat and go to bed. This had been by far the worst first day of her school career. She put her head into her hands breathing through the pain. The second potion for her headache was taking an awfully long time to kick in.
When she thought about the things she had said....
Groaning aloud Nell wondered how she was ever going to be able to face Edmund and Issac again. Where the bloody blazes had she come up with a pink princess?! Embarrassment had her face coloring a dark crimson but thankfully no one could see.

Elise was bored. And the Healer was soooo mad t hat Elise didn't even think about talking to her. Nope. Never. Ever. Well, at least not yet. Presley was spacing out and she wasn't really talking to anyone. That was, until a Slytherin student flopped down opposite her.
And he was sulking. Why was he sulking? IF anyone had to sulk, it'd be her. But she was hap-hap-happy. So he should be too. "Hi!" she beamed, waving her unbandaged hand. "I'm Elise."

And I want to cheer you up.
Hi? That wasn't Blue, for sure. Blue always greeted with a 'THEOOOOOOOOO' or something. The boy looked up and half-smiled at a girl who looked kinda like Alice... Eh... "Hello." He replied, still sulking here and there.
One Ravenclaw would not stop his pouting. He didn't even like Ravenclaws.
"Nice to meet you, I think." Well, he didn't even know her so that wasn't rude AT ALL. "I'm Theo." Yeah, he was getting used to that nickname now. Even starting to like it.
The 'Dore' was officially dropped.

Suddenly: MORE SLYTHERINS!
Adam grinned. Now was his chance to meet other people. "Hey!" Classy start, right? But Adam didn't have any witty onpening jokes or stuff like that. So 'Hey' was all right for now.
"Hi." she said rather quickly as she had a crisis on her hands

"I'm sorry i didnt mean to interrupt, i dont know why my manners went im terribly sorry." she said to the head girl & those she was talking with "But taylor isnt remembering things and her memory span is getting shorter, she'll get really mad and then two seconds later she'll be fine but wont remember how she got to where she was or what's going on if she traveled while she was angry." she said not knowing what was going on in the least
Okay then...Lex leaned a bit further from him when he began talking in a hyper tone. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate his enthusiasm because really she did. It was just that she had never seen an older kid give such a ...a weird greeting in response to her own. Lex was expecting him to scowl at her or something...like some of the other older students had been doing all evening. She liked this one; he was different too so she gave him a wider smile before giggling a bit. "You're funny you know that? I'm Alexa." BEAM.
Was it that obvious??? "Uh yup! I just got sorted into Gryffindor but I got bored of the table so I decided to walk around for a bit." That was pretty much it. The 11 year old had never been very good at seating in one place for too long. "And what year are you in?" She asked, staring up at him with curious brown eyes. He was definitely in one of the higher classes because he looked a lot older than her.
Woops. He had scared the kid off. NO COME BACK FIRSTIE YOU'RE MY ONLY FRIEND. But then the firstie smiled back and giggled and he couldn't help but think he kinda liked this kid. "I do know that," he agreed and smiled shyly. "Hi Alexa, I'm Hugo," he grinned.
"Oh, well you seem like a true Gryffindor already, Alexa." he told her. "Seventh year Ravenclaw," Hugo replied. Seventh. Year. "Going out into the big, scary world soon," he muttered. It made him quite sad to be leaving Hogwarts, to be honest. "How are you liking Hogwarts so far, Alexa?" he asked, changing the subject of him leaving.

Alec didn't really know what he was doing. His hands were dug deep in his pockets and he was just wandering around when all of a sudden... he somehow managed to end up walking along the Ravenclaw Table. It wasn't as if he knew that many Ravenclaws. He only knew two, Blue and Ice Cream Beezus. And, as he looked around, the two of them weren't here.
Great.
And there wasn't even ice cream anywhere on the table. Not yet. He could... sit down and just wait for the ice cream to appear, right? Right! Alec moved forwards and sat down in an empty seat. There. Now he was ready to eat some ice cream! Maybe they were going to have a different flavour ice cream here? Like blueberry? Because Ravenclaw was the blue house! Awesome!
Alec grinned down at the table. Now, he just needed someone to share it with! His eyes flew up and he looked around and... wow. He didn't know anyone here. Who was he going to share ice cream with? YIKES. Who would... who would...
The girl sitting next to him looked really familiar. Had he... seen her around somewhere before? Yeah, he didn't really know. "Hey!" 'Cause, you know, he couldn't just randomly start asking if someone wanted ice cream... could he?

Adam noticed how brisk this girl was. He decided to find out what this was all about.
As he listened to the Slytherin girl explain something... his brain just about imploded. If he was drinking something, he'd spit it out. "That... that sounds like... what Am... has." he said faintly. Hoow could that be??

Scotland=Hug??
Adam didn't get that logic, but oh well. "It is! Or at least a dang slight nicer than the prats in France at the Sneezey School."
